Position was fantastic. staff very attentive. Good food. Walls slightly too thin. Can hear noisy neighbours at night
Very nice room, beautiful lake and mountain view, the staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful but not intrusive.
The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic and more than helpful. I am coeliac and had brought food for my breakfast and they were very happy to prepare this every morning for me. The pool area and loungers and view of the lake from the sitting out area was beautiful. We really had a relaxing stay. The only thing was the drinks in the hotel were a bit expensive but we partly guessed that they would be as we were not booking it as a backpackers stopover.
Everything was wonderfull, magical hotel in the most beutifull town.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely, friendly staff and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were fantastic! The rooms were nice although maybe a little bland!
We really enjoyed our time at the Hotel Continental. The location was great a 2 minute walk to the town. So not as noisey as the hotels in the centre. The service and staff were friendly and very helpful. Would go back again.
Very helpful staff at reception desk. Wonderful location overlooking Lake Garda and just a few minutes walk into the hustle and bustle of Sirmione. A lovely place to stay. Can't understand all the complaints on Booking.com about the sparrows - it's not hard to share a crumb or two with them! Personally, we found women/men walking round the hotel carrying their lap dogs more of a concern !!
high service level, nice atmosphere,
The location of the hotel is perfect - having breakfast on the terrace with the water lapping the boardwalk a few feet away was idyllic. Being able to meander along the lake shore walk at any time of the day or night without having to worry about driving or parking was a treat in itself. The are many restaurants to choose from within 5 minutes stroll & the town of Salo itself is beautiful. Loved the room!!!
I had a perfect stay in the hotel. Food was exquisite. Location directly at Lake Garda also with a perfect view from the balcony of my upgraded room.
The location of the hotel was great. The 100km restaurant menu was great & the staff were very helpful. 24hour free internet access in the lobby was a great help.
location of the hotel and the beautiful bedroom, staff were very friendly too the breakfast was poor and they ran out of some of the items also the service was slow
The room was bording - there was'nt any dekoration.
Nice location and friendly staff
Firstly, the staff, who were helpful, polite, informative, and responsive.Secondly, the thoughtful little touches, like scented candles, sweets, and a teddy-bear at turn-down time in the evening.Thirdly, the immaculate cleanliness of the whole place.Fourthly, free and secure parking. Finally, the superb position right on the lakeside and promenade. We would have liked a wider choice at breakfast - toast, eggs, crispy bacon, for example.
Nice friedly staff , good location very clean room
Friendly staff, cleanliness, value for money. I was on my own taking time out to write so the quietness was good and I felt safe. All my requirements were met
hotel staff were very helpful and polite. The rooms were excellent. The location was brilliant only a short stroll to the lake.
Wonderful food, friendly and helpful staff. The room was lovely - clean and well maintained. The view of the building site :) but then, I wasn't there for a holiday, and the workers weren't overly noisy, or early starting/late finishing. The only other suggestion I'd make is to have tea/coffee facilities in the room.
The staff were friendly and helpful, The pool was clean and so in general was the hotel. Mainly frequented by couples, though a few family rooms in the garden annex The rooms are a bit dated and the mattresses need to be changed as they were very saggy.
The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the pool was lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Rather noisy outside with the busy road but quiet in the room with the excellent double glazing.
There was nothing special about this hotel that made it memorable. Staff were very friendly is about the best thing I can say about the hotel. Rooms were also quiet. Room was quite small. Wireless internet connection did not work. Pool area was noisy and not very relaxing. Food was expensive. If underground car park was full then there was very limited parking around hotel.
Front and back green and well designed gardens. Pool. Spaciousness of hotel. Attention to detail in bedroom and bathroom. Proximity of town center and bus stop if needed.
Staff were very friendly and helpful I didn,t realise that the family rooms had bunk beds in them.
Lovely pool and solarium. Very friendly and helpful staff Bathrooms need updated. Our sink was cracked.
The hotel has beautiful garden which from was own entrance to our familyroom. The room was big enough for 4 persons. The pool and the pool area with beach chairs were lovely. Take into consideration, that the pool is so deep, that children without ability to swim can not swim without help of parent. Breakfast was ok. The location of hotel was brilliant. The parking area was good. Recommend. Our refrigerator (liquor cabinet) was off, when we arrived - evidently by accident. It taked over a day that we could storage cool drinks and snacks for children. Also in the bathroom some of the "beauty care" boxes were empty when we arrived.
High standard furnishings and very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.Nicely situated, pleasant grounds.
Good value for money, quaint setting in a reasonable location. Facilities are pretty basic and rooms can get quite hot on a warm day (no air-conditioning)
The breakfast was good. The room was very crowded. It had two queen size beds and 2 chairs, which we removed to the patio. and a box in the bathroom that you had to step over to use the toilet, so we put it on one of the beds.
Half hour walk to historic town where there is limited parking at busy times makes the free parking at the hotel a plus.
The location is excelent and the villa's owner is very kind. mosquitos
Comfort of the bed. The breakfast was a delight to have in the surrounds of the garden
Nice people, good location, fair air-conditioning, great price Awoke one morning with ants under shoes and a bag on the floor ... no food present in room.
Good location, nice small garden, when we can seat at the evening with the boutle of wine ! Not all sanitary equipment worked properly.
Very Nice Hotel, good value for money in a town which is one of the more expensive on the Lake. For a two-star hotel this puts some of the others to shame!
friendly staff no cards accepted at payment
Nice family run hotel. Breakfasts were great and we throughly enjoyed them. A good location between Columbine and Sirmione and close to the beach. We were surprised to find that they did not accept credit card and had to find the cash to pay for the room. We shared a balcony with the next door room although this was only a problem when they decied to go outside to smoke, we do not smoke. Although we stayed 5 nights our towels were not changed and there was no way to hang them to dry them properly.
The app. was very luxury and beautifull furniture. Everything was there. The location is a little bit strange, becease it is in a normal street and not at the lake site.
The resort is beautyful.
The penthouse suite was perfect for a stay for a family with a baby. The room was very clean and the owner was extremely serviceminded. No washing maschine and the hotel was not in Desezano town center, but if you have a car it takes only a few minutes to drive to Desenzano.
Apartment was modern, clean and extremely comfortable. Owner, Laura was very helpfull and ensured that we had a great stay. No
It's a small, new, clean, very well furnished hotel in a very good location. We enjoy a jacuzzi shower and fully equipped kitchen.10min drive is a good supermarket in the shopping senter in Lunato.Another one 10min wark from the hotel -Penny supermarket. the shower was a little bit noisy in an self-cleaning procedure after taking shower-don't take a shower right befor going to sleep
comfortable appartments with sauna, well equipted kitchen. no staff in the evening, noisy in the morning - building in front of the appartments.
very ´modern bathroom and living room, very well equipped, very quiet, nice terrass with table and chairs, big modern TV Second bed room was quite small and only suitable for children
The apartman provides extra comfort. We could not find any negative point. We highly recommend for any family to stay in this apartmanhouse. The check in time is limited, you need to keep your arrival accordingly, otherwise, you will be not able to enter the apartment, since no 24h reception provided.
Excellent small hotel. Superb service. The hot water wasn't particularly hot!!
atmosphere of hotel interior and environment; excellent breakfast.
very nicely suited near the Duomo, everything totally renovated, good breakfast. no.
The room was nice and cosy and quite spacious for a single room.
Great location. Nice trattorias and shopping near by. This is the only hotel in the heart of the old city. The staff was helpful and friendly. They seemed to truly want us to enjoy our stay. If you don't like the hustle and bustle of Italian piazzas, ask for a room in the back. Rooms are well appointed with nice furniture and amenitites. a high quality 3 star Albergo. No
The location was great, right in the old town. Lots of nice restaurants and shopping. The two women working at the reception were really lovely people and very helpful. The breakfast was really good with a nice inner-courtyard to sit outside. I would like to come back here again.
it was a wonderful hotel in the heart of the historic district of brescia, italy. the woman at the front desk was very helpful and recommended a great restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Great breakfast!!! the hotel was hard to find, but then noone in our party spoke italian......and it was worth getting lost for......
Great location, staff very pleasant, room surprisingly good (spacious, clean), great breakfast Requested a room with street view and request not granted, even though rest of the hotel was empty
The staff were delightful and helpful, and the location was convenient for visiting the lakes and many interesting towns by train. Our room was comfortable and charming, and the staff gave us many helpful suggestions for restaurants and places to see. Breakfast was typical Italian style with a good selection - cold meats, cheeses, fruit and cereal, croissants and pastries.
Excellent location! Room a bit small. Bath room had no tub.
renovated and clean insufficient staff, poor brekfast
Enjoyed the 2 night stay, good service, value for money and helpful staff
Big room, nice breakfast, nice staff, close to the autostrade, price is low comparing to other hotels in Brescia and around, good location if you just stop by on your way to other places. It is very hard to find the hotel you don't have a map of Brescia or a GPS as there are no signs on the way and it's not clear where the street starts and end, location is not good if you plan to tour Brescia, there is a heavy traffic in front of the hotel if you get a room in the front of the hotel - it will be very hard for you to still be sleeping in the early morning (I only assume that because we got a room in back but when we got out in the morning we saw the heay traffic).
Very nice hotel staff, very clean and decent accommodation, good rate. No.
Very nice rooms, great breakfast, great staff, maybe a little poor in English. no
This beautiful family hotel is in the old centre of Sirmione, with the free parking directly near by the hotel. The owners and staff are so pleasant, smilling, homy and friendly! So nice people! Gorgeous rooms have a lake view. Breakfasts are in the ground floor in a veranda and in a patio directly by the lake. Breakfast was excellent! Very big choice of food and drinks, fresh home-made cakes, everything was delicious! I really felt like at home. When we was leaving, they gave us their home-made cake, like a present. I really love this hotel and I can heartily recommend it! Thanks for all!
The management and staff were wonderful. From suggestions about Lake Garda to thoughts on nearby restaurants. Simione is a lovely place to visit and this hotel was equally as lovely. It was the best breakfast of my 2 week stay in Italy. They go above and beyond for their guests.
nice quiet atmosphere no problems
Hotel Marconi is set in a central location in the old town of Sirmione. It faces west onto Lake Garda with it's own smaill private desk. The room was clean and well presented, although not overly large. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of choices, including an impresive selection of home made cakes and pastries. But the best part of the hotel is the staff. We had problems getting to the hotel, having got off at the wrong train stop and we left our booking and flight paperwork on the train. The receptionost was fantastic and very accomodating, helping us to straighten everything out. We really enjoyed our stay due to the staff and the good location.
Please write at least 15 words it is in an area I needed to be in. I think the hotel is expensive for the facilities it offerd No umbrella avialable . No english channel on bedroom tv. No business centre or access to a computer
Very practical and comfortable hotel located near the big city hospital in an uninteresting suburb. Presently there are VERY big roadworks due to the construction of the subway, but without any trouble in the hotel itself. Awful breakfast, with totally inedible scrambled eggs, without mentioning the low quality of ham and cheese.
the view and the room was clean wi-fi at the room was poor and no appropriate electricity point for the laptop
nice large confortable room and bathroom.missing few conforts like bathrobe and slippers.good restaurant and staff no newspapers. despite the description is absolutely not close to the railway station, to reach it ir requires indeed a ride of 25 mins by bus
Professionalism, dedication and real sense of hospitality.
Breakfast was very good, room was really spacious, bathroom was also spacious and very elegant, the hotel itsself was really elegant
the hotel is very clean, room is big and the breakfast was excellent. so far nothing cause we stayed only one night.
The room was very spacious, comfortable enough and had a good sized bath which was great. Breakfast was fine
Within easy walking distance of the station. Had a single room and so was cheaper than other hotels in the area which charged the double price only. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Everything was spotlessly clean. The room was dark with only a tiny window near the ceiling. The tv didn't work.
The hotel staff were so friendly and extremely helpful it was abit noisy
run down, poorly decorated
I did not stay in this hotel as the onner, Alicia, had some particular problems and she had indicated to stay in the Hotel Plaza. I answered the quetions above as hotel plaza
nearly nothing the air condition did not work, it was only a ventilator. Bathroom was very poor, only a too short curtain to protect against water running into the complete bathroom.
Close to rail station Room was dark and missed such basic things as toilet paper and shower gel. Front desk staff was unprofessional (gave me completely wrong schedule for trains, did not know how to operate credit card terminal). At the check-out I had to wait for about an 40 minutes as front desk girl unsuccessfully tried my different cards from major Swiss, American and European banks - I finally took terminal and charged my card myself. She was not sorry for such delay and I had to run to the station to catch last suitable train to Milan for my international flight.
Friendly hepful staff. Useful for station Rooms in need of decoration. TV hard to operate
Nice city - Desenzano Bad coffe and tea in the morning. No eggs or fruit at the buffet. We had two single rooms, one of them very dark, and we made the reservation in january.
Location is very good. Staff helpful and friendly. Shower's been a bit weird. And I haven't understood how to turn on othe lights except the lights in bathroom and the small lamp near the bed. Not that I needed more lights, though...
The hotel was only 200 yards from the Railway station and about 400 yards from the waterfront. Ideal for my needs. Although clean and relatively comfortable, the room I had was on the 1st floor and was noisy. Closing the window on the first night kept out a lot of external noise from restaurants and traffic but on the second night it was too hot to close the window so I had to contend with outside noises as well as other patrons passing my door to other levels of the hotel. The noise.
The very relaxing atmostphere. The lovely welcoming fire & the staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. especially Lucca No
Very good location. Nice view on the lake. Cleanliness. The swimming pool is not heated.
Efficient and very clean. Staff helpful and not overbearing. Right on edge of lake Garda. Not a dislike, but be aware that some rooms are "normal" hotel rooms (no self catering facilities). Evening meal is a bit limited if you're not keen on fish.
Great location on the banks of the lake and lovely pool. Only 1 change of linen.
Location - right on lake - close to train station (by car) for trips to Milan, Venice
The location was excellant. Arrivinging at 12.10 am on the 24.7.08 hotel in darkness, night porter offered us stale bread and wark beer,no room service.
Very friendly and very helpful staff, especially Aligi, Patrizia, Liza and Roberto all spoke excellent english and helped us with finding resturants and places of interest to visit. Nice clean pool overlooking the lake. Nothing
really a best hotel in good place and lake view!!! staff better too.
Close to lake and other attractions
Staff very helpful. Beautiful lakeside location. Great Rooms. You require a taxi to get to nearest town.
The location is fantastic and the owners are amazingly friendly.
Small decent hotel in the middle of the historical centre. A bit complicated access by car. Wide choice of restastaurants nearby.
Central location, friendly family atmosphere with very helpful and nice owners, very close to the beach/lake. A bit tortuous to get to the hotel since had to drive through small paved roads full of pedestrians. However, this was well worth it to have such a central location in the middle of the town and just a few yards away from the lake. Also, owners let us park directly outside the hotel, free of charge!
Staff very friendly. Breakfast OK. Air conditioning. The traffic in town is restricted but free parking in the hotel (if you can reach it without knocking somebody down!).
Friendlyness and clean
The old city is just an excellent spot on planet earth.
The owners and the staff extremely polite and hospitable. The room met our expectations since we travelled with two small children (we stayed in a family room).
nice staff especially a croatia native lady.location convenient for both car/bus travellers.own parking some outside noise my happen on weekends(leaving people loosening emotions in bars)
Beautiful area. The hotel is exactly in the middle of the old town.Really enjoyed it.I will surely go there again.
Loved this hotel. The hotel was in an excellent location. The owners were very friendly and helpful with any enquiries, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was clean and well looked after, would definitely return. The only down side to this hotel was that the bed was extremely hard. This slight negative would not put me off returning to this hotel
The location. Fairly quiet. Lovely, comfortable room. Very clean. Good breakfast. Lovely swimming pool. Evening meal in restaurant was poor - quality of food and service.
Service was very good. Location was excellent ... within a few hundred meters of a port and a beach. Swimming pool also very nice. Breakfast was more than adequate. No real complaints. If you want good value and an excellent Lago di Garda location, this is it. Hotel is very difficult to find, but that is certainly not their fault.
Brand new and in great position near beach, restaurants and bars. Excellent breakfast. Air conditioned room. They were extending it so lots of building work. Pool was closed as a result.
Willingness and friendliness of staff. We weren't aware buildings works were taking place during our stay
friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff
Rooms were nice. Good view to lake, balcony. Car parking in front of the hotel. Poor food at breakfast. No restaurant at the evening. In any case I went to Sushi 10km avay in the near village it was terrific.
The room view (face to Garda lake) is perfect. Bathroom is good as well.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room, the location (very close to the lake), the view from the room.
Fair hotel and staff, excellent value for money, good location
Great location with wonderful lake view, very friendy staff, very clean room, cleaned twice a day, great coffee for breakfast. Very quite. great swimming pool. The room was not spacious enough for 4 ppl, there was no fridge in the room, but brought on request. Breakfast was ok: cold buffet ok for short stay but not for 8 days, missing hot dishes and vegatables.
Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Very accomodating to special wishes. Good service. Excellent and relaxing outdoor area for sitting, swimming, cocktails, etc. The staff was great with our children and our lingustic deficiencies. The air conditioning was not functioning and the rooms were simply too hot (this was remedied during our stay). The breakfast (included) was a bit sparse.
The views are amazing. Pool lovely though cold. Once there good location to explore Sirmione. Good selection of eating places. Very friendly English speaking receptionist. Very quiet, no lack of space by pool etc. The drive through the castle and narrow streets is a bit daunting and would be anoying if you wanted to drive out regularly. Pillows very hard but were changed on request. No one eats in the hotel lunch or evening which is a shame as reduces the atmosphere. Very quiet.
The staff The breakfast was very poor there was no eggs ...
Beautiful hotel gardens and pool with fantastic views over the lake.
It is the furthest hotel out on the peninsula, so you have a nice view of the lake and olive grooves from the balcony without too many buildings in the way. There was a fan noice at daytime, thankfully not at night, possibly from a restaurant, that was irritating and sounded like being in a boat. To get to hotels in sirmione by car you need to navigate through the narrow old town treets filled with pedestrians. Cars are not allowed to drive 21 - 23. In hindsight would recomend people to take a nice B&B in some litle village, and just visit Sirmione for an hour or so.
The staff were freindly and helpful.the hotel was very clean and had all the basic hotel facilities. The swimming pool and poolside area were lovely to relax by. The hotel is located beside a stunning viewing point. The breakfast had a poor selection and there were many many wasps in the fruit salad.
Room was ok. The attitude of the staff was extremely unfriendly and at times very rude. So much so that we cut short our stay from 7 nights to 2! The elderly lady who appeared to be in charge seemed to be looking for an excuse to criticise and remostrate with the guests. Breakfast was poor accompanied by poor service. Terrible, absolutely terrible. Aircon in room did not work properly. There was a power cut one night, when this was reported to staff they intimated it was our fault ? they then pointed out that there was a power cut to every room in the hotel - this was not right - all other rooms had their lights on ?
The location was very nice to watch the sunset over lake Garda. This hotel is not a 4* hotel as advertised on bookings.com and also claimed by the hotel. The hotels staff were very rude on arrival and there was certainly no 'service with a smile' as you would expect from a 4* hotel. The decor of the hotel was also very dated.
we had a very big room, 40m. the hotel has a pool, the stuff is very helpful, speaks english. breakfast was good.
Spacious apartments, great for families, easy car access, good location, nice swimmingpool, childfriendly. Pity the developers gone cheap on finishings, all furnishings feel rickety. Noisy location by road. If you want to use tiny kitchen (where microwave and fridge are) you have to pay Euro 25 extra...
Clean and spacious rooms, stylish The swimming pool not suitable for small children under 10 years, the surface is such that one easily gets wounds; the breakfast was limited in variety and some items were finished.
helpfull staff. Situated next to a very busy road, which meant the pool and sun lounger area was not very relaxing. Hotel was new, and so very nearly there but little things effected our stay, there was no hotel information (time of breakfast, room sevices etc), bottom level of car park had no signs and entering the hotel from this level was still unfinshed. There as an additonal charge for use of the kitchen in the appartment which meant the fridge was switched off and no mini bar to keep drinks cool
Fantastic apartment for a family of six. Air conditioning. Very clean and well maintained facilities. Near to a supermarket for drinks etc.We would come back again. Being charged to use the kitchen within the apartment (you should include it in the price). The children had many cuts on their feet and knees as the surface material of the pool was so rough. We used a box of plasters.
Luxurious hotel: large apartment, balcony, swimming pool, quiet rooms. Friendly hotel staff. Transport problems to the Desenzano city railway station. You could have exact timetable of local buses. It was not even written at bus stop. There was no free transfer as promised on your internet website. Misunderstanding with local car rent: if client has to fill some documents before car reservation at your receptionist it should be said. We understood that first oral reservation a day before would be enough and next morning when a car arrive we should sign the contract. So we missed our expected rental car.
Fantastic room - spacious and well-appointed, and two bedrooms were perfect for our family. Really helpful, friendly receptionist. Great breakfast, family facilities and pool. The pool was quite cold
We stayed here for a week from 11 th August 2010. It was lovely. Every member of staff were very pleasant and obliging even with young children. The room was spacious and clean with maid service every day.As we booked a family room, the second bed was a sofa bed and I have to say, it was very uncomfortable and noisy. The breakfast was very good with a variety of hot and cold choices. Our kids loved the pool which was spotless and safe. Location is about 15 mins drive from the pretty town of Sirmione. I would definately recommend a car to appreciate the area, especially as the weather can be changeable. We toured the whole lake which is definately worth doing. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again
Very friendly & helpful staff, very clean, large well appointed, very comfortable rooms & a nice pool.
Modern comfortable hotel with large rooms. Excellent, friendly, helpful staff, good pool plenty of room. Good location, short drive to Sirmione or Densenzano, however you cannot see the lake because there is a road and trees in front of the hotel. Good value.
