10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts, Davinia & Raul, were absolutely charming. The ecological breakfasts were fantastic and the one meal we ate there was delicious. Every attention to detail. Loved our stay!
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very traditional with modern touches!
Cons: Nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was really nice. In a peaceful village with the mountains as a great view. The reception was nice, lots of info and helpful staff. The rooms were really clean, very rare to get a room this clean in a hotel
Cons: The fact that everything was stated as organic. We totally understand the pride the hosts take in this matter, but the constant repetition made it sound as indoctrination. The breakfast was small and catered per person. The staff was really helpful if something was not there, but asking for it made the situation awkward. Due to this, we acknowledge that this establishment is not for every traveller. However, if organic, eco and such are your ideals, then you will enjoy this place a lot
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location to visit lots of interesting towns and villages. Lovely countryside with walks from the village. Bars, tapas and restaurants available in the village. A great choice. Spotlessly clean, beautiful room and wonderful old building with lots of characterful pieces. The hosts are perfect and not intrusive.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts were delicious. Organic fruits, fresh squeezed juices, something different every morning, and fresh yogurt followed by toast and other local foods. Very nice.
Cons: Can't think of anything
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was a good size, and comfortable. Comfortable bed. Bathroom good size, very clean, plentiful hot water in the shower. Adequate counter space for your toiletries. Husband and wife hosts very welcoming, helpful, ready with information and advice about any aspect of the region. Pleasant outdoor terrace in good weather for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was adequate, though not lavish (not a buffet style). Plenty of free, onsite parking. Husband is a good cook; a reasonably priced and tasty prix fixe dinner is available. (There are also some good restaurants in this small town, though.) Good sized swimming pool, said to be open year round. (Was too cool for me in first week of Oct. though.) The setting is tranquil and relaxing, but also deep, deep in the countryside.
Cons: The combo shower/tub is a bit slippery. There should be a grab bar (barra de apoyo), for the safety of the guests. No English language news channels on the TV. The prix fixe dinner is whatever the host/chef is cooking that day; no choice of main dish. For that reason, I would probably have one dinner there, and any additional nights walk out into the town, which offers some good choices.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were magnificent. Local information and maps. Wonderful breakfasts , artfully prepared, with local produce. Great mattress. Great views. Close to Granada and Córdoba.
Cons: Nothing at all.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderfull stay in this little hotel. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and our rooms was spacious and super clean. The owners (couple) are very kind and always willing to help you. Especially the included breakfast is outstanding, they only use fresh and local products. While several nice restaurants are at a walking distance (the croquets at la Taberna de Baco are the best), we recommend everyone to try the dinner at la Era too. The owners are really good cooks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived here after hectic stays in Seville and Cordoba - we loved everything about our stay - the location, hosts, food, room, pool, and most importantly, peace and quiet! During our stay, we not only ate dinner onsite (which was delicious), we also spent the day unwinding by the pool, looking at the beautiful views in the sunshine. It was wonderful. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts a delight - and to hear where the ingredients were sourced from was fab - it shows how much Davinia and Raoul care. Loved it - and am already hoping to be able to go back again.
Cons: Could have stayed longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The young hosts are very nice and helpfull. Their eco breakfast was excellent.

Pros: Mark was an exceptionally friendly host. He even made us fresh scrambled eggs on toast or breakfast. If you book for an evening meal in advance it’s well worth it. Gambas pil pil was exceptional for starters, followed by wonderful salad, , chicken curry and ice cream for dessert. Pool was very adequate for a cooling dip on a hot afternoon. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, welcoming arrival by Ivan (the owner). Gave us an excellent introduction to Priego including where to go/eat/what to see etc. Ivan was in the shared kitchen in the morning offering us coffee/breakfast etc and really nice patio area to eat it in. Also had a nice roof top terrace to relax in the sun and take in the amazing views from the property. Ivan also had a space for a car to park in his garage underneath the property. Comfy beds with TV, fridge and kettle. Lovely powerful warm shower too.
Cons: While the property has excellent views being situate in the edge of a cliff looking down onto the 'new town' area, some traffic noise from the new town can inevitably be heard when you open the room windows, a lot quieter at night though and still quiet in the rest of the property with the patio areas etc. In any case, you can close the bedroom windows even in summer as the rooms have an excellent air conditioning unit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome by the owner who designed the place on his own since he is an architect, great location with spectacular view, very clean, private terrace, shared terrace, kitchen in the room and large common kitchen, common living room and patio, received good recommendations by the owner about sights and restaurants, free on site parking
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views are incredible! As an architect, I appreciated the renovation of this typical spanish villa... and the owner is very attentive to his guests and helps you make the best “barbacoa” on the rooftop! Don’t miss to visit the attic! Just amazing!!!
Cons: The underground parking is small, but still a good parking solution, regarding to the historical town...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was comfortable and relaxing from the moment we arrived. Every detail for travellers was carefully accommodated
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Parking in front of the place, good breakfast and great and relaxing spa. This time we were at the second floor and we had great views from the good sizeded balcony. This apartment was amazing.
Cons: Inside the spa there was no clock (on the counter right outside the spa there was).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is very nice, next to the square with restaurants. The room is absolutely fantastic - very big and looks beautiful. Everything there, towels, soap, bathrobe. And the hammam - we really enjoyed it! There are 3 baths (cold, warm, hot) and a Turkish bath.
Cons: The breakfast was soso; not bad but no luxury as well. Coffee from a machine, not a lot of choice. We had to wait till the evening for the Hammam, which wasn't a problem at all but we didn't know that beforehand.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Massage great.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This centrally situated boutique hotel is ideal for the sight and tastes of Priego. Situated right in the heart of the old town it is quite difficult to locate, impossible to drive to the door, and has no parking adjacent. Consequently quiet and peaceful! The Arab baths are brilliant, and free, with great massage rooms which are very reasonably priced. There is a nice sun terrace with a plunge pool. Breakfasts are good and plentiful. Just round the corner is the amazing balcony overlooking the valley
Cons: The beds were quite small and very hard for our old bones!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was brilliant, just a few mins walk from the centre of town, the edge of town and the castle. Great view of castle from rooftop terrace. Staff super friendly and very helpful. Range of food available for breakfast and coffee machine available at other times.
Cons: Bed in Legado ok but after fourteen nights was ready to leave it. Maybe update mattress or maybe just a topper would help.

4.5 Okay
Pros: The decoration.
Cons: No real bathroom, instead glass cubicles ; one for the shower and another one for the WC next to the bed. Very small rooms and some are directly on the street so forget about sleeping with open windows. The hotel is all about decoration. No free parking. No buffet for breakfast like shown in the pictures.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly people, beautifully decorated place!
Cons: Bathroom lacked privacy most pleasant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is not just a beautiful hotel with high standards, it is also a delightful experience in an antique private residence . It is like a mini antique Paradores, but furnished with love and care: every single detail is thoughtful and meaningful. I could not praise it enough- Our room was charming and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, the staff is impeccable.
Cons: I would love to go back here, but I would not like to go back to Priego della Cordoba which is probably the only town I disliked in Andalusia. I will just reconsider for a one night stay, without leaving the hotel! And without doubt, next time I will have my dinner inside! I have heard from other guests that is fantastic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this hotel is the best we have stayed at in Spain, we have been to many places that have been adequate, friendly, clean etc but this hotel is much more than that.We are looking forward to our return there in August and have booked an extra night. The staff were well trained and so happy to serve us. Breakfast was well above expectation.Would not consider staying anywhere else and will be returning again and again.

Pros: Great location, good parking, in the old part of the city - we found free public parking, very homey, nicely decorated, very charming host and very helpful.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is well located in one of the most atmospheric streets of the lovely old town. Rooms are divided between the main house and the annex across the road. Facilities are basic but perfectly adequate and comfortable and the prices are very reasonable. The owner is very welcoming and helpful. The street is too narrow for vehicles so come prepared with a printed map or mobile phone to negotiate your or your taxi’s access. There are street or patio facing rooms but I don’t think it matters where you stay given that no vehicular access and absence of much people traffic.

Pros: Bumped into Casa la Nuez more or less accidently (bicycle trip) and decided to spend an additional day there. Well, I did not move a lot next to the swimming pool. Pros: Amazing place in a beautiful location with the most wonderful hosts. Ingrid and Ludo were so lovely and really made us feel at home, we opted to have dinner at the property and are so glad we did, we had the best meal here during our entire trip to Spain and at 20euro pp for 3 courses it was a real bargain. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this lovely little oasis to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay with wonderful hosts and great food.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place in stunning surroundings. Great hosts who took care of us in a heartwarming manner. Excellent food. Private swimming pool to cool off in after warm days visiting cities and hiking in the mountains. All in all a place to come home to during our exploring Andalusia.

We particularly enjoyed the 2 evening meals we had with them, the quality and flavour of the food was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend staying here especially when you can take advantage of the pool and the terrace in the afternoon and evening sun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is very Authentically Spanish and comfortable and cosy. You feel at home very quickly. The pool is lovely and I highly recommend the food which is very tasty and cooked from scratch. The best bit for me though was getting to know Ludo and Ingrid the owners. You could not wish to meet a nicer more helpful couple and they made my stay special. Their kindness and hospitality is second to none. If you want to see the real spain then this is the place for you. I highly recommend Casa la Nuez

Pros: A very peaceful location in a lovely part of old Priego, within easy walking distance of the 'villa' and the town's most interesting monuments. Comfortable bed and nice view out across a little square to surrounding hills. Would happily return.
Cons: Tricky access by car - the hotel's car park is in a narrow street, a way from the hotel - and breakfast was really not good. The bread was stale and the orange juice carton variety. Wifi didn't work well in bedroom and was slow in dining room.

Pros: Lovely location well of the usual tourist trail
Cons: Very hard to find, friendly locals helped though
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome at front desk then the treat of a first viewing of the old building. Comfy functional room, good view. Plentiful buffet continental breakfast. Fascinating town to enjoy.

Granada and Jaén can be reached in just over an hour by car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff treated us like family
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very pleasant hotel in the centre of town. My satnav took me round in circles because of the pedestrianisation so best take a print extract from a Google street map with you. Immediate street parking is difficult and if you do park nearby be aware that you’ll have to move your car before 9.30 am. I eventually found free street parking in a square not far away but I would recommend you book the hotel’s parking if it’s available as spaces are not easy to come by. The reception and small courtyard were colonially quaint and the staff friendly and very helpful. The room was "old fashioned Spanish" and very comfortable with all modern facilities and, despite overlooking the narrow street, very quite. I was there on Sunday night and could only find one restaurant open nearby so I had a meal at a table in the hotel bar along with a number of locals and enjoyed it very much. I’m never very keen to stay in town centre hotels (parking difficulties, traffic congestion & noise, usually more expensive etc.) but this was a great little family run hotel at a reasonable price in a very convenient spot to be able to stroll around this historical town.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Helpful staff! Amazingly spectacular town! Would highly recommend location of this hotel!
Cons: Room over street too noisy! Bed uncomfortable!
10.0 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast normal spanish. Proprietor very nice and friendly, distressed to find I'd paid for a double room when travelling solo (he would have charged me less except that I'd paid in advance) so threw in breakfast and offer of free parking! restaurant and bar food good. A happy-seeming place where they want you to have a good stay.
Cons: The streets are frighteningly narrow around there. Having got a car stick a couple of years back, less than 100metres from the hosteria, I declined the offer to bring the car back in there. Basically, you need to dump the car outside the centre and carry your luggage. I'm happy to do just that, but can imagine it is an off-put for many.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cozy and friendly
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosteria is centrally located in this historic town near the castle in a maze of small lanes and alleys. It has a cosy bar where breakfast was served. I had an authentic oxtail stew for dinner although I was dissuaded from having a first course as I was told the portions were too big. A problem I have found in a couple of places in Andalusia.
Cons: The small room was at the end of a long corridor leading to the only stairway. In the event of a fire I could be in trouble.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Traditional Spanish setting
Cons: Depressing corridors

7.5 Good

Cons: Not much.
7.0 Good
Pros: We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, given the mixed reviews. The room was large and comfortable as were the beds. There was plenty of free parking. The guy at reception was very friendly. It's out of town but only a few minutes drive and no-one is likely to stay there if they don't have a car.
Cons: It's definitely overpriced. It's also very hard to spot even though it's just off the main road because it has no signage other than what's on the building itself. We drove past it twice without seeing it and only found it because we went into Priego and asked at the tourist office, where they showed us a picture of the sign on the Hotel roof, which you can just about see over the trees from the main road. Once again, the room had no balcony even though the Booking.com entry specifically lists one in the room facilities. It did have a very nice, large window and the room was light and airy but either Booking.com or the hotel is wrong about the specifics of the room.
