Pros: Hot water Good wifi
Cons: We had to wait more than 20 minutes for somebody to come and open the door This is a very simple hostal, comfort level to be honest worse than albergue municipal Ancient tv Small room with old furniture, neither pretty nor comfortable
Pros: The landlady Wa super nice and helpful
Pros: Clean, fluffy towels.
Cons: The accommodation is above a noisy bar.
Pros: Perfectly clean rooms, lady at the reception very friendly and helpful. Quiet neighborhood not far from the center.
Cons: Avoid breakfast in the bar next door and try elsewhere instead because this must be the worse we've ever had: deep-frozen bread with margarine to be dug directly from the pot, open milk bottles left outside the fridge and filthy premises.. Also bear in mind that Cordova is quite far, at least a 30-minute drive.
Pros: I was travelling by bike north to south Spain and did lot want to pay a lot but wanted good accommodation. This was the best value during the whole trip.
Cons: Very clean and functional
Pros: Clean, comfortable and functional room. Very friendly and helpful staff - need to get your Spanish to rapido!
Cons: All fine.

Pros: Gorgeous facilities! Amazing views! Great for the price!
Cons: No kettle in the room. Could feel the springs in the bed. No bar open to get a drink.
Pros: Amazing rural hideaway surrounded by olive trees.
Cons: We had a room with a chimney. Without using it, we could hardly sleep at night due to the smoke inside and had to wash anything we had with us afterwards in order to get rid of the smell.

Pros: we had a 5-bedded room, very large and comfortable, with 2 bathrooms. Very clean
Pros: Central location, parking on site.
Pros: Fabulous to meet the family running the hostal, and to have a taste of the wine made there - a really lovely “extra” that we weren’t expecting

Pros: Everything good. Clean, friendly, location for Camino, good value
Pros: Location good
Pros: Good enough while walking the Camino Mozarabe. The food was fine, the evening waiter was nicer than the manager.
Cons: The room did not really look like it was cleaned, half drunken bottle of water and candy wrapper by the bed. One of the toweled was wet...!
Pros: Clean, comfortable, good food. Not too far from Córdoba by car.
Cons: Book here for sure - but don't get a room over the bar (or bring ear plugs).
Pros: The room was clean , very bright and had excellent hot water ( in temperature and amount of water).
Cons: Tv to small and to high up , making the image not always show . Pillow a bit to hard. Worst of all is that you hear everything from other people and if these people are not considerate and come at 5.00 a.m making noise , it is like as if they were in your room even though they were in the next one.
Pros: As we booked twin beds, and received a double room upon arrival., they gave us the family room on the top floor. Very nice spacious room, with beautiful terrace and view on the surroundings. Delicious food: fresh orange juice, iberico/serrano ham, the salmorejo was the best we had during the whole trip.
Cons: Comfort of the beds

Cons: Cannot think of anything
Pros: The location was is a very beautiful part of Spain, and the staff were very helpful and friendly, considering we don't speak Spanish
Cons: The weather could have been better on a couple of days but overall was good for time of year. At the weekend, the hotel heating facilities were stretched and it was difficult to get adequate warmth in bedroom, and hot water.
Pros: Nice spot right in the center of the town and close to the caste. Staff very friendly with english speakers. Good breakfast and very good restaurant
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, good restaurant, great walking from hotel
Pros: Very well located and excellent cuisine
Pros: Lovely stay for 4 nights as great base for walking. Great it had choice of more formal restaurant and bar where you could get tapas and pizzas. All the food was excellent. Loved the caramelized goat cheese salad ( goats cheese made in the village). Very traditional old hotel and furniture so didn't get top marks for comfort but still fine and loved the hotel and the location. Too early in year to get use of the small pool.
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: Beautiful location with gorgeous views from the room; walking guides available from reception for €2.50 covering a range of distances / altitudes. The 4 hour hike we did was quite simply stunning, straight out of the village. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and lunch in the cafeteria area was equally good. Lovely with a log fire. Breakfast excellent and staff couldn't have been more helpful, even getting bikes ready for us whilst we took our luggage back to the car.
Pros: Charming, very clean hotel, professional and very kind personnel. Excellent food. Everything above the expectation, I sugget it a lot.
Pros: Room spotless and great quality of bed linnen and matrasses

Pros: The bedroom was basic but fine. Evening meal and breakfast perfectly acceptable.
Cons: Disappointed with the pool. We were looking forward to a swim. No towels provided. Told to use the ones in our room and they would replace them. However when we got to the pool there were no loungers to lay on to dry off so we gave it a miss. Most people seemed to go down to the pool quite late and then straight back to their rooms. If you provide a pool, as shown in the photos, then you should provide some basic loungers and also towels. Shame as the pool was gorgeous and was the main reason we booked the hotel.

Cons: Payment Hotel: Alberque Ruta Del Califato ----- Hi. We had booked 5 nights but left after just 1. We have paid for 2 nights just to leave. The police led us to the hotel and said we weren't safe. Hotel locked. We got in eventually and no towels. Hotel door could not be opened from outside so after a walk in morning we returned at 7.30am and couldn't get in. Breakfast consisted of 1 cup of black tea or coffee and 1 piece of toast. Later at 10am we were locked out again on the balcony. Awful experience. Please do not charge any more to my credit card as already not happy paying for 2 nights.
Cons: Heating not really good....warm water was just warm enough...only 1 power plug for the entire room
Pros: The hotel was decent. Although the hotel owners were trying to be helpful, the communication for us was a bit difficult, since they spoke only Spanish. The room was clean and we liked the location.
Cons: In the room we could hear everything that happens in the common area, so it was really loud in the morning. Also, our room was facing the street side, so we did not had that beautiful view to enjoy.
Cons: Very poor check in experience.
Cons: Hot water is barely warm. Heating system is barely functional. This building is designed for summer.

Pros: The location is quiet and quite close to Cordoba, but with very lower prices compared with the ones of the city centre; the breakfast and the restaurant are good, the rooms clean.
Cons: It isn't true that you can have a breakfast for a flat fee of 4,50 euros if you have already booked a room here: they charge you for the entire cost of the breakfast, exactly as if you were an external visitor. They strongly apply for you to pay cash for the stay.
Pros: A surprise for 2 star Hostal Very clean and modern rooms 1 floor with elevator and very quiet place despite the location near the road. Staff very friendly Very close to Córdoba only 25 minutes and a very good deal to stay and visit Corodba
Pros: A hostal on the way to Granada, very convenient if you travel by car. Large and clean rooms. You can have a breakfast or a dinner in the restaurant. Own free parking.
Pros: Very clean room. It was possible to have dinner any time.
Cons: Cleanliness is coming with a huge price : the strong smell of cleaning products. That stong that the air is not really breathable. Small room where an extra bed could not fit even if it is presented like it is possible. Don't expect from staff to do the smallest effort to understand a little bit of any other language, just Spanish so if you want not to spend too much money on hotel, start studying the language.
Pros: Rafael Sanchez is extremely helpful to Camino pilgrims
Pros: Large room with unusually large bathroom and good cupboard in gap between bedroom and bathroom.
Pros: Best place in this area
Cons: Food could be better
This traditional guest house is located 10 minutes’ drive from the centre of Luque. It offers comfortable, air-conditioned rooms, in some cases with a balcony or patio, an hour's drive from Córdoba. Rooms at Hostal Nicol's feature traditional, functional decor and all include central heating, a TV and a private bathroom. Superior rooms also feature a kitchenette or a balcony. There are various bars and restaurants within a few minutes’ drive of the property and the surrounding area is popular for hiking and cycling, with the Via Verde de la Subbética Route located nearby. The guest house offers free parking nearby and is 60 km from Jaen and 95 km from Granada. You can drive to central Malaga in 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Pros: Big and reasonably comfortable beds. The separate restaurant and cafe was excellent - we ate or had drinks there several times during our bike ride out and back along the Via Verde. Really friendly and helpful staff - eg when I went back to collect a charger plug I’d left there. Convenient location for cycling the Via Verde.
Cons: Very noisy room (even though it was a Superior one) with windows opening straight onto a busy main road - lots of traffic till late and from early morning. The bathroom smelled even with the windows left open - presumably a major drain problem.
Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect, if you think of biking in the area (la via verde del aceite) or visiting nearby charming towns. Our room was surprisingly big and comfortable, with small balcony. Since we were the only guests, it was very quiet. It was also clean. There is a small but nice playground, and a lot of space to run (after you cross the road). The breakfast was very good, with fresh orange juice and "tomate triturado", and the service in the morning was OK.
Cons: There was no soap in the bathroom, only douchgel and shampoo. Since the hostal is just by the main road, it is a bit noisy during the day. The service in the evening was terrible. They made us wait ages (around 1 hour) before they came to us. This situation happened twice.
Pros: It was great that they offered parking for our bikes. They were eager to help us too when we needed assistance with a taxi. The food was great at the station.
Pros: The proximity to the Via Verde, the nearby villages were spectacular and the people that we met were very friendly.
Cons: The restaurant could have been better. The food was poor but cheap, so can't really complain. Just upping their standards, even a little, would pay dividends.
Pros: Right on the via verde.
Cons: The atmosphere. Kind a truckersmotel.

Pros: Charming hosts and rooms clean
Cons: Rooms on the street a bit noisy.
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Too expensive
Pros: Great old school hostal. Clean. Cheap. Friendly people. Don't expect them to speak english, though. You are in rural spain and the couple who run this place are quite old.
Cons: Don't know. Had no expectations.
Pros: Clean good location
When you stay at Agroturismo Ecológico el Cortijillo in Luque, you'll be in a provincial park and 15 minutes by car from Nunez de Prado Aceite de Oliva. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Peaceful location in countryside right next to vía verde de Subbetica - very friendly host . Bar Nichols a short walk away did fantastic tostadas for breakfast and let our dogs in the restaurant near the fire !
Cons: Pillows were like rocks and single beds were rather hard .
Pros: Fantastic location! Perfect location for doing the "Vias Verdes" by bicycle or walking. You can go straight down to the "Vias Verdes" paths from the house and choose 3 directions. Towards Jaen, towards Baena and towards Zuheros, the last one is absolutely the most beautiful path. You do not need to start the car. Also you have the option to eat in the restaurant next by, without picking the car. The owners are very friendly and let us stay longer. We also tried there own organic olive olie which is prima quality. The apartment is comfortable, well equipped, with all you need and a beautiful view from your own big terrace over the olive groves and the mountains. The fireplace kept us warm and the owner gave us wood for the fire, we really appreciated that.
Cons: It was cold when we got there.
Pros: The view was perfect, very friendly owners
Cons: There was not a lot of kitchen equipment.
Pros: The location is phenomenal. The hosts were very friendly. The views were stunning and being right on the Vias Verdes was exactly what I was looking for.
Cons: However everything felt very cheap. Almost nothing in the the kitchen was useful. There was no coffee at all. Not even soap for the shower. Really uncomfortable twin beds. Felt a little awkward.
Pros: Views pool space and the friendly dog which loved to dive in the pool after my flip flop
Cons: That I couldn't stay longer
