Pros: Great, large room, good storage, desk and chair. Clean and well managed facility. Owner very hospitable. Quiet, residential location near the river walk, shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance. Good breakfast.
Cons: Secure parking was available but a bit rustic.
Pros: A very spacious room with beautiful furniture and a well-stocked bathroom. Very gracious, accommodating and friendly staff. Everything was absolutely wonderful. I stayed an additional night because it felt so luxurious.
Pros: Very nice family owned and operated hotel. The owners go out of their way to please their guests. Very clean room with internet and satellite TV. Hotel is in a residential neighborhood with no dogs barking, roosters crowing or car alarms going off all hours of the night. They also have a good breakfast. I highly recommend if you want to stay away from Loja city noise.
Pros: Excellent place; would recommend!!! Very helpful with all our needs.
Pros: The Cardenal Hotel is all about the people who own and run it. A lovely, attentive family service given by a nice family. Good breakfast, quiet surroundings and attentive service. Straight after placing our booking we got a WhatsApp message asking if we'd like a pick up and were greeted on arrival and offered a coffee. Everything was great value for money.
Cons: Not much not to like really. We were looking for something a little outside of the hustle and bustle of the city and it was.
Pros: Truly a beautiful place, set in a clean, safe, well-kept neighborhood. Owned and managed by a really sweet family who will go far out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Very quiet and peaceful, because of the location about two kilometers from the easily accessible city center. Excellent supermarket and selection of restaurants only a five-block walk away along a pretty river trail. Fine breakfast tailored to your taste, always prepared fresh. Room was very spacious, and the bed was simply luxurious. Perfect cable TV, perfect internet, excellent hot shower, and a beautiful decor wherever you look. Highly recommended for a great stay in Loja.
Pros: The location was quiet, not in the centre of town. A tip is to have Google maps downloaded to guide the taxi driver. Lovely ambiance and the friendliest, kindest owners. Very little English spoken but Google translate and a good attitude do marvels. A few steps to the Parque Lineal, which was a great way to walk most of the way into the city centre. Supermarket, restaurants very close.
Cons: The one bed in our suite was a bit soft for my taste, but the other was nice and hard!

Pros: The cleaness was good. The staff service very helpful and the location of the hotel has a good location. I will recommend this hotel excellent comodities and good staff-service.
Pros: Very well located and very nice! Staff are really helpful.
Pros: Nice modern hotel in the heart of an interesting city.
Pros: The room was large, very clean and comfortable. The location was within walking distance of many things. The front desk staff was very helpful.
Cons: The room was too warm and you can’t adjust the temperature. I talked to the front desk and they provided a large fan which helped. This is the only reason I would not stay again. I like it cool to sleep so it was difficult sleeping.
Pros: Very nice hotel, nice modern design, in house parking, excellent beds, big and well equipped bathroom/shower
Cons: The illumination in the room we had, could be better. We had one coffemaker but in a double room only one cup. We got 2 bottles of drinking water, but only one glass. For the class of the hotel we also missed some kleenex. But these are only minor problems. For the hotel class, also the breakfastbuffet was a bit limited e.g no cold milk, only one very sweet yoghurt, the coffe for us not drinkable.
Pros: The installations were very nice
Cons: Staff didn´t like to attend us after 21:30, they were like in a rush.
Pros: The room pictures show bath shoes, but only in pictures.
Cons: If you must to leav the hotel so early, they offer a box freakfast, it is not good.

Cons: the pool is not heated
Pros: Bed was really comfy and room was very quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly. Will go back if the opportunity comes by.
Cons: Breakfast was a little plain but tasty.
Pros: Very nice old world hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast also good and located in central location.
Pros: Beautiful hotel with a friendly staff
Pros: The location is excellent and they serve a great breakfast. Rooms are spacious and have a small refrigerator. There is an elevator for upper floors.
Cons: No AC or heating but maybe not needed. Could be a bit noisy since windows are left open.
Pros: The staff was wonderful and helpful. The location of the hotel is very convenient and walking distance to the city’s center. The hotel is gorgeous and our room was very spacious, clean, and beautiful. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices to choose from. We liked everything about this hotel.
Cons: We liked Everything!
Pros: The entire experience was fantastic. We were fortunate to be at a marvelous concert in the hotel as well. Quiet, clean, great staff. No hassles. Hope to return some day.
Pros: We like the older colonial styled hotels and this had the feeling in the lobby. Staff were helpful and we need to learn Spanish. Good location
Cons: We were looking forward to ridding ourselves of grime only to find the shower/ bath luke warm. No tea/ coffee making facilities in the room.
A stay at Zamorano Real Hotel places you in the heart of Loja, steps from Church of Santo Domingo and 3 minutes by foot from Loja Music Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was excellent.
Cons: WiFi in the bedroom was poor and most of the time off. As travelers this is important. The lighting in the stair ways was not working and very unsafe for going up and down.
Pros: The staff were all friendly and helpful. It was always easy enough to get a taxi and these were very inexpensive.p
Cons: I had to get the staff to remove the shower tap and adjust it to get hot water. The room was cold, and the 'view' was of a brick wall and shabby roof 2 metres away. The hotel has a bland feel.
Pros: The staff above all
Cons: The breakfast was somewhat dull.Fruits and eggs lacked flavour. Some rooms are noisy as a shaft connects to the dining room
Pros: Very comfortable room and bed. Great location. Staff provided a breakfast pack for our early morning departure.
Cons: We had to wait approximately 30mins for hot water each time we wanted to shower and on the day that we had to check out early morning, the staff turned on water in another room 30mins early so that we could shower before we left, which indicates that it is a known issue. It was also very difficult to get any travel information from staff.
Pros: I was allowed to check in earlier than the set time.
Cons: The breakfast
Pros: Clean, good sized room. We stayed in 6 hotels in 2 weeks and this was the only one with a bathtub! Very nice bathroom, good shower. Polite staff.
Cons: Located on a narrow very busy street. Lots of street noise. View directly into a school of some sort across the narrow street. Also, incredible amount of wind noise coming in through the window. It was windy season, but perhaps the windows need some upgrading.
Cons: Breakfast could be better, a portion of cheese and ham never will cost enough than customer’s satisfaction.

Cons: Children screaming in the stairs.
Pros: Service was excellent, really nice family that helped us a lot and made us feel at home. We recommend that place. Very clean as well.
Pros: Water dispenser in the hall was a nice bonus I hate buying water.
Cons: My neighbors were loud banging doors but that's not the fault of the place.
Pros: Very clean, friendly staff, Netflix in the room and very good Internet
Cons: A bid out of town but nothing you can‘t walk.
Pros: Great value hostel, very helpful owners, comfortable rooms with very comfy beds, hot showers. Recommended
Cons: It's quite a walk to find breakfast

Guest rooms at the hotel are equipped with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a shower. The rooms include a desk.
Pros: THE ‘hostel’ is not really a hostel. More a cheap hotel/motel. Pretty expensive compared to THE rest of ecuador, no breakfast. Staff was super Nice and friendly though and helped me out with THE luggage and stay during THE night because of THE ‘paro de transporte’
Cons: No breakfast, door were jamming like crazy, high price compared to what you get.
Pros: Near the historic sites.
Cons: Security in room was not good. No fan, no A/C, could not leave window open since it opened onto the walkway. Needed air movement for sleep, but was not present!
Pros: Basically a hotel, not a hostel! Very comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, super friendly and helpful staff (thanks Christopher!), safe and convenient location near Centro, fast wifi
Cons: Good value double ensuite room for less than $12, but not AMAZING value
Pros: The man at the desk was very kind and helpful!
Pros: Room is perfect. Location is close to everything
Pros: The guy at reception was really helpful with a few questions I had about the local area. Room was nice and not too loud.

With a stay at Hotel Libertador in Loja, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of San Francisco Plaza and Central Plaza. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice breakfast with fresh fruit and omelets. Staff was very helpful- walked with me several blocks to an office I could not find. We chose an inside room hitch did not have windows but two large skylights. Bed was very comfortable.
Pros: Libertado staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Front desk: Diego Bell boy: Angel Waiter: Paul We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
Pros: The breakfast buffet was great! Omelet bar, fresh juices, super tasty! The rooms were big, TV could be changed to English which was a nice break for the brain. Location was perfect, and almost all of the staff were absolutely wonderful. Thank you!
Cons: We had laundry service at the hotel - first, don’t do it, it’s crazy expensive and there are laundromats lining the streets all around the hotel (they just don’t show up on google). When our clothes arrived back, all of my colored clothing had the same stain on it, they ruined multiple items of clothing. When I spoke to the lady at the front desk, she said that I wouldn’t have to pay for the clothes they ruined. I said no I’m not paying for any of it, as one of the items was a $150 sweater. She agreed. A few moments later we got a knock on our door and the laundry service lady came into our room and yelled at us telling us she didn’t do it. Then 2 more staff came in all of them arguing with us in our room, it was so uncomfortable and unprofessional. We asked to speak to a manager and they promptly left. The front desk woman told us the manager was busy and didn’t have time to see us. She sneakily tried to get me to pay for our laundry upon checkout, but I told her I would wait to speak to a manager and I could be asking for a refund for the clothing they ruined but I would rather not the headache. It was a shame because the rest of our stay was wonderful, it was the weekend staff that were definitely not qualified to be there without a manager in charge.
Pros: We decided to splurge for a night on something nicer than a hostel and I'm so glad that we did! The room was so spacious, the bed was larger than most matrimonial-sized beds, and everything was clean. Great location, too. And the staff have been so helpful! To address a couple things I saw in other reviews: some complained about the pool not being open or only for classes, and while there are sometimes swim classes there, it's not always and you can use the pool any other time. If the pool is covered while out of use, just ask reception and they'll open it up for you. Also, I saw someone mention that there was no hot water - in fact, we did have hot water, you just have to wait a while for it to run before it heats up.
Cons: The breakfast was not great. If you're only there a night or two, it's not a big deal, but not what I would want to eat for breakfast every day when there are cheap and good desayuno places nearby.
Pros: Central location.
Cons: Pool was more for classes than hotel guests.
Pros: This hotel is an excellent value. The staff is friendly and efficient. The room was clean. It is conviently located and safe.
Cons: Our room was on the street side. It wa noisey. The curtains did not keep out all the light from the street.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. All very clean. Good value.
Cons: Not enough hooks for wet towels. No shelf for toiletries. Bedside light didn't work.
Pros: My room was perfectly fine - a comfy bed and a few piece of furniture. Breakfast was basic eggs and toast, with fresh juice and instant coffee. Just a 10 minute walk to the main plaza. Great, clean, comfy budget option. Perfect for 1 night.
Cons: They do not accept credit card!
Pros: Nice room Location Staff Breakfast was good on the day we managed to get one
Cons: Quite loud Breakfast times just approximate - we had to leave early, 30 mins later made a difference
Pros: Very clean, good breakfast, great location!
Cons: The staff.
Pros: Close enough to Centro but far enough away that it wasn’t noisy. A five minute walk to Centro
Cons: All good!
Pros: The hotel was clean and the room size was good.
Cons: In the rooms you could hear everything from the other rooms. And the road was busy and we could here it from our room. Also there seemed to be renovating and started at 8am banging nearly all day.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Pros: It was clean. Nothing was broken or damaged. We were in the family room with 3 small children. It was not crowded as we have been in other hostels. There was soap and shampoo provided, which was a nice touch. Plenty of water pressure and hot water. The restaurant was very nice and the breakfast more than adequate. The staff was nice and accommodating. Loved it.
Pros: It was very close to UTPL university and their staff is very very kind.
Cons: The breakfast was ok. Not a lot of variety.
Cons: Breakfast Variety.
Pros: No frills hotel. The single room is very small, but it was clean and very cheap. TV works, stations are in Spanish of course, but there is an option with the "audio" button on the remote to change it to English if you prefer (some stations). Central location, felt very safe, even at night. Grocery store around the corner (sells beer and liquor as well, called puerta del sol). Check in and out was easy, couldn't get the wifi to work but I didn't ask. Less than $2 cab ride (like $1.50) to the terminal terrestre. Room has a safe, I didn't use it but looks easy. Keys for the door are electronic. There is hot water in the shower.
Pros: Fresh eggs were a treat!!
Cons: The hotel was damp inside. Needs to be seriously upgraded. Cold, wet and damp. Uncomfortable, unclean feeling.
Pros: Everything was great. Nice included breakfast came with the room

Pros: Nice staff ,clean room, really nice wifi and Price.
Pros: Friendly atmosphere. Very clean. Nice park nearby as well as a "sendero" (8 km round trip hiking path).
Cons: No heat and it was very cold at times.
Pros: The bed was comfortable.............new mattress and pillows
Cons: The front door was always open and as well, the garage door..........not secure. Anyone could have walked in off he street and taken room keys. Only stayed one night - very noisey and overlooked Mechanicsville which was not a pretty sight. No garden...........crowing roosters at 5:00 am.........Owner charged me $15.00 for staying an additional 7 hours on the Sunday because my bus was leaving at 11:00 pm. I would never stay here again..........
Pros: The room was brightly decorated. The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and patient with my Spanish. The breakfast was one of the better ones I have experienced while traveling in Ecuador.
Cons: The water in the shower was barely warm and should be a little hotter.
Pros: Clean, comfortable, near the bus terminal
Cons: The manager tried to over charge us for the room and was very rude to us and her staff. She didn't want us to pay what are booking confirmation stated. After 10 minutes of discussion she finally agreed. But yelled at her emplyoees in front of us.
Pros: They gave you a couple of choices for breakfast. Traditional Loja or classic eggs and toast. 2 minute walk to bus terminal. Close to resteraunts and walking distance to Jipiro park.
Cons: Long walk to centre of town. Entrance of hotel feels like a back alley.
With a stay at Casben Hotel in Loja, you'll be in a shopping district, just a 4-minute walk from Jipiro Park and a 2-minute drive from Loja City Gates. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.

Pros: Great location in a regular neighborhood but still felt safe. The vendors were moved to the bridge and some came over when it got dark but there was a police presence day and night to make sure they did not block the street and the entrances to the businesses like the hotel. You can walk to the main sites. We felt safe. Great staff...very friendly and helpful. They got someone to walk with my friend to the tourist office. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Bathroom a bit tight. Hot water came eventually.
Pros: Clean, reasonably priced, friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Perhaps not their fault, but I was told I could book a shared taxi to the airport for $7, but when the taxi arrived he insisted since nobody else joined I should pay $14. The hotel staff wasn't able to help me.
Cons: Good staff
Pros: The staff at Prado Intenacional were friendly and very welcoming throughout my stay in Loja. They were very helpful and attentive to every need. Nice property, well maintained and exceptional people.
Pros: Very convenient
Cons: Rooms could use some freshening up
Cons: The parking is really not comfortable. I recommend to leave car in other parking nearby.
Pros: The bed was firm. I like the little refrigerator. You don't see much of that in Ecuador. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: The "fabulous breakfast" was just two eggs, bread, juice (fresh and not watered down) and coffee. The restaurant is not in operation. I think they might be hurting financially.
Located in Loja, Hotel Villonaco offers a shared lounge. Among the facilities at this property are a 24-hour front desk and room service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The hotel offers a continental or American breakfast.
Pros: Very accommodating staff and friendly. Breakfast was simple and excellent.
Cons: The toilet seat is loose and the hot water tap for the sink was leaking. A bit of maintenance and the place will be great.
Pros: staff very welcoming. the room has table and chair to work and dressing mirror
Cons: because of the structure of the building, the door bell, TV, and other sounds from the first floor and from the cafeteria on the third floor can be heard clearly in the room.
Pros: Good location
Cons: Kind of sterile hotel feel to it
Pros: The attentiveness and helpfulness of staff. Excellent. The breakfasts, which varied daily and were good. The "balcony" overlooking Calle Sucre. Bed was comfy.
Cons: The hot water tap in the bathroom leaked into the sink. The shower door was noisy and hard to close.
Pros: Breakfast was continenetal. We got our money's worth. The staff is terrific and location is wonderful! It is not a luxurious place but you get value for your money!
Cons: bathroom is tight.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, and the window/ door opened out above the street one block from the center. The coffee was great, and the staff were entirely accommodating and cheerful.
Cons: The toilet did not work properly, failing to flush completely no matter how much they plunged it. The shower would not warm up, but I don’t know if that was just my room.
Pros: Excellent location near the main square. Helpful and accommodating host.
Pros: I love everything about this property the room is immaculate the water hot the staff kind and helpful and the location near to city parks.
Cons: Zero complaints!

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: The distance from the city was too much. The road was dusty and rough. The room was small and the beds uncomfortable.
Pros: The atmosphere of this old hacienda was wonderful.
Cons: The mattresses in the secondary building need to be replaced. They are thin and do not offer back support.
Pros: The food was amazing, the views incomparable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly! It is the perfect getaway from city life if you want to relax and enjoy nature!
Cons: The Booking.com page wasn't completely accurate, so when we arrived it was a bit of a shock how far out it was from Loja, and how rustic the property was. We loved it but wished we had had a better idea of what we were getting into from the start. This property is very remote, we didn't have much cell service, and it was a little challenging to get to it. The bedrooms share 2 bathrooms so if you are looking for a private bathroom this might not be for you. We would return but would pack more appropriately for "roughing it", and would plan to eat all of our meals there because Loja is too far to get to within an hour.
With a stay at Grand Hotel Loja in Loja, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Loja Music Museum and Central Bank Museum. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: I did not like the fact that the first picture they advertised regarding the hot tub was not accurate. Neither the hot tub or the sanua were working. The location was not near anything of interest.
Pros: The food and service are excellent above and beyond helpful
Cons: Refrigerator did not work but we didn’t need this time on our next visit they assured me we will have a working one
Pros: staff friendliness
Cons: banging next door (construction all day
Pros: the staff went beyond to help me, as my phone was pick pocketed in Loja they help me buy another and helped me change my flights, drove me to the bus terminal very late at night Thank you Danielo y Sara
Cons: all good
Pros: Nothing. The staff charged us 40 dollars more then advertised on booking. Thank goodness booking caught it and rectified it. If I could I would give Grand Loja -5
Cons: We disliked Everything. Dirty, noisy staff trying to rip us off. We asked for a cab to the airport they said it would be over 2 hours we walked outside and grabbed a cab in less then a minute. We would have missed our flight. Dark hair on the tiles of the wall. I have blonde. The room was soooo noisy. The floor looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in over a week. Buyer beware I have never give. A bad review before but had to warn other travellers.
Pros: friendly service
Cons: Our exterior room above the street was very noisy.
Pros: Love the suite, the view is great, and the jacuzzi is excellent. We use room 508 every time we visit Loja. Great value for money.
Cons: Not enough towels and they were rough, not soft or comfortable. Also, there were some odd additional charges that I did not expect or fully understand. Finally, the check-out was a real problem because the credit card machine took over half an hour to process my payment and I missed my bus home to El Pangui. It's a five hour journey.
Visitors to Loja will find that the Hotel Floys Internacional is a fantastic accommodation choice. With Wi-Fi in designated areas available, you'll have no problems keeping connected. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Airport pickup can be arranged by the hotel upon request. For those driving themselves, free parking is provided on site.
Cons: There’s were hairs everywhere in the bathroom. On Sunday they serve breakfast very late and I had to leave early. Wasn’t as I would have expected.
Pros: The hotel has parking and elevators. Front desk lady was very nice. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Restaurant was closed on the day we arrived. Bed was noisy and curtains were a few inches from floor so light from outside shown in all night. Breakfast was to be delivered to room at 8am, we waited but none was delivered . When we were checking out, front desk lady brought breakfast to a small waiting area. Location was not horrible but on a Saturday night it was very dark walking back to our hotel from eating dinner. Almost all the businesses were closed within a couple blocks. We had planned eating in the hotel restaurant that was not opened. Maintenance is needed in the bathroom. The shower faucet dripped ALOT...when bath water was running. I chose to take a bath. The stopper had to be pried out of the drain so bath water could drain. I ended up using my eyebrow plucker. There was hot water at night but in the morning there was NO hot water. Our room was only supplied with one towel for two people. .

Cons: Noisy but due to noisy talking guests outside the room
Cons: They ask almost double price when we arrived there, I didn’t get any notice before, tell me is some wrong with booking.com system, it feels like a trap, they can email me or phone me, we saw another couple come in having the same issue.
Cons: Fee online is different from fee charged at desk
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Hot water was good.
Cons: Sheets were poor, room was very noisy.
Pros: Hot shower with pressure!!! Especially in the late evening en early morning. Bed was comfortable and the place seemed very clean.
Cons: Attention of the staff was poor. If you return in the evening or night it takes some minutes and many rings of the bell before the staff opens the door. In the meantime the whole hostel has been woken. And in the early morning they were making quite some noise for some reason. Breakfast was quite poor.
