Close to the highway, not difficult to find, easy to park No bathtuub in the room. Slighly noisy
Lovely hotel -- nice decor, friendly staff, clean and served delicious coffee and breakfast. Weird location, in an industrial area. Dinner options not great for family with kids, required going out of hotel in evening. I do not recall the odd location being described in the reviews, but could be my mistake.
Cleanliness, awesome breakfast, staff A bit isolated. Sometimes noisy at night. Doors and feet echo in industrial hallway. I requested a quiet room but got one opposite elevator.
The staff were very pleasantly relaxed and cheerful in contrast to the starchy politeness usually encountered. The price charged for an after-dinner drink was unacceptable given the tiny measures!
Very clean, very good breakfast, good service, comfortable. Location is perfect, if one has a car. None
beautiful interiors, very friendly and helpful staff, tasty breakfast, there is a quite big car park next to the hotel and some additional parking spaces as well- all free of charge!
this hotel is very good . Internet, garage, Breakfast... all what you need.
Brand new hotel, not far away from the highway and easy to park. Good breakfast. Nice design of the room with the shower just in the middle of it No issues with the cups this time (please read my previuous review). I would have loved a bathtuub in the bathroom but unfortunately in new hotels they are really disappearing.
This hotel was extremely close to the highway exit and therefore easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was really helpful and courteous.
Staff at Reception were extremely friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff very good. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good. The hotel shuttle service was very good. I have to say our driver was excellent, he was very reliable and always prompt. The only problem we encountered at the hotel restaurant was the service or lack of!! The service was poor especially when conferences were held and large groups of people dined in the restaurant. There wasn't enough staff to handle large groups. It is not the fault of the waiters, but the management need to look into this. We often helped ourselves to the condiments etc. as the staff were far too busy! We had the same problem with breakfast - although this was self service, we had to ask and wait for empty trays of fruit, ham, cheese etc. to be filled up.
Very comfortable hotel with modern, renovated rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, lots of parking spaces. There even is a small swimming pool with terace. Price/quality was excellent. Locations is not very nice, however close to Autostrada.
It is situated right near autostrade
All staff were very helpful and courtious. I really enjoyed my stay due to the staff being very very patient with our request. The river of your shuttle was very helpful and friendly. I would recomend your hotel to anyone who is traveling to the area. None
The hotel was convenient for Pescara, Montesilvano, Pineto and Rosseto provided you have a car. The room was very spacious and the facilities provided very good. The breakfast included in the price was also varied and a good starter for the day. The staff were a little distant and impersonal however I think this was due to the language barrier rather than anything else.
Staff ok, however the room, the lobby, the location and "view" were all disappointing. Well below average. Don't know how it got good ratings until now. On the plus side, Italians from that area are some of the nicest people I met lobby, room, cleanliness
Good quality for the price with very helpful, friendly staff. Very good pastries for breakfast.
The hotel was nicer than expected. The price we paid was good value. The staff was excellent and rooms were very clean and well appointed.
At 100 m. for this hotel it's a great barbeque-pizza-pub, with very good beer and food. I think is called Gambrinus. Enjoy it. The staff (except one of the girl from reception) is miserable.
Close to the highway, easy to park The hotel in general was OK. Unfortunately I wedding party was going on and I could not sleep until 2 a.m. I was given a room just above the party informing me at 10 pm that in 30 minutes everything was over. When the shift changed at the reception, there was a more reasonable guy who changed the room. Breakfast the day after very poor.
swimming pool, rich breakfast, private parking
Our stay at Villa Medici for 8 days was excellent. The hotel staff went out of their way to assist us in any way possible. They took care of our hotel arrangements in Rome without hesitation. We were able to rent a car inside the hotel and the gentleman who looked after the rental, also went out of his way to arrange our cab for the early morning hours when leaving for Rome. We look forward to returning to Medici in the future. We would highly recomend this hotel to anyone who wishes to have a very pleasant stay. One night however, is not long enough to enjoy the beautiful pool that was always kept immaculate. Thank you to all of the very friendly staff, you made our stay feel like family. we arrived after midnight and got a super service of the night porter. The view and the fact that it was not possible to get fresh air in the room. Half of the rooms has a view on the inside of the hotel and no contact with outside. Bad smell in the corridors.
We thought that we could eat at the restaurant. They were having a wedding so I do not think the restaurant is open to hotel guests when they have events.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The place was very clean. The room was a bit cold and the temperature gauge was not very user friendly.
Front desk speaks no english. Passports held and left without ID's to move around in town. Noisy beds when you move. Many youngsters (noisy, late sleepers) were in hotel too, we did not have a good sleep as they were accomodated next to us.
the hotel was locateld very badly. 16 km far from fossacesia, instead of 4,5 km as promised.
A decent hotel with good staff See price babybed!!
Close to high way. Good Breakfast The room was confortable but furniture was not cosy and in harmony with the hotel
MAGICAL. This place is like going back in time in Abruzzo, fascinating restoration of an ancient way of life with a working fireplace in your room and yet radient heat in the ancient-seeming tile floors - diffused electric lighting supplemented by candles, a lovely medieval village to expolore, castles and mountains at your door - so lovely. Be sure to eat in their restaurant at night - authentic hand-made food, excellent wines and a knowledgable staff proud to share their offerings with you. The furnishings are all quite authentic - the beds are snug and comfortable but there was no snug comfy chair to sit in while watching the fire ( this kind of furnishing not authentic to the period) but only small hard very authentic ladder-back chairs. I ended up improvising with a bed pillow on the radient-heated tile.
outstanding appearance of the hotel (which is actually the village itself), excellent customer service, staff is attentive to every detail, nice restaurant, perfect and very cosy breakfast, gourmet project overall
The authenticity of the restoration of this ancient poor mountaintop town. This was not a Hollywood version of what it should have been like, but rather a respectful approach to restoring enough of the town to make it habitable for 21st century sensibilities. No.
Hotel is located amid the National Parks of Abruzzo with surrounding scenes superior to filming locations in "The Sound of Music" (Salzburg area). Medieval town partially restored with attention to minimal and true historical character but an overlay of unpretentious elegance. Staff is over-the-top friendly and helpful in genuine way. Room is rustic but ultra-modern in toilet/tub plumbing etc. Bed is large but you need to like a very firm mattress. Many details stay true to local, historical character from the artisan foods served to the shampoo provided. A once in a lifetime experience.
Excellent staff in a unique location. Not like any other hotel as it is spread around the town. Like living in a former time.At night the village is yours. The restaurant is very good. It is more an experience than a hotel stay. The rooms are dark in keeping with the theme. A little more lighting would be good. Not for everybody - the disabled would not cope.Relatively expensive.
This place is beautiful. It really is a castle and our room was enormous with a very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English very well. This place really is a castle and every inch of the place feels like you are staying in an castle of old. Very fun.
stunning hotel, very large room, very good restaurant. Staff extremely helpful. Wonderful view. I would have liked sky TV in the room
Beautiful hotel, rooms, included breakfasts and overall value. Truely a great and memorable experience. The hotel is used for business functions and weddings, especially on weekends, so be prepared for the hotel to focus on these events somewhat at he expense of guests.
the room fodd not wonderful
Due to very positive feedback on booking.com we had high expectations on this hotel which did not come true. A pity because we really were looking forward to have a great time at this hotel. Positive things are the hotel/castle which is beautifully restored, situated on a hill overlooking the village. Fresh fruit during breakfast. Friendly cleaning staff. Unfriendly and unpersonal approach upon arrival at the reception desk. Due to a wedding we were not allowed to use the swimmingpool (no excuses or compensation were offered). It took more than three minutes before the shower water was somewhat tepid. Very bad reception at satellite tv. Very hard beds.
The Castello was an enchanting experience, the room was superb and the staff helpful and efficient, and the views stunning. I would highly recommend it to anybody visiting that part of Italy.
This is a beautiful castle to stay at. The views are fantastic and the room stunning. We will stay there again.
It is real luxury hotel for reasonable price. Staff was excellent. The room size and furniture was just great. They also have very good restaurant and common areas too. Highly recommended.
The hotel had a lot of character (castle dating back to the 8th century) and was one of the nicest ones I have been to in a while. The staff was very friendly and aiming to make our stay a good one.
Such a beautiful building in a charming town.
very nice staff and very nice hotel/room, good price/quality the location is so-so, but it didn't matter
Friendly reception, very modern room particularly the bathroom, excellent on site restaurant offering outstanding value to hotel guests location is very convenient for an en route stop, although located in a commercial area but return to Autostrada was a bit confusing
Large parking lot just in front of the hotel. Quick check in/check out but "cold staff". The room was extremely large and nice. Not too much variety of food during breakfast, no scrambled eggs or bacon for instance. No bathtuub in the room. Furniture of the reception and breakfast room too minimalist for a 4 star hotel
Clean new hotel with nice well air conditioned rooms and friendly staff. Door pass failed to work several times. Huge mirror seemed to be resting on a shelf that was about to fall off the wall. Shower screen leaked over the bathroom floor. Food overpriced and under expectation for Italy. Staff mostly speak Italian only, not much English.
Close to the airport, very clean and easy to find. The staff was borderline pleasant. No biggie though.
Staff was eager to serve, and make you feel at home. For example, I couldn't connect to Internet due to my Ethernet cable being faulty: they found out the reason, and they provided me with a working cable.
Comfortable hotel, with good equipment (Sat TV), rooms were clean Personnel serving breakfast was not friendly, after 09:00 AM many items were missing from the buffet
the room we get was excelent and very clean.staff was helpful very poor breakfast. no facilities
Spacious rooms, clean and with all facilities - serviceminded reception - situated central in the village - good parking facilities. No english speaking staff in restaurant - rather high noice level from bar next to restaurant - necessary to take credit card away instead of billing by the table (within sight!)
The staff was extremely attentive and hospitable. I would stongly recommend this hotel. The room was very clean No
The restaurant side attached to the hotel had excellent food. We ate there often. The breakfast left much to be desired.
clean, friendly atmosphere although they advertised they were English speaking, they were not
Beautiful place to stay
Wonderful staff, great food, nightly entertainment, very clean and nice rooms. Next to the Pescara rivers. Excellent location in the small town of Popoli in Abruzzo. Even though it's essentially the only hotel in this small town, the hotel still strives to do it's best!
excellent location along the highway Rome-Pescara; many facilities; quiet and relaxing position. the restaurant may look too design and cold for the location but breakfast was excellent.
Excellent family-run hotel. The staff really went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. They arranged a transfer to the airport for me specially and provided me with information on buses etc. The in-house restaurant was convenient and the food good. And the price very reasonable! The hotel is right next to the station in the low town, so although the view isn't great (as it is in Chieti Alta), it is very easy for buses and trains, without being noisy. I will return again when I am next in the area. Thank you!
hotel staff @ nature
Harri's was an excellent hotel with warm, friendly service, excellent food, and a relaxing atmosphere; it comes highly recomended.
The friendly service by all staff
