Located 4 km from the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve, Relais Briuccia is a converted nobleman’s mansion which features a Sicilian restaurant. It offers free breakfast room service and traditionally furnished rooms with a spa bath. Rooms at the Briuccia have Victorian-style bathrooms and marble floors. Each comes with a satellite LCD TV and a balcony, while some feature four-poster beds. A small continental breakfast is provided daily. Chef Damiano Ferraro cooks up local specialities in the restaurant, served in the courtyard in fine weather. Eraclea Minoa is 9 km from the property. Agrigento, with its Valley of the Temples, is a 30-minute drive away.
Pros: Friendly staff and truly excellent chef
Pros: This is a relaxed small fine dining restaurant with pleasant characterful rooms, along the lines of a French Relais or good Logis. Run by a very friendly, energetic and multilingual family, the Chef trained in some impressive restaurants and it shows. The tasting menu was excellent, better than I have had in Michelin starred restaurants and at a fraction of the price. If wine is your thing, they keep an extensive cellar with some good local selections. Stayed 2 nights and the Chef produced two different 5 course menus, how’s that for service.
Pros: This exceptional place is a hidden pearl: absolutely stunning. Very friendly staff, gorgeous interior design and magnificent food. It was a pleasure to stay here, we couldn't recommend it more highly.
Pros: Very unique hotel and restaurant, beautifully renovated and styled. Husband and wife owners were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food was outstanding and very special. It's obviously a local gem, and if you are a foodie, it's a memorable experience! Thanks to previous posts about the food, we were encouraged to come here and we were so thrilled that we did!
Cons: The location is in a very simple village, and about 20 min west of Agrigento, so you will wonder where you are and what you've done. But, once you are there, you'll know you're in a special place! It's worth the drive just to meet Damiano and taste his food.
Pros: An amazing experience- the relais is situated in a mist unattractive town which makes its magnificence all the more fascinating. The room was exquisite - we had the top floor room with the terrace (you need to be fit, it is up three very steep stairs) the food in the restaurant is to die for - the tasting menu is great but I was actually more enchanted by the a la carte (which was also very good value) - we ate there three nights - a wonderful way to start our Sicilian odyssey
Pros: The dinner was amazing! Don’t miss the tasting menu which was exquisite
Pros: Superior service, beautiful rooms, amazing Micheline chef, terrific owners.
Cons: Nothing that I didn't like
Pros: Great location, wonderful hospitality, delicious food, amazing interior result in an overall truly outstanding ambiance.
Pros: Unreal property like staying in a 18'th century palace
Cons: Own was not there when we arrived. Had to wait for the place to open. Took a while
Pros: Everything! Do not miss the chance to stay here. Also recommend having dinner in the restaurant. Delicious food and wonderful service. Such gracious hosts! The best food - breakfast was amazing. Comfortable, beautiful surroundings. A wonderful stay all around.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and luggage storage. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very nice host's who couldn't do enough for us and beautiful setting and great pool area although up a steep incline.
Cons: Mosquitos and lack of storage in bedroom, however the bedroom was tasteful.
Pros: Everything was perfect: the hosts been super nice, all the food was actually one of the best we had in Sicily. Their wine (from their own vineyards) is remarkable. We strongly recommend a bottle of wine by the unexpectedly „grand“ and wonderful swimming pool. We wish we could have stayed a few days more on this gorgeous Property. Strongly recommended.
Pros: We had a marvalous stay in the Baglio Curuana. It is a luxurious place with a sleek design, with a 5 minimus drive to the beach. We loved the swimming pool and the associated facilities. The personal approach of the host (Roberto and Benina) was really a plus. If desired, Benina gave advice on restaurants in the area. During our stay of 6 nights, we had twice a wonderful dinner with their own wine, followed by a tour through the winery. We met nice fellow guests with home we exchanged addresses.
Cons: There were aggressive little mosquitoes
Pros: Everything was perfect! Clean, modern and comfortable room with big bathroom and spacious shower. Very quiet neighborhood. Breakfast was really delicious! I regret that It was just a one night stop in our journey through the south Sicily. I'd love to stay there longer.
Pros: Courtyard smell of Jasmin
Pros: Beautiful winery with amazing views and sunset, great food and excellent new pool and spa facilities. The hosts were lovely and we would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to avoid the most touristy areas.
Pros: The owners, Roberto and Beninna, were wonderfull hosts. Their personalities, warm and smart; their wines and breakfast excellent. However, finding it was a bit tricky. We took the wrong turn around the roundabout, and wound up in the labyrinth of Monteallegro. The location is comfortably outside of the town. It's actually in nearby Torre Salsa. Bring your bathing suits. We didn't have time for it but it looked great.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
When you stay at Luna Minoica Suites & Apartments in Montallegro, you'll be near the beach and 13 minutes by car from Torre Salsa Nature Reserve. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and an elevator. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Hotel is near the beach, but if you travel when season ends, be ready that it is quite abandoned and restaurants on it are closed. Stuff is super friendly and kind, always ready to help. Great place to stay.
Pros: The location was excellent! At the beach, which is beautiful, in about 5 mins.
Cons: Our sink was clogged with hairs from the previous guests and remained clogged for the rest of our stay. The cleaners used so many chemicals that it took us a full day to get rid of the smell. Hence we decided to not have our rooms cleaned again. Upon arrival we were escorted to our room by a golfcart as it appeared to be on quite a steep hill, it’s all nice to be brought up there but for the remainder of your stay you will need to climb up 3 quite steep hill-like ramps and descend these in the heat. It would have been nice to know about this beforehand. We are quite fit but had we brought someone less fit this would have been a problem.
Pros: Great location at the beachfront. Nice views. Clean Appartement. Overall the area is very well kept.
Cons: Many wasps flying around in the area especially around the pool. Quite dangerous. Should be taken care of, even if it’s wasps season. Oh and a couch would be nice to sit on next to the chairs.
Pros: Lovely spacious, clean apartments. Location was fabulous, just a short stroll through the woods to a gorgeous long sandy beach.
Pros: Quite place, close to the beach, big swimming pool, clear large appartements.
Cons: Long distance to the nearest village.
Pros: proximity to the beach extremely professional and friendly staff at reception
Pros: Beautiful room with a great view! We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Also the beach is very nice and not crowded at all. It’s the perfect place to just relax. Super friendly and helpful staff.
Pros: Lovely being a stone's throw from a sandy quiet beach. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean, tidy and well maintained from the accommodation, the grounds and poo and breakfast areal. The local fruit and home made cakes at breakfast were delicious.
Pros: - We really liked the swimming pool and spent a lot of time relaxing there. - The hotel is very close to the beach where you will find 3-4 restaurants and plenty of space - even in July/August it is not overcrowded. - The room was comfortable and we liked its simple style. The beds and air conditioning were very good.
Cons: - You need to know that the main houss down at the pool and breakfast area hosts only deluxe rooms and appartments, while the standard rooms and appartmens are approx. 50m higher up on a steep hill. We felt that this separation is also made within the services: for „standard people“ access to the gym for example costs EUR 8.00 each time extra! - You may rent beach towels if you like, but keep in mind that here they have an extra cost of EUR 5.00 per day/towel - even in Switzerland you could BUY a new towel for that price. I feel that at a hotel like this beach towels should be included. - The aura, moods and service willingness of the owner do not really go along with this so nice and peaceful place.
