Magnificent setting, luxurious room. Service was perfect, attentive without being oppressive. The best hotel we have stayed at in Venice.
The situation is very beautiful, and the table in the bar on the balcony is a wonderful place to drink in the afternoon. The breakfast is lovely. The room was very dusty, like it hadn't been dusted for weeks. There's no internet access in the room of any kind even though this is promised. "Most of our customers don't want it," I was told. Nonetheless it was promised & I wanted it. We had no hot water for showers: when I enquired about this I was told, "there is a fault," but no alternative was offered. One of the staff members I spoke to (not all, I hasten to add) was very rude and dismissive. He said that as I was only staying for one night these things shouldn't matter; also that as I had spent three nights at another hotel before moving to this hotel for the (what was supposed to me a much better) last night, that I should have stayed where I was. He was so right!
This hotel was very close to st marks square and right by the ferry bus stop. This d'hôtel room was quite small and expensive for what was offered.
Beautiful location, friendly staff. Poor bar service, slightly overpriced, but to be expected from the location. Only slight disappointment was dusty rooms with no air conditioning and very hot/stuffy. Apparently the air con is only switched on in summer.
Fantastic location and excellent staff.
Very intimate and unique.
Wonderful Hotel. Arrived hot and bothered but room was ready and nice and cool (thank god for a/c). Helpful friendly staff, very nice breakfast. We booked the Barbarigo for our anniversary and wanted somewhere classy and certainly found it here. Everything is clean and new looking, nice view from the second floor breakfast/bar area, there is even a table and chairs on the balcony for a more intermite meal! Get the Vaparetto to the S. Toma stop and head right, when you reach the little square with some glass shops and the rear enterance is tucked away on the right or alternativly get a private taxi to the front door!
the bathrooms in luxury rooms fantastic . staff were so friendly and very helpful
the staff was nice but not really aware of what was happening in Venise whereas we went there for the Biennale and the Mostra... They did not have any programme or map...
Tha barman Marco was excellent! Breakfast was basic and room was a bit too dark
The hotel is very luxurious. We stayed in a junior suite which was fantastic, superbly designed and had great views of the canal. The hotel staff were very attentive yet very discreet. We would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable, luxurious stay in Venice. You would need to get a water taxi to the hotel (expensive) as trying to get there by foot is extremely difficult and has no signs directing you to hotel which is down little alleyways.
Our final night here and the dinner was the best of our whole holiday. Bedrooms good but pillows hard. Location to ferry excellent but hotel should warn guests with cars that queues for early ferry can be llong. Recommend buying return ticket when boarding in Venice so separate short queue for pre-bookers.
Clean and very big rooms. No restaurant, no free tea/coffee which should be standard in this category, parking slots for free but ferry with 100 EUR for car with 4 people very expensive, water taxi to Venice casts 6 EUR per person one way and beach usage 13 EUR. No pool and/or fitness facilities. Location is in the middle of the island and no view to water as claimed. Summary: ridiculous expensive for offered value.
first room offered was small with one tiny window and a sloping ceiling making it quite claustrophobic, second room had been sprayed with a very powerful chemical spray to cover up dog smells and it was filthy and damp, the third room was what we should have got in the first place and was roomier, with much more light. daytime reception staff were condescending. there are only 6 very cramped parking spaces for 70 hotel rooms and their comments of parking out on the street at front of hotel is very misleading. in the 4 days we were at the hotel parking out the front was never available. we had to park at least 1/2 km away. be wary if you are expecting parking onsite or on the street out front you better be visiting in winter!!
Quiet good quality hotel, good food and service, comfortable rooms, caring staff especially when considering the children. Narrow lifts made it difficult to access with a push chair. Wheels had to be taken off chair!
The location, size of the room and all facilities worked - the air con was tremendous & the safw worked. These don't often work in Italian hotels. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. There could have been more fresh fruit at breakfast.
The hotel looked very nice, cosy with nice garden etc. It was a pleasure when entering the hotel. The staff seems to be grumpy sometimes.
The hotel was in a great location with fantastic views across the lagoon. The terrace garden was really nice, the breakfast good and the room was spacious and well equipped.
The location and the grounds The staff were very good and helpful The breakfast was poor, with little fresh fruit and a limited selection. The Restarant is terrible and expensive
Friendly, helpful staff, away from the busier parts of Venice
Mini bar not replenished each day,coffee/tea making not replenished and plastic mugs and spoons not acceptable for a 4star hotel in our experience. Soap disappeared on two occasions and not replenished. These were only small irritations but irritations nevertheless. Otherwise very good.
Ideally situated on Lido Island, a stones throw from the boat, which take you to other parts of Venice, including Piazza San Marco. The staff was excellent - very professional, polite and answered every question; the breakfast was delicious!! We loved the setting - beautiful with gardens, by the water, with a terrace for an evening glass of wine or spritz. We would return to Hotel Villa Mabapa!!! Absolutely nothing!!
Very helpful staff Extremely small and compact space even by European standards.
Room was clean Shower is not of this time anymore, after taking a shower you could swim in the bathroom, why not having a simple showercabine or so? The breakfast was very poor. For Internet you had to pay, while the website claims it is for free.
I really liked the room and the bathtab with jacuzzi. Nothing
Good location The hotel is nice but expensive and were charged 4 euros per person and per day as local tax, in the top of that.
Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff, quiet, close to transport (vaporetto), beautiful room, lovely atmosphere and sense of history although sympathetically and well modernised.
A short walk from the bus station and an even shorter walk from the water bus make this an ideal location. The colourful decor in this restored building makes it unique. Excellent breakfast too!
Frendly staff. Excelent Service.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel's décor is charming and very quirky. The place is in short beautiful. We loved staying here because Domina Home Ca Zusto is something different to the normal. Nothing wrong here. All was as advertised or better.
friendly staff , though not very prorfessional:) the internet conection was very bad!!! no buffet breakfast we were told the room was broken and asked we used room service
Everything was excellent
I liked the welcoming attitude of the staff. The hotel is cheerful both in thatvaspect and the decor is fresh and inviting. The rooms are unique as well as the breakfast room. The location works great as I arrived by train and it is a short walk and I rolled my luggage there. Then, went on to walk around.it is close to everything including a vaporetto if you prefer to return to the hotel that way after a long day of walking and sightseeing.also restaurants are nearby that seem to cater to locals as well,Especially Pizzeria Anfora.I was with my 9 year old daughter and she loved the experience, we felt well taken care of there. We would go back. As buildings in Venice are centrally controlled as to heating and air conditioning and as we were lucky and glad for the mild temperatures in early November, the room was a bit warm, I opened the window and it was appropriately cooler but had to suffer a bug or two.
The overall stay was pleasant: location close to Santa Lucia railway station and Piazzale Roma. We had window view to the canal. The room was clean and it was cleaned every day. There was shared bathroom in our floor, but only two rooms sharing it. Bathroom was clean. We also shared a kitchen, "self service" breakfast items were supplied there (very simple: juice, bread and coffee).
no , I dont like this hotel anymore, It so not safe fr me who travelling with mom, two women. Reception & my apartment is not same bulidling , . It not conveince if I have trouble . The building is renovated and I can'topen for canal sence . I feel not safe to stay in that apartment. Heater is not working and I come from Asia , I don't know how to open it . It very bad experience fr my first time in B&B . I will not use B&B room style again.
That hotel and owner was great we had everything we needed and more. The walk
Very clean, spacious, light and airy
Location - close to train station Two things. First, there was no key for the room and we have shared apartment with someone else. Second, there was no heating and the night was really cold.
near train station stuff said we share tow other guests but it was three, there was no heater in the bed room, extremely cold
I felt that I am in my home
staff is nice. breakfast is OK. the flies, many flies
All the staff is very very kind and available! They offer good support before and after the journey. The position is perfect to see all the city by day and night. Rooms are comfortable, very quite and clean. The breakfast is great and complete. I reccomend this bed and breakfast.
kitchen and bathroom is good
the beds were clean, the room was lockable, access to a food store, short distance to Venice pool attendant was not friendly, noisy guests in next trailer, there were no guest reviews available online.
Location is quite far from Venedig but still easy to find The room is far too small for 4 persons, it's more suitable for 2 persons. Most of the equipments are not in good conditions anymore.
Nice friendly stuff, location is ok. Not everything is working like it should. E.g. sever was blocked.
It was cheap, there was a nice bar area to hang out in, and the shuttle to venice was very convenient. The walls are thin, you can hear neighbors easily. Should probably have a bath towel to step on, and the shower head sprayed sideways at certain points. Also, why only being able to pay with the card? Inconvenient to have to go to the office to fill the card and then be able to buy things around the campsite.
Helpful staff, youth atmosphere, facilities in the village Very basic room, beds, sheets, blankets...etc. But acceptable for a camping village.
friendly and helpfull staff, good pizza and spaghetti carbonara. lovely all round.
This place had a hostel type atmosphere with the ability for privacy as well. The staff was friendly, the facilities within camp jolly are excellent and the shuttle made getting to and from Venice very easy. This place had many different types of people from all ages and places. It was a greay way to see Venice and make some friends along the way The breakfast at camp jolly was average. You might be better off buying your own somewhere else
I have been there only 2 days. Everything was ok. Cleanliness great. I would return there if I liked Venice;)
We arrived at Jolly in early morning and were able to enter the room emediately, which ws very kind from their staff. Location is a little bit critical especialy if you are coming to Jolly late at night.
The rooms were well kept and had everything I needed the weather that day
The camping was really far from public transportation. Good thing is the shuttle service to Venice. Bungalow as such is really good and has all facilities for sleeping and spending the night comfortably.
Very good and nice kamping. Wery good food excellent kitchen staff. Special thanks for very nice and helpful Monica from reception
I did not like the fruit juice at breakfast - it was watery and tasted artificail.
The location was perfect. Convenient for restaurants, bars etc but away from the the touristy busy areas near the Grand Canal.
The hotel is a contemporary renovation of a very old building, it is very aesthetically pleasing. The bar was small but comfortable, staff very helpful. Ample breakfasts for ever hungry teenagers.
The location was very good, very clse to the vaporetto stop and all members of staff very helpful.
Very clean & spacious. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Although a short walk to centre of Venice & St Mark's square, it was nice to be outside main tourist area - quieter, local restaurants excellent / cheaper, nice walk in to centre.
Peaceful and well serviced Lack of hot drink making facilities in the rooms
Nice location in the ghetto of Venice Very expensive internet. Staff not always helpful or friendly. Rooms are very dark.
our stay was very nice. it was in a nice part of venice, quiet but close to all the action. the room was great and the staff were always so helpful in anything we needed. the food was great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Quiet location. Good price. No restaurant.
Very clean, brand new (renovation), super quiet, away from tourist hotspots. Very comfortable bed with a nice firm mattress. Separate toilet/bath. For its category the breakfast buffet could have offered a little more variety.
Wooden beams in the room made it very homely. Guidecca is easy to get to from the main island and away from the hustle and bustle. also there is a very nice restaurant on the way to the Palanca vaporetto stop. The staff are very nice there.
I enjoyed the location, and the staff was very accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean and (with the exception of the night and morning noises from the adjacent room's toilet) it was very quiet and peaceful. The window has a wonderful view of the canal. I was warned that Giudecca (the island) was not a good place to stay because it takes so long to travel to Venice, but that's simply not true. I never had to wait for more than five minutes for a trip to Venice. I should also mention that the price of a room at the Hotel Giudecca was substantially lower than rooms on Venice. The island itself is quieter and calmer. The hotel's breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. Wifi only works in the lobby. What traveler wants to be limited to that tiny area? Who wants to conduct private business like banking online while surrounded by strangers? It's an unsafe and inconvenient practice. And even there the reception for the wifi was spotty. I would suggest better wifi for the modern traveler. This might be a cost-prohibitive "fix" to make, but if-- like I do-- you have business to transact online while on vacation, you'll want better connectivity to the internet. My single room was organized so that the head of my bed was up against a wall with a door to the next room, and it was pretty clear that right on the other side was a bathroom as I could hear the occupant's "rituals." In spite of these issues, though, the hotel is an excellent value.
The Hotel was great! Nice design, welcoming personell, excellent brekfast!
Dispite previous reviews, I emailed the Hotel and was given the easiest directions to follow, perhaps others should have tried this. Breakfast was good, always topped up, great mini bar at fanastic prices, room was fabulously clean and well maintained, staff were both helpful and informative, even to the point of booking restaurants (a must for the most popular), even on departure, due to an early start the night porter made tea and coffee before we left. You may read other reviews slating the TV channels, IE no english channels, but if you are intending staying in your room in Venice to watch the TV, then stay at home, because you are wasting your money. If you are concerned about the location, as I was, don't be, its only 4 stops from St Marcs, and 25 mins from Pizza de Roma and surrounded by 3 or 4 great value resturants. Highly recommended. Would I stay there again??? Most definitely!!!!! Absolutely nothing to complain about, fabulous from start to finish.
good price quality ratio, nice and quiet away from the crowd, yet still close to Venice itself. Good breakfast service, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice room with view on canal. Close to ferry to bring you to Venice Shower was rather tiny. Ceiling of lobby was very low so when you're tall you cannot walk straight up.
Excellent location in a residential neighbourhood, very quiet, yet very close to the main islands of Venice - close to the vaporetto stop which will take you to San Marco Square in less than 10 minutes. Clean rooms of decent size, staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is minimal
fair price and comfortable facilities
feel at home
Position and staff Would have liked free wifi in the rooms as well as lobby.
The helpfulness of staff, buffet breakfast. I didn't like the way their internet was set up.
The kindness of the staff The road in front was under construction which made access to the hotel a little difficult if you walk to it.
Location, parking, cleanliness, staff Room temperature hard to adjust and works only when actually in the room. I know there are energy conservation laws but it detracts from the comfort
Hotel is not ideally situated for walking to anything, but a bus stops right in front. Exceptionally clean with modern, beautiful rooms. Staff is very courteous and helpful for travelers in need of directions and help getting around. Highly recommended.
The staff was the best! At the top of my list for the generosity and helpfulness. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk from Oktoberfest and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast is the same every morning, but very good. If you're bringing the train in, the hotel is just around the corner from it. A little hard to find at first but so accessible to everything!
location and proximity to bus service Meals were quite expensive.
Ease reaching from airport for late arrival or jet lagged traveler. Busy, so early check in, even for gold Honors members, seems rare, at least on weekend. Staff was pleasant. I liked that I could get bus/vaporetto pass there -- and recommend it since you'll need to travel by both to get into Venice. We had facility difficulties...the tea pot blew the lighting! They responded quickly and fixed the lights, ut never provided us with a working tea kettle. Also did not offer any reimbursement or accommodation. For anyone with mobility issues, know that returning from Venice on the bus lets you off across the street, where the only way to cross is a very high overpass with stairs. You can, however, request the hotel to send their van across the street to pick you up. WE found this out because we asked how to get across. Convenient to airport. Having a meal in the restaurant....not bad, but p
Hotel was brand new and well appointed. Staff was struggling with systems.
Clean, modern large rooms. English speaking reception staff aided trying to decide what transport to use to get to centre of Venice quickly. Speedy check in/check out. I stayed 2 nights and woke up each morning with what appeared to be several mosquito bites that I did not have the night before. I informed staff of my problem.
Breakfest was very good, good shower.
the ONLY thing good about this hotel is that it is close to the airport and that is was somewhat reasonable. this hotel/convention center has an extremely odd layout.....it is not customer friendly. We checked into the wrong side of the building and then had to drag all our luggage without any assistance to another building where we did not even know where the entrance was. The staff seemed very disinterested in helping us. We seemed a "bother" to them. The hotel desk said that breakfast was served until 11 am and got there at 10:40 and were yelled at as we entered the dining hall by the staff that breakfast was over at 10:30 and there was no other options. The hotel has the appearance of a new and modern facility but is totally soul-less with the rooms appearing to have been decorated with no comfort thought!
The room was very clean and very big, the breakfast was excellent. We had a great time.
external facade of the building and marina (for boats), underground car park air-condition problems, room not clean, hotel looks as new but is very used, very dirty windows, very big noice wehn the doors for room must be open (access card mechanism)
The Hotel is very nice and the breakfast was good as well. Verry nice location in the laguna. the hotel isn´t 800 meters from mestre train station. it´s a 5 minutes bus ride fron the station - a couple of kilometers. but it was easy to find even without a taxi.
very little they had no record of my reservation; given a room, it had no air conditioning till the morning of our grateful departure;
We stayed at Building "B" as cheaper side for 2 nights. They don't have enough equipment and service at their room in spite of 4 stars. Especially, I don't recommend family with little baby need to have milk this hotel. Because there were nothing to have hot water and they did't bring it to us. And we have to move to venezia just by land, not sea.
Breakfast was not bad, free parking near hotel No room service, wi fi for 10 euro per day, windows are dirty, it is to poor room for 4* hotel, first night we had few towels and other bathroom accessories (for one person in two bad room), hotel looks like a shopping center where hotel rooms are made instead of store,
The hotel is great. Lovely resturants and great food. All the staff were very helpfull. Location is good too.
The only nice thing about the hotel was the aspect over a canal. This was the most over-priced and unsatisfactory hotel experience I have had in Europe, and I don't think this was a "Venice" pricing issue. This hotel has 2 different buildings, an up-market 4 star hotel and a budget 3 star hotel. Despite paying for the 4 star hotel we were forced to stay in the 3 star hotel in a noisy room next to a lift - the reception staff rudely would not change the room. The breakfast was not up to scratch for a 4 star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as the risk of being downgraded and not refunded or made good in any way is too high !
Very helpfull staff Shower cubicle too small
Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and a good breakfast. Really enjoyed my stay.
Quite close to the Lido boat stop (less than 10 minutes walking), very quiet, quite clean, nice room even if old. Staff could be more polite. Poor Breakfast.
The hotel is very nice and well maintained. The reception staff are not very pleasant and helping. The hotel is not a cheap hotel and for the cost that we pay, I expect a more pleasant and cordial reception and treatment. The cleaning staff were more pleasant and helping than the reception staff.
Very friendly staff; beautifully situated in a well kept garden, a period buidling dating to the 1930ies; quiet, but still relatively central to the ferry to Venice and to the Lido beach.
Room very comfortable, also quite, staff where very helpfull at all times TV did not have a good reception, also room safe did not operate
the location the bed's mattress had "ridges" on the side--most uncomfortable
I liked the friendliness of the staff, as well as the location outside of the main city. Being near the beach was nice, and the comfortable design of the hotel made it feel more like a guest room in a friend's home rather than a rented space. It was difficult to find, but police officers were kind enough to show us the way.
Comfortable elegant hotel. Very good breakfast. Nice garden. Room very quiet and spacious despite being in busy street in Venice. Being close to the station makes handling luggage and final dash for the train much easier. Nothing
The location is very good (near the rail station) for us who needed to leave very early (6am) the last day. They gave us a bag with breakfast goods since breakfast started at 7am. A very good value for money for us (March 07), but the same hotel for June has doubled the price!! One of the 3 days there was no hot water in the whole Hotel, so we could not take a shower. However this was fixed during the day (it was Sunday).
There was easy access to shopping and transporation. Hotel staff was not very friendly or courteous. I expected a more luxirious environment, online advertisement of facility was misrepresented.
After a very bad first night at a hotel near Rialto bridge, we were very pleased to be welcome at Amadeus; we were allowed to check in before the normal check in time, which was extremely convenient for us as we had luggage. The personnel at the reception was very helpful and welcoming. If ever visiting Venice in the future I will certainly make a reservation a t Amadeus. Thanks and keep up the good work Nothing particularly
The breakfast was the only good thing about the Amadeus hotel, the staff were unhelpful, the room too small and dirty and the bathroom was so small as to almost be unusable Poor service - staff would not even come to room, air conditioning did not work, water would not drain from bath, bathroom and bedroom were dirty and too small
Hotel located near the bus area (to get to the airport).Hotel located in a good area of Venise. The noise but I assume every area in Venise is "noisi"
comfortable quiet room
Excellent location. Room and bathroom were adequate for our needs. Breakfast was very good with a very good range of food on offer. Not a bad place to stay but as with most Italian hotels we stayed in, I wonder how they achieved a 4 star rating. A couple of dismissive and unhelpful front office staff. No restaurant. Couldn't get a cup of coffee at the bar unless we paid cash, ie. couldn't put it on the bill for the room. And just plain closed one night. We thought we might get a last minute ticket to the Opera but travelling, our clothes were crushed. Could we borrow an iron? No, fire regulations forbid it. OK, fair enough. Did they have an ironing room? No. Could they arrange to have our clothes pressed? No, it's Sunday, bring them down tomorrow? That'll be handy for the Opera tonight. Whole hotel was overheated and could not be cooled because "it was November and the air conditioning is turned off in October and heating turned on". Fortunately the windows opened, even if it was occasionally noisy.
Having a room that overlooked the canal allowed for the unique ability to observe the busy canal crossings and food market business from above. The room was very comfortable and sound-proof, and the hotel had an excellent placement for shops and sightseeing.
Official, serious atmosphere, but courteous reception, neat & very well dressed receptionists, and appropriate attire of other staff, well decorated entrance of the hotel; restaurant ambiance very good, chef very good food, staff friendly, elaborate choice in breakfast, rooms were very comfortable and spacious, luxurious bathroom & spa. Reception desk staff- could be more friendly and eager to help, should have spent more friendly time to orientate the guests, and take extra time to explain the facilities available--they had a more reserved attitude, didn't see openness. Could have more choices in the dinner menu.
The central location. Friendliness and efficiency of staff. Had to pay for use of tea and coffee bags in the room.
views of venice and again very nice hotel and staff
The Foscari Palace was a wonderful hotel right on the Grand Canal. We had a lovely room with complimentary water and fruit bowl and incredible breakfasts in the morning. The hotel staff were really friendly and on the Saturday night there was a free cocktail evening with drinks, nibbles and a harpist. There is a gondolar ferry stop right outside the hotel, so very easy and cheap to cross the canal. When we revisit Venice, we will always stay at the Foscari Palace, it really made our holiday very special. Not applicable
Apparently an old German consulate building... An excellent location on the Grand Canal, two steps from Ca d'Oro vaporetto stop. Very comfortable room with a private patio... No view from the room- but who cares - just go up to the roof terrace and have a drink admiring one of the best views in Venice. Friendly staff... Good brieckfast.. Good choice. Almost nothing - just a few bulbs and bits and pieces in the room need to be taken care of.
Easy to find, good facilities, good price, breakfast is really good. Room is a little bit dark. No wifi in the room.
Location, cleanliness, breakfast variety, helpful and friendly staff
The Space and comfort of the rooms Breakfast could have been better
The standard of the hotel and its location suited us perfectly
excellent room (although upgraded), very nice position, nice and helpful staff. Breakfast a bit modest, especially the coffee.
Did not get a room facing the main canal. Beware that when you book they may put you in a room not facing the canal
The staff was very polite. The room was quite good and clean. The bathroom was also very comfortable. The location is also quite good. In general should stay that this hotel is a good value for money. The problem was that the receptionist was speaking only very poor english and some members of the staff didn't speak english at all, so it was really hard to communicate with them sometimes. The breakfast could be better and isn't good the fact that is served strictly between 08.30-10.30.
It is a clean place, adequate room, nice shower, good location, good breakfast. The place was very difficult to find, no hotel sign.
i liked the mood of the rooms, the clenliness and the location.
The room was amazing, had really nice features like the view over the rooftops and wooden beams, was nice and cosy. The staff were very friendly and helpful
great location, very convenient and easy to find.the rooms where comfortable clean and spacy enough.the staff was very friendly and helpful poor breakfast and really noisy breakfast room starting from 8 in the morning it wakes you up!!
Very friendly staff, nice location, clean spacious room
The staff was just impeccable . The rooms are lovely. Breakfast was nice. Nothing.
Hotel staff are very nice and patient, and ready to help you. The first night I experienced some unknow noisy in the hotel room, but the hotel staff was very helpful to switch me to another room which made me feel much much better.
Good location, well maintained, good breakfast choice. Very quiet. Small room and bathroom. Cramped beakfast room. No coffee/ tea making facilities. No bar or restaurant. As ever in Venice, it's not good value for money.
Hotel was very close to San Marcos Square but just far enough off the beaten path that you don't get mauled by the cruise ship crowd. Has a cute shared balcony overlooking a side canal, perfect for a baguette snack, bottle of wine and people watching as the gondola's pass by. Staff was very helpful as well.
very central, very helpful staff and very clean
We had a wonderful accomodation at Hotel Becher. The room was all Venetian design, with a view at the canal. The service was excellent and the staff really helpful. The hotel is located at a 3 min walk from the La Fenice Theatre, a 6 min walk from San Marco, and 7 min walk from the Rialto Bridge. I totally recommend this hotel. Also us will go back there when we go again to Venice.
good breakfast selection and very helpful staff wifi does not work in the room
Extremely friendly reception and general helpfulness of staff over city matters, internet access and general matters Nothing I did not like!
Staying at the Hotel Becher was like staying with family. You felt the warmth from the moment you arrived. They went above and beyond to assist us. Anna and her staff were only too happy to help and suggested a great restaurant to stay in. Our two rooms were very large and faced the canal. I just can't fault this hotel. We have travelled alot and require two rooms. This is the only time we have been given rooms together in all our years of travelling. The decor is beautiful, the breakfast included certainly met my family's needs and we were not left feeling hungry or disappointed. Thank you Anna for a wonderful stay at your hotel which made the experience of Venice that much more special.
Excellent location, quet in the evening but very close to main attractions. Breakfast could have been a bit more varied, but okay.
This is very nice little hotel in a very quiet area of Dorsoduro near to the ferry stop at the Salute. We had a large room with bathroom in the Annexe this time. Some years ago we stayed in the main hotel. The dining room is open for lunch and dinner and the inclusive breakfast was good. We would certainly stay again. It is not expensive by Venice standards. There was nothing to dislike about the Messner.
for a family there were 4 proper beds lighting in room was very poor - needed air conditioning - free internet access would have been nice
the view, the courtyard air conditioner didn't work-night staff wasn't helpful in getting it to work
It was very easy to find - very clean
Everything was OK They have to do something against mosquito like blu light or net on the windows
Close to water bus
The position of the hotel in the city and the breakfast. The shower tub had a bad drain
Restaurant meals were good. Availability of a drink after getting lost for hours. Quiet at night. No blind on my room. Neither TV nor safe worked - if I had wanted to use them. If not for being fortunate to find a 'local' in the street - it was after dark, I would not have been able to find the hotel after the trip on the Water Bus.
very convenient to train station staff very helpful and courteous great value
Confortable rooms, sanitory, awsomeness Good
Location relative to the train station was great. Hotel staff was very helpful. Very quiet room.
Room very clean and confortable. Good Breakfast and friendly staff
the staff was very kind. none
Friendly, family-run hotel Breakfast starts a bit later than I would like, but this wasn't a problem in practice.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
good location near station.
The rooms are adorable and full of modern day amenities which can sometimes be hard to find when traveling in Europe. The hotel is almost directly across from the train station and there is a great restaurant on the corner for the weary traveler! Just wonderful!
convinence and safety It was noisy in night because my room was near the road.
When u look at this hotel from outside u see it like one of venice typical building but from inside its very trendy and luxurious. The decor is amazing. The room we had was very comfortable and spacy and the bathroom was very spacy and clean. Plus the hotel is close to guglie station waterbus to airoport. The morning breaskfast was superbe :) The most thing i didnt like was the internet service. It was very slow!! However it wasnt that big problem coz we didnt use the internet a lot.
very peaceful, clean too very quiet in the bar in evenings, could not enjoy night in hotel, would have to venture out.could have been more of a choice i food for breakfast
Cleanliness, food, staff, bed, information source, location
The hotel was of a high modern standard. The rooms were well equipped although not large , were fine - although the views from the windows were not worth opening the shutters. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in a quite location around 15-20 minutes pleasant walk from St Marks Sq. A water bus stops just 2 mins walk from the hotel. (and goes to the Lido and all the Islands, as well as back to the Grand Canal in the other direction). The hotel did not have much "Venice" character. The pigeons in the courtyard were a real nuisance. They even landed on the tables and (although the staff cleaned up very quickly ) droppings were regular on the outside furniture.
It had large modern rooms in a quieter area of Venice with some lovely green space but still close enough to the tourist attractions of Venice.
Location. It is a bit far from the city centre and major attractions but still within walking distance.
The location of the hotel is fabulous, away from the craziness of the crowds and the nearby park is terrific, especially for kids.
Hotel was located out of the city centre of Venice which is away from the noise, and the room is nice roomy. We arrive very late on the day and the staff assist us on how to get to the hotel. The hotel is about 20 mins walk from St. Marco Square and 1 hr by ferry to Piazza Roma, therefore have to plan the time for travelling.
Location was good, rooms and bathrooms were good The reception staff were grumpy
The rooms were very large and nice for the price. The hotel is located a little over a mile from the Piazza San Marco which was totally feasible because you can walk along the water. We had a 1 year old in tow and it wasn't an issue for us. It was actually nice to be in a quiet area in the evenings. There were also a few parks near by which was great to allow our little one to run and play. The restaurant staff was friendly but the concierge and check-in staff were not so friendly or approachable as is to be expected from a person holding such position.
hotel was great in quiet location and close to boat stop so not far to carry any luggage. I did notice alot of people walking round venice with bags looking lost so great for finding the hotel
The staff was nice enough to say that they will take care of the complains and apologized. The breakfast had variety of food. The staff was nice enough to say that they will take care of the complains and apologized but it wasn't taken care of after all.
