Pros: Wow! The rooms are the old monks' accommodations in a big old monastery. Very atmospheric. You can wander around the monument all you want and the grounds are very nice, located on the side of a mountain with great views of the sierra.

Pros: Eclectic place with huge potential
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Imagine being able to stay in a medieval monsastery, in a peaceful and beautiful location in the foothills of the Sierra, surrounded by, walking through and sleeping in buildings that were built when Andalusia was Al-Andalus. It is family run, very friendly and interesting. It is not just a hotel, it is also a centre for artists to work, and the people who are running it are slowly preserving and renovating the monastery.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is an exceptional and fairly unique setting, extremely quiet with an astonishing set of ancient buildings to explore
Cons: With such a huge property to maintain, it seems something of a struggle to keep up with small repairs, but the few minor problems in no way spoiled our stay.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Outrageous, glorious, almost royal decoration. Very much one of a kind. Our room was equally decorated and had a wonderful little patio. All and all a stay to remember. The Sierra Norte as a fantastisch area. Cazalla de la Sierra is charming but quiet and not very happening. The one nice restaurant Augustina was unfortunately closed on Tuesday — the one evening we stayed in Cazalla.
Cons: The breakfast was nice but not as extraordinary as the hotel itself. They work with a list so you're required to check boxes on that list. Items like bacon, serrano ham and eggs are considered extra and come only at an extra cost.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful building, the communal areas as well as the bedrooms are just spectacular, really tasteful interior, a gorgeous patio (for the summer months) situated in a nice little village surrounded by lovely countryside! The bedroom was very comfortable, nice and warm in December, the bathroom luxurious! Wonderful place for a weekend stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Amazing former monastery built in the Sixteenth Century. Fantastic historical building full of artefacts. Staff nice and good breakfast. Room was huge with a massive bed and dounle bathroom. Close to the Abby and plaza in this beautiful town. Staying in a place like this is not for everyone but we enjoyed the experience.
Cons: Our room was down in the old crypt so not much natural light.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great and friendly crew! Phenomenal building and interior.
Cons: The coffee could be better.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely stunning location and interior, very peaceful. Friendly staff.
Cons: We only saw one member of staff (though she was really helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble) and the towels we a little small.
7.5 Good
Pros: The personnel is very cordial and helpful. The antiques are impressive—and fun!
Cons: They did not turn on the hot water in the morning, so we had to take COLD showers. The facilities and patio could stand sprucing up—cleaning, watering and fertilizing plants, thoroughly dusting/vacuuming furniture and fixtures.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This not a hotel for people who expect perfection, it is however a palace which should not be missed! My wife was reduced to tears of amazement when she saw the treasures abounding at every turn. The staff will bend over backwards to make your stay a memory you will never ever forget.
Cons: At first I wasn't sure what I had let us in for, but 10 minutes later I new I was going to earn brownie points!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a basic, but clean 2 star hotel, situated about 7 mins drive from the local town. The hotel is run by two sisters who are very friendly, and accommodating. The rooms had air con. The Wi Fi was hit and miss in room 10. We did not have breakfast, but it was a very basic buffet style breakfast. There is a small bar, and you can ring the bell if you want a drink when the bar is unattended. For those who wish to use the pool- Strange hours- It closes between 3.00 and 5.00 There are only 2 taxis in town, so it's best to order in advance if you need one. We were here for a wedding nearby, and this hotel served it's purpose. Good value for money.
Cons: Better Wi Fi.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff pleasant enough. Nice authentic/rustic building.
Cons: Hotel a little run down. Could do with flat screen tv in room. Internet power poor. Seemed a little early to close swimming pool for the winter....still 30 something degrees C.
7.0 Good
Pros: Carmen the owner very friendly. Beds comfortable. Good shower. Air conditioning efficient and effective.
Cons: Seating around the pool could have been better. No area to sit at night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly ladies of staff
Cons: Beds were uncomfortably rigid, and the rooms were noisy
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a lovely trip cycling the via verde, relaxing in the refreshing pool after a hot day and a nice walk into the town for really great food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcoming: nice and friendly people.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: Nothing worked No food available Cash only Fly’s looked happy though Seemed as if it was in liquidation STAY AWAY FOLKS
6.3 Good
Pros: This hotel is very clean and the staff super-helpful. Nice pool area with good shower facilities etc. Nice views over the local area.
Cons: Breakfast options are limited. Dining area functional, but a little uncomfortable. No lift.
4.3 Okay
Pros: The room was large, so was the bathroom. The hotel lies in a very quiet part of Cazalla, 15mts on foot from the center of the village. It must be a good place to spend there some time in summer. NOT in winter, though.
Cons: We have never ever stayed at a colder hotel. The so called calefaccion (heating) is a very inefficient AC unit which is not able at all to warm the room. It might cool well but it does not heat the room at all. We were freezing the first night. The two following nights were better thanks to another blanket. It was warmer outside than inside. The village lies in the mountains, thus the days and nights are cold. Such a hotel with such a bad "heating" should be closed all winter. It is unfair to charge 65 E for a night if one freezes all night.A huge discount would be the only right reaction. Actually, it was the only bad thing about our fantastic holiday in Cazalla and Andalusia. If you consider spending some winter days in CAzalla, look for a hotel with a good heating system. Otherwise you will need to sleep in a hat ...
