It was way nicer than we expected. Seemed like it had been renovated recently.
Nope. It was the greatest place ever.
Reasonable price, good location, adaquate breakfast
Faint odor in room, possibly pet related.
Everything in the room seemed new.
About $20 too expensive.
Location, location, location. Also the staff was very helpful.
Ac didn't work. Room way tiny for price. Reception staff were jerks.
Pool closed......Not very helpful upfront ......
Our Stay at El Rey was really enjoyable. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. Our only complaint was we were on a different time than Utah and when we wanted to take swim the swimmming pool was locked up.
Rooms were very clean and updated. Reasonable rates along with an easy to find location made this an enjoyable venue. The fresh waffles at b-fast didn't hurt either
Only stayed for one night; not long enough to find a complaint.
The room was called a king suite deluxe but only had a king sized bed and a small desk w 2 chairs. The suite deluxe makes it sound special but it was an average room. My family didn't fit the room.
The front desk person was very nice and remembered my name.
The first room was dirty, so I was given a different one. I was right next to the street--very noisy with very little privacy. The bed was the smallest 'queen' sized bed I've ever seen. In most places it's called a double. Schmaltzy.
The room was spacious and clean.
The heater was not working. Would have been nice to have had extra blanket in room. Brought it to attention, they apolligized saying the breaker had tripped and it would be working again in about an hour, as we were checking out in the morning.
The hotel was clean and modern.
Nothing to note
Friendly staff, and the breakfast was great
The heater in the room would not shut off. Had to sleep with the door and windows open. The refrigerator was broken and spilled stinky water all over the floor trying to repair. The pool looked inviting, but it was padlocked shut. Ice Machine Broken
The location being downtown in the Historic District.
My GPS did not take me to the hotel. It took me to a church 20 miles south of Cedar City in a different town.
Hotel was clean and easily accessible. Hotel staff was very cordial.
Television options were terrible. The remote was broken.
The woman at the front desk was kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. She allowed us early check-in and had some great travel advice for us! The room was newly renovated and very clean. I loved the big picture-window in the room!
The exterior color of the room doors, (bright teal), made me worried that we were going to walk into a real dive. I was pleasantly surprised to see the update inside. I highly recommend changing the colors of those for to reflect the classy room inside.
Pleasant personnel, guaranteed late arrival, contl breakfast, clean, handy, on Main road
Very convenient for where we were visiting.
Cold tile floors instead of carpet. A fairly loud 4-wheeler cleared the prior-day's snow from the parking lot early Sunday morning, waking us up.
Room was big spacious
Breakfast was fair, hot water or cold water no happy medium in the shower. Parking is tight
Great price, very clean. Had refurbished room in nov., 14, friendly staff. One maid talked with us for several minutes. Fromt desk staff told us about a scenic drive up cedar breals canyon
It is a tiny bit removed from intwrstate, but not too bad.
Very large room.
The room wasn't cleaned. Probably not at all. Personal items left, dirty toilet, someone had been on bed, coffee in coffee maker and in a left over cup, trash still in garbage.
Newly remodeled decor, very comfortable bed.
A/C did not work on an unexpected hot day followed by heater not working that night. Elevator did not work on morning of checkout. Continental breakfast did not include scrambled eggs or sausage/ham.
Nice enough. No bedbugs.
Falling on the ice that was everywhere and not salted or shoveled.
The room was clean and nice. It appeared to have been recently updated. The central location is a plus. The staff was very accommodating to our requests. They were remodeling other rooms; but it didn't impact us.
The elevator near our room was very slow. The ice machine near our room was out of order and appeared to have been that way for some time.
Staff was friendly.
When I got to the hotel they only had 1 of our 2 rooms available. Was very subpar facility. Not dirty, but old, outdated and run down.
The room was a one-bedroom suite.
Not a very good breakfast, room was very outdated, was charged an upgrade fee for my 6 year old daughter to have her own bed.
closely located with reference to the Shakespeare Festival
heating and cooling system not by individual rooms--our room was 85 degrees and we were told to open a window and crack the door
Room smaller than my closet extremely small and Iean small
The air conditioner was inoperative (opened the door at midnight to let cool air in so I could sleep as cold air was not blowing through unit). Construction ('remodeling')in AM: breakfast room was filled with workers at 8:30 AM - I couldn't sit down.
Free continental breakfast and make your own waffles!
The thermostat's where all grouped together. There was no way to control the temperature in your own room. We had the room set to AC at 68 degrees at night and woke up to the heater turned on and 80 degrees in our room!
Great Location and wonderful breakfast options !!
Remodeling and missing dresser with drawers for clothes, towel rack in bathroom and full length mirror.
The fact that the room totally smelled like smoke- the hotel shut off the air conditioning oct 1, so even though it was 90f when we were there, we had no air conditioning available. Breakfast was meager, and the hottub doesnt work.
Nothing, it was a 60 year old motel in the middle of a full construction project. We had a finished room and the floor was on a slant and the room was so small you could not put your suite case anywhere but the bed.
There was nothing good about the place, construction materials everywhere and they banged away from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Also the wifi did not work in the room, but did work in the lobby which we could not go in because it was closed for a new floor.
Room was filthy, along with hair and nail clippings.
Very much in need of total renovation .... of everything.
Cool location. Very friendly staff.
The room was TINY.
The housekeeping and front desk staff were absolutely wonderful!
The room. The bathtub re-glazing was peeling. There was a non functional vent in the bathroom. The chairs had visible stains. The light switch to the bathroom was outside the bathroom. The bathroom was the same size as the closet. Not rated appropriate
The staff were friendly and helped as best as they could.
The hotel did not meet the standards that I would feel is a 2.5 star hotel, and it did not compare to the other 2.5 star hotels in the area.
The extremely nice hotel clerk who tried to check us in.
The place was a dump! They are in the midst of a remodel, however, so it should look better in the future. The door to our room would not even open so the clerk tried to kick it in. It didn't work. So, we got a free upgrade to the Stratford Court.
