Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant first rate and attentive service. A superb location if you want to visit the Millau viaduct information centre. Beautiful restoration of this old templar town.
The clerk didn't speak any English only French but we managed through gestures, the same when checking out. We've lived overseas for 5-6 years and can figure it out even if the staff doesn't speak our language.
It is a small, but a pleasant and very clean hotel. It has also a restaurant, which we haven't tried. We loved the location too; La Cavalerie is a very small Middle Age village on an arid plateau quite fascinating.I would recommend it. The buffet breakfast is ok, but quite basic.
It was useful to be so close to the motorway and the Millau Bridge. We had a meal in the restaurant which cost 83 euros, my steak was inedible and chewy and there was a hair in my sauce. I complained but was still made to pay for a meal I did not eat, disgusting, yuk!!!
we chose the hotel because it was convenient for an overnite stop and we were delighted with our choice. We were made welcome and the patron was helpful in arranging a table in the excellent restaurant even though it was very busy. The service was attentive and the meal was lovely, the whole experience was beyond our expectations for a budget hotel. Recommended. Nothing I can remember.
The ambiance of the establishment and the flexibility of being able to eat there if one wanted to.
the location and the staff super friendly and helpful shower had large damp patch in ceiling - should be sorted by the owner!
Style and Design features
the style was impeccable.wonderful setting.beautiful furnishings.large rooms noise of roads.this is everywhere in france. restaurant full both nights we tried to book.
Friendly and helpful staff, high quality fitout with excellent amentity. na
The hotel is a well kept secret. If it hadn't been for a recommendation from a friend, I doubt we would hve picked is as a place to stay during our short visit to the South West.. The building has been buitifully and sympathetically restored and converted into a hotel without losing its historic charm. We felt very "at home" and would not hesitate to return if we visit the area again. An excellent location from which to visit Bezier and Montpellier. The rooms would beneift from air conditioning.
We liked the quietness. Easy stop for the night over, not far away from the highway. no airco, no view
Helpful and friendly staff. Room clean and comfortable n/a
Helpful and friendly staff. Close to the high way and good for one night stay (We stayed 8 nights). Sober, not cozy room. Simple breakfast. Mould in the bathroom. No cupboard or drawers for luggage.
The village. The room was not clean, There was mold behind the curtains and dust in the corners. There was no view from the window. The bathroom had no apparent extractor fan and so held the damp. Not enough towels for the number of guests in the room. Badly planned layout of soap dispenser. The food in the evening was average to poor.
The room was quiet - no traffic noise. The breakfast was typical continental and sufficient. Supermarket and post office opposite.Good shower with plenty of room. Cheap. The room was in an annex and without a view. No air conditioning - uncomfortable in warm weather. Room level walkway made it unsafe to leave window open. Reception closes at 9.00pm
Bed linen was clean. Very basic, shower area mouldey grouting.
The Hotel is very affordable, and nicely located for Larzac plateau and is locally very convenient for the (few) facilities that Le Caylar has to offer. The breakfast (extra charge) was very adequate and the staff helpful. The hotel is classified 2 star and is actually a motel. The rooms are not well maintained - there were numerous things broken (shower mount, bedside light, hairdryer) and smelt damp on entry.
Beds were clean, hotel was easily accessible from motorway. Not enough parking, pin code didn't work, you had to call a number left on the door and were given the room access number over the phone. Rooms were very dated.
Owner was lovely and made sure we we ok None
Well despite 2010 Michelin and being a Logis and it's 3 stars - the stars are tarnished, Michelin were dozing and Logis need to visit again. The room was ok with a tiny bed however ther service at diner was awful as was the 'Michelin food' so much so they did not charge us for it due to the chaos in the kitchen. So not a lot to lik about this Hotel, oh and the Madame does not know the word sorry??? We could have been a one off - I don't think so the food service was terrible and the actual food when we got it after an hour and 10 wait was not what we ordered, cold and very poor quality.
Nice old style Hotel with character if a little run down. Rooms were tired but functional. Free WiFi a good feature.
Food in restaurant was good Quite a long way off the autoroute. Not particulary clean
Good location; easy to find. Staff very welcoming. Excellent restaurant, but a bit pricey. The bedroom was disappointing; just a shower 'cabin'; not a proper bathroom.
