The hotel was a cosy place to stay especially at this time of year (November). Once off the coast path or a days touring you can stay in and relax with all facilities available. Although I was upgraded to a double room, the room was smaller than i expected.
Good clean and friendly Tv in the room was old and had no remote control(or scart socket for the digi box I take with me)
Comfortable, friendly, good food
A lovely single room with all the facilities necessary. Very clean and tidy. The Car Park was a little tight for access
Staff were brilliant and went out of their way to accommodate us, even giving us a lift to the train station as there were no buses on a Sunday! Evening meal was a little expensive for what it was.
The breakfast and the staff were faultless, courteous and most helpful at all times. The rooms were also faultless, although not luxury they were very comfortable and immaculately clean. The hotel was quite noisy on occasion (my room was above the bar) and during my stay I experienced each night the "local teenage culture" racing through the village at silly times in the morning which I did not quite expect from such a small village.
friendly helpful staff,comfortable rooms.
Clean, friendly with superb food. The british weather of late!!!!!
The pleasant atmosphere, the excellent food, comfortable beds, the location to the beach.warm friendliness of the staff.
The breakfasts are very good, the staff easy to talk to/with.Well worth the money. Breakfast 8-9am. Still, it gets you out.
Hot water tap in room was not working - reported and told someone would be up in 15 minutes - never saw anyone.
All staff very friendly and made my stay enjoyable I was looking to leave early in the morning but no staff were available until breakfast staff arrived. No staff available overnight.
The room was decorated to a high standard very clean and comfortable. Staff were very attentive and polite. Food was excellent. Location perfect for local beaches. None
Enjoyed all. Great food wonderful room. n/a
Fantastic location, attention to detail, en suite rooms to a very high standard, welcoming, friendly helpful staff, and good food. Breakfast was to a very high standard. The whole experience was better than some UK 5 star hotels.
Very impressive decor and design, particularly in the bedrooms food and service good - pleasant staff None really - plain yoghurt needed for breakfast!
Well decorated romms, bar + resturant - pleasant staff - central for most site seeing None
Staff were friendly, rooms. both bed rooms and public rooms were very comfortable and the food was excellent.....we had a lovely stay on the island and would stay at the seacroft again.....the emphasis was on comfort and good food, the portions were enormous too!!! Would have like a bath not just a power shower, to be able to have twin bed option as travelling with family, and the bar closed a little early for us and cos we ate late, we weren't offered sweets.......couldn't have ate them mind, but would have been nice to be offered
being with my wife and the food on bath
The food was excellent. A good quiz night too. The room was too hot at night. No guest lounge.
The hotel is great. The room was clean with huge bath. The place is very quiet. The food was excellent and the staff was very helpful.
Nice hotel, nice grounds Very difficult to find - sign posting on roads needs to be improved! Expensive and the room I was given was smaller than I would have liked
Stunning location, food, facilities, what more can I say. Lots if I had the space.
The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful - particuliry in the clock house resteraunt. The hotel had some very good facilities and is in a peaceful location. The hotel in very old fashoined in parts. The reception area and old dining rooms might be trying to give the impression of a traditional old country house but I just found this to be actually just a bit sort of dark and cold. Arriving at 3.30 pm, an hour and a half after the possible check in time - the rooms were not ready - not particularily good - although the staff were apologetic.
Swimming pool and gym Food at the spa was poor
Relaxed atmosphere within a spectacular countryside estate setting.
Quiet, comfortable room. Very comfortable, peaceful and attractive public rooms Nothing
Nice setting, lots of character, we were well looked after Unable to get access to Spa treatments once we'd checked in (need to book well in advance)
Spa food better value than hotel and better opening hours cost of hotel food
We were upgraded to a four poster on arrival with no extra cost incurred and the food and service in the restaurant and clock tower was fantastic. The view from our bedroom window could have been better and the toilet flush did not work very well.
the staff were fantastic and went out of the way to make us feel welcome i would recommend this hotel
The friendly service, very attentive. The food was excellent. We sent our compliments to the chef whilst we were there The bed was too hard. I did not sleep very well at all.
lovely setting; staff were genuinely kind and friendly. Parking was a problem. The lot was double-parked and we ended up in a public lot nearby. Also, the ground floor rooms were subject to a lot of overhead conversations, some regarding the double-parking situation!
Helpful friendly staff, good restaurant, off street parking.
Due to a family emergency I was unable to stay more than 1 hour at the hotel but the staff where helpful and friendly I would have no problem with staying at the hotel again or recommending it to friends and family
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious. The bar was lovely. Convenient WiFi thoughout. The heating was broken at the time; although the provided radiator did a good job heating the room, the bathroom was still freezing. The bathroom was also only half painted and in need of refurbishment. Still perfectly functional, however.
Beautiful room, well furnished, spacious, quality bathroom fittings. Rooms are in a courtyard behind the main pub/hotel building. Convenient location in middle of town with parking spaces directly outside rooms. We didn't use the restaurant for dinner or breakfast. Clock tower outside front of hotel chimes every 15 minutes throughout the night. Crazy idea! Pub is a bit of a downbeat local.
The room was spacious and newly refurbished, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The dining room was large, cold and a bit old fashionned and breakfast would have been even nicer with help yourself cereal/fruit/yoghurt, not just boxes or sachets of cereal.
central to town, handy for any shopping , round the corner from a superstore, friendly staff.
Location was convenient for our needs, and food was very good Lack of heating in bathroom and single glazing meant road works starting outside the hotel at 7.30 am on Sunday morning was annoying
The rooms were good and the bar facilities and evening meal /dining room was good . The manager needs some educating in running an hotel . the 2 under managers were excerllent , some of the other staff were not trained very well. But that was down to the manager .
Quiet and well run hotel. More comfotable seating in bar area.
Very nice modern rooms, very friendly staff and nice food.
The friendly atmosphere and the cleanliness of the rooms. Also we enjoyed looking round the equastrian centre. Near to beautiful beach None
breakfast very good with interesting orange juice machine!!!!, good views and friendly pet dog "Molly" staff slightly disorganized at evening meal but hotel only opened recently
The screeching of chairs from the bar and restaurant could be heard very loudly in the bedrooms above these areas. The main building is not the place to stay if you want a good nights sleep. The hotel is very like a travel lodge, with people staying for one night before catching the early morning ferry to Ireland. The loud clanging of internal doors from 5 in the morning as guests started leaving was very annoying. Due to alterations in the kitchen the menu was very limited, same soup on consecutive days and one meal was sent back as it was inedible
Recepion staff were very helpful and pleasant. The downside about being in the family room was it was below the bar, lots of chair scraping and heels clicking above disturbed the children late on.
Lovely very modern restaurant and bar area. Great for equestrians. Great views from the upstairs rooms, with a grand balcony. Generally the food was excellent.Overall a really nice hotel generally it was all fine.
We chose this hotel for the disabled facilities which were very good. Although the staff were very friendly and apologetic the service in the restaurant for breakfast and evening was poor and the evening meals although neither bad nor good were not very inspiring or good value.Good choice for breakfast was let down by the service.
Friendly staff, excellent food, chef approachable when asked for something slightly different to menu. Unique hotel, where else can you watch showjumping whilst having breakfast! Lovely! Didn't find any
We liked the good clean spacious room and the friendlyness of the staff also the good food all cooked on the premises with generous portions the fact that your breakfast was served to you at your table.
Food was very good value
We were on cycling holiday and were welcomed with our bikes which were very safely stored. Staff very helpfull and food excellent value for money. Nice position and great attention to guests needs. Nothing bad exceeded our expectations.
It was a nice small hotel but the bathroom ws a bit dirty. The food was excellent Bathroom
Pleasant atmosphere. Good food. Comfortable. Check in. Access to room on 1st floor via stairs.
Poor ecor Cramped. Very poor meal. Slovenly staff
Good point was they allowed me check in after midnight. Shower didn't work properly and was totally unsatisfactory - could have caused an accident as it went from boiling to cold to stopping to suddenly starting back to boiling without
The Ambience and friendliness of the staff and value for money
A great few nights, warm and friendly staff with a great atmousphere, will be booking again soon.
Friendly, welcoming operator. Basic no frills room but fine for stopover before catching early morning ferry to Dublin. We were able to have an early continental breakfast on request. Small bathroom and shower was a little dirty.
Great proximity to hiking trails, town, and the ferry. Also, excellent breakfast, thoughtful staff, and comfortable bed. I would suggest that they repair the shower in the "family" facility as quickly as possible and remove the "roll-away" bed unless it is needed...it takes us a great deal of the small space.Tighten the toilet to the floor...a bit disconcerting when it moves beneath you!
tea coffee and biscuits in room good breakfast.
It was very clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
Cute facility and rooms. Great breakfast. Small bathroom. Only street parking.
Convenience to Ferry No ground floor bedrooms
Nearness to ferry 5 mins checkout is 10am not great when ferry was 2pm had 3 small children thought we would be able to pass time till ferry in room with tv baby 6 months included
Our host was very friendly. Good restaurants were non existent.
nearness to ferry
Easy to find, had wi fi, Facilities very small, especially with two children, beds weren't very comfortable, no one was there when we arrived, a note to go across the street to get someone to let us in, breakfast pretty poor even for cereal and tea
helpful advice about my visit to seeing Wales
Excellent food, great room, friendly staff, everything was perfect!
relaxed informal pleasnt staff good food the room was a bit small and could not get tv to work
Staff very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Beautiful room - although a bit cold. Quiet location
Very friendly staff. Good dinner.
Attitude of staff. Food.Dog friendly.
Comfortable room, the family suite was spacious and afforded privacy. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The helpfulness of the staff Bit isolated really
After a very long and difficult journey it was a pleasure to arrive at this hotel The only thing i did not like is that i was only there for one night
food was excellent hotel was lovely i wood recommend to anyone.
This is a restaurant with rooms. The food was excellent as was the service.
The advertised Internet connection did not work.
a little gem,but dont tell anyone,or they will all go
Rural location, very close to A55 and ammenities to local village not too far away.Proprietors allways on hand and wellcoming.
A lovely building. Each member of staff was charming and we loved the cosy bar/lounge area for meeting before dinner and drinks after. The evening meal was delicious in a pleasant but not over decorated dinind room. Good choice for breakfast. Disappointed that even on a Sunday morning breakfast was until only 9 o'clock - having eaten a lovely meal the previous evening I would have preferred to wait a minimum of another half hour. The sloping roof in the bathroom was pretty but meant that there was no possibility of standing up for a shower in the bath and the bath was narrow with no bar or grip so I would have felt it a bit unsafe. Couldn't find a shaver socket
everything was good,pleasant staff,great location
Really attractive buildings and comfortable rooms. Excellent location for access to Holyhead Ferry. Warm anda welcoming. Sat nav offers complicated route especially in bad weather. Call hotel for directions.
position difficult to find
Owners very friendly and helpful.
I chose it for its proximity to the Anglesey Race Circuit which is only 10 minutes away. It was warm and comfortable
