The Hotel is in a very good place to explore the Dolomites. Very safe property and friendly without being intrusive. The Hotel itself is quite a long way from the town we understood it to be in.
the stuff was great: helpful and very nice. the room was very clean and decor of the hotel is nice little bit pricey
The area around the hotel Not enough opportunity for eatting
The room was so clean and the lines smelled so fresh and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly Would have been nice to have a restaurant within the hotel, but, they did have a bar and there was a restaurant right across the street, so it wasn't too inconveniencing.
Beautiful, well-kept hotel. Very helpful staff. Great restaraunt recommendations.
very nice hotel they have a nice Puzzaria near thr hotel
The room was spacious and the down quilts were luxurious. A good pizza/pasta restaurant next to the hotel. A bit far from cross-country skiing centres, but near enough from several of them.
The hotel has been recently nenewed, has large room and a modern and well designed wellness section (without pool). Internet connection is free, staff has been friendly and helpful. The location is poor, in a rather dark and closed section of the valley; the lake is about 1 km away and is not visible from the hotel. The window of our room was located above a camping, not the best view for a mountain hotel.
Very friendly staff - family run hotel. Very nice wellness facility. Although only breakfast available, only few steps from a pizzeria, where you can have a simple buit a good meal (not only pizza) for a special (discount) price. The location is a little bit outside of the centre. But with a car no problem. Probably also bus available (did not check).
the rooms are large and well furnished. we had great view of the mountains from the windows and balcony. The Ristorante-Pizzeria near by gives the hotel guests 10% discount
The willingness of the staff to go out of their way to be of service and their smiling faces. A fan (ventilator) in the room ( a very small double occupancy room) would have been more than welcome as the weather was a bit hot for a mountain resort (and a lakeside location). Also, the breakfast buffet could feature a wider choice of items, especially in the cold meats area and eggs should be available, either scrambled or boiled.
the staff was very polite, the food (dinner) was good and we liked the breakfast. We stayed there only for one night, so we can˙t say anythin else.
nice wellcome, worm place
I booked this hotel as part of a 13 stop, European road trip. This is one of the more difficult hotels to review, as we arrived late after a long day's driving and my experiences maybe tainted a bit. The hotel is situated in a beautiful, mountainous location which would be a great base for a walking holiday. As this was the most expensive hotel we booked on our trip, I had hoped for something special. But the rate may be a fair price for what looked like a expensive area. I was disappointed that although I requested a twin room we were given a double. We also had difficulty finding the hotel as it is not in Rocca Pietore itself.
We recommend this hotel. We had a nice, big room with a balcony and a good view. Breakfast was good. Dinner was included which was four courses: salad, soup, entree and dessert. We stayed two nights; the salad, soup and dessert were good both nights, the entree was good one night, not too good the other. But overall a good deal, and we were very happy to get the meal after a full day in the Dolomites. The hotel is modestly hard to find so have your maps and directions ready. We found that 30 km in the Dolomites easily took an hour to drive, so if you know which area you prefer, try to stay in a hotel that is convenient to your desired activities. If Rocca Pietore suites your plans, this is a good hotel.
lovely peaceful location good bedrooms we'd booked half-board, were the only ones eating on a Saturday evening in late June - could it be that others knew that the waiter had trined at Faulty Towers?
