Location Shower in new rooms is pretty cramped. Waiters not always friendly but reception people very nice. Breakfast only till 9.30 am
Positioning of the hotel - very nice and quiet place. Exterior of hotel- very interesting and nice design. Permanent breakfast menu every day during whole stay - quality was very good but nothing to choose.
We paid extra for a room with sea view and balcony but was presented a room without. After some discussion we got a room with balcony but no sea view.
Convenience for visiting northern Scicily and Cefalu in particular
They were very accomodating.
10 mn walk from the beach in a nice residential area far from the center of cefalu, 5 km, only 4 buses a day to go to the center (in october) and the last one left at 6 30 pm from cefalu.
Staff were off-hand, breakfast was poor.
Nothing really, it's nothing to comment but alot of things we did not like it is much overpriced, very small rooms, npoiy and no view
We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. The hotel is situated in a quiet area and we loved the pool and garden under the olive trees. The room was small but the balcony/patio with a view of the sea and the sunset made our stay more enjoyable and romantic. We will recommend this hotel for a romantic stay for couples. Extra charge for beach towels. The beach is somewhat crowded.
The pool and garden area were very good and we enjoyed our breakfast that was delivered to our room. The bathroom was fine, but I do think the room is in need of being modernised and we had to share our terrace with the guests in the next room.
the location is good and the pool is massive. the staff at the reception was ok, good english and polite. the house-keeping staff kept the room clean. Price for the hotel is 5star however the quality is hardly 3star. the rooms are horribly outdated with stains on walls and linens, wobbly beds, awful colour of walls, tiny TV, smelly cuboards, etc...the breakfest room is similarly unattractive and tacky. all in all the hotel could have been OK, say, 30 years ago but apparently no investments since then. for 160 eur/night I would expect something much better. the hotel is not a value for money at all, never again.
The weekly fish dinner in the restuarant. (Only time we ate there) No front on the shower - reported but nothing was done- hence floor got wet with every shower and there was nowhere to put the soap in the shower. No lampshade on the bedside lamp - having one would have have been a lot better than looking at a bare bulb.
All of it! Exceptional value for money
The breakfast is better, than in 3 stars and 4 stars hotels.
Location, pool in summer and breakfest buffet ( from 7 more or less the same price level hotels in Sicily it was the best) was very good. Rooms need renovation, very uncomfortable.
The breakfast was dreadful, the coffee was supplied by a machine!
The starting rate is too high (200€), therefore the final reduction to 90€ per room is not a bargain at all once you see the site and especially the rooms. The rooms are smelly, the beds are like from a dorm, the wall-colours are terrible and there is no picture anywhere. Not really value for money.
liked location terrible smell of sewage in bathroom which we complained about twice but they said it was due to outside drainage
great location, excellent parking room darkening inadequate
The hotel is close to the sea and there is a sandy beach not far away. And there is a huge pool for swimmers! The coffee at breakfast - it was ugly. I hope they will get a new coffee machine or repair the old one!
breakfast was good, lobby decor is nice pool isn't heated, smell of sewage on first night
The location of the hotel, just outside the town and overlooking the sea is good, and the bar manager was particularly professional and welcoming. The location is blighted by the rail line alongside the hotel. Nowhere is this mentioned on the website and the trains thundered past our room every 20 minutes. The hotel is unkempt and in serious need of care and attention, and the waiters were rude. All in all an unpleasant, overpriced experience and we shall not be returning.
very expensive bar drinks served in very ordinary glasses(15 euros for two small beers and a kitchen glass of campari) Breakfast coffee in thermos flasks! the worsy coffee I have ever tasted anywhere in Italy
the peaceful relaxed atmosphere and the food was supberb they could not lend us an iron
For 350 Euro/night this hotel was terribly overpriced. Our suite was two small adjoining rooms dimly lit with only two straight back chairs to sit on.Overall I would not recommend this hotel at those prices.
Quiet, excellent view, nice beach area, nice room with balcony and sea view I would recommend anyone to choose room with balcony.
Location seems in need of a refurbishment
Wonderful location. Beautiful hotel with a great staff! The breakfast each morning was very well done with a lot of choices. The dinning room served very nice and healthy meals.
The beach facility was nice, even though it was away from the hotel. The breakfast service was really bad. We had to wait for 15 min. for a table, even though they were not occupied, and 4 waiters were in the room without cleaning the used tables......
Friendly staff and excellent leisure facilities Our first hotel room was unpleasant and smelled of poor drains. We were immediately moved and upgraded to a lovely room.
Hotel was a bit difficult to find but a very nice plkace Would go back there again
peaceful and quiet surroundings bathroom ok, but the shower was unbelieveably small...
Poor location, staff not very nice, not a nice atmosphere.
Quiet location and available parking. Breakfast was fun with an automatic coffee machine that produced an excellent cup of cappucino.
The pool was nice. It felt as though the staff had the attitude that I was inconveniencing them by staying in the hotel.
Good size, comfortable, and quite room with balcony. Car parking available (7 Euro). Relatively poor breakfast in basement room. Very steep walk from town.
Nice hotel. It's italian, so don't expect too much. There's about 10 parking spaces in the back for 7 euro a day or a few free spots in the front. The hotel is up on a hill, it's walking distance from everything as long as you don't mind the up hill hike to get back to the hotel. AC didn't get cool but it wasn't too hot in the room.
No elevator, very poor breakfast and pricy dinner
Nice hotel, about 15 minutes walk uphill from the town so maybe not for everyone. Excellent parking right outside the hotel. Breakfast very simple which is typical of Sicily in general. Probably the best reasonably priced hotel we stayed in.
Nice pool The hotel is situated on the steep hill - climbing every time to get back. Poor breakfast. They withdrew money for staying even before my arrival!
The view from the shared kitchen/place they served breakfast was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very nice. The free wifi was also useful. The b&b is in a lovely quiet location in the mountains. The only thing I would point out is that the b&b does not have a pool as described on the booking.com website. Also you definitely need a car to access this b&b unless you're very keen on hill walking!
From Canada, on a 3 week November trip through Italy we chose this hotel as it was near seaside Cefalu which we enjoyed seeing. The B&B was very memorable for us after some challenges finding it on GPS and some trepidation about climing the winding uphill road to this quaint county destination. The views were spectacular way up above Cefalu. The Internet was free and worked fine in our room. The breakfast was lovely and carefully prepared to suit our needs by our accommodating host. Arrive during daylight and make sure you have a GPS and good maps to find the roadways that lead you up to this charming hilltop spot.
Beautiful but remote location. Old building in rural setting. B&B sends an e-mail with detailed instructions. No staff in location in the evening so make sure to announce late arrival.
Good location .Friendly staff .Clean.
I loved the location, the B&B is set on a high hill a few kilometers from Cefalu, and the view is really stunning, especially from the terrace. I liked the atmosphere, the house was very nice, the room was cozy, bed was comfortable, we had a little balcony facing the courtyard, the bathroom was charming. The hostess (a lovely french woman) was extremely kind and helpful. We loved having the cats, kittens and dog around, all were so well behaved and cuddly. It is a short drive to Cefalu, which has nice architecture and a nice beach. The nearby village was left unexplored by us, except the local pizzeria, which had good, cheap pizzas. We were allowed to eat on the terrace at the B&B, enjoying the view with a cold beer. Excellent! I liked everything, but I still think the price is too high. 90 euros per night is asking too much. It is nothing wrong with the place, it is very nice, but we traveled through Sicily and stayed in several "agriturismo" of similar standard, where we paid the same price for half-board, giving us a rich breakfast (Saponara had in comparison a somewhat mediocre breakfast) and four courses of home-cooked dinner. Still, I would definitely recommend the Saponara, because we did have a really good stay there.
This was the worst experience with a hotel stay I have ever had - including adventures in china, vietnam, cambodia, indonesia, europe, and U.S. It was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with staff and management at any lodging anywhere in the world. Booking.com states that wireless internet is available "in the entire hotel." In fact it is only useable in the basement. Internet access is imperative in my travels and job related responsibilites - it is why I booked this hotel along with the location. When I had to leave after one night - which informed management of within an hour of arriving and after discovering that internet would not work in room as the booking.com confirmation indicated - I was told by management that paying for the one night was sufficient with no penalty applied. 4 days after I left they did an unauthorized charge for an additional night to my credit card. I returned to Cefalu, at their request to get a refund, and they refused when I got there.
Friendly staff in an excellent beachfront location with convenient walking distance access to historic center of Cefalu
Good location next to the beach and 5 minutes walk from the town. One of the noisiest hotels I've ever stayed in. Walls and doors paper thin and pipes extremely noisy.
Wonderful location and facility. Good breakfast. Bellman was great!
nice breakfast, balcony with ok view. friendly people, drove us into town, train station. miles away by car from town centre and beaches up winding road up hill. walking took 20mins up and down stairs. needed better signposting, hard to find.
Very nice staff and very good breakfast:) Room was not cleaned every day. Sheets were not changed only the bed was made. Bathroom very very small especially the shower cubicle.
Very hospitable. The whole family was involved and very nice. Spectacular view over the whole city and beach from the balcony. It was a little bit difficult to find it and maybe "easy access" is not entirely applicable since you have to climb 150 steps to get there on foot.
B&B full, so were given an apartment in the old town. Much more convenient
common bathroom, 2 very different rooms with the same rate
free using internet via WiFi (wlan), big room. Free Parking. Great vue from balkon over Cefalu, see and mountain. Free use of kitchen.
Very nice family and excellent breakfast.
Miko was very helpful & efficient
We stayed in a 3-bed room with a terrace having a magnificent view over the town and the sea. Short walking distance to restaurants in the old town and to the beach. Upslope and flight of stairs to the hotel. Kind and helpful personnel.
Location. Balconies back and front. Good staff.
The hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful , the view from the terazza is spectacular and the breakfast served at the piazza del Doumo is very nice. It is a very relaxing place to stay
Its location and the fridge in the room When we wanted to check in there was nobody at the hotel, we also had people banging on our door at 2 in the morning
Scenery view, value for money and excellent staff
Great location, room very clean and staff very helpful always ready to help us! We will come back definitely
Good location and relatively inexpensive comparitively. If you like basic then this is the place for you. But bring your own towels!!! The scaffolding that no-one mentioned beforehand, the lack of fresh towels or bed linen, the lack of staff in general.
Location in the historical town centre. A heavy smell, probbably from the the oil separator of the resturant down under, destroyed our first night. The personell denied any smell, but eventually agreed us to change room. Kitchen badly equipped. The so called breakfast was coffee and a sweet cake. It should not be allowed to be called B&B, since the last part was a joke. To expensive for its standards.
I would like to write my opinion in 3 language that more people can save themself from this ´hotel´ I liked nothing! Nic! Niente! The staff was very unfriendly and when I asked about help with my luggage he was very angry because he prefered to stay in the internet as always when I saw him.He never say hello to customers. The price was very high for such bad quality Bed and Breakfast it costed me the same as 4 stars hotel in Palermo which was very elegant and classy. The breakfast was in cafe in the main square but only a small cake!!!The room and bathroom was uncredibly small and dirty. They clean it only 1 time every 3 days!!!Incredible!!!I Had to use the same towel for 3 days! The computer for customer was broken so I couldn´t use internet! Da evitare! Do not go there! Omijac z daleka!!!
Clean and comfortable excellent view of the ocean from room Firstly the lack of staff plus the scaffolding which was not mentioned on booking also has three flights of steps with no elevator and very poor parking. We had to park all day on the beach front which cost a pretty penny then had to drag our cases from there to the hotel plus up all those steps. Quite a challenge as there was seven of us.
The room was very comfortable. Franco the owner was extremely helpful. The view was spectacular! The location was great. I would highly recommend. We stayed in six different places during our vacation through Southern Italy. This was our favorite and the least expensive.
Very little positive to say. Only the olympic swimming pool. Surroundings are not worth visiting. Much more intersting things to see in Sicily. Better avoid this neighbourhoood. Appartments are primitive, noisy (partymusic until late at night), not cosy at all an dhave a very chemical cleaning smell.
This was a good clean hotel. Very comfortable with good services. Breakfast was also very decent. Not the Ritz, but a really good place to stay at a reasonable price with in Termini Imerese. I was there visiting family that lived right in town. It was only a few minutes to the town centre. Not really anything bad to say. Not the Hyatt but clean, quiet and comfortable. I guess they could use an elevator. Kind of tough to bring the luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
Staff very friendly, room is very clean and confotable, good location and cip price!
The hotel has no lift
very friendly and helpful staff; nice room distance from town along dangerous street without sidewalks - one must walk in the road for long stretches. I was told (by local residents) that it is unsafe to walk to the hotel alone after dark
The hotel is "very average" but the restaurant (Il Sante et Peccatori) is one of the best in Sicily. Listing the hotel as "near the train station" is inaccurate. It was a long hot walk.
Friendliness of staff. Spacious room. Pretty good dinner; breakfast ok. Its location; on of the few really ugly spots on the north coast. No view (thank goodness?)! But ... well located for visiting Palermo and other interesting places.
Recently refurbished and comfortable quality hotel. Staff knew enough English to be friendly and helpful. Good choice at breakfast. Hotel is well sign posted in Termini Imerese (just head for the town centre off the autostrada and you'll spot the signs).Good supermarkets in town and on the road to Cefalu for picking up supplies. Well worth a stop over for a good nights sleep.
very clean ,staff were very helpful hotel breakfast was very good so was dinner. it could use a shutle for people with out autos
The hotel is very much like most hotels in North America. It is not really set up for tourists and it was quite difficult to get any information on the local attractions. The staff was pleasant but open about the fact that this was not a tourist area...
The view and the people that own it are very pleasant and helpful. the fact that it is a long way away from the beach and that there are no signs of how to find it, which can be very difficult if you arrive in the middle of the night.
Clean, Airco, Garden 4 Loud dogs. Spartan breakfast. Almost impossible to find: Directions: When entering Cefalu, from motorway side, on your right, you see an arrow for San Biagio church, that's the SP136. Follow San Biagio signs, then when you reach the church, take a left, and continue until you see a sign for "finestre sul parco".
I enjoyed staying with a family in the town we were visiting. It is a little off the beaten path, so travelers have to be prepared to find it but we all enjoyed staying there.
It was very relaxed, beautiful outlook from the property. Wifi internet. Breakfast was forgetable.
Nice quiet couple maybe because they do not speak much English. The owner kept dogs (down the step in front of the nice garden bench in front of the house) which bark when they knew that you were around. Hence, it was not possible to sit there. The barking would also trigger the neighbourhood dogs to bark as well and it was not good when you get back late. Don't worry, the dogs do not bark all night long.
friendly staff, quiet
It is located in a beautiful place with a panoramic view.. The room is very nice and clean.. I liked very much the property with a 5 dogs and cats.. It is a lovely place, it is possible to feel like at home because of quietness and nature..
Realy nice welcoming people and spectacular views. It will be good if owners makes signs, because we had difficulties to find this eyerie.
it is very nice stay in cefalu but is far away from the downtown and there is no shuttles from the hotel and center the distance from the downtown
