Clean and comfortable. Air conditioning is too strong, even when it is off cold air keeps coming. Why while booking price was 79 euros and after checkout it was 81, though I didn't use any additional services? It's not much, but stil...
a good bed and a good breakfast service of the bar
close to the station. easy to find. terrible access to the Internet even in the robby.
very good service for the money requested. Clen room with good equippement. 5 minutes from realway and bus station and 8 minutes from city center
it was well placed
The staff were absolutely fantastic, I had a big problem with my motorcycle breaking down on Bastille day, and they did everything they possibly could to help us, despite having already checked out.
Helpfulness of the staff particularly Victor who went out of his way to help us. The facilities are looking a bit tired.
Clean and not so expensive, perfect for a weekend Is not in the best area of the city.
Room and breakfast was as expected. Overall it was clean and comfortable. Amenities in room were lacking but expected. A lady working at the breakfast hall from Cambodia was so nice and helpful with suggesting activities to do in the area. Overall experience was good. At checkout though something odd did occur. The gentlemen attending me said to have given me the correct change, 42 eur. He showed me a 20 eur and 2 10 eur and 2 eur. All was rushed and he only gave me 22 back instead of 42 eur. It took me a few minutes while I was still in the lobby to figure it out. Then I approached and said I think he didn't give me correct change. At first he brushed it off since there were more clients. I waited for them to finish to not be a pest. Then I asked again and asked to check paperwork in case it fell. No luck. Then I asked to check cameras and that I was willing to wait for security. He quickly agreed to give me the 20 eur. Not sure if he was just nice or realized he didn't give it to me. But I felt like I was scammed but all ended well. I don't want to judge his character without proof but all was odd. i wouldn't let this stop anyone from booking. The experience overall was good. Just a precaution.
Location in Annecy based on the rate Room quite small
Convenient location within easy walking distance of station. Helpful people both at hotel and in Annecy. The town provides a scenic setting, ideal for a relaxing holiday.
Comfort, location -
V. Friendly and excellent breakfast
Hospitality of the staff Hotel room, which was small, not comfortable and was poor value for money.
Convenience to the town centre lack of parking guaranteed
Clean and nice with friendly staff. The parking lot saved is a lot of hazzle. Our particular room was very nice and well kept - but unfortunately ground level and no window with a view.
Friendliness of staff and cleanliness of hotel Room rather small
Close to Gare but not affected by noise, Friendly, efficient staff, close to shops and restaraunts and close to old town. 10 minute walk to lake. When the strikes started and we were wondering if our trains would run and needed to find out new timetables, the staff were not interested in helping us with this problem. I thought they could also have allerted us to the fact that there was a problem, because not speaking french, we could easily have not known that there were problems.
Proximity to the lake and the old village - free car parking - free internet- shower room first class. Helpful at reception - good rate A bit difficult to find - lift was vey small
my wife and i have stayed at this hotel at least 4 times in the last 5 years.it is excellent for travelers of modest needs. it is particularly well maintained and clean.the breakfast in among the best we have found in europe.and the wi-fi internet is reliable and free.
Excellent location to explore Annecy, just a few minutes walk from the Old Town and the lakeside. Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff and secure parking.
friendly helpful staff
Very accomodating staff, excellent breakfasts, on-site parking, tea/coffee making facilities in room, excellent free Wi-Fi reception. Limited baggage drop off facilty, small lift without floor indicators, unavailability of airconditioning (turned off for the "winter"!)
Very close to train station and nicely located for going to the city center. The room was small (but bathroom was nice). Breakfast was an additional 13 Euro per person per day.
Close to the Old Town for a good choice of Restuarants Our Double room was very small. The adjascent Twin room for my children was a better size.
central situation near old city is beautifull oh yes the electricity went out in Annecy for 1 hour during 23:00-00:00 (laugh)
the localizarion of the hotel is perfect for someone visitimg or working in Annecy my room (500) is nice but small. The shower is also small; the only problem is the shower curtain that is perturbating you during your washing, a cabin or a rigid wall would be welcome
Very nice hotel, room and bed were comfortable and spacious. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Great location and good parking right outside hotel. Would go out of my way to stay there again. No complaints at all.
Pleasant hotel. Great pillows. Close to rail station and restaurants.
The location was superb. Since annecy is such a small place you can be within the heart of the town within minutes to enjoy the sights or to enjoy a meal out in one of the many excellent restaurants.
The hotel restaurant is very poor value for money both for breakfast and evening meals
Quality location, excellent service, beuatiful building. A long established hotel with a well-deserved reputation.
Great location, clean, nice hotel. The bar closed too early. Very expensive breakfast.
The location right at the lake embedded in a lovely park-like garden matches perfectly with the grand style of the building that had been inaugurated in 1913 and was renovated and reopened in 1990. A room with a lake view will allow to enjoy the natural beauty of the place to its fullest. Rooms that are facing to the park still offer the view on mature trees. A 20 minutes walk leads you to the old part of Annecy along the lake´s shore. The interior is stylish with references to the Art Deco phase, displaying 3 meter high ceilings. Facilities are impeccable and clean.
Excellent setting, very comfortable and staff very friendly Restaurants / bar very expensive. €25 pp for breakfast is expensive in anybody's book, especially if you stay more than one night. The spa is not as advertised-by appointment only rather than as the moment takes you.
excellent hotel, high quality 4 star 20 minute walk from Annecy Town
I did like seeing the Annecy lake in the morning from my bedroom. Amazing view ! I think the hotel does not deserve its 4-star ranking. Based on my own experience, the room design does not correspond to this hotel category. The bathroom was very basic, with a poor color, the toilet looked like toilets you can find in airports ... the design of the room was not convincing (no hotel spirit)
Definite advantage having the option of self-catering - very well equipped kitchenette. Hotel room was of a good size with comfy bed and beautiful en suite. The front of hotel is in a predestrianised zone, so when arriving by car the hotel was difficult to locate. Also their carpark is not immediately obvious, but this could be due to building work.
Our room wasn't ready, so we were given a free upgrade... Very accomadating! The staff was VERY friendly and helpful, which was not the feedback I saw on most existing reviews.
it is a very practical design of the 3 pax bedroom. Comfortable and modern and well equipped of everything. it will be good to have a signage on the main road to guide to the entrance of the hotel.
Thé location in thé center of thé vit, its parking, the nice appartment Nothing
it is situated nearby all main places of interest to diminish very specific smell in the hotel
Quality of room. Cost effectiveness and the fact that pets are allowed there.
Our room for 4 people was clean, modern, and spacious.
Location of the hotel is excellent, few minutes walk from the city centre. Staff was very friendly and welcoming - no issues with them whatsoever. I would totally recommend this hotel and I will try to book Adagio from now on, whenever possible. Our room was leaking heat like crazy - not sure if this was specific to our room (top-most floor), the top-most floor as such or all the rooms. There was also a dust cover on the floor around the bed, which should not be there.
Central location, easy to reach, quiet, clean, friendly staff, garage available Still constructions around/in front of the hotel. Not clearly labeled, rather a small label above the parking entrance. I presume, these items will be fixed soon.
The proximity to the old town area The suite we booked had self catering facilities but did not include a basic welcome pack which ment that we did not use them
The quality of the service
The location and the parking. Our room was not very comfortable. We were in a studio on the basment floor (room 6 I think). We were two adults and a baby and the room was quite claustrophobic as the window couldnt be opened and it didn't provide any view. Furnishings were cheap and stark in appearance and the sofa was very uncomfortable. We ended up just leaving the bed pulled down as it was more comfortable than the sofa. Room could have been cleaner. There were dirty tissues behind the bed and the mirror was marked with what looked like paw prints. I would stay here again but not on the ground floor. I'd book a more expensive apartment if staying here again.
The new rooms are nice. The destination near to the old town ist brilliant.
Location, modern, design, clean, comfort, price, staff. Everything was very good. I have no negative remarks to do. Strongly recommended.
Privilodges Le Royal - Apparthotel in Annecy is the perfect place to stay. It is very affordable and has neat clean apartments. The staff is most helpful and efficient, there is a nice fitness room, and the location in the old town is ideal. no
good location with parking lots and convenient studio with kitchen facilities.
Liked having cooking and refrigeration facilities in own room. Also access to laundry facilities and free internet access
This is a great hotel if travelling with children - the apartement style with 2nd bedroom and kitchen facilities are fab. The photos/description don't do it justice as the room are a lot more comfortable and cosy and the bathrooms more modern than they look. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there were lots of lovely pattisseries close by. The location is great, overlooking a small square/playpark, within easy reach of the old town and lake.
Central location was good. 5 minutes from train station and 5minutes to lake. In the heart of the old town-so easy to get around.
Swimming pool was good Hotel was a bit run down
Wonderful mountain views from the balcony of our 4 person duplex room. Very peaceful when doors to balcony shut (near airport). Wonderful heated outdoor pool and gardens. Also great gym. Staff very friendly and helpful. No room service before 6pm.
Reception staff, pool, closeness to bus-stops to Geneva. A bar would have been nice.
Its location is very convenient for Geneva and its airport. Despite being on a busy road it is not too noisy. It is also within walikng distance of several restaurants.
The pool was beautiful and the water was warm. The staff was very helpful and curteous. The location near the airport was very convenient. It really is just a sofa bed. Not the most comfortable place to sleep for an extended stay, but probably okay for 1-2 nights.
Good, reliable service, quiet and clean room.
Suited me perfectly as i was attending a conferenc and the idea of a self contained unit to come 'home' to was appreciated. Located near to supermarket and eateries. No complaints
Big, comfortable and clean room; very quiet environment; free wireless internet; nice view to the park; very helpful and polite hotel staff; bus stop to Geneva just in front of the hotel It should be emphasized that the bus stop for the hotel (lines F and Y) is Brunette, not Avenue de Jura.
Totally excessive price considering no coffeeshop, no bar service, no proper bed. Lights in room did not work as bulbs broken. Reception girl confirmed that the rooms were , a lie. No easy instructions as to open the sofa-bed.
the hotel is near the bus station and a big department store. Geneva is only 20 min by bus from the hotel. Rooms are small. Gym is in a bad shape. Breakfast is for one person only per apartment which does not make sense since the apartment is for 4 people.
We were only there one night It was in need or refurbishment. It could especially benefit from new carpets
The size of the room was good and had a nice picture window looking towards the mountains if you got the upgraded room. The staff was not very helpful, the location was hard to find, there was no coffee in the rooms or minibar/refrigerator, the A/C did not work very good. The bed was not very comfortable and was well worn and the blanket(no sheets) was very heavy for the time of year. I would not classify this as a three star hotel.
I travelled with husband and elderly mother. When we arrived at the hotel a prostitute was entering the hotel the bed - bruised shins, pillows, lacking atmosphere, poor food, there were flies on the salad bar
The staff at reception and restaurant was very friendly and accomodating. The bar was not staffed at night.
Nice room, nice view.
Good food. Service was great especially as we arrived late.
We always use this hotel during our trip to Alps or for other trips. Great advantage is the location close to highways for our purpose.
Comfortable bed, nice room expensive breakfast, was difficult for us to find
Nice location off the main highway area...we were only staying for one night as we continued our road trip through Europe, but this was perfect for a night of rest. The restaurant was full that evening, as they were hosting an event of some kind...we simply drove to the shopping center about a mile away and ate at a really great Chinese restaurant. The kids loved the pool, open till 11 p.m. Was a nice place to catch your breath before continuing on...
Good access, free parking, wi-fi, good but very expensive breakfast. Rooms were small for the price and our room was under very noisy stairway. When I complained next morning I was changed to another somewhat less noisy under another stairway. Staff did their best but basically they are stuck with the small, noisy (but well equiped) rooms. No English language TV was available in the room yet CNN was available in breakfast room- I was told they were in middle of changing to a new service and nothing could be done and no credit was offered.
fabulous views from the pool noise from the staff quarters in the early hours. difficult to to get into town due to lack of taxis. Expensive food
Its location The service and the food in the main restaurant was very poor and the head waiter ignored our complaints
The setting was fantastic and the facilities were very good. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little small for the price and the hotel bar prices were prohibitive and double the cost of lakeside cafes/resturants in Annecy which is only a short walk away. (9 euros for an orange juice !)
A lovely hotel in a supurb setting. The restaurant was too expensive and closed on Sunday! The brasserie was not open at all!! No English channels on T.V.
Proximity of the hotel to the old town. Hotel was expensive. Room was very small. Shower not up to date and bathroom could do with an update. Spa was not as good as the photos made out
The hotel is lovely - quite a business hotel though and the breakfast and food quite pricey when paying your own way. Not ideal for families because of this. Location good - you can walk down to the lake and town in about 15 minutes and the view is fab.
The lake/mountains view and the swimming pool. Oh, yes, aplenty: lack of comfort - small room/bathroom, no aircon (worse if room under the roof); unprofessional, immature staff, unable to answer simple questions about the place but suggesting we should go to the tourist information office downtown instead! One morning breakfast service was appalling, but the hotel manager was 'unavailable' (en rendez-vous) to take comments directly and never replied to our complaints. Hotel restaurant was rather pricey for a family with children, hence the need to sample the restaurants downtown; plenty of choices there but the return to the hotel problematic in the dark. Romantically involved couples of all ages may find this place attractive for a night or two but a longer stay is not justified.
pillows, bathroom, robes, view, inside space itself (i.e. dining and sitting areas - I could imagine having a wedding there), staff (friendly, helpful, and excellent English), dvd player room smelled bad, farther away than indicated on map - quite a hike
proximity to centre of town. Also, restaurant facilities were very useful as it was pouring with rain in the evening when we were to go out for dinner, so we just stayed and dined in the hotel Only slight problem was all the works going on around the hotel. Access was difficult. I know this is only a temporary problem but perhaps a space to offload cases and children whilst going to search for a car park space would be good.
Good breakfast. Clean. Helpful staff. 3 people in room but faclities only for 2. Poor direction to find hotel.
I have a very unpleasant surprise when I came back at home :they deducted from my credit card a surcharge amount of 50 Euro without any explanation. When I asked them by mail I recevied a very cold explanation that is a guarantee and they make up a copy of my card.I am sure that it was normal to explain me at check-in if is necessary a guarantee
Clean and comfortable hotel, at convenient distance from train station and Annecy's commercial area.
near by the train station, only need to walk for 5 mins from the station. And basically comfortable. meet an unfriendly ,bad English staff at 23 o'clock the day I arrived.
The position was very good, only a short walk to the lake and canals. The position of the hotel was directly above the railway, and although on the fourth floor you could hear the railway, but not enough to complain about, the fact that you could only get to the hotel from one direction was also a little annoying.
Convenient location, nice room
Very friendly staff, overall good hotel
It is close to the train station. The security is fine. The pillows are not clean enough.
The hotel is close to the old city center (walk distance), great breakfast, bedroom spacious and comfortable.
convenience, nice room. perfect for an overnight stay and earlt flight the next morning. we asked for a wake up call at 6:30 and did not receive one.
Easy and quick transport to the Airport
The Novotel Geneve Aeroport France was in an excellent location for our stay near Geneva and CERN. It was reasonably priced and we were very satisfied with the cleanliness and we would recommend this hotel to others planning to travel to the Geneva area. It would be nice if WiFi was free throughout the hotel rather than having to pay for service or use the hotel computer in the lobby.
The room was well equiped (minibar, sofa, etc) Much further away from the airport that I expected. Necessary to make a reservation for the shuttle to go to the airport (and obviously because we arrived late (midnight) I was already full) and the taxi is ridiculously expensive (30-40 swiss frank), for an hotel supposedly closed to the airport. Tiny washroom and shower.
Very spacious room, free Internet and car park Location without public transport, quite expensive breakfast ( 13.3 Euros)
Shuttle bus to hotel, and reasonable restuarant. The room was large and comfortable. On the French side so took a while to get there
Clean, silent, good breakfast, located very close to the airport.
We used the Hotel as a stop off travelling south but could not see the Hotel being anything more than a bed to crash in. The Hotel has no atmosphere and staff did not know if they could even provide a couple of extra pillows (the ones on the bed looked like a steam roller had pressed them!). Bar expensive as was resturant so we choice to use local facilities. There must be better locally.
I like their system of two doors between the sleeping chamber and the hallway; it keeps the room very quiet. Staff very helpful and willing to work with English-speakers. The shower drain was in the middle of the shower area; bad design. Difficult to shower without closing the drain by stepping on it. Otherwise, fine facilities.
e liked the room the accesories the morning breakfast(missing vegetables)shuttle service was very good and comfortable
The kind service, the jacuzzi and Sauna. Also the pleasant decoration Only that they do not have restaurant and the bar service closes early on the night
Nespresso machine at breakfast. Air-con worked well and was nice & quiet.
The hotel it self. No, at all.
Reception people are excellent. And Spa is clean and clean.
We really enjoyed the hotel - the decor was perfect, the room was comfortable and nicely organized. The added benefit of free Wifi was nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location was absolutely perfect for access to the bus, old city, park, lake. perfect. We found the daily cleaning service to be a little lacking. Dirty towels that we left on the floor as instructed were not completely replaced, nor were sundries on a daily basis. The room was not vaccumed during our four day stay and got a bit worn and cluttered looking. The tub wouldn't hold water (slow leak). Everything else was perfect however.
Good location, friendly staff, nice spa and room. Street noise was a bit loud, although got used to it after a couple of days.
Excellent little spot for a city break. the breakfast is truly excellent, the staff are really helpful, whole place very chic and stylish. Very good value for money and perfectly positioned for all the major sights.
friendy staff entrance to garage
Very good, comfortable hotel located very conveniently for centre of Annecy
friendly staff Efficient room; not very cosy.
Simply fantastic location, view, architecture, atmosphere. Just try not to take the "observatoire" room, it's nice but not comfortable.
Wonderful dinner at an excellent price. The staff were all very attentive and pleasant. Beautiful views from the rooms at the front of the chateaux and warm in the public areas despite being such a large place (we stayed off-season in winter). Some of the rooms are decorated in a quite tacky fake ethnic style (e.g African and Indian), not at all in keeping with what you'd expect from an old French house. But perhaps that's a modern French thing? Other rooms are lovely.
Don't take the breakfast - it was poor and very expansive! The place is beautiful but the room we stayed (blue) was disapointing- bed was too short.
Excellent location with beautifull views, Cosy room, each with different touch. Very nice hosts, trying to make the stay comfortable. Limited choice in the restaurant - onyl gourmet menu (from 3 to 8 courses) - no chance to get some small snack. If the hotel is very far from nearest village with shops and restaurant, such service is a must. There was a cosy bar, but no one working there during our stay - it is far of 4* hotel. The level of service is similar to boarding house - often empty front desk, no concierge. The first night we stayed alone in the whole building. It does not mind to us - but this cannot happen in 4* hotel. We got a good price for our stay, so we can accept the minor problems but for the normal pricelist level the service provided is not enough
very nice small castle with a marvelous decoration The service staff in the restaurant was not at all professional. Friendly but very unconfortable in their manner of serving. To talk to the guest the waiter put his face about 10 cm in front of the guests face, when the guest orders he puts his face into the menu so that the guest can not see it anymore (it seems he has a problem with his sight). To show what is on the plate when he serves he puts his finger almost into the meal!!
