Good transportation to Prague, friendly staff, good and inexpensive food Room and bathroom was badly worn out
Staff were very friendly, food was amazing.
Very friendly staff. Excellently refurbished room. Very convenient location - quick trains to Prague just across the road and hotel a fraction of the price of central Prague.
Me and my friends (5 persons) have arrived in the Hotel Grand from Moscow by car. There are good hospitable and friendly personnel! Certainly, the personnel speaks English and helps in all. On reception it is possible to change money at a good course. The are family atmosphere and a cosiness reigns in the hotel. It is possible to eat tasty food and drink fine Czech beer. Yes, the hotel is in 25 km. from the centre of Prague, but it is not so hard to move to Prague. Train station is only in three minutes of walking. The train goes to the centre of Prague half an hour. Me and my friends liked very much to have a rest in this hotel. Every evening or morning we came back from Prague in hotel as in the native home. We really loved Hotel Grand!
Yes. We have been there twice and the staff is excellent and helpful. Make sure to use a good map or GPS to find since can be difficult in thh dark.
The building itself is just great - who gets to stay in a pink House - Hotel Grand complete with highceiling rooms and old fashioned stair case. Even as it is right next to the railwaystation there was no disturbing noise from the trains and it is super convienient. Big size meals in the restaurant for a very small prize! Would stay there again anytime.
Food and location and most of the staff. Train is very convenient.Show In our room, the shower was awkward - no place to put soap. No clock in the room. The rooms were very warm, but we couldn't turn off the heat and had to open the windows. It was too bad to waste the heat.
Cheap, cheap, cheap They were undergoing renovation,I think! Rooms not that comfortable, Bathrooms clean. Breakfast not thr best. Hard to get to Prague, unless you call speak the language and want to use the train.
The food was good and the location close to transport links is excellent On one of the days our room was not cleaned
We enjoyed the old ambience of the hotel. Having a receptionist who spoke English was a plus for us. On our 2nd morning, we arrived at breakfast at 9 am. There were very few clean dishes available, less clean places to sit and even less food to eat. There was no cereal, no coffee, 1/2 an egg, no juice, and a few pieces of meat and cheese. The only bread was the bread in the baskets on the tables. Breakfast is indicated as from 8-10 am. People arriving after us faired even worse. I asked for more coffee and we received a half pot of luke warm coffee. No one came in to clean up or replace items. The next night we had dinner at the hotel. The food had to be returned as the chicken in the dish was spoiled.
The convenient location to the airport as we had a morning flight out. It is a new hotel finding it's feet to be fair. Probably due to cost the gardens and general outside areas need attention as they have been neglected.
The furnishings were to a very high standard, and the room clean and comfortable. The cold buffet breakfast provided was also generous and good. The hotel is close to the airport, but noise was not a problem. The hotel information said there was an airport shuttle, which was not true, and it also said that the restaurant was open in the evening, which again was not true. The location is out of the way, with no restaurants within walking distance, which meant that the only meal available was ordering a take-away.
