Pros: This place is paradise. From the incredible mountain view to the hospitality of the staff to the fantastic food cooked by Olga and her staff. It’s made for rest and relaxation. Plus they can help organize day trips too. If you have a chance to stay here you must do it.
Pros: Best Dinner in Panama. Olga and Stefan are great hosts. Only the infinity Pool is more a hot pot. Nur with a great fiew
Pros: Outstanding view, beautiful accommodations, excellent food
Pros: We were told the food here was amazing and that is 100% correct. Some of the best we've had anywhere.
Pros: Hope to stay again in the future. Great owners on site! Property had lots of character to make it interesting, incredible location, beautiful views. Food was remarkable!
Cons: Communication and dealing w PayPal was cumbersome. I was prepared and would have preferred to pay cash..... or pay a little more to be able to use a credit card. While I enjoyed the character, some of the finishes were a little funky
Pros: Everything was perfect. Olga and Stéphane are very nice. The food was just delicious.
Pros: What an amazing place! We really wished we had spent more time here, but we were only passing through between Panama City and Bocas town. We stayed on both our there and return trips, and both times it was fantastic! Olga is an incredible cook, and there is so much food, it’s no wonder the name of their restaurant is La Gula (Gluttony)! We had to go with only the main meal on our way home, but were very glad that we had tried the full 4-course meal on the way out. The setting is picturesque, with amazing views and so many fireflies! They have a little nook for the kids to hang out in, and everywhere you look, there is something new to see. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and neatly decorated. And the hot tub is a great place to relax and have some of the best passionfruit margaritas you’ve ever had!
Pros: Maybe the best food in Panama and the friendliest hosts (plus: the view is stunning!) Would love to go back asap
Pros: Breakfast was great Olga really comes up with new varieties, the fruit was to die for. She makes every meal a special occasion. The view from the room is spectacular, the jacuzzi was a nice surprise. A true Refugio.
Cons: a light at the bed for reading would be great
Pros: Awesome views, cocktails and food. The hosts were very attentive and created an atmosphere that was super nice for us. Would go again whenever we could. Thank you so much

Cons: All The staff The dorm Thanks family dinner The trail
Pros: Awesome location in the middle of nowhere!
Pros: It's unbelievable what the owners have done to get such a huge amount of people into this remote place. There is literally just forrest and river around but they turned it into their advantage and I bow to their marketing strategy. I did like the scavenger hunt, this I haven't seen anywhere else.
Cons: it is the typical hostel crowd, not for us but we have been sold to by another travellers who loved it. we slept in a shared room for 8 ppl, it wasn't as bad as I thought. toilets are very far from the room.
Pros: The place by itself is just amaizing Room is convenient with the lockers Many hammocks at different places so you always finda quiet place The bar is a bit far from the room area wich is convenient for the noise Nice day trip from the place Game organised in the forest (even of i didnt participate, the idea is very cool) The place is easy to reach by private shuttle or public transportation
Cons: You have to climb to reach the hostel and then, if you have a room at the bottom, climb again to reach the common area You cannot be served breakfast before 8h15am The quality of the food is very depending of the cook
Pros: We had 2 nights at the L&F Hostel and did the Coffee Tour with Jona to the very cool Farm of Don Cune. It was a really well done and good tour with great Coffee, Wine, Lunch. You roast your own coffee and you make some sugar cane juice. Apart you learn many things about the plants and procedures of Don Cunes Farm.
Pros: We just stayed a couple of hours getting breakfast and wait to check in to the room, but finally left due to lack of cleanliness and also unwelcoming staff Really deceived since we were looking forward to exploring our stay at this place following its reputation
Cons: Badly maintained room: big hole on door so insects can easily enter, spider webs and spiders on the walls and under bed... When we asked for assistance, the staff was very annoyed and told us that either we accept it or we leave, not a very welcoming attitude... For the breakfast we ordered, 2 out of 4 orders didn't correspond with what was asked ( a vegetarian friend of mine was served meat and another found a large insect in her fried bread...) Other guests also told us that the hostel didn't clean bathrooms and showers for last 3 days and they stink.... So we decide to leave with huge disappointment
Pros: The location and the treasure hunts were great. Food is super delicious and price is ok. Wonderful view, great bar.
Cons: Beds have no mosquito nets or hanger for own mosquito nets. Bathroom closer to the lower dorms would be nice
Pros: Very yummy food (Nacho Bowl!) Comfortable beds and clean, big double room Funny group activities in the evening (Happy hour, giant Jenga, Beer Pong)
Cons: We could not check in at first because our room was occupied by a couple, who „forgot” to check out earlier. So we had to wait for three more hours. The reception desk should have double checked that the guys are leaving actually. The guy at the reception gave us wrong information concerning the horseback riding tour, the amount of the discount on our first night and the schedule of the bus, which is departing to David. (Instead of admitting he was not knowing and asking a colleague for help).
Pros: It is the most spectacular location and all the staff are very friendly. I wish we had longer...
Pros: The fantastic location
Cons: The long hard walk to the location
Pros: The view was amazing and the location was quite good. Homemade cake was great.
Cons: The Hostel was overhyped. The facilities (toilets, showers,...) were not really clean which ruined the experience. Among "things to do" on the website there was a river canyon, however the canyon was 30 mins by bus away, which is not really that close and we could not make it in time. Needless to say, we spent only an afternoon. There was no A/C or fan in the rooms and no bug net to open the window.

Pros: Staff and house was great.

Pros: Very good place for resting. It has balcony very windy, cool and fresh. Also a quite place to have an excellent relaxing time.
Cons: It was not possible to use kitchen area. I found one cockroach in the bathroom at midnight
Pros: The owners are nice. They only know a little English, so Spanish skills help. The place is clean and peaceful. There are some restaurants and grocery stores nearby.
Cons: The place was a little hard to find. It's the grey house at the end of the dirt road when you turn to Calle 5a Suroeste. There was no hot water in the shower in the morning (may have been a temporary issue).

Pros: the amazing view & location, the lovely friendly, ms Elsa
Cons: its hard to get there with a small/low/not so powerful car, although we managed.
Pros: The outside looked nice and the garden was well maintained.
Cons: The entire place was lacking of a bit of attention. There was no coffee maker, no cork screw and the mattress was so soft it was hard to sleep without ruining your back.
Pros: The property is incredible. Loved waking up to hummingbirds in the mist.
Cons: There was no orientation so we didn’t know where to get water or food. We walked 20 minutes each way to a supermarket to find that it was available at the bottom of the hill. There are no tours offered by the staff. They find people to take you but it’s 2 hours away and you have to get there yourself.
Pros: the cabins where ok, small but cosy - the best was the beautiful overview over the valley and the nice garden
Cons: beautiful location but the electricity went off. We had to move to two other cabins what was quite a lot of work and discussion. The caretaker of the cabins told us to go to the lost and found hostels in order to get some food for the evening but the only serve their own guests there. After a 15min hike in the dark this was not satisfying.

Cons: Dirty, big openings in thé ceeling and walls, wind blows trough, many mosquitos, only 2 Blankets for 5 persons, noise of rats or Mice sturing thé night ,matras very old bad for thé back, is worse than A mountain hut, too expensive for what your get
Pros: If you like the place to yourself with great views and strong WiFi connection in very rustic dwellings, then it comes highly recommended...
Pros: The view omg the view was awesome, the sunshine was in front of you!!!!!. Awesome weather. Is in the perfect place of the mountain! There is a police station nearby, also 3 restaurant also mini convenience store, and a Cafe, ( ask for the burgers). The rooms are tiny but comfortable. I will visit them again.
Cons: The WiFi is a lie, you have to go to the house next to the property to get some signal, ( this can be easily fix with a 60$ solution.), the cafe nearby like 2 min walking have WiFi :). No souvenir stores. :/ I really love it sorry!!
Pros: The only upside was the amazing location they have for the hostel.
Cons: I got to the hostel after telling them at what time I would arrive and it was completly empty. The staff memeber only arrived 5 hours after me. Doors were locked except for one side entrance. I had a messege waiting for me inside telling me that she wiĺl come back and thats it. There was no wifi even though it was said that their is, and the place is abviously neglected. I understood that the owner gave up on the hostel and is now running another time which is a shame because the place have potential. It just needs someone to make work with it.
