10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very attractive decor, bedroom and en-suite bathroom both thoughtfully equipped and spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast, delightful hosts.
Cons: It couldn't have been better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great for our purposes - close to the main road but you feel like you are tucked away in the country. Seven Sisters (Birling Gap) is only 20 minutes drive, and worth seeing. Several restaurants close by. The bathroom was designed beautifully. The room was clean and we were given access to a fridge, milk, coffee, tea, etc. The room was large enough to store luggage and sit to do desk work. The highlight for us was the breakfast - absolutely outstanding food. The hosts were very helpful and interesting people.
Cons: Some might say the entrance is a little difficult to spot from the road, but I think that is what gives this place its secluded charm. It wasn't that difficult to spot and once you learn where it is it is not a problem. I am really scraping the bottom of the barrel to find something to say here, because the overall experience was outstanding.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Jenny & Ian were amazing hosts. From the greeting we received when we munched a gorgeous, freshly cooked lunch to when we arrived with our super heavy bag which Ian carried up to our room for us, nothing was too much trouble. The little touches in the room, bottled water, fresh leaf tea ready for the boiling water, the gorgeous crisp bed linen, the amazing view from our window and the recommendation to have dinner at The Bulls Head across the road - all demonstrated a professionalism that was exemplary. Our breakfast was wonderful and Ian didn't mind "nuking" my fried egg as per my request. I would recommend this very highly. Excellent experience.
Cons: Scolfes was PERFECT!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent B and B in a lovely location. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable and it was good to have an additional sitting room for guests. Breakfast was a very convivial affair with other guests around a large communal table and the food was very good indeed.
Cons: A very minor point, but it would be good to have a shaving mirror in the ensuite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely B & B set in a wonderful location, with fantastic & friendly hosts too (Vicky & Dave.) We had a very comfortable room with the added bonus of a fridge! You have a good choice of breakfast to set you up for the day....loved the freshness of the eggs especially! The Farmhouse grounds are very tranquil and you really do feel very much at ease (relaxing.) I suppose an unexpected bonus was finding the local small railway station at Berwick (just a short drive away.) We basically parked the car up there each day and then travelled out to such places such as Lewes, Brighton and Eastbourne. No worry about parking the car at your chosen destination and the trains were very punctual too.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Were woken up by alarm going off on two nights, room was only made up on one occasion, presumably because we had not left the door open as a signal we wanted it made up.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast. Continental followed by an a la carte cooked breakfast. Great salmon and eggs. The bed was the best bed I have ever come across in a hotel or airbnb in all my years of travel. Maybe because it was the same brand as ours at home! Feather pillows and linen were perfect. Wartling House has a superb garden and most rooms I believe look out over it. We were made to feel at home. Our hostess is full of useful information if you ask.
Cons: Nothing. Even the English weather behaved beautifully!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host Keith is great. His friendliness is unsurpassed and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Rose cottage.
Cons: There is nothing I would criticise.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: After a night in the Hikers Retreat, we were ‘upgradet’, with no extra cost, to a lovely small studio above the garage. It was a lovely place with somewhere to sit and watch TV, a kitchenette and even two chairs outside to enjoy the sun (if the weather would have been nice). The Inn is surrounded by fields and the coast is nearby. Good area for walkingtrips. Hosts were very nice and welcoming. They make a wonderful full English for breakfast, that lasts a long while.
Cons: Don’t expect to find a running pub and restaurant, as we did. We were a bit disappointed at first, and thirsty, but it was no probleem at all in the end. A cosy pub with nice meals is in walking distance and you can always bring your own stuff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property, perfect location for exploring the village of Alfriston and it’s pubs, incredibly comfortable rooms and very friendly professional staff.
Cons: Nothing. It was a surprise just how lovely it was. And we brought our dog too!
7.9 Good
Pros: Location absolutely amazing! Staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly or attentive. Cooked breakfast was excellent and they had taken pains to accommodate the fact that I am Vegan. The conversion of the barns has been done to a high standard and the interiors are stylish and fitted with high end products - from furniture to bathroom fittings.
Cons: In our bedroom space was tight because they'd provided a metal framed bed with a foot end so difficult to walk between the bed and wall - also the room could have accommodated a wider bed than the 4'6. The shower room whilst fitted with top notch fittings was way too small for the chosen basin - this shower room could have done with a little more space allocated to it. There was no where for a hand towel to be hung, no shelf to put your wash bag on and no wall hook - bearable for one night!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional level of customer service from the team. They treated you like a friend and nothing was a Problem. The whole environment was so thoughtfully designed from the courtyard, lounge and rooms to the exceptional views of the vineyard. We loved it and want to go again at the opposite end of the seasons ie Christmas.
Cons: There was nothing that we disliked at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved Rathfinny from the moment we arrived. It is a breath taking estate, with great rooms and a fantastic staff that loved our dog and made him feel like a king. The facilities are first class as is the breakfast. We will be back very soon
Cons: Nothing, keep doing what you're doing, perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful, with friendly staff; well located for the vineyard next door. Breakfast was well prepared. Setting was very good, but might be a little remote for some people. Understand there are a number of good places to eat in the pretty village adjacent to the property.

Cons: Nothing Niks
5.0 Okay
Pros: Area and 500 year old house look fantastic. Parking easy.
Cons: 70 year olds had to lie flat on the floor to turn on power for bedside lights. Heating on so we had to open very old windows in a gale that allowed a swarm of crane flies in. Very small bedroom and bathroom with heavy bedding.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely house and location and a wonderful breakfast ! We enjoyed very much our visit to the Observatory at Herstmonceux which was the reason for the visit. Weather super too. We loved the balcony room.
Cons: The bed in the "French" bedroom was apparently a bit short for our son.

Pros: A real gem of a place. Made to feel extremely welcome by a very professional owner. Every facility catered for. Everything spotlessly clean. A lovely garden with outdoor sofa’s. All very well kept. Very accessible with ample safe parking. I was on a business trip and had been staying in larger branded hotels. You question why when this type of smaller hotel offers. So much and takes so much care. Breakfast was fabulous too. I will visit again with my wife on a break for sure. Thank you and hats off to the owners and staff.
Cons: Nothing not to like. On returning, I would ensure I booked a table for dinner as it was fully booked. The dining room is gorgeous and I’m sure everything would be impeccable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was Excellent as was the location for us. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem with our room was that as my husband is 6ft 3inches tall and the room had a low beam across the middle which made it a bit difficult for him. However we have been told there is a room which would be perfect for his height which we will book when we come back to stay which we will definitely do!
7.0 Good
Pros: Good breakfast in peaceful surroundings
Cons: Only the weather - rain and more rain !
7.9 Good
Pros: This is a very old Farmhouse that is still in the yard of a working farm. The floors creak and are uneven, the walls are not soundproofed and the feeling is "Rustic". i like these things as they add character and i except that they also have some disadvantages included with this "character" . If you don't like these things and can not accept the exceptional "quirks" there is a Premier inn about a mile away!! Personally i prefer to stay in places like this.
Cons: The whole place could do with an update and re-decorating of some of the rooms, its being run by the charity to help young people so that may be a difficult expense for the charity to fund?
4.2 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good, staff were friendly
Cons: The room was grubby in places, bathroom needs updating, overall not happy with our stay here, would not return or recommend
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast good
Cons: WiFi poor. Shower and toilet not clean, we cleaned ourselves
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quant little place, really friendly people, nice atmosphere. Great having a bar on site too Breakfast was good too
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fine. Room was pleasant. They will cook what you ask for, but they are best at what is on the menu. The hotel has plenty of character.
Cons: The mattress was worn out, but they dealt with that. Maintenance needs to be a little more proactive. Don't wait for complaints, but look at rooms on a regular basis and be sure that there are no jobs needing to be done. The lighting between the car park and the hotel entrance failed while we were there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff made us so welcome. Hotel lovely, food great, stay very comfortable. Fantastic stay
Cons: Not applicable
7.5 Good
Pros: The extensive English breakfast. The best coffee ever. The enthusiastic, funny host. Surrounded by beautiful country side landscape near a footpath for hikes.
Cons: The bathroom is outdated. Our toilet had no lid. The temperature of the shower could not be controlled and there was hardly any water coming out, no strong jet to rinse your hair. It is not a real Farm stay. It is not allowed to enter the farm.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for visiting our daughter and lovely being close to the South Downs for walking. The hotel was full of charm and character which added to the experience. A little rough around the edges and the room in the roof was a little short on headspace in both the room and en suite bathroom, but we are a little short too, so didn't bother us! The quirky layout and uneven floor was in keeping with the age of the property. The main thing was the bed was clean and comfy and facilities were great. Breakfast was lovely, you could have as much or little as you liked with no fuss. The staff balanced being friendly and helpful without being in your face, which was perfect for us. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Hesitate to complain about the unusually hot weather which we were fortunate to have while we were there, but it was a little hot at night, and a fan might have been useful, as the open windows let in a few nocturnal buggies, which you would expect in a rural area! The car parking boundaries are not obvious, as the space is divided between the farm, hotel and garden centre. We were close to not finding a space a couple of times arriving back late when the hotel was busy. This would have been ok once we were aware of the surroundings and that there was parking available on the road, but in the dark (in more than one sense) on the first night, it was a concern. Better to state that on the details so that guests are aware that it is not a big problem.

With a stay at The Star Inn Alfriston, you'll be centrally located in Polegate, a 2-minute drive from Drusilla's Zoo and 12 minutes from Michelham Priory. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location amazing as right on the South Downs Way
Cons: As i was checking out early i had to give keys to the night porter, however i was then asked to write down my debit card details including the cvc number on the back. I refused to give my details as anyone would have access and could have easily had all my details, and my consent as had to sign it. Very unprofessional from an hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely real ale, lots of history in the building.
Cons: Optional breakfast too expensive at £14, so declined. £8-10 would have been acceptable.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location - Alfriston is a wonderful old village set in the beautiful Cuckmere Valley in the South Downs. Superb walking country.
Cons: A bit down at heel and tired. Building works prior to imminent demolition of the pretty awful 1960’s extension hotel went on all afternoon when we were trying to rest and relax in our room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The exterior and interior of the historic and ancient part of the pub, restaurant. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Nice gesture to offer either sherry or whisky on arrival. The log fires were inviting on a wet October evening. Very happy with the restaurant food and breakfast was OK. Good comfortable bed in a spacious room. Free parking helpful.
Cons: The modern accommodation block at the rear was not in keeping with the old part of the building and is rather 'tired' and in need of updating, although we understand that the whole place is under new management and scheduled for a complete refurbishment in the very near future. Look forward to returning to enjoy the improvements. Cobwebs around the bedroom windows. Stains on the throw over the bed. No Guinness available due to a wedding the previous weekend. Poor stock control. Don't let the above put you off staying as we enjoyed our time there but do book your meals beforehand as non-booked walk-in customers were being turned away during the published serving times with empty tables still available.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location. Friendly and very helpful staff in reception and dining room. Lots of choice for buffet style breakfast.
Cons: Furnishings and decor were tired and dated but apparently the hotel is about to be refurbished.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Evening meal was OK.
Cons: Building and fabrics looking a little tired.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful down-land setting, gorgeous historical building, great beer and super food.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Didn't have breakfast (too early). The room was extremely nice, and comfortable, and quiet.
Cons: The dinner in the restaurant was very basic pub food, the tables were sticky and the carpet disgusting.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is good for walking.
Cons: Parking was not easy to find as the streets are narrow and congested. I had to pay for public parking for check in. The details are not helpful.

Pros: My room was spotlessly clean with pleasant , colour coordinated furnishings and plenty of storage space. My choice of evening meal was beautifully cooked and served by Philip, and Nickie made me very welcome in the attractive bar where one can relax in large leather settees whilst enjoying a drink and some tasty nibbles, and chat with fellow guests. Breakfast was amazing- regrettably I did not have room for the personalised cooked breakfast on offer, but the home made muesli with a choice of fresh fruits and creamy yoghurt was delightful, as was the home made marmalade with the toast of my choice.A glass of fruit juice and a pot of filter coffee and I was ready for anything the day could throw at me! I thoroughly recommend this hotel and it's charming owners Nickie and Philip Earland.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was brilliant, really fantastic owners
7.5 Good
Pros: Great breakfast and the owners very friendly.
Cons: 105 room cost I'd expect the rooms to be a little bit more modern and a better shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. wasn't able to have time for dinner but because of the lovely breakfast I am sure it would have been good. very welcoming and accommodating and helpful regarding walks for the dogs.very calm oasis after a busy day.

Pros: Friendly reception and welcome
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast superb, Hosts very welcoming & extremely helpful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, run by a charmingly friendly & efficient couple. Fabulous food - strongly recommended! Good location to visit historic sites such as Hurstmonceux, Pevensey and Battle.
Cons: Location of the Olde Forge is a bit tricky in bad weather - too far to walk into town so you're obliged to drive everywhere. Facilities (including places to eat) are quite limited in Hailsham - all the more reason to eat the The Olde Forge!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very very nice accomodation with very friendly and warm owners. I would deffinetly recommend this accomodation to anyone, not just couples.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and welcoming hosts, who were helping us with everything and found a solution for everything and recommended some nice walks and a good place to eat fish and chips. The rooms are very clean and homely and have everything one needs including coffee and cookies and a clean bathroom. Breakfast is great, a very nice assortment of fruits and muesli and a great choice of freshly cooked meals. We would definitely recommend The Olde Forge for everyone.
Cons: Everything was wonderful.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms, great hosts, beautiful surroundings
Cons: No on site restaurant for food and bar occasionally open when managers are on site.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Although only recently reopened, Very welcoming staff, service good. Continental breakfast was of good quality. Hopefully once everything in place, a selection of hot breakfasts will be available and the restaurant reopened for evening meals. Very convenient place to stay for trips all around the area. Certainly go back again.
Cons: Better quality coffee sachets in the rooms and a thicker ply of napkin at breakfast would be more in keeping with it's persona.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely and even gave us a lift into town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The location was excellent for us to visit Glyndebourne, and very easy to find, the hotel was newly refurbed and our room was done to a high spec, with attention to detail, very comfy bed and quality cotton sheets, towels and The White Company toiletries! The breakfast which was brought to us in a picnic basket to our room complete with table, table cloth and chairs which were set up for us in our room, perfect Sunday morning breakfast over looking the grounds, although adjacent to a main road, it is tranquil with no noise. A superb stay, only downside will be harder for us to get a vacancy once this venue takes off!!
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: High quality accommodation and comfortable beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and exceed our expectations. We both have a gluten free diet and we’re offered gluten free cereal and bread. There was smoked salmon, ham, cheese, strawberries, melon and yoghurt. Coffee and fruit juice. We were given a box of gluten free muffins for our journey home which was very welcome! When we arrived we were offered a pot of green tea. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside in the morning sunshine.
Cons: I think it is a little bit expensive for £150 a night but it is in the tourist area of Alfriston and next door to the zoo.
7.1 Good
Pros: Rooms were nice and they were able to accommodate our two young children next to us. Breakfast was just continental no cooked was offered
Cons: The hotel was not as advertised - no English wine shop or restaurant. It had only just opened - one month as new owners had taken it over - work still in process. Due to this our stay was expensive. Will be good in the future.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very nice staff, who after giving feedback offered goodwill. Rooms have been redecorated to a high standard
Cons: This hotel was not ready to receive paying guests during unfinished refurbishment. You should not be listing this hotel at all as they are not ready, let alone charging £140 room rate. There are some positive things ready to happen at this hotel but they are not ready to be listed on your site.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room , the bathroom and the breakfast
Cons: Liked everything

7.9 Good
Pros: When we walked into the room allocated and found unmade beds and full bins, clearly it had mistakenly not been serviced. We were upgraded and allocated another with apologies. It was a very comfortable nights sleep, excellent breakfast, in a beautiful location.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff in restaurant and bar excellent. Breakfast was really nice. My family with young children joined me for Bar Lunch. Staff very friendly and accommodating
Cons: Single room which is badly in need of refurb. Carpets old, curtains from the 1980’s. Shower screen seal filthy and I had difficulty filling the bath - taps practically inaccessible due to position of screen.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The new Barman was very nice and friendly
Cons: Staff were not very attentive
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Most of the food
Cons: Breakfast bacon
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Alfriston is a great place for south downs walking, pubs and coastal excursions. Staff were very helpful. Good breakfast and lovely gardens
7.1 Good
Pros: Property was five minutes walk from the South Downs Path which I was walking at the time and close to the village for food.
Cons: Unfortunately I ended up with a room directly over the kitchen, so all I could hear all evening and early morning was the extraction. Not a great nights sleep! It took me a while to work out what the noise was and when I tried to mention it to the reception staff there was a distinct lack of interest.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little village with parking
Cons: Breaky cold get there early if you want it hot.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: we took our dog and she was made very welcome
Cons: nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Ample parking, nice restaurant, good breakfast, very kind staff, good location.
Cons: The bathrooms (Rooms 8 and 9) would REALLY need a refurbishment. In the morning, waiting several minutes for warm water was the rule, and you could barely regulate temperature and pressure. Either good pressure with danger of scalding or dripping with good temperature.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the third consecutive year that we have been to Deans Place. The hotel retains the relaxed country house hotel ambiance but this time we really noticed the improvements that have presumably warranted it now having 4 stars. The new carpets throughout and refurbished décor have really made a difference.
Cons: The only downside was that the evening meals are on the expensive side so we ate out in 3 different locations each evening that we were there.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked Simon the barman, very helpfull
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We greatly enjoyed the room, as it is in a wonderfully old, quirky building and has slightly sloped windows and floor, while being very cozy and nice to stay in. The owners (?) were lovely and served breakfast only for us and let us stay as long as we liked.
Cons: We had the window open and as the room faces the street there was a bit of traffic in the morning.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Confusion regarding booking procedures.
7.5 Good
Pros: Old style pub. Lovely village.
Cons: The pub needs to advise what times they are open to obtain the key.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly owner. We staggered through the door about 7.30 after walking from Eastbourne & they got us seated, fed & seated & into our room super quick. Food was lovely too.
Cons: The noise ... our room was above the bar & we were woken by some singing. Thought Alfriston would be a quiet, sleepy village but traffic went past all night with car doors slamming etc
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I thought the inn was very quaint and was perfectly located a minute's walk to the car park. Also lovely that it's above a pub and very easily accessible to most good walks and Rathfinney Wine estate, where we had lunch. The room was lovely and I loved that the classic elements of the room were retained alongside the nice touch of modernity, like the bathroom. My only gripe is that the walls are slightly thin (not a major issue unless someone's talking very loudly) and the heating wasn't great - the room got very cold at night. Other than that, the bed was super comfortable and the staff are really genuine. Would stay here again!
Cons: The heating could've been turned up at night! Had horrible sinuses in the night
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fascinating old building full of history. It has a friendly happy atmosphere and good food and is situated in a lovely town.
Cons: Everything was great really. The only thing we didn't like was the wall of mirrors in our room which seemed a left over feature from an earlier decor
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Huge comfortable room and a private bathroom, great old character pub. Very friendly staff.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff were nice and the place itself was nice
Cons: The room we were in, Slantings, was actually slanting! The beds were slanted and we could fully relax and sleep as we could feel ourselves slightly sliding off the bed

Pros: The lady of the house was a great host, made us feel welcome from the start, made sure we were comfortable & had everything to our satisfaction. I would recommend 100% to booking a room at Holmbush, it's very quiet and relaxing. Thanks to the landlady we had the most pleasant stay.
Cons: N/A
7.9 Good
Pros: The attic room was equipped for two people but we stayed with four and that was perfectly fine. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful, the hosts friendly and very well located if you are into the Bloomsbury group.
Cons: The room missed curtains and we woke up at 5:00 am.
7.1 Good
Pros: The situation of the House was fine. The breakfast was ok. The owners had booked us into a local pub for our evening meal.
Cons: We stayed at the top of the house which had beams and therefore a height restriction which was not mentioned. The price was like London prices -too much. Breakfast could have included fresh fruit salad.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Took over the house for à family wedding nearby and were made to feel very much at home. Comfortable beds, good facilities, great breakfasts and very hospitable hosts! Very much recommended!
10.0 Excellent

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: We travelled for 3 hours as I was meeting my birth mum for the 1st time so was very nervous ! We booked the horseshoe as was near where we was meeting and pictures looked good ! The place is very tired and didn’t look that inviting as doors where dirty and every thing felt sticky including tables at breakfast !! When we arrived. We was given room key and we went up to room again all doors looked like they could do with good clean and paint !!our room was ok but the window cell had about 20 dead bugs which wasn’t a great start we got a tissue and removed them as that was last thing on my mind with such a stressful day ahead when we left we told the reception staff who asked where bugs still there offcourse my reply was god no !! I advised that a house keeper had not been to check on that room for quiet some time there reply was just am sorry

Pros: Di and her team were really friendly. Food was tasty too. Highly recommended stop for all cycling folk
Cons: The weather.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really friendly and nothing was a problem
Cons: Parking was limited
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fine, but would have preferred to have had a glass for my orange juice rather than a plastic one. Surely not a shortage of glasses in a pub!
Cons: Dust on the table lamp that hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. A large ornate lamp on the ceiling over the bed, very nice, except it was poorly fitted and semi-held in place with several pieces of decorators tape! Looked very shoddy and surely not safe.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The room was spacious and clean and there was plenty of hot water.
Cons: The beds were fine although the sofa-bed didn't have a mattress cover on it - just a sheet. The carpet has an iron burn - which was pointed out to us by staff when we checked in. The pub was unpleasant - ripped/worn sofas and a lingering cooking oil smell and a sad grimy feel. The room backed on to the town's supermarket carpark, which was dirty. The industrial bins were emptied in the small hours - it would have been so helpful to have been warned - not a lovely way to be startled out of sleep. It was not expensive - we didn't book breakfast and would not have eaten in there even if we'd already paid for it. We asked for a blanket/covers as it was chilly and no heating was on or available (seasons changing) and were given a horrid duvet, described as 'lumpy'. The duvet cover was clean or something would have been said at the time. The tea/coffee things were not replenished and the cups not changed.
6.0 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, room was adequate and able to please ourselves. Tea and coffee facilities in room plus hairdryer. En-suite was adequate
Cons: Bathroom and bedroom could have cleaner. Situated on busy high street above pub, noisy after closing hours and cars driving past
5.8 Okay
Pros: Not up to travel lodge premier inn standard but convienent location
Cons: No walk in shower bed ok but could be better. Needs modernising
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, excellent service. Add on breakfast was a bonus, and very generous!
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: It was nothing like we were believed to have purchased. Very shocked it is nothing like they advertisements . Perfect location for a getting drunk in the very loud bar underneath you then going to bed. But we where attending a wedding so were disappointed in the information given by the venue. Otherwise we wouldn’t have booked this hotel.
7.1 Good
Pros: The rooms where nice and clean and the breakfast was really good.
Cons: the pub part of The Corn Exchange was really shabby and the decor and furniture was really rough!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Leaving
Cons: The staff were rude, the rooms were clean but many things were broken. The decor was dated and furniture was tired. There was also a light fixture completely exposed with no bulb which is a bit dangerous above sink in a bathroom. We had to pay for an early check in even though I asked for one 3 months earlier and was told it wouldn’t be a problem. And then we couldn’t even check in!
