Pros: The owners were just so welcoming and friendly.
Pros: The friendly hosts, who are English, renovated this traditional property which has five bedrooms. This is basic accommodation but very clean and comfortable. An excellent continental breakfast is provided. The rear walled garden with open sided building is well used for an outside drink in any weather. We will visit here again.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike. This is very good value for money.
Pros: Lovely bedroom and bathroom, and lovely breakfast, and great hosts
Pros: The owners purchased the property about 2 years ago and are in the process of renovating and expanding. The owners were most welcoming, and offered secure motorcycle parking in their barn. Breakfast was very French and very fresh.
Pros: The unique antiquarian quality, the beautiful room, the garden and the breakfast situation where we all say together sharing stories. Wonderful experience!
Cons: More time to stay another day!
Pros: very good bed, and hospitality, excellent breakfast included
Pros: Bed was super comfy, room was large so nice and cool, despite the sun. Bathroom was really nice.
Cons: It was a French breakfast (cold meat and cheese), could have really done with a sausage butty!!
Pros: The owners received us and were extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was a bit above the standard French breakfast. Great beds. Recommended.
Pros: Really outstanding facility - great room, garden, common room, helpf English hosts. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Hosts were not on premises at open time and that was stressful. However, they showed up in 15 minutes and everything was excellent. I suggest a back soon sign for the future.
Pros: The hosts just could not do enough to help you, lovely couple and you feel you are part of a family rather than a room in a hotel. The breakfasts were excellent.
Located in Chalus, Chambres d'hôtes Au fil du temps is a 2-minute drive from Chateau de Chalus-Chabrol and 8 minutes from Espace Hermeline. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: A warm welcome by our charmant host Domininique. Beautiful, clean and lovely decorated room. In the garden we very much enjoyed swimming in the big pool. Dominique kindly reserved a table for us at restaurant Saxo in the village where we had a great meal.
Pros: Tout. Dominic was a charming host.
Pros: We had a fabulous two night stay at Au fil du Temps, Sandrine and her husband Dominique were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was spotlessly clean and very roomy, the en-suite had a very good shower. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well. Our stay was in January and despite the weather being cold outside the rooms were heated very well. We stayed at the property because it was convenient for the Notaires office (solicitors) and not too far away from the house we are buying, we are hoping to see more of Sandrine and Dominique in the future.
Pros: Lovely host, really looked after us. Amazing breakfast enough to set you up for the day!
Pros: Beautiful house and rooms. Host was lovely. Would definitely go back.
Cons: Due to location just off main road, there was quite a bit of lorry noise all through the night as we had the windows open.
Pros: Our host was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts simple but delicious. Safe parking
Cons: TV in room
Pros: There was lovely homemade yogurt for breakfast with homemade jam. Good coffee too. The décor of this house is beautiful and our room was comfortable. A good bed and a good shower.
Pros: Beautifully decorated home in lovely grounds. No parking problems. Lovely breakfast
Cons: Although it is exactly what we wanted, it may be too quite for some, with limited eating options
Pros: Dominique and Sandrine have restored their fascinating house to a very high standard. They are great hosts and the breakfast was outstanding with home made yoghurt and freshly ground coffee.
Pros: A warm welcome, comfortable rooms, and a great breakfast

Pros: The location was great and it was good to see an old railway facility updated to provide accomodation and not left derelict. Decoration was nice and in period with the old railway . Room was comfortable and breakfast terrific!!
Cons: The bathroom had no door to the bed area, only a curtain. A sliding door would achieve desired privacy without impacting on space. The adjacent restaurant ,which has a very good menu, was closed on a Monday, the night of our stay.Booking.com should make sure these closure dates are identified on their advertisements!
Pros: Friendly proprietress n husband. Delightful decor throughout. Good quality table d’hote.
Cons: Shower impractical. Impossible to close curtain round bath hence conscious water went everywhere. Sorry. Some problems re booking in time.
Pros: The place is just lovely! Very comfortable bed, the way they've transformed the old station is amazing and very tasteful. The breakfast was great and can highly recommend eating in the restaurant!
Pros: The whole place. Tasteful rooms, wonderfully decorated. The owners are very nice, positive and helpful. You can get a very nice meal, even if the restaurant is closed that day.
Pros: The property is decorated very nicely with a great emphasis on even the small details. The B&B is in a converted railway building set in a lovely rural location a short drive away from nearby villages. There is a walking and cycling route that passes by the property allowing for exploring the countryside. The breakfast was very good with fresh baguette, croissant and pastries provided on a daily basis. The pastries changed daily and were provided by the restaurant in the adjoining building. The hosts are very welcoming and happy to help in any way they can.
Pros: The proprietors were charming, this was our second visit and we just love the relaxed atmosphere of the place, the deco is outstanding and attention to detail superb. Breakfast is a delight.
Pros: Decor beautiful and very french.
Pros: We’ve stayed there before so were very keen to return. Unique boutique hotel with great ambiance and a terrific restaurant.
Pros: A wonderful, unique place to stay.

Cons: Not so easy to find in the last kilometer, we called the owner (charming) for guidance.
Pros: Good location for us.
Cons: Poor choice for evening meal.
Pros: As it was the end of the season, we were the only people there on the first night, but the owner put himself out to make us very welcome. On the second night, other guests were present and the standard was the same. The evening meal was simple, but excellent. The croissants on the final day were amongst the best we have ever had!
Cons: Some blue cheese on the cheeseboard.
Pros: We stayed in the larger room with aircon a lovely room with thermal bath Dinner excellent meals Owner very friendly
Cons: We were the mostly the only people staying at the time so no atmosphere also the male owner had no staff so he did everything from cleaning the rooms to cooking and serving the food , not professional eg. Bins in room not emptied
Pros: The owner was very helpful and friendly. Food and service excellent, very clean
Pros: Large shower
Cons: Hot room, no ventilation, bed uncomfortable Breakfast below average
Pros: Large, Cléa and confortable tools
Pros: Nice pool and large room, with a lovely bathroom
Cons: The owner wasn’t there when we arrived, and we had to call him..the place was deserted!
Located in Dournazac, Bulle d'R is a 3-minute drive from Chateau de Montbrun and 8 minutes from Chateau de Chalus-Chabrol. Guests will find features like an airport shuttle.
Pros: Excellent experience for couples wanting seclusion, we didn't see anyone at all after arrival, it was completely private, just what we wanted. The breakfast was much more than we could eat and the rolls and croissants were warm. We also had an evening meal delivered which was both excellent quality and quantity for the price. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
