The obvious concern of the personnel with our stay - we like the open layout of the reception and breakfasr area
Good location for a stopover to or from spain with good access to motorway, breakfast was the norm for Europe,oh for decent bacon. no food in the evening although their are two adjacent hotels that have resturants.
Clean room, efficient, as you expect from a hotel for one night while travelling to Spain
Service: staff was unbelievably friendly, making an economy stop feel like something special. Also, better breakfast than would have expected. And price was just about as low as you can get.
We stopped in this hotel as a stayover on the way to the South and we were very impressed. It was great to get out of a hot car and in to a clean, spacious and air-conditioned room. We took a triple room and it had a desk and two chairs, which meant that we could bring back some food and relax in the room (a blessing with a tired toddler!). The hotel is easy to find and was in a quiet location. There was a restaurant close by but you can easily drive in to Riom & find plenty of shops there. There is also a vending machine in the lobby for emergencies. Regarding the staff, everyone we met was very friendly.
Comfortable, friendly, value for money, good breakfast Couldn't get Wifi or ethernet to work. Was constantly picking up the Componile's Wifi.
Pleasant reception and clean and well-equipped room which was spacious and well designed. The card entry system and the heating/cooling was excellent. The heating system needed some instructions available in the room. Why is there only one hook in the bathroom?? Dogs (except guide dogs) should not be allowed in the dining room area.
Easy to find. Staff friendly and helpful, room clean simple and comfortable although bed a little hard ok for a stopover but no good for a week. Breakfast at hotel was cheap simple and good for a continental breakfast inc. ham and egg. Other meals next door at camponile.
a good restaurant just across the road, two supermarkets nearby, easy access to the motorway
Surprisingly on and industrial estate with other budget hotel and restaurant next door. Not to be put off it was clean, safe and coveniently close to the motorway and especialy good value - so great stopover on a long trip. Will use again and the chain.
Excellent food, good stopover when en route to further destination Rooms could be updated, bed was very soft
we use this hotel every time for one night everytime we travel to & from the UK as it about halfway the hotel is clean freindly & the bed is very comfy & you can get a meal or drink and a good breakfast. what more could you ask for for this price.we have already recommended this hotal to lots of our friends and they have loved it.
No shower curtain/door - it was missing.
Staff extremely welcoming. Excellent meal. Stairs are difficult for my wife so having lift access to room was most welcome.
Hotel just near the "Péage". Slightly more expensive than the Ace hotel (100 mtrs away), but it includes a restaurant, bar and a terrace. Good beds. I expected the breakfast to have just a bit more choice. But breads were freshly baked.
Convenience to autoroute and Riom. The facility of a lift to the upper floors. A good buffet breakfast. Reasonably priced menus and pichets of wine. Restaurant service was less than elegant. No seats outside in the extensive grounds.
Excellent dining facilities and helpfull staff. The location next to motorway junction also suited us for exploring the countryside.
Staff were very helpfull. The rooms could do with redecoration, looking very tired. The food was very good in the restaurant.
Very comfortable pleasant hotel Expensive breakfast considering state of the gb Pound v euro so didn't try it.
Very surprised ast how excellent the restaurant was
Room clean and comfortable. Restaurant very pleasant and good menu. Parking a great advantage. Would have liked Air conditioning in our room. Disturbed by coach party arriving late at night in nearby car park and leaving engine running in the morning whilst awaiting passangers to embark.
Clean, spacious - very good location for motorway - although Campanile was not signposted as we came off Exit 13. Good design - comfortable room and very large shower room. 10 minute drive to Riom - very interesting old city - found nice restaurant there too! Handy for Volvic too - well worth a visit. Fairly quiet hotel - considering the proximity of the car park. We were able to have window open at night. Had coffee/tea making facilties in room. Restaurant was quite expensive for a meal that was not particularly good. Only just managed to get a (tight) parking place on one of our nights.
Like all Campaniles I have stayed in, good value and simple but comfortable
Rooms recently renovated. Comfortable bed. Walk in shower.
Good breakfast, reasonable hotel with basic facilities. New hotel, nice looking rooms.
The hotel is very convenient for the autoroute and makes a good overnight stop. It isn't really suitable for a longer stay.
Fantastic! Just what we needed after driving for hours from Calais. Couldn't have been better and more welcoming. Nothing.
We loved the new room design and the restaurant has improved immensly since last we stopped in in a Campanile The hotel provided every thing that we needed - very well
This is a new style Campanile. If you are looking for the old green hotel, you will miss it. Subtle grey colours and a new logo are the order of the day. Restaurant area was a bit like a works canteen
i was happy to stay in the hotel, they have got a swiming pool, but no one clean it. but it was quite calme,i love to stays there~ one thing i don't like is that the night when i arriver there, i can not find the hotel with my GPS, the road was so complex because they were repaire.normally, it takes me 20mins but in fact its 40 mins.
Check in facilities late at night very accomodating and helpful. Require facilities in room to make tea or coffee particularly for late night arrivals and early morning leavers.
Easy to find No tea/coffee making facilities
A very pleasant and helpful receptionist. The hotel was an ideal base as an overnight stopover en route to Spain/England. I have no complaints about my stay.
The staff were all friendly, surprising us with speaking English, and unfailingly helpful and polite.
The rooms smelt of stale cigarette smoke even though they were non smoking. We asked for our triple room to be wheelchair accessible, but it turned out the triple rooms were all on the 1st floor without a lift so had to pay for another room on top of the two already booked.
Very kind staff. Good value for money. Swimmingpool at arrival is very pleasant after a day drive. Good breakfast for a fair price.
Very friendly and very helpful staff; the hotel was very comfortable and the breakfasts were very good
the accueil was wonderfull and it was ok with what we get and what was proposed
Nice atmosphere for a relatively inexpensive hotel. Great resturant.
very good hotel food good made very welcombe
Rustic and quaint character of the hotel, friendlyness, cleanlyness and good food. Out of choice would have preferred "full door" on on bathroom/toilet insted of half swing doors.
Atmosphere, accommodation, decor, food, service and friendly attitude of staff all made for a pleasantly memorable visit.
It was a charming little hotel
very good restaurant blankets on the beds
Great very uncomplicated check in - very helpful and nice. Room was great - food in the restaurant was also very good. Easy place for a stop over. Pictures on the Web-page are really not as nice as the actual rooms.
This was easily the nicest hotel I visited during a tour of France. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean room, good restaurant, easy parking. Highly recommended.
Ideal if you are a food and wine conoisseur, wide range of locally produced cheeses etc. Village in the middle of nowhere. I was expecting a country inn with log fires etc but was disappointed by it's lack of character despite all the antiques.
Food and service very good, excellent menu. Quiet and pleasant location
Convenient for the Puy de Dome and surrounding countryside. Quiet and peaceful. Good swimming pool, tennis court and restaurant.
The position suited our stay and the pool was an asset. The evening meal was very good. We understand the owners are refurbishing the hotel and not all areas are looking good, however the staff need to smarten their appearance and need to be properly trained. The frontage of the hotel was not inviting, plant pots full of weeds!
Friendly atmosphere - competent staff Only ones in the dining room.
very conveinient for the town no
Typical old-style hotel situated in nice old town. Well-maintained, clean, friendly staff.
Staff very helpfull on the reception & spoke perfect English.
The breakfast was awful. The milk was sour and my partner almost broke a tooth trying to eat a piece of toast. It was so bad that we didn't finish it and refused to pay.
spacious room, central loction in the town, good value for money parking could be a problem - no car park at hotel and public carpark a short walk away
big room and central location we just spent one nigth and it was barely ok the bed and sheets were old as if been used by the germans in WW2 , the carpet and flooring seemed as walked by Napoleon himself, shabby aspect of the room and fixtures.
No tea or coffee facilities in room
I was very pleased with the friendly hotel staff. The breakfast room/dining room was elegant. The food was excelent. The hoel was ideally situated. The room was very small. The colour scheme was unnappealing.
the staff were very friendly and the room was spacious and furnished well. the information book was only in french.
Owing to the fact that I arrived in a taxi with my three large dogs owing to my car breakdown I was delighted that the hotel accepted my dogs, this was a tremendous relief. The staff were very helpful and kind. The receptionist was overworked as she was doing everything ,we had to wait for such a long time for help or for our bill owing to the phone ringing constantly.I was surprised that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room .The dining room required previous reservations which was disappointing as we arrived early hoping for dinner.
the restaurant was excellent, it was good to have access to a pool. It was also in walking distance of the town centre.
