Quaint and warm hotel. Good food, frienldy staff. A very plesant and conformtable stay.
Rooms were good, though small. Restaurant service slow, especially during the day.
Helpful staff, very good evening meal. Breakfast a little disappointing, not as much choice as similar hotels in Switzerland
Balcony and the lovely flowers. Very clean bathroom. Allowed us to have 2 dogs in the room with a small charge. Easy parking. Breakfast could have been better. Only one choice of meat and cheese. Typically Swiss breakfasts have 3-4 choices for each.
The staff is incredibly friendly - even leaving us some chocolates in our room to congratulate us on our honeymoon. The room was spacious, and the view from the balcony was absolutely unbeatable. The comforter is heavenly - like sleeping in a cloud. The restaurant was delicious - we had a rosti like none other there for dinner. The breakfast is also quite good. This is a very small thing, but the staff does not speak English very well (this is true in most of Grimentz) so be prepared with your english- french phrase book if you come here. Honestly it was no big deal, and absolutely worth it in order to visit this amazing town. Also, I think this is common in Switzerland since we encountered this other places as well - but the pillows are very, very soft - to the point where we were tossing and turning a little.
nice cosy hotel, pleasant staff, good restaurant, large parking area. Would definitely stay again...
clean, very friendly personnel, cosy hotel that is well worth a 3 star soft bed's mattrass causing sleeping difficulties
Helpfull and kind personnel. Soft down pillows (the only ones with which I can sleep without getting headaches in the morning). Simple, uncomplicated breakfasts with local breads and cheese. Enough of good coffee. Internet access in the room. The view from the small balcony was perhaps not as nice as expected. People from the restaurant smoking under the balconies. I'm strictly a non-smoker.
Do you know a hotel where it is possible to observe every evening 20-30 deer and more than 10 chamois grazing in front of you? The Cristal hotel offers you just that! Please do not forget your binoculars… Additionally, the personnel are very kind and helpful and you will have a fantastic restaurant at your disposal with a charming and extremely kind and competent chef. Just try the “steak tartare avec frites”, a knockout! If you would like to watch the TV from your bed, you will have to bend it toward you by shifting a thin book underneath… but be careful!
staff was very nice need renovation specially for the bathrooms
The receptionist was a very friendly man. The location was in the centre of town. Parking facilities The room was completely obsolete. Asked for a double bed, but got 2 separate (small) beds. Quality of bed (mattrass) was under level. The whole room needs urgently some renovation. TV gave very poor picture, mainly snow.
My room is tidy and the space is good enough for family.
cleanliness of the room the decor is old
The hotel was quiet The reception was closed when we wanted to check in @ 1pm Sunday
The room was very adequate and there was a bath in the bathroom. Good breakfast with helpful staff. Very convenient for railway station and the funicular. The entrance in the side passage could be better signed. We entered through the cafe which was busy at the time.
Very close to the station and mountains Breakfast not included, room very basic and no double rooms only twins. Staff spoke no English at all. A very basic, bottom of the range hotel
Good location, not too far from train station, and close to the fumicular. The staff was quite friendly. The food served in the hotel is okay too. The room was hot - no air conditioning or fan. Also, rather noisy from the traffic outside, even at night.
Wasn't there long, but it was pleasant enough. Smoking in the lobby, and it could use either renovation or a bit of deep cleaning.
Staff are very helpful & can communicate in English
Tout à fait de première qualité sous tous les aspects. Le village aussi est très joli et accueillant.
Our arrival coincided with a village fair in Vercorin on the theme "chocolat and health", and the Victoria's restaurant had adapted its menu to this theme - which was an excellent idea ! Apart from that, the view over the village and the mountains was worth the trip.
Excellent facilites - newly refurbished room. Good food. Friendly staff. Quiet location. Slightly slow service for meals. Unfortunate that parking was a long way off because of a festival.
In the middle of Vercorin, a unique ski town experience
Good service, charming and friendly staff, excellent evening meals, beautiful scenery and peace and quiet.
What a location Unbelievable panoramic view over the Rhone Valley from the bed room and breakfast room, well worth the 10 km narrow road up to the village with hairpin curves. Many US drivers will probably get a heat attack before they arrive. They would be missing a very special place. Great attention by Frederic and his small staff. Wonderful raqulette on Sunday evening, made by the Boss himself
Beautiful dining room. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast.
Excellent location with a fantastic view over the valley and mountains. The restaurant had very good food.
