Breakfast, when available , was good.It was clean and reasonably priced Service! Breakfast not availble until 7 30 -though work starts very early in Crete. Laundry service chaotic. Room service bad (long menu, but only limited choice avaible in room). In my view not suitable for the business traveller
the staffs were really helpful, has good location and good swimming pool the hotel is rather old, needs renovation
I enjoyed having the pool and the brekfast was always of a good standard. The staff were extremey polite, courteous and helpful. The rooms are slightly dated.
1. It is situated on an extremely noisy corner. The glass doors of the room opening onto the balcony, were not sound-proofed. 2. Smoking permitted in the breakfast-dining room.
Location was ok. Near a very small beach but still a 2o min walk to nice and big beach Staff was not very helpful. One lied to our face multiple times (we now because we asked the same question to another staff member). The bed was extremely uncomfortable and throughout 5 nights I awoke with over 12 different bug bites and was forced to go buy itch medicine. Also, after putting a do not disturb sign on the door, our room was cleaned and a jacket that was on the bed went missing.
I stayed for 4 days at Kriti hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect, between the old port and the new port. the staff is polite One of the reasons I chose the hotel was because it had wi-fi internet connection. It seemed that the wi-fi doesn' t apply for all the rooms of the hotel , so if you are unlucky and you get the wrong room, you won t be able to get connected to the internet, which is very inconvenient! Plus, it s not free. you get charged 3 euros for 1 hour, 5 for 2 hours.
The hotel is near to the bus station as well as the old port. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was bright and clean and had a flat panel lcd tv.
Amazing value for money. I am a frequent traveler, and I am not exaggerating in saying that it is such a rarity to enjoy a hotel stay that much! The hotel is brand new, clean and comfortable. The staff was absolutely fantastic, beyond the usual Greek hospitality. There was 24 hour reception service, and the hotel is conveniently located in the center of Chania. Overall, at this price, I am sure there is no better place to stay in that area, and I look forward to visiting again. Parking is an issue, but this is a general problem in the entire city. There is no wireless connection, but I am sure the staff will work on that pretty soon.
It was a very good stay. Friendly staff, big and clean rooms, and very close to the city center. It is worth the money by far.
new and nice. in the center. poor breakfast
The hotel was excellent in all respects. Clean, Friendly, Cheap. Good Breakfast. Location is fantastic. Between new town and old venetian quarters; 5 minutes from the bus station and the fabulous market. It is a family run hotel and our hosts were really helpful. They suggested a tour for us to hike through the Samaria Gorge. It was as cheap as doing it ourselves and much more satisfactory. The rooms are not huge but are lovely, bathrooms fine and air conditioning excellent! Another great help is that there is a huge sign on the top of the hotel, visible from the big town market. It helped me find my way twice. Another big advantage is its price - so cheap for the quality.
Casa Leone is a fantastic boutique hotel in a setting with great views of the picturesque Venetian port of Chania. We were made just so welcome from the moment we arrived and this continued throughout our stay. The owner Nikos, supported by Antonia and Maria were all fabulous looking after our every need with information provided on things to see, restaurants etc. There was a delicious breakfast served each morning in the main reception room with home cooked pastries from Nikos' wife - a highlight. Our room overlooking the courtyard was very spacious and peaceful and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
The owner is very nice, makes you feel comfortable.great location, your right in the center.
Situation: very near the old harbour and many good restuarants and little shops No lift (we were on 2nd floor & had heavy suitcases), no reception, no breakfast, no balcony.
I enjoyed the clean room and the service I received at Imeros. Everything is withing walking distance of the town.
The host were great hope to see them again during my next vacation to Hellas. None.
It's in the historical center, in one of the turistic pedestrian narrow street. The rooms are recently renewed and air conditioning was working. The reception is in one of the little shops, so opens at 10am and closes at 12 pm. The receptionists were kind and helpfull. Very difficult to park in the centre. we had some problems with the shower which was without curtain and so there was always a lot of water on the floor.
Very clean rooms and excellent location right in the heart of the old town. Shopping and great restaurants literally on your doorstep! There is a roof terrace with a nice view and for €55 per night in peak season (mid August) it was very reasonable. No shower curtain so bathroom "floods"; the double bed was a small double and therefore a squeeze for two people.
- Great position near the harbor and the center of old town - Friendly staff - It would have been nicer if the bathroom whould have had a shower curtain.
good location large room this rooms for rent are not suitable for people with kids they don't have non baby cod no water heater lot of stairs to get at the room only shower no certain risk for accidents
Perfect location the old town was on the doorstep, lovely surroundings, the owners were so friendly, The room was simple yet perfect for are requirements a trip for me my sister & mother on a budget. I would most definitely go to Chania again & would try to stop in Imeros again. suitable for couples, or friends wanting to explore the old town/new town, it only took 15 mins to get to the beach too. We found all the best restaurants were so close to were we were staying (not the ones around the port) one of my favourite holidays an amazing place. no it was perfect, the pictures on the page were exactly the same as the room.
location is near chania port. walking distance within the old town. well chania is relatively small. the location of the hotel in their website or even in booking.com should state it is in chania port or say it is behind starbucks in chania port. i had a hard time looking for the place even the greek cab driver from the airport doesn't know the street name. he only knows the landmark as old chania port
i did enjoy the large room that i had and the fact that it is close to the center of the city i would prefer to have shutter on the window because the curtains did not block entirely the morning sun but for someone who wakes up early that won't be a problem
very expensive for its category 3star, it needs redecoration, the mini bar of the room is too expensive, for example a 50ml bottle of water costs 1,50 euros when u can find it outside 0,40 - 0,50 euros decoration, prices.
The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room looked out over the adjacent park and was not overlooked. There was parking under the hotel for small cars. Breakfast was very good. Location in the centre of Chania was perfect.
Smallish but well appointed room with balcony (not mentioned in booking literature) overlooking a park. Central location, ten minutes walk to harbour. Some parking under the hotel. Air con was switched off overnight
The Wifi was intermittent at best. No pool The A/C was cool at best...not cold at all The parking garage can't accommodate any larger than a "small" compact car (i.e. Smart car, Mini Cooper)
The central position in Chania town, The hotel is luxurious and clean. The buffet breakfast is various and fresh. And th staff is kind, professional and helpfull
We liked the location (near downtown) and the quiet environment. We did not like a) the lack of a real air conditioning system ( we could not sleep for two nights and, eventually, moved to another hotel) b) the dated furniture c) the lack of adequate light in the room (they seem to save money even on the light bulbs...)
The family running the hotel is extremely friendly and provides excellent service. They are very concerned about the comfortability of the guests and are ever willing and ready to offer recommendations about sights, beaches and restaurants. Additionally, the breakfast is a sumptuous spread with good quality food, certainly the best breakfast I've had during my stay in Greece. No complaints. Certainly the friendliest hotel during my stay in Greece.
The service was impeccable. Nikos treated us like his own family. The bathroom is a bit small and lacks a shower curtain.
friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent breakfast, hospitality tiny WC, no WiFi in my room, no parking, poor lighting
Family owned hotel, very nice staff. Excellent breakfast!!!
breakfast was great, nikos was very helpful and saw to all our needs as we travelled with a baby . stairs !
people running the hotel are unbelievably friendly, helpful, always smiling and giving their best to all guests. Hotel is positioned in excellent spot for walks in old city and old port. Breakfast always a pleasant surprise, with local specialties. the bathroom of the room was remarkably small, but the overall experience surpassed this small detail in our wonderful journey
Good, but unremarkable hotel. Good location in the center of the old town of Chania. Window with view on a somewhat dirty enclosed space. Not too much light from the outside. A bit expensive for what you get.
Convenient location (we were in the heart of Chania on Crete). The hotel was clean and priced well. 2 Suggestions: 1) Finding the hotel using the driving directions provided on the bookings website proved to be difficult. Suggestion would be for better directions to be provided 2) We were a party of 4 girls so we had 2 rooms. Room 202 was pleasant and had a rooftop view. It also had a view into the bathroom of the room below us so we could see our other friend showering. We brought this to the attnetion of the staff at the hotel so hopefully they will do something to cover the skylights in the future.
Very close to the old port atractions of Hania, Good price. Slightly noisy but not that bad.
The room was just wonderful. Decorated in creation style with a balcony over looking the harbor of old town chania. We were served breakfast on our balcony in the morning which was wonderful viewing the tourist. The Belmondo is located on the harbor within walking distance to shopping.
Vert centrally located hotel in a pedestrian street. You cannot arrive to the door of the hotel by your car, however no traffic noises at all. In the middle of everything. Friendly and very welcoming staff. Big enough room. Better if you can stay in a seaview room to feel the city and the small port. Very good value for your money. Bath curtains were dirty and the minibar was not working well. No hairdryer. The walls must be too thin, you can listen to any movement in the hotel. A bit lazy housekeeping.
Fast broadband internet access. Cooked breakfast buffet. The hotel room was a bit grubby and the tv was tiny and mistuned.
The hotel was good at walking distance from Chania Center, but aloud at the back of the hotel Ithought that the price/quality equilevant was not precisely accurate
not bad... ...but definitely not a 4 star hotel.
they turn off the airconditioning in the middel of the night.you are waking up in a "sauna" and ask them to turn it on.
The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Very well situated, a quick walk to the main town center for eating and shopping. Excellent small restaurents close by with great food and friendly service. Close to the beach. The breakfast was fantastic. Very clean rooms.
