Location location location
Dead bugs in the tub, very limited parking options
Severe water damage to room. Looked dirty and smelled damp and moldy, like it had been flooded with the last hurricane and not redone. There were college kids on the balconies yelling at all hours of the night.
You could not beat the location. Just walk right out your door and 'BAM' you are in the heart of it.
It is old. There is mold/mildew in the bathtub. Water was scorching hot sometimes and I burned myself. Water dripped from faucet. Dust all over the place. Bones under the bed.The cafe on site 'Toast' is great and you can't beat the location. If parking was full, there was additional parking right across the street and the hotel paid for it. We knew from the reviews that this would be the typical 'Days Inn' you would expect. Modest and old amenities, somewhat dirty and dusty... but with two babies, it beats driving and finding parking. You literally walk right into the heart of it! Excellent location, just don't hang out in your room.
Central to historic district.
Water going from hot to cold in shower.
Location superb. Hotel needs renovation.
New carpet, bedspreads and curtains would really help. Looks run down.
Location!!!The hotel is located in a fantastic location within walking distance to everything. There was on site parking that was free to us, but we also stayed during low season and in the middle of the week. They do not offer a breakfast which would have been nice for the price of the room. However, there is a great breakfast place called Toast beside the hotel that will not disappoint. I would stay there again, but only if the price was about the same as we paid on this trip. The price was a ittle high for what you get, but the location was perfect!
Bugs, rude staffIf you don't plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel and it's a one or two night stay, the locations worth it. For an extended stay, I would oh elsewhere. We were only there one night and I was ready. The bed was uncomfortable and there were a couple of bugs in the tub. The staff was not friendly when asked questions.
Needs updating bad, rooms were in ruff shape, but cleanManaged well, just needs some work
The location is fabulous--very close to the public market and many wonderful restaurants and attractions.
The hotel was fine but it showing some age.The hotel is like an old fashioned motel with many rooms and parking spaces. This seemed unusual because the location is so fabulous. There is a small pool which we used even though it was October. The rooms still use old fashioned puffy bedspreads which I haven't seen in awhile but expect those will be updated.
