Pros: Check-in was very easy. Rooms are great, the bathroom had such nice tiles, white and blue. Beds are very comfortable. It’s only 2 minutes to the main attractions but the house itself is in the second road to the main road so it is very quiet. Breakfast was ordered the day before and you get a lot of things in buffet form. The things you order before are freshly made by the wife and the husband serves it. The couple is just wonderful.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a charming historic building carefully given a new lease of life. Loved the fire in the guest library/ check in & the introductory tour. We stayed in the Treasury - many of the rooms were completely charming. Breakfast was good & well-cooked.
Cons: I would have liked to have a bedside light; there were two in the room with two beds (ie sleeping three), but the second could not be moved to the side of the double bed. I would also prefer not to be troubled by 'housekeeping' on my first morning, especially as the water element of it did not reappear till late afternoon. Actually cannot believe the water in this place is not potable, despite the sign.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Louise and Miriam very friendly and helpful. The Garden Suite at back very nice with loveseat and small table/chairs. The Orchard also at back lovely with king-size bed. Both with hardwood floors, big window and fans. Lots of outlets and USB port. Common area with books, tv and pamphlets. Delicious breakfast options. Miriam’s husband is a butcher. Loved the fresh homemade brown bread. Lots of stairs to climb but well carpeted. Large bottle of water provided but you may want more for drinking. You can buy at Spar next door. Next to that is Clancy’s friendly pub with live music. Some private parking and easy to get nearby street parking. Bruff close to Lough Gur and the not-to-be-missed Old Irish Ways Museum.
Cons: Shower in The Orchard room was temperamental. The Garden Suite one was fine. No face cloth (but most places in Ireland don’t seem to have them.)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent! Delicious homemade muffins and other very good food.

Pros: Great B&B managed by great owners who are working hard to give the best. Breakfast quality was a highlight, along with the friendliness of the owner Miriam and her staff. Pros: Mountain Biking mecha! It’s more like a hotel than anything else. Really really clean, quiet, lots of facilities, safe place for any type of traveller. We (3 of us) came down to get into the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails, it’s 7 mins drive from the trail head. Showers are huge and clean, the owners are super friendly and we even made a little too much noise but they where so polite in asking us to keep it down for other guests. It really is the perfect location if your taking advantage of nature or a nice town.

Pros: Hosts Seamus and Theresa were so helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to help me feel welcomed by telling me about their hostel and the local area. This hosteI is one of the very best I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in quite a few. Sparkling clean throughout, totally modern facility with good wifi and nice lounge, very comfortable beds. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were super comfy, probably some of the best sleep I've gotten in months. Decor is top notch, with lots of thought and craftsmanship from the owners on show. The cleanliness of the bathrooms, plus water pressure and temperature. Open fire a great touch. Kitchen is massive and very inviting. Super hospitality and good vibes.
Cons: I didn't get a chance to pet the dogs or go mountain biking nearby...next time! Same applies for the foosball table, I'll just have to come back I suppose.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is definitely something more than a hostel. Very friendly owners, access to everything you need, storage for bikes, well equipped kitchen, clean showers, not far from shops/pubs, the best place to stay if you are planning mountain biking in Balyhoura. Definitely recommended!
Cons: nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities, with bike room, drying room, and a large and well-equipped kitchen Beds and rooms were very comfortable Great hospitality from Seamus and Teresa! Ranks near my all-time top hostel experiences for convenience, hospitality, and comfort!
Cons: Wish I had booked more than one night...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property is beautifully set up with custom furnishings throughout. The beds are very comfortable with big fluffy pillows. There are ample shower facilities and a full kitchen with every tool imaginable to use. They have a sauna and game area as well as a living room with fireplace and large screen television. They build a fire every night. There is a common room with television and dining area in addition to the living room. The owners are on sight and they make sure your very comfortable and all your needs met. The owner also spent an hour with me mapping out the best places to go for the rest of my trip. That alone is valuable! There is also plenty of parking and it is gated for safely. Laundry services are available as well. I would stay here for the remainder of my vacation and cancel all other Hostels if they had a room to spare sadly they are booked. I rate this Hostel as a perfect 10!

Pros: food excellent
Cons: 15 yr old not allowed swim at 8 am before breakfast even though pool was almost empty on monday morning. we were booking out that morning so it was too late after breakfast as he could not swim for an hour after eating

Pros: The food was outstanding! Extra touches like the vanilla apple compote at breakfast made my tastebuds smile! A perfect stay in a beautiful setting!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean, large room.
Cons: Incredibly long walk from parking/lobby to room. No elevator. Pool use requires purchase of swim cap and swim shoes.
5.8 Okay
Cons: No safe in room, breakfast room poor, no shower in bathroom (had to stand in bath to shower), overall interior of Hotel "tired"
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff in all departments were very friendly and polite. The bed was of good quality but found the duvet much too heavy for the time of the year.
Cons: We arrived just as a wedding party was coming in so it was a bit of a battle to check in. While the room was very nice it lacked personality. For the price of the room I would have expected some bottled water to be supplied as standard. The bathroom seemed unfinished - The location of the shower head didn't seem right so didn't enjoy using it and I didnt enjoy have to climb into the bath to have a shower. The shower curtain was about two inches above the bath so the floor got soaked. No body lotion either or toilet roll holder. We went to the bar to have a drink before dinner - again pleasant staff but most tables were covered with dirty glasses and the carpet there could do with a clean. We had dinner and breakfast during our stay and can only describe the food as very average. Overall for the price of our stay I expected a lot more. We stayed at another hotel in Adare the following night, for less money and it certainly had the wow factor. On checking out I was asked how was my stay and I replied that it was just Ok, no response!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service, beds, food
7.5 Good
Pros: Reva's Spa at the Woodlands is amazing. The monthly offers are just the best value and so relaxing. Rooms are spacious and the bed is comfy.
Cons: In the spa they should have swimwear dryers. Its so awful to have wet swimwear in a plastic bag (very environmentally friendly). We stayed the night after the spa and we had to hang the wet clothes in the bathroom - no towel rail! The robes and slippers are very shabby and could do with an uplift. TV in the room was v temperamental. The breakfast was good, however it was Good Friday and normally Irish people don't eat meat on this day however when I asked for a side of smoked salmon I was informed it wold cost an extra €5. Not appropriate.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host was very accommodating! She gave us access to the sitting/breakfast room from the start. She was even nice enough when our 3 year old was really loud at an inconvenient time. We wish we had more time to spend there with her. Breakfast was a delight and even though it's run out of her house at 2 small tables, you wouldn't know how many guests she has because she cleans up so quickly after ones have left.
Cons: It would have been really convenient if the sitting room had some toys for little ones to play with. As it was we were constantly moving back napkins or other breakfast related items because it was in the same room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely people, great welcome. Rooms was as described, great en suite facilities and the breakfast was a feast in itself. Evening meals aren't provided but there's cracking restaurant/pub right next door which offers great value meals and a great service. Just off the main Limerick - Cork road but you'd think you were out in the middle of the countryside - ideal for a great night sleep.

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent we had a lovely table by the window and service was good,Food was grea. Staff lovely and our King size bed was amazing ,the separate changing area is a great idea.
Cons: I thought the overall look of the hotel was old fashioned and could do with a freshing up especially the bar area,we stayed in Room 65 and had a difficult time finding it in the beginning as it was not numbered on any of the signs
8.3 Excellent
Pros: An excellent breakfast was served. Staff were attentive but not invasive. Bed was very comfortable. Get shower and good TV/streaming facility
Cons: Lounge areas were unused and consequently a little musty. The hotel layout didn't make the most of the public areas I think. Bar seating was hard and upright - it needed a greater variety of seating.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The setting in a beautiful village, an old historical inn with charm you cannot get in a modern hotel. The staff were very friendly polite & professional
Cons: The only quip was the mattress was to high on the four poster bed. It was very comfortable but you would need a ladder to get in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and comfortable
Cons: I had 3 occasions - in 24 hours - to ask a staff member not to walk away from me but to deal with my matter. Checking in, checking out etc
2.5 Mediocre

Pros: Location is fabulous, right across from Adare Manor (where we went for drinks). Our room was spacious and I really liked having the additional counter, sink, and mirror outside the bathroom. Breakfast was good.
Cons: This is an old hotel and it looks very "tired." It is in need of updating, but that could affect the cost once that's done. We paid 200 euros for one night. That's the only bad thing I have to say.
