Just a few meters from the lake, with a sandy beach and the phenomenal mountains beyond, it is the perfect place to come and do nothing. There is lots to do if you want, but you do not have to do anything if you would just like to relax.Atnarko Lodge was established 1999. We have 3 guest rooms we also serve meals. There are different activities available. Kajak, Canoe and fishing boat rentals, Quad Tours (canadaquad.com), Horseback trail rides and hiking. Right from the lodge you can find a few easy hiking trails. One is towards our great public beach (approx. 40 Min. one way walking distance) with an incredible view toward the main lake and the Coast Mountain range. Another trail follows Engadin Road and brings you up to a view point above the lake. (Approx. 1 hour round trip)
Pros: The host Daniel, was especially friendly with a great sense of humour. He was very accommodating and concerned about our needs and comfort. We all liked him a great deal. Also the meals were very good, well presented and served.
Pros: Fantastic location and cabins! Quiet secluded place, owned and operated by really friendly gentleman. The cabin was spotless clean and food was great!
Pros: The lodge matched its pristine wilderness location . The lodge and cabins were immaculate and Daniel and staff the consumate hosts. The European style meals were excellent and very reasonably priced. Three of our group thoroughly enjoyed the ATV half day tour, and we all enjoyed the float plane flight seeing Daniel arranged for us. We also took advantage of the kayaks.
Cons: Nothing.. Guests need to be aware of limited electricity so cabins not brightlyl lit or sporting multiple outlets and the last section of road a bit rough.
Pros: An unique place in BC to stay for a few days or longer. The nature is pure and beautiful. The lodges are very nice. The lake is clean and good for al kind of activities, we did swim two time, it was refreshing!. We had our meals made for us, from breakfast to the dinner and we enjoyed it very much. Daniel is a perfect and helpful host. When you want to go hiking, kayaking, swimming, hunting or just want to relax and enjoy the view. This is the place to be. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. A very special spot in BC. And don't forget the woodfired hottub with a grand view!!
Cons: We could only stay for 3 days.
