Pros: Great location, very peaceful and Madame was very helpful. My room was a good size and the en-suite bathroom lovely. Breakfast was very good, with everything I could want, even though I ate very little. This is one of these little gems, decorated to a very high standard, with a warm welcome.
Cons: Cash only, which would not have been a problem had I known. As it was I had to search out a bank which wasn't a problem as there was a cashpoint about 8kms away

Pros: Shower in bathroom was good. Jams homemade were nice.
Cons: The map does not show the exact location. It is a long way from where the map indicates down a dirt track. When we arrived 3 hours after making the booking they didn't even know we were arriving. They had not checked their email!!! They speak very little English. Very confusing to say the least. We had to wait for them to get the room ready!!! Breakfast was limited could be better variation.
Pros: Very spacious, nicely decorated rooms and friendly staff.

Cons: No doors to the bathroom that connected to the bedroom , just a curtain. It did not give enough comfort or intimacy for me
Pros: Very nice place, wonderful host/hostess. Fantastic breakfast.
Pros: Beautiful attic suite with painted ceiling, sky windows, big bathroom. Wonderful food, quiet except for occasionally church bellse.
Cons: Nothing it was the best part of our 6 country tour so far.
With a stay at Le Tronçais in Saint-Bonnet-Troncais, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Troncais Forest and Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil.
Pros: Nice and clean with big rooms and comfortable beds. Beautiful gardens and house.
Pros: Room was basic but clean, quiet and comfortable. A great stopping point in the middle of France and a lot nicer than a characterless motorway motel if you don't mind driving off route for 10 minutes. Dinner was a real surprise. We would go back again next time we are passing just for the dinner. Breakfast was traditional continental with a good selection and decent coffee.
Cons: Room was a bit basic.
Pros: The owner was very affable and welcoming, and very efficient. Food was very good. Quiet location, it was a very peaceful night.
Cons: The bathroom was rather old and run down, though adequate.
Pros: - staff super caring & friendly - dinner was delicious - hotel has a cute french charme - located in nature
Pros: The evening food, the location, the staff, the room..everything
Cons: Breakfast could have been better
Pros: Lovely setting. Very nice restaurant.
Pros: Lovely food. A cheese platter trolley choice to die for! Great Breakfast. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Great walks around the lake. Very handy for dogs. Tranquil surroundings. Bedroom a little cramped but remote from main building. |Good for dog again.
Cons: Nothing to particularly dislike.
Pros: Great dinner and breakfast! The owner clearly has a good eye for detail and attention for the guests. The dinner on the outside terrace, surrounded by the forest, was delicious, as well as the breakfast
Pros: Unexpectedly attractive location... very pretty building. Marvellous food... beautifully appointed restaurant.
Pros: Lovely tranquil location. Staff really friendly and helpful. Absolutely superb meal in their restaurant- best we’ve had in years. Nice lake beside hotel which was perfect for a stroll after dinner.
Cons: Slightly basic rooms and could do with some modernisation. Having said that I’d happily stay there again as the restaurant was excellent.

Guests at Hotel Du Parc can enjoy a continental breakfast. The accommodation offers a terrace. Cycling is among the activities that guests can enjoy near Hotel Du Parc. Pros: Quirky place, old house with old accompaniments furniture etc Nice Didn't have breakfast
Cons: Internet was very slow and only occasionally reached our room
Pros: A beautiful old French house. Was given a present of a bottle of wine and a jar of jam when we left. Very friendly staff. Sancoins market is special...lots of livestock and produce for sale and no tourists.
Cons: Nothing. You need to be quite athletic to get into the bath.
Pros: If you would like to experience lte atmosphere of an elegant and slightly quirky rather grand French house you will love the ambiance of this place, it's like being a guest in someone's private house. Room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom well equipped. Very large and interesting Wednesday market in the town.
Cons: We were OK with it but you may or may not like sharing breakfast with the other guests around the beautiful oval dining table.
Pros: Very spacious room
Pros: The location is fine, close to bars and restaurants and away from the constant rumbling of trucks, so it was quiet. Room was cheap but I got what I paid for. Sorry, I can't really find much to like.
Cons: This was the first time I've arrived at a hotel and they claimed I had no reservation. Once I showed the booking.com confirmation, it was ok. The man who greeted me hardly looked like an employee - looked more like he'd walked off Cronulla beach. I had the single room on the top floor where the wifi was terrible, the carpet marked and not clean, and no blind for the window. The bed was lumpy. Didn't like the external toilet. Shower (in the room) was not great. Not the fault of the hotel but other (male) guests were really noisy and tried to break into my room during the afternoon. I had to yell at them.
Pros: The history of this property is everywhere. from the rooms to the furniture. Unfortunately older furniture is often difficult to keep looking great and not as comfortable as is available now.
Cons: The bed was quite hard and the property will need AC for summer, it was very hot and difficult to cool.
Pros: The hosts were fabulous ! They took a lot of time to make sure we were comfortably situated, and when they learned that we had no specific plans for the following day, they suggested the nearby town of Bourges - which was a wonderful visit. We made dinner reservations at the Chambre d'hote for the next night and they served us a luxurious meal with vegetables grown in his garden and an appropriate wine selection. I would recommend this stay for my fellow Americans who would like to experience a true French Chambre d'Hote.
Cons: We liked everything, but we also realize that sharing the toilette facilities with other guests would be a cultural adjustment for many Americans. Just know that you have your own, very modern bath that you share with no one, and you have wonderful hosts that want to help you to share in the French experience.
Pros: Very traditional and very French including the wonderful food. Delightful!
Cons: Squeaky bed.
Pros: Wow, what a lovely property, just like in fairy tales. We’ve stayed for just one night but I wanted to stay for more. The property has a unique style and every detail is chosen carefully. The owners are so lovely and they want you to feel relaxed and comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Pros: It was clean. Friendly staff. Nice location.
Pros: Charming Staff, excellent service. Very good wine list.
Cons: I wish the room had a hairdryer provided as standard.
Pros: Old fashioned French hotel. Good secure parking for my motorcycle in garage off the courtyard.
Cons: A bit noisy at night due to bridge closure nearby and diverted trucks. Short term only though. Will be back next year.
Pros: Clean,comfortable,food excellent
Pros: The location & the excellent food
Cons: Very warm
Pros: Stayed here last year.Really good old fashioned French hotel. Great restaurant at sensible prices. Garage parking for my motorcycle. Will be back.
Pros: Pleasant location in the town square, a few km from the main road, but easy enough to find. Typical older-type French hotel, but all clean, tidy and comfortable. Reasonably priced restaurant serving good local specialities. The receptionist lady was particularly helpful, as I had forgotten some travel documents which I had emailed to the hotel and she kindly printed them for me.
Cons: Nothing, it was all as advertised
Pros: Clean & comfortable with great food
Pros: Old fashioned French hotel. Great value for money, lovely food in the restaurant, clean and very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: It took ages to get a drink!

Pros: This is a delightful, friendly, quiet place to stay, in a very beautiful part of the country, well off the beaten track, and yet quite accessible from the A75. The food in the restaurant is amazing - delicious, inventive without being annoying, beautifully presented, and all done with a great deal of care and love.
Pros: Quiet and fab location
Pros: Lovely old water mill restored in a beautiful way. Restaurant was amazing expensive but worthy of a Michigan star.
Cons: Shower entrance was difficult. Ok for small people but would be difficult if you were larger.
Pros: The location of the property is very good, being quiet and peaceful and surrounded by countryside. The staff were very helpful and easy to communicate with and quick to accommodate our needs.
Cons: Standard room was not as big or as comfortable as we have been used to at about same price. Menus were limited and quality of food was overrated and very expensive. Wine was particularly expensive. This is the only hotel we have been to where the cost of the room was taken from our debit card just a few days after booking (some six months before our stay) yet we were billed again for the room when we left. Fortunately we had a copy of our debit card statement with us and were able to prove that we had already paid.
Pros: Nice hotel. Room ok. Meals not as good as the promos led us to believe.
Cons: Rooms quite Spartan.
Pros: Owner & staff were very welcoming, professional & friendly without overstepping the mark & becoming too familiar. The food was excellent & lived up to its reputation.
Cons: Nothing! Enjoyed the whole experience.
Pros: Lovely view of the garden from the window. Food was fabulous!!
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: A nice terras and good helpfull personel
Cons: The bedroom is not comfortable. The bed is small, too tiny and the bedding is cheap quality. Also the bathroom. The relation between price and quality of the dinner and drinks is out of proportion. Prices are far to high for what you get.
Pros: Calm location, good swimming pool, charming house with attractive seating outside.
Cons: Bedrooms and bathroom need updating. Main course veal dry whereas the book on renaissance dish mentioned it should be “moelleux”
Pros: Beautiful setting Good priced rooms Nice swimming pool
Cons: Unless you have built in a very special meal as part of the stay the prices in the restaurant were way too high (29 euros for a starter)

Pros: Excellant restaurant and the view from the room window of the church was wonderful.
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom. And the shower didn't have a lot of pressure
Pros: A very quiet room and bed was comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom was very small and it was difficult to get into the shower.
Pros: A big room with friendly management and the restaurant was nice too. It's set up like a motel with rooms in a separate building at the back of the main building. The room looked exactly like the photos on Booking.com. Great shower, bed good and extra seating. Nice to have outside seating in a nice garden. Good wifi. Really quiet at night except for church bells. Breakfast was right for the price. There's a nice bar next door with good coffee. They open later on a Monday but contacted me to let me know. They advertise that they speak English but tolerate terrible French if you're keen to practice.
Cons: The room was a little overpriced given the location.
Cons: Nice warm owner. Everything clean and confortable
With a stay at Hôtel du Pont Neuf in Le Veurdre, you'll be 11.9 mi (19.1 km) from Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours and 12.7 mi (20.5 km) from Chateau Bourbon-l'Archambault. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The owners superb food excellent Bed comfortable
Cons: The place is good but could do with updating and a little TLC
Pros: The Logis was charming and our hosts welcoming. The food was very good. The room was basic but adequate for our needs. The shower was bigger than others we encountered travelling through France.
Cons: The hotel decor was a bit dated.
Pros: Big room with good ensuite opening out on to the pool friendly, helpful staff, good restaurant.
Cons: No air conditioning
Pros: The staff and owners were very helpful and the pool was a bonus as there is not much in the area to do.
Cons: We didn't like the musty Smell in the rooms, the bathroom that leaked water into two of the rooms. The dirty underwear in my daughters bed!!! The handles that fell of the windows. No air con and a feeling of being inclean. There were stains on the carpets. Dirty face clothes in the bathroom. A very expensive hotel for what you got. €10 for a breakfast with no choice!
Pros: After a day's walking the welcome was warm. We were even greeted in three languages. Thank you, Marianne. Our room was in the rear near the pool and garden. So very quiet.
Cons: The restaurant was a little bit expensive.
Pros: Very nice hotel and very good restaurant. That is good because the hotel is a bit out of the way there is nothing except a tiny village with nothing else than a church. The hotel is good and clean with large rooms (we were in the new building). The grounds (garden, more like a park) are very nice as well.
