Very friendly owners and staff and good quality restaurant/bistro. Vivonne itself is simply magnificent and I would visit again (and plan to) without hesitation. Thanks, Mia, for a lovely experience. Very slightly haphazard system of 'checking-in' at the restaurant (due to the late hour) but it mattered not a jot.
Lovely family hotel and resturant No English TV-breakfast could be more varied
The owners were extremely helpful, their restaurant food and service was excellent, even the buffet breakfast was most enjoyable. Ww hope to say longer next time.
Location and frienliness of proprietors Unfortunately to have ventilation the window needed to be open. The Hotel is quite near to a railway line operating The TGV and was quite noisy at times along with the fact that it is next to a church with bells!
The staff were very attentive and friendly Only a shower attachment to the bath taps, so no surrounding shield to prevent spillage to floor
We loved the hotel and its situation in the lovely village of Vivonne. The room and bed were most comfortable. We would have liked air conditioning and it was in need of a little up dating. The decoration was a little shabby.
At first site room looked a bit tired but we warmed to it. It has an excellent restaurant on the opposite side of the road split in to high or low cuisine to suit your pocket. Car parking to the rear of the hotel was useful. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Front faces onto a narrow street and traffic noise was quite penetrating. If you live in a city it probably wouldn't worry you.
Pleasant staff, good food, very quiet, reasonable prices for food and drinks. Bed was a fold out and was not the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
Nice and peasefull
The hotels location was very nice, rooms ok No internet, (stated that there was). One person on duty, no meal in the evening fully booked (10 only)set meal
Fixed price 20 Euros for three course excellent meals with three choices
Helpful reception, nice grounds Disappointed that the restaurant, although advertised, was closed and had been for 12 months
The hotel was clean; the pool area was clean; the manager was friendly - we didn't see any other staff. The main reason we had chosen the hotel was because it had a restaurant, we were told on arrival that the restaurant was fully booked for dinner; the recommended alternative was closed on the night. By the time we got to breakfast within the alloted time there were two slices of ham and cheese and three small croissants - I was travelling with my husband and son.
Fantastic food Rooms smelt of stale cigerette smoke
Excellent dinner. Secure parking. Nice little town. Minimal breakfast. No wall fixture for the shower head.
Staff were friendly but spoke no English. Although rooms had adequate facilities, rooms were lacking comfort with not even a mat on the floor & looked very cheap & cheerless. The meal we booked was described as "gourmet" but was a 3-course 10 Euros meal and we had to pay a further supplement for anything better. The quality of the meat was not good & the standard of the meal not good. The hotel was not situated in a pleasant area.
Good central position in town. Should have been told that we were unable to enter hotel before 1700Hrs on a monday and telephone help lime was a recording ??
The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly
