Brekfast not served before 7AM
Fair hotel with cheap rate near the Lyon Saint-Exupery airport (10mn). Good and quite hotel for short stay. No more staff hotel after 10PM.
The location was great due to proximity to the airport. We enjoyed the kindness and service of the staff. Although all the rooms were non-smoking rooms, it was inconvenient to have people smoking at our floor.
Friendly staff, lots of small things thought about well. The room was smelly
Size of the appartments and the bed Slightly shabby decoration in the appartment. Unfriendly staff in the brasserie.
There really wasn't anything to dislike about this hotel - good location, helpful and pleasant staff, the rooms were clean, tidy and well equipped and a choice of restaurants. I'd certainly recommend the hotel.
I stayed in a studio of the hotel - and enjoyed to have my own little kitchenette - that was very handy as I stayed for more than 2 weeks - the service in the studio is the same as in the rooms - cleaning every day. The choice in the restaurant and in the brasserie was limited - it is probably ok for someone just staying 1 or 2 nights - but not for longer period. Also the quality of the cuisine was not always good - same dish on different days = different quality
Room service food (lasagne & cheese selection) was good and at the right temperature. 1. There was only 1 set of towels in the bathroom so we had to wait over half an hour after calling reception for another set to be delivered. 2. There were no cups or mugs or coffee sachets for the in-room coffee/tea making facility.
Beautiful and well appointed room. Pleasant -- convenient -- close to airport. No wireless internet access. Only available for short period in the lobby. Restaurant was a bit pricey so we chose to eat at the airport.
included mini bar, dinner at the restaurant was good, room was very nice light at desk did not work
desighn of room was very nice they took money for minibar from my account which i didn`t use(it happened when I already left a hotel)...but after my pretension money was returned back
My flight out of Lyon was cancelled by the airline and moved to leave from Paris. Despite knowing a week in advance, neither Active nor the Hotel were prepared to bend the non-refundable policy. I understand that's the policy, but there is in every opportunity the choice to adjust the policy given particular circumstances. I did not cancel the room out of my own choice, the airline made the choice for me. In my many years of travel experience most places with high standards of customer service would have refunded the money for the unused room, despite the policy.
Excellent hotel for airport transfer. Good connection to the city by tram, but very poor connection to other parts of the region. We visited an international trade fair there and public transport was poor. Taxi very expensive and no shuttle service.
Room, bed, No information about the Hotel's number phone when booking. I must call the Nh hotel in Nice to know the number phone.
Wonderful facilities and great location. I had an early morning flight, and with young kids, being near the airport was very important. It would be nice to be able to drive a private car to the hotel instead of parking at another terminal and then walking over. I was informed that only taxis could make drop offs at the hotel.
Brand new Hotel next to airport!
New Hotel with all facilities in excellent order. Restaurant was very good None
Warning - Ordered a taxi for the nearby airport at the reception. It showed out to be a no-meter taxi driven by a lady working for the hotel charging me outrageous euro 26 for a 3 minute ride from the hotel. Pushy servants in the restaurant eager to sell. Breakfast selection and quality is great but dinner is not impressive. The wine selction is terrible even if you go for the highest priced. I am disappointed when hotels like this try to use you as they know you are a first and maybe returning client. However I work in Lyon and this treat was not satisfactory. The hotel is your "local host" and their recommendation should be trust worthy inclusive the taxi. I expect to be able to trust the hotel and their recommendations.
Convenience Very poor bed quality. Visually a very uninteresting location, in fact probably the most uninteresting location imaginable. Phone difficult to program for a wake-up call in English. Resorted to asking staff for a wake-up call plus programming the TV/Radio alarm.
Handy to the airport Felt the rooms were small - basically utilitarian but no complaints for one night
Cheap and Cheerful. Good Restaurant at hotel. Hotel staff ordered morning taxi for return trip to the airport - taxi arrived exactly on time. In the middle of nowhere. Nothing around, if you arrive via taxi you are stuck at the hotel unless you order another taxi.
Nothing They close at 11:00 PM. If you have a late flight (beyongd your control) you are done. Happened to me.
Close proximity to the airport. Friendly front desk. Clean. It was very difficult to find - I was lost for an hour and the front desk did not speak English well enough to direct me.
The food in the restaurant was very good. Sterile environment. Lifeless. Expensive and without any charm whatsoever.
Acceptable quality /price ratio. Hotel is situated among big warehouses. Sad environment. Broken door lock (someone has opened it by kicking in the past).
The location in proximity to the airport was its main feature. Breakfast was excellent but not inexpensive. One of the rooms labeled "non-smoking" had a very strong and unpleasant tobacco odor.
Business trip. There as not enough explanation on how to enter and leave the security in the parking lot.
Great value with very friendly, helpful staff. Location...it is close to a one mile walk to nearest connection to public transportation.
Close to the international air port as we had a early flight We found it difficult to find given the directions we had.
the manager small rooms
Comfortable bed. Good hot shower Outside looks like an overgrown shipping container. Nautical theme (in Lyon?? - about as far from the sea as you can get in France) continued weirdly inside with heavy rope handrail in room. Corridor carpets grubby and water-stained. Breakfast coffee weak and tepid - breakfast otherwise ok but not worth an extra 6 euros.
Central Location, Pleasant staff. Phone system was broken, WiFi connection was horribly inconsistant, and the room had much to be desired.
convenient location very cramped accommodation - no elevator - tiny bathroom - not enough parking
I liked the fact that I could be there for a quick layover and there were no problems with going in late and leaving early. The shower was really strange and everything in the bathroom got wet. Also the manager said he would give me a wake up call which never happened.
34 euro/night for such hotel is pretty good price Staff in this hotel almost don't speak English.
It was close to Euroexpo and cheap. a little unclean
This hotel is near from the exebition!
Breakfast was very good It was difficult to find and apparently is not Kyriad any more so we were looking for the wrong thing. Also our Sat Nav did not recognise the address
The staff was very helpful and went out of the way to make sure that we understood answers to questions, The only play that we stayed during our trip that did not have an English speaking TV channel.
everything. extremely good value for money. They do not serve lunch after 2pm, they close the reception after 9am. however was very flexible with the breakfast timing. it is a general french thing, so I do not blame the hotel for this.
Young & nice staff, good breakfast, clean rooms and no noise!! Perfect for young people or businessmen!
Good parking and restaurant; quiet location
Quiet location, nice breakfast
Cost effective and rooms were just fine. We went there to check in at 2pm on a Sunday. The door was locked. Eventually someone came who didn't speak English and made a phone call before letting us in. It was unprofessional, but it was ok in the end.
Frendly people A bit old inside
Nice owners - served us breakfast at any time - even 11:00 am
Clean - bed comfortable food V.good No bath no bar
The owner was very friendly & helpful. We also liked this hotel as they had free parking at the rear of the hotel. The windows weren't double glazed so there was a down draft through the window, making the room chilly. When we realised we could close the shutters this did help. Also the bathroom although being very clean & modern was extremely small.
Rooms rather small and squashed, but cheap, quiet and clean Barhroom very small and cramped
Price and location. It was too cold (in August!) during the night.
quite clean and nice looking room. no answer from telephone customer care, we where obliged to sleep the first night in anotherHotel as we were travelling from outside country and we reached it late in the night.
Staff is friendly and accommodating. The bedroom and bathroom is spotless. Television and Internet access is free and flawless. No air conditioning- I would never have booked there had I known that. The hotel kindly provided a fan.The hotel is on a main street, beside a 24hr gas station. It's a noisy environment especially if you have to leave the windows open due to the heat. The hotel is listed as close to the airport ( St. Exupery) but they could not give us precise directions " just go straight" got us hopelesssly lost.
Staff is very nice. Good parking. Hotel was quite close to work. Room service was fine, always clean. Was too expensive for the service they give you. Breakfast, 7 € for a croissant, few bread an coffee!! Wifi was not available in all rooms.
service by gentle people, quiet, really near by fairgrounds of Lyon breakfast at weekend only after 8 am
Very close to the site I was visiting. Possible with check in after 22.00 if you call in advance. The room was very noisy, close to a heavily trafficed road.
friendly staff hotel needed some modernising next to a very busy petrol station
Guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Back dated interior. Pre-packed breakfast. Very poor bathroom. Shabby room. Very hot room and a lot of noise if window opened. The hotel is old and needs to be renovated urgently.
the staff were friendly and able to solve our problems. Big rooms.
The management whom I met in the morning, posts stay were very very nice. The room was not a moderne hotel....... I did not like that the accommodation internet service linked to Hotel.com was not up to date. My reservations were incorrect. The room left alot to be desired. One towel, no shower curtain, awful pillows, at least the croissants were good.
The owners are very personable and helpful! This is a small nicely remodeled hotel. Nice breakfast. Clean updated room. Perfect distance from airport.
Multilingual staff were helpful and coordinated our stay and transport to the airport well. Dinners were surprisingly good and a good value. It is a bit remote from most things unless you have a car.
Close to airport Very hot, indifferent staff, depressing decor
Place is calm and quite. None particularly.
Very close to the Lyon Airport, 10 mins on back road. Hotel under renovation, clean basic rooms - good for night stay. Owners very nice, speak english.
They were quite close to Lyon airport, and offered a restaurant for dinner with several choices. The owners Laurent and Juliette were extremely helpful and friendly.Fast free WiFi in the rooms Very small old TV--not really a major issue.
Welcoming friendly staff. Room facilities OK.
The hotel seems under renovation.
Clean room, fairly comfortable (reflected the price per room), reasonably close to the airport/motorways, morning receptionist very cordial, breakfast available if required (at extra cost). Despite the confirmation stating that we could check in up to 23h00 the hotel was closed when we arrived at 22h20 and we could not get past the security gate into the car park. I walked around to the hotel entrance and found a telephone number to ring and was told by the woman that answered that check in was until 22h00. That said she gave me the codes to get in to both the car park and the hotel and advised that the keycard for the room had been left in the lock so we did gain access to the hotel & room. However, it was extremely dark round the hotel and very cold, -5c, plus I speak fluent french so conversing was not a problem - I think that a non-french speaker would probably have had a great deal more problems in even getting into the hotel let alone understanding where the key had been left. Other points - no lift so had to drag cases up the stairs to the first floor - not easy to find despite being right on the main road as no signs (lit or otherwise) that are easily spotted from the road in the dark. - we requested a twin room (which was stated on the confirmation)and got a double and, since there was no hotelier/night staff on site, there was little we could do to change that.
A very basic room and Hotel.Staff friendliness and the cleanliness of the room were the good points, particularly the receptionists who spoke excellent English.
sound insolation quite good despite it's close to a highway a bit expensive for what it is
Good rooms Price / quality is poor. Breakfast far too expensive. It's just a simple hotel alongside a motorway and not in the city centre.
Hotel was easy to locate and convenient for our journey. Rooms a good size and clean and comfortable. For a family, the breakfast was far too expensive and we were unable to eat there!
Everything about our stay was great - no complaints on any front at all No - thought it was a really great experience
Convenient to St. Exupery Airport (15 minutes by car). Free computer and printer in lobby (20 minute limit) Hard to find from the autoroute exit -- signage could be better! Wifi is costly
no tea and coffee making facilities
The staff were very helpful. The hotel provided what we needed for an overnight stay on our journey back to the UK. The only issue we had which made us initially uncomfortable was with mosquitos in the room but we had some fly killer spray with us that overcame this problem.
Perfectly and imaginatively equipped room. Superbly clean and new bathroom.
Excellent value evening meal, friendly staff, an allround excellent hotel Cant fault accommodation
warm, clean and tidy We booked because it had a restaurant, this was closed.
The hotel was reasonable, fairly comfortable and had easy access to the Lyon airport. The room for three was a bit tight.
A very good hotel, clean and quiet, good price. Rooms is big enough for couples, the equipments are new and well functional
Clean tidy room's. Ideal for a night stop. We were put in a smoking room, Could do with a couple more T bags and Milk.
Great location and easy to find, free parking and nice staff. 10 minutes by car to Lyon centre and not far from the motor-way. Room has everything necessary, loved free Wi-Fi. Good as B&B for one night. 8.5 Euros per person for breakfast is way too much. There are some boulangeries, brasseries and McDonalds around the corner or in Bron (5 mins).
Quiet environment. Clean room. Reasonable restaurant. Good breakfast. Typical hotel for people on the move to their holiday address. Rather small room in the middle of nowhere. No good public transport to go to Lyon center. Very hard for the hotel staff to get a taxi. No bar.
Very competent and polite staff. Free wireless adsl. Quiet environment.
Good value for money - clean room, nice breakfast. A/C did not work in one of the rooms, but we were given new room after we complained.
Good value accommodation and excellent park a few minutes walk up the road. Nice breakfast too. Reception could do with freshening up. There was a very stale smell which I suspect is due to air conditioning units needing cleaning.
good food in the hotel restaurant
Quiet Suburb ,friendly, relaxed and efficient english speaking staff, tres bon.
The booked rate was significantly under the published price per room. A bonus for us The hotel was "tired" and my first impressions were not good. The refurbish works in the dining room was a once off and unfortunate. Whilst it was a Holiday Inn, I had a higher expectation from that presented and delivered
good beds, clean, not noisy, friendly staff na
Everything was perfect. Bathroom, even though it was large, not really enough sophisticated. But largely acceptable anyway. Nothing.
nothing in particular rooms are small, not really comfortable
Good value for money and lots of variety for breakfast
easy check in and out of reception rooms a bit small and doors did not properly open as they hit the beds. The restaurant was closed and we were not informed of this until we arrived.
The owner and his wife were absolutely lovely and I wish them very well. Their chateau is lovely and the swimming pool beautiful. The rooms are far too tiny, there is no ventilation and no air conditioning. I was bitten by mosquitoes because I was forcred to leave the door open to get ventelation.
The hotel offers free wifi but there is no table in the room. The room was full of ants, ok this can happen, the hotell is in an immense park but i have said it to the receptionist but nobody took action to clean the room.
The food was excellent and the staff were charming. The modern design of the bedroom was also attractive. It was not possible to get fresh air in the bedroom except by opening a french door. Perhaps because there was a reunion taking place at the hotel at the time, there was also nowhere to relax except in the room, as the weather was too cool to use the swimming pool area...
Its convenience next to shops, bars and restaurants. No.
Very friendly helpfull and obliging staff. A comfortable and good value hotel, ideally situated within the town.
location and price; basic but value for money no bar or cafe
The leisurely breakfast No hairdryer in bathroom
Cheap and good location
Good position for what I wanted, and for bars ect No bad points
The sheets were not changed on a daily basis - but when I asked on day 2 they were changed but only on this occassion. Also the floor was very obviously dirty and it wasn;t until I requested it to be rectified that it was done. Parts of the breakfast was not fresh on both occassions. About 35 minutes by train to Lyon - nothing really to do in this location.
no room for 4 persons : 2 adults + 2 children
