Lovely room and view Very expensive, €16 for a poor continental breakfast.
The fantastic view, both from our room and from the restaurant. The spacious room accomodations and excellent quality of both the Dinner and the Service. The only slight criticism would be the floor tiling in the bath room could stand to be updated/renewed.
I spent one night at the hotel before going in the morning to airport. I had dinner at the hotel Hotel need some renovation
surroundings, view, spacious rooms, parking limited service (lobby, terrace)
Calm. Decoration. History (birthplace of Louis XIV). Restaurant closed in August
the view to Paris and the town of St Germain a little outworn
The location is superb with open views over Paris, the Seine and a short journey to town, especially La Defense business district. Needs an upgrade of facilities. Problems with the door, internet access and plastic sheeting which had to be taken off the bed.
St. Germain en Laye is a stunning town on the outskirts of Paris. Pavillion Henri IV is a stunning historic palais, with marbled entry way, a five star restaurant, and an outside deck overlooking paris. The sense of elegance steeped in history is worth the visit. When you order a cab for the airport, specify a taxi, not a limo. I ended up with a 90 euro drive to the airport!
the lovely views, the helpful and courteous staff, and great food and stylish comfortable rooms.
Wireless broadband internet. Spacious rooms. Ambiance and fabulous view over the city. Too few free power outlets in the room. The quality of the restaurant is good but prices are relatively high.
Very nice coutry side and former royal residence. Well kept. If you like a military life, this a hotel for you. Nice rooms with nests of insects, no reception with hall, no lobby bar, restaurant open ONLY for reservation 10 hours before (!!!), the gate closes at 9 PM, you can get in with a code but the car remains outside in the woods. Have nice stay there....
Rooms very clean, personnell very friendly, restaurant very good Very difficult to find, GPS coordinates on booking.com incorrect. IN fact the castel has been split up in 3 parts: 1 part is a home for the elderly, 1 part is for personal use and the third part is the hotel!! The neighborhood is a bit scary.
the only thing was fresh air and sorrounding nature (forest etc...) lack of electric cordless kettle in the room, shared showers, lack of pub/bar to get a drink in the evening or to eat some dinner, non-european type of breakfest, only jam, coffee, tea typical French way, no meat, nothing warm like sausages/hot dogs/mashed eggs ...., no wi-fi coverage in my room (3rd floor)
cleanliness, calm, environment not an hotel actually: it's a senior residency for elderly people which proposes a few rooms for visitors from the outside
Excellent location with stunning views and good location for Paris and of course St Germain en laye. Good forest walks too Lack of service, run more on military lines, possibly just teething problems having been a retirement home. At breakfast we were left on our own with no-one in sight unless they were clearing tables at 9.30am sharpe. Would not recommend dinner at the hotel.
This was great value for money don't worry about the shared shower it is facing the rooms very spacious and claen and saves you a bit of cash would highly recommmend. hotel is in a fantastic setting.
The place is really beautiful, the flowers, the restaurant, the toilet products. The hotel could be renewed. Sunday morning there was a tennis tournment next to the hotel and we were woken up by the noise.
Quite environment, reminds us of our mountains in Lebanon Passages to the room
Good location, well appointed rooms, very quiet
The restaurant was very good It was expensive for the amenities. trying to be more upmarket than it warranted
We had a beautiful meal in amazing garden with fantastic wines. The wine list had great range of half bottles at great prices. The price of breakfast
We arrived quite late to the hotel for a night en route to Normandy from Alsace. The atmosphere of this small countryside maison with a luxury gourmet restaurant is very good, and its staff was friendly especially at dinner where despite being after formal closure hours, still offered us simpler dishes. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, and also of good size. The hotel's location is good to explore nearby small villages just outside Paris, including lovely St-Germain-en-Laye. It really lived up to its reputation as a member of the Relais&Chateaux Hotel. Would not mention negatives as we did not come across any. However, coming through the Paris road network, this was the hotel most difficult and lengthy to find (but only until you do not reach St.-Germain) even late night. Use of GPS or very good map is recommended unless you are an insider to Paris traffic. We did not have breakfast here so cannot comment on that.
I liked everything...
the location and its grounds are the only good things i can say about this hotel the restaurant was bad the food over priced and the staff not pleasant
Nice hotel but restaurant closed on mondays. and no tea or coffee making facilities available in the rooms
Excellent ambience - good location - friendly, attentive, helpful staff Bed a bit hard
Excellent value for money. Good location for Versailles.Very clean.
Good comfortable room. No restuarant for evening meals.
It was close to where I had to visit Very Basic. The Bar consisted of cans to drink in your room and only english language channel on TV was news.
Staff were extremely helpful. Arrived early, allocated room not ready, so alternative room, which was ready, was provided instead. Receptionists spoke good English. Ample parking available.
It is noisy, you can hear neighbors shutting their bedroom doors
The room and breakfast The atmosphere in the restaurant in night time.
Recently refurbished so bright and modern. Lots of free parking. Convenient for driving into Paris via the new motor access road nearby. Main menu meals were goog but.... buffet was not as good as most other Campaniles we've stayed in.
The hotel was very comfortable and provided my elderly mother and I with all that we needed. Breakfast was very nice, beds comfortable, parking convenient and staff very friendly and helpful. I had asked in advance if our rooms could be next door (to reassure my mother) and this was done, which was much appreciated. No, it was great
Good location, excellent value for money, clean rooms , freindly staff
It was clean and adequate in beautiful surroundings. It was to far away from the rer station and the centre of town. The pillows were to soft. The
food good value no
It's very convenient for Versailles Too far out of St Germaine en Laye - nearer to Chambourcy really.
Friendly staff, clean well equipped rooms. Restaurant was being refurbished so no breakfast available - the bagged alternative of long life cakes was very poor. Would have been very easy to provide at least a decent cup of coffee and a pastry in the lobby.
Good food, relaxed atmosphere, quiet area, close to golf Rooms small
location to our customer comfort so so
Bad hotel. old and unpleasent. It is not a genuine Novotol.
Very nice for children with outdoor pool and play area in hotel lobby, both for small children but also for older children with play station. Nice with large sitting area, newspappers and TV in hotel lobby. Very close to large shopping centre and just 50 meters from McDonalds. Train station not so near and you need to drive car there.
Comfortable Not enough choice of evening meal
everyone from the staff was friendly, courteous, efficient and caring; you could feel very comfortable; location allows for trips to city and countryside as well.
Ths staff were freindly and helpful. I booked this hotel because there was a pool - the pool was not open during our stay. I also note on the bookings.com website that it says that payment is not taken before check in, but it was. It was also undergoing a major redecoration and nothing was mentioned about that at the time of booking.
Nothing Poor beds and hardly nothing for breakfast
very good prportion of price / value, size of rooms, new building, cleanliness
- There is no 24h reception and the phone support is not working properly. Every time you call the phone support, you need to wait at least 2h for them to call you back. There are no weekly room cleaning. The bed in fact is a sofa, which is not so confortable. The hotel is overpriced!
It's a new Apartment. Rooms are large and nice. The kitchen is very small. Parking is large and accessible by lift. We arrived on Saturday at 17h. The front door and the reception were closed. At the door was a telephone number (hotline). Only an answering machine - no one called back! After calling mare than 10 times and waiting in the queue, somebody replay. Very difficult communication! We received two codes: one for the entrance door and an other for the safe with the room key. No staff ! ! !
Everything was corect, nothing special, good for passing thru. Garage available, and safe. Also, the hotel feels safe. At 8 o'clock in the morning the alarm went on for 15 min. and nobody explained why?! STrange chemical smell is present.
Very cosy out of the way hotel. Convenient for Versailles and the Chateau as I had a car.
Breakfast was adequate. Towels changed every day and toiletries available. Room was clean and comfortable and free wifi in the room. Free parking. No english tv available without paying and no restaurants close by, nearest bars were about 20mins walk. Staff not too helpful and garden was very tiny, advert for hotel a bit misleading regarding the garden. No teamaking facilities in room. Late trains from Paris do not go directly to St. Cyr L'ecole so had to get a taxi back late at night from Versailles and no-one explained this to us.
Overall it was a very pleasant stay There were no bad points to speak of
the location, near to Versailles, but everything else is a big cheating... The pictures what we saw on the internet in the reality was completelly different. In the garden of the hotel there is two little house, where originally they kept the garden tools ...and after they transfered as a hotel room...no isolation, all walls were humid and mouldy , was a strong mildew smell, since i have an asthma, i could not really sleep well all night long. The wall's painting was coming down, the blanket was dirty We asked to change the room, so we got the next door "garden tools room " since it had a common wall with the previous one it was the same condition. and all this things for 78 euro, i would never recommend to sleep there. Internet which was published also on the website of course in a garden tool suite,,,didn't work
Staff very friendly. Rooms had nice space. Difficult to find. Few amenities within walking distance.
Well located to visit Versailles if you have a car. Free parking.
The room was neat and tidy enough for the price. Beware, The hotel door closes at 11:00pm
Connected rooms beside the main building are good choice for family with more than four member.
Nice quiet hotel and location. Close proximity to Versailles and train station. The shower hose holder was broken and we had to improvise by attaching the shower hose to the holder with a sock.
I liked the friendly staff and not having to fill in a form the moment you arrive, or even later. Proper toilet rolls needed please!!! The tiny little pink tissues were totally inadaquate.
Very nice hotel The room was extremely hot and it was not possible to turn off the heating, I slep with the window wide open
The Hotel was conveniently located with easy access to the RER for Paris, car parking was good - room was spacious and the receptionist was very helpful when we checked in. Mosquitos were a bit of a problem at night, hotel was comfortable breakfast I thought was a bit pricy
excellent hotel, good food, Forest location, great staff, not the cheapest but have stayed here before and would stay there again
A quiet location, near some nice wooded walks.
The loctation of the hotel was convenient for the meeting I had the following day and the breakfast was good. I was very disappointed at the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room - I feel that a hotel of this standard appealing to the business market should provide this. We arrived very late and had no way of getting any refreshment - nor was any offered - as the restaurant and bar were closed.
Very nice location, a little out of town (15 minutes by car to Metro station La Defense), so already quite rural surrounding (bike rental is quite near by). Very big-sized appartments, kitchenette with huge fridge and even a small dishwasher. Very convenient for many different intentions (stopover, citytour, fair/business, up-country relax holiday).
It was very nice to be able to park nearby The rooms were big and with a lot og light Very nice with a bathtub
quite friendly staff at reception let us check in earlier N/A
apartment is self contains double bed is very small it was rather a big single bed
I would say nothing. There is no staff, for catering an needful help. There was no Iron in the room, shower curtain was missing, no knife, no internet connection was provided and when asked for above mentioned item, I was told that this will be available only on Monday, the day I was leaving. And during reservation, I was told that checkout time is 10-12 but at the time of check-in they told that I must checkout before 10.
The rooms were very spacious, they also included many applicances and dishes for cooking. We arrived during the check in time listed on the confirmation page, but no one was in the office. We had to make calls on our cell phone (expensive) and try to discuss the issue with a mostly French speaking individual. We finally received security codes to let ourselves into the office and a box containing keys the rooms. We never saw a person. The rooms were dirty and moldy.
Booking of last resort as all Paris hotels booked out - rate expensive for inconvenient location and tired facilities; not really geared for overnight stays. Old facilities - easy to confuse with new development just up the road!
size of the appartment, low cost of internet (€ 2,-/day), parking just in front, fairly cean windows were full of greace child fingers of th eprevious party, staff didn't inform us about the breakfast "tradition" - reserving before 18:00 day before
We really enjoyed our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was hard to locate.
We had the misfortune of arriving in France with a nearly empty tankof gs, during a fuel-strike, so gas stations were running out of fuel. Our hotel staff went so above & beyond to help us find fuel, that they were literally the solution to our problems. We can't thank them enough for their generous and caring assistance. The 4-person room in which we stayed had an unpleasant odor (we thought perhaps coming from the heat radiators?). Also we felt that although the breakfast was simple-yet-good, it was over-priced at 9-euro for adults, 6.50 for children.
Cleanliness of rooms. Breakfast. Cooked food is very poor. Bedroom air conditioning was very ineffective.
The staff were very friendly and the evening meal we had was excellent. The room we were in was used by smokers and the smell of stale tobacco was not pleasant. We asked for a non-smoking room. I would suggest that all rooms become non-smoking to avoid this.
Very clean room, excellent value, good location, nice open space around hotel Bathroom shower, designed for handicapped guests, somewhat messy (showers all over the floor)
The updated rooms and restaurant were a nice change, clean and modern and very comfortable. It would be nice if all of the Campanile Hotels were newly updated.
silent, quite, confortable, good cousine and friendly staff, realy close to main road for Paris and industrial suburbia, so at least really ideal for business trip with a free time on disposal!!
Staff were exceptionally friendly. Rooms spotlessly clean - it's a relativly new hotel. Motel style, with outside corridors. Quiet. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal. Good value, good choice breakfast buffet. No hairdryer in room. Location is a bit isolated, but it suited us as a stop en route to Versailles. I would have absolutely no hesitation staying there again.
Very good quality, modern and clean, very quiet just next to the Golf Courts. The staff is very friendly and proffessional. Ideal Hotel to stay and go to visit Paris (La Défense is only 15 min by car, good parking there and continue by RER/Metro ) and 35 minutes from the famous monet museum in Vernon.
Free and good internet, free parking, renewed rooms. The breakfast is a quite expensive for me.
Great place :)
A little more expensive than others, but well worth it. Excellent restaurant and certainly the best Campanile I have ever stayed at.
Small room and affordable. Good location in the city. Quiet. We went with a bunk bed setup, and one of the days they did not make the bed for the bunk bed (top bed). The front desk did not speak a lot of English, but we managed to get the information we needed.
