the lovely views, the helpful and courteous staff, and great food and stylish comfortable rooms.
Calm. Decoration. History (birthplace of Louis XIV). Restaurant closed in August
the view to Paris and the town of St Germain a little outworn
I spent one night at the hotel before going in the morning to airport. I had dinner at the hotel Hotel need some renovation
The fantastic view, both from our room and from the restaurant. The spacious room accomodations and excellent quality of both the Dinner and the Service. The only slight criticism would be the floor tiling in the bath room could stand to be updated/renewed.
Lovely room and view Very expensive, €16 for a poor continental breakfast.
surroundings, view, spacious rooms, parking limited service (lobby, terrace)
The location is superb with open views over Paris, the Seine and a short journey to town, especially La Defense business district. Needs an upgrade of facilities. Problems with the door, internet access and plastic sheeting which had to be taken off the bed.
St. Germain en Laye is a stunning town on the outskirts of Paris. Pavillion Henri IV is a stunning historic palais, with marbled entry way, a five star restaurant, and an outside deck overlooking paris. The sense of elegance steeped in history is worth the visit. When you order a cab for the airport, specify a taxi, not a limo. I ended up with a 90 euro drive to the airport!
Wireless broadband internet. Spacious rooms. Ambiance and fabulous view over the city. Too few free power outlets in the room. The quality of the restaurant is good but prices are relatively high.
Very nice coutry side and former royal residence. Well kept. If you like a military life, this a hotel for you. Nice rooms with nests of insects, no reception with hall, no lobby bar, restaurant open ONLY for reservation 10 hours before (!!!), the gate closes at 9 PM, you can get in with a code but the car remains outside in the woods. Have nice stay there....
cleanliness, calm, environment not an hotel actually: it's a senior residency for elderly people which proposes a few rooms for visitors from the outside
the only thing was fresh air and sorrounding nature (forest etc...) lack of electric cordless kettle in the room, shared showers, lack of pub/bar to get a drink in the evening or to eat some dinner, non-european type of breakfest, only jam, coffee, tea typical French way, no meat, nothing warm like sausages/hot dogs/mashed eggs ...., no wi-fi coverage in my room (3rd floor)
Rooms very clean, personnell very friendly, restaurant very good Very difficult to find, GPS coordinates on booking.com incorrect. IN fact the castel has been split up in 3 parts: 1 part is a home for the elderly, 1 part is for personal use and the third part is the hotel!! The neighborhood is a bit scary.
This was great value for money don't worry about the shared shower it is facing the rooms very spacious and claen and saves you a bit of cash would highly recommmend. hotel is in a fantastic setting.
Excellent location with stunning views and good location for Paris and of course St Germain en laye. Good forest walks too Lack of service, run more on military lines, possibly just teething problems having been a retirement home. At breakfast we were left on our own with no-one in sight unless they were clearing tables at 9.30am sharpe. Would not recommend dinner at the hotel.
Good location, excellent value for money, clean rooms , freindly staff
location to our customer comfort so so
The hotel was very comfortable and provided my elderly mother and I with all that we needed. Breakfast was very nice, beds comfortable, parking convenient and staff very friendly and helpful. I had asked in advance if our rooms could be next door (to reassure my mother) and this was done, which was much appreciated. No, it was great
Friendly staff, clean well equipped rooms. Restaurant was being refurbished so no breakfast available - the bagged alternative of long life cakes was very poor. Would have been very easy to provide at least a decent cup of coffee and a pastry in the lobby.
Good food, relaxed atmosphere, quiet area, close to golf Rooms small
The room and breakfast The atmosphere in the restaurant in night time.
It's very convenient for Versailles Too far out of St Germaine en Laye - nearer to Chambourcy really.
It was clean and adequate in beautiful surroundings. It was to far away from the rer station and the centre of town. The pillows were to soft. The
food good value no
Recently refurbished so bright and modern. Lots of free parking. Convenient for driving into Paris via the new motor access road nearby. Main menu meals were goog but.... buffet was not as good as most other Campaniles we've stayed in.
Excellent value for money. Good location for Versailles.Very clean.
It is noisy, you can hear neighbors shutting their bedroom doors
Good comfortable room. No restuarant for evening meals.
Staff were extremely helpful. Arrived early, allocated room not ready, so alternative room, which was ready, was provided instead. Receptionists spoke good English. Ample parking available.
It was close to where I had to visit Very Basic. The Bar consisted of cans to drink in your room and only english language channel on TV was news.
The loctation of the hotel was convenient for the meeting I had the following day and the breakfast was good. I was very disappointed at the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room - I feel that a hotel of this standard appealing to the business market should provide this. We arrived very late and had no way of getting any refreshment - nor was any offered - as the restaurant and bar were closed.
A quiet location, near some nice wooded walks.
excellent hotel, good food, Forest location, great staff, not the cheapest but have stayed here before and would stay there again
The Hotel was conveniently located with easy access to the RER for Paris, car parking was good - room was spacious and the receptionist was very helpful when we checked in. Mosquitos were a bit of a problem at night, hotel was comfortable breakfast I thought was a bit pricy
Very nice hotel The room was extremely hot and it was not possible to turn off the heating, I slep with the window wide open
Bad hotel. old and unpleasent. It is not a genuine Novotol.
everyone from the staff was friendly, courteous, efficient and caring; you could feel very comfortable; location allows for trips to city and countryside as well.
Comfortable Not enough choice of evening meal
Ths staff were freindly and helpful. I booked this hotel because there was a pool - the pool was not open during our stay. I also note on the bookings.com website that it says that payment is not taken before check in, but it was. It was also undergoing a major redecoration and nothing was mentioned about that at the time of booking.
Very nice for children with outdoor pool and play area in hotel lobby, both for small children but also for older children with play station. Nice with large sitting area, newspappers and TV in hotel lobby. Very close to large shopping centre and just 50 meters from McDonalds. Train station not so near and you need to drive car there.
Small room and affordable. Good location in the city. Quiet. We went with a bunk bed setup, and one of the days they did not make the bed for the bunk bed (top bed). The front desk did not speak a lot of English, but we managed to get the information we needed.
A little more expensive than others, but well worth it. Excellent restaurant and certainly the best Campanile I have ever stayed at.
Free and good internet, free parking, renewed rooms. The breakfast is a quite expensive for me.
silent, quite, confortable, good cousine and friendly staff, realy close to main road for Paris and industrial suburbia, so at least really ideal for business trip with a free time on disposal!!
Great place :)
Very clean room, excellent value, good location, nice open space around hotel Bathroom shower, designed for handicapped guests, somewhat messy (showers all over the floor)
Very good quality, modern and clean, very quiet just next to the Golf Courts. The staff is very friendly and proffessional. Ideal Hotel to stay and go to visit Paris (La Défense is only 15 min by car, good parking there and continue by RER/Metro ) and 35 minutes from the famous monet museum in Vernon.
Staff were exceptionally friendly. Rooms spotlessly clean - it's a relativly new hotel. Motel style, with outside corridors. Quiet. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal. Good value, good choice breakfast buffet. No hairdryer in room. Location is a bit isolated, but it suited us as a stop en route to Versailles. I would have absolutely no hesitation staying there again.
The updated rooms and restaurant were a nice change, clean and modern and very comfortable. It would be nice if all of the Campanile Hotels were newly updated.
The staff were very friendly and the evening meal we had was excellent. The room we were in was used by smokers and the smell of stale tobacco was not pleasant. We asked for a non-smoking room. I would suggest that all rooms become non-smoking to avoid this.
Cleanliness of rooms. Breakfast. Cooked food is very poor. Bedroom air conditioning was very ineffective.
Friendliness of staff, especially young woman on the desk in the evening. She was particularly understanding, helpful and friendly
Close to EADS Elancourt - 25 minute walk -Quality of the diner in the Campanile hotel Hotel to close to the highway and noisy
wi-fi, cleaning, comfortable. sheets smelt smoke. noisy. Better go to Kyriad
we chose this hotel because of it's relative proximity to the start for pbp (others were booked solid way in advance) the room was a bit small, which was made worse by having two bike cases
The hotel was good to get us access to the south west of Paris. It was also close to Varsaille where we planned to visit the next day. If you are expecting a picturesque location this is not it as it is in an industrial estate. This did not worry us as we wanted access to Boulogne Billincourt and to Varsaille.
friendliness of staff location not particularly attractive generally
The staff were super. Not really clean and in the corners you could see old dirt.
The hotel is OK for the price. I was there one night and I had no problem with nothing. The personal was realy frindly. If you come later than 23 o clock you have to phone and you receive a code for the keys. In the price the brakfest is not incluided.
Restaurant was good. No hairdryer, nor refrigerator. Too far from shops and transport. Not soundproof. Taxis unreliable.
Convenience and very quiet . Poorly indicate on the road . on your website it says open 24 hours it closes at 2300 hrs !!!!!!!!!
Quite environment, reminds us of our mountains in Lebanon Passages to the room
I liked everything...
The restaurant was very good It was expensive for the amenities. trying to be more upmarket than it warranted
We arrived quite late to the hotel for a night en route to Normandy from Alsace. The atmosphere of this small countryside maison with a luxury gourmet restaurant is very good, and its staff was friendly especially at dinner where despite being after formal closure hours, still offered us simpler dishes. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, and also of good size. The hotel's location is good to explore nearby small villages just outside Paris, including lovely St-Germain-en-Laye. It really lived up to its reputation as a member of the Relais&Chateaux Hotel. Would not mention negatives as we did not come across any. However, coming through the Paris road network, this was the hotel most difficult and lengthy to find (but only until you do not reach St.-Germain) even late night. Use of GPS or very good map is recommended unless you are an insider to Paris traffic. We did not have breakfast here so cannot comment on that.
the location and its grounds are the only good things i can say about this hotel the restaurant was bad the food over priced and the staff not pleasant
The place is really beautiful, the flowers, the restaurant, the toilet products. The hotel could be renewed. Sunday morning there was a tennis tournment next to the hotel and we were woken up by the noise.
Good location, well appointed rooms, very quiet
Excellent ambience - good location - friendly, attentive, helpful staff Bed a bit hard
Nice hotel but restaurant closed on mondays. and no tea or coffee making facilities available in the rooms
We had a beautiful meal in amazing garden with fantastic wines. The wine list had great range of half bottles at great prices. The price of breakfast
We had just stayed at another Ibis Budget that we liked very well. This had almost identical décor (though no seats on the toilets - seems to be common in France). The rooms are snug but reasonably attractive. The toilet did not function properly. I used it when we arrived and although it dumped a lot of water in the bowl, the contents went no where. I explained this to the manager. He told me a refund was impossible and no other rooms available.
The hotel manager was a nice person but he seemed to be alone working at the hotel (besides a waitress) I booked the hotel because it was close to the business area however no taxi wanted to give me a lift because the run was too short. The room smelt quite bad (like bathroom sink). The hotel didn't have wireless available although it was advertised in the booking website. The hotel sign was actually not Balladins hotel but something else I don't remember so it took a long time to get there because the taxi driver from the airport dind't know where it was.
Friendly personel; Hotel difficult to find (behind Hertz sign); very sober entree; paint falling of the outside; room smelling like smoke; hairs in my bed (not mine); spots in the blanket (not mine); ripped sheets; used ear pin in bath room; sober braekfast, ...
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good dinner. Hard to find the hotel, quite hidden.
