Pros: The car was a Mazda 3 which is an excellent auto. It only had a couple thousand miles on it, comfy, great handling, great fuel mileage. The pickup and drop-off were both easy.

Pros: The location of the place where i picked up.
Cons: That I was told by a third party where I reservation the car said even though the credit card was in my husband name and he did not have a driver license I could still be the driver,and two did not tell me there was a $200.00 fee to add on the bill.was not happy the guys name I checked in on Thursday was Rocky.

Car was Ok service not.
Pros: Rental was good. However returning not so much. As the only customer in the store I waited for almost an hour as the associates answered phones and chatted amongst themselves completely ignoring my presence. It was like I was invisible. I got to hear about how much the associate disliked her boyfriend and how the general manager was useless. Next time I'll pay more and go to enterprise. Just an FYI I don't want to know who is dating who in your organization. Last time will ever rent from Hertz.

Good Local Service
Pros: The local staff were very helpful, they provided genuine friendly and efficient service.
Cons: Additional cost of adding my wife as a driver.

Cons: I planned to fill the tank myself but didn't know that there was no gas station at the airport exit. thus I was charged $46 for less than 1/2 tank of gas on a small car. This felt like a 'gotcha' by Hertz. It would be a better practice to tell people that if they're going to fill the tank themselves that they need to do it before the airport exit.

Pros: Customer service a plus!
Cons: When I picked up the vehicle I had to wait a extra 20 minutes for a break light to be replaced and also there were red stuff spilled in the back seats on the floor rug what seems to be red fingernail polish.

Cons: My prepaid car wasn't an airport pick up. I wanted to change to an airport pick up and they could not change the reservation because they had computer problems. It took 30 minutes to tell me that! I left to get a taxi at SYR, no taxis. So I tried to rebook a new reservation and they said I'd have to wait back in a long line again. I booked at National and was out in 5 minutes. I've been a Hertz gold member for year. I'm done with them.

Nice vehicle, great price
Pros: I got a great price on a weekly rental, $199 and some change. When I went to pick it up they offered me a free upgrade to a SUV which I accepted. It was a brand new Jeep Compass which I enjoyed driving very much. I couldn't be happier with the customer service or the vehicle. I would definitely go to Hertz again and would recommend them to family and friends.

Pros: Liked the service and the quick in and out. We also appreciated the unlimited miles. The car was better than we expected for an economy rental and it got 35-40mpg.
Cons: Definitely did not like the radar associated with the cruise control on the Toyota Corolla. We weren't able to use cruise much at all for a 15 hour drive. The cruise also allows you to gain 15mph going down hills which seemed to make a speeding ticket inevitable. If we need a rental for a long trip I will definitely not accept a vehicle with radar on the cruise. Even the Hertz associate said it was terrible.

Pros: when I booked I thought the pickup point was at the Syracuse Airport, but was informed actually it was downtown Syracuse. But they took the timevto find a good value that theyhad there. So I was on the road quite quickly.

Easy and affordable
Pros: Decided to not pick up the car from the airport and instead from a dealer outside of town. Was much easier and a better price.
Cons: The chair in the back did not go down and the girl though she tried could not get it to go down and we needed it as we were transporting a dresser. They had no other van for us to take and no other person that could fix it, so my husband had to take it anyway because we had no choice. So my husband ended up fixing it when he got home.
