Pros: we got an upgrade at no cost
The price was reasonable
Cons: Hertz desk was extermely slow with 4 people waiting in line .It took us 45 minutes to get out of the airport.
The car knocked and I felt like something was going to fall out of it

Given car with tire problem and forced to pay for
Pros: The employees were really nice at the Hilton Head desk.
Cons: However, I was given a car with "branches that needed to be removed from the undercarriage." Yet the staff said it was the only car they had available for me. It had only 3/4 a tank of gas even though the paperwork said it was full. It still had trash in it from the last people. It was clear that it hadn't been properly inspected. About an hour later, the car gets a flat tire. I'm forced to pay for a new tire because as they put it "I couldn't prove there was a pre-existing issue." Maybe not, but if the car had been properly inspected, this might have been prevented. Overall, disappointed with the poor customer service from the call center and the drop-off location in Miami, the lack of thoroughness in Hilton Head, and the attitude of "its not our problem unless you can prove it."

Cons: Car was VERY low on fuel- when I started the trip I began to notice 20+small sugar ants all over the dash. Still have not received a receipt for the car.

Nice ride, priced right
Pros: Clean, comfortable Nissan Sentra that was brand new
Cons: Huge line. Booked few hours earlier but they had no record of my booking. Had to wait for clerk to call her manager, leave a voice mail, then wait for him to call back in order to get a car. Didn't get the car I wanted. Didn't get a receipt, temporary registration, or any documentation from Alamo or Kayak. Initially told car had a full tank but was only half full. The clerk also told me the insurance I bought through Allianz didn't cover damage to the car despite that being incorrect, then she charged be for Alamo insurance without my consent which I had to call to get a charge back a few days later to correct. Terrible experience.

Young Driver Fee
Cons: I am 24 so I accept that I needed to pay an extra fee. However, when I booked, I correctly input my age. I was not charged the fee until I actually picked up the car which I found frustrating.
Also, there was no cruise control.

Cons: I made a reservation and specifically asked there was a car available on the phone while speaking to a person, not the computer, but when I arrived to pick my car up there was not a car there!!! When I questioned the attendant, he said there was nothing he could do for me. Consequently, I ended up spending over $100.00 more than I should have because another rental (Hertz) said they only had a van. I believe this should be Alamo'so responsibility. I also believe the attendant could have been much more helpful! He at least could have checked with all the other rental companies to see if there was a cheaper option. I would really like a response!!!

Not happy with car
Pros: Car ready when I arrive. Quick return.
Cons: There was no cruise control. This was not stated to me at check-in. Yet the agent asked where I am going. I was traveling over 800 miles in 2 days. The agent asked me about other things. The brakes pulled a little. Gas mileage on an small car was not great. There was a refundable $200 deposit that was never told to me before I booked the car. They had my credit card. Why do they hold $200. I am not a new driver. Had better experience with other car rental companies in the past.

Cons: The Thrifty agent was not there, so I was stuck without a car and I was trying to make a flight at a different airport. I had to rent a more expensive car at Hertz in order to make the flight. This was awful, and I am going to contact Thrifty reimburse me.
Pros: I liked the overall service. The two reps I had contact with was very polite and helpful.
Cons: When I got there I didn't know I had to bring 2 utility bills and pay a 150 refundable deposit for the rental. I asked the rep why I didn't know.. She said that most third-party sites don't have regulations. I had to go back home and retrieve all these items.. Which was a hassel to do being that I have only one bill in my name at my residence. This needs to change because you guys will miss out on money.. As long as the person has the money.. Let them rent the car. I later found out this rule is for debit card users only.
