Pros: Employees were friendly enough and the car was in good condition. Return was smooth.
The rental was serviced by Thrifty in a shared facility with Hertz a short bus ride from the terminals. (Although hertz had separate employees, they had the same problems with pickup as far as I could tell)
Cons: It took well over an hour to pickup the car, really ridiculous, and we were the second in line when we arrived. It was much worse for others.
Also I got a nail in the tire and they were no help at all, I had to pay for the repair myself because I didn't have the extra "tire cover." (Luckily tire repairs are cheap in Ireland).
The insurance is also a scam in Ireland (this is common to all agencies I could tell), as most credit cards don't cover Ireland, but Chase cards seem to (call to ask). Thrifty accepted this for a 30 euro administrative fee (which is disclosed in the terms).
They were also remarkably nitpicky about the condition of the car, taking photos at checkout and documenting even the slightest scratches or dents.

Cons: The people who work in Dublin are a bunch off crooks all the want is the people who rent buy extra insurance which I believe I did not need plus there were all types of extra fees

Pros: Good mileage with diesel. Drop off was more efficient
Cons: We had to wait an hour for the car. Very slow. Also didn't like the the insurance deductible fee added to the credit card fo 1600.00 euros. Never had that occur in any country that we rented a car. Rented in Scotlad the week prior and the process was straight forward.

Car was good
Pros: They brought the car to the airport for us so we didn't have to go to the yard.
Cons: We paid for a small baby car seat and they had a enfant car seat. We asked for help putting it in and they would not help. One guy said they didn't have insurance to help. The seat was too big and another guy who tried to help suggested we go across to another terminal and rent a baby seat. So I have to walk across the airport after 16 hrs of travel to try and rent another car seat after I had already paid for one..
Very bad service on that end . If they don't have the seats they should not have it available to rent ..
How do I get my money back I paid for the seat???

Cons: I plan on contesting my credit card charge. I was quoted a price of E193.34. I ended up being charged E308.30 with an additional charge of E66.96 for an additional driver. There was no explanation of where the other E44 came from. Additionally there was no prior mention that the vehicle was a diesel nor that a E5,436 security charge would be applied to my credit card.

GreAt rental experience
Pros: The car was just what we needed. No line at pickup. Very friendly help. Easy drop off.
Cons: The true cost of renting a car in Ireland is disguised in the insurance fee.

Pros: It was so awful it was actually humorous.
Cons: The rear wiper was missing, drivers side door didn't lock, passenger side door couldn't be opened front the outside. Overall an awful car. Lots of hidden fees added on as well, declining insurance results in a 5,000 euro hold on your card which would max most people's cards out on the start of a trip.
Pros: Fast pickup and dropoff, and the car was spotless and low mileage.

Staff Very Customer Service Oriented
Pros: The staff was responsive to my needs and very helpful. Make sure you consider insurance and GPS needs prior to arriving. You should get both if you don't have adequate coverage from your personal insurance company...or have a GPS option. Also, do not get a manual shift. It's challenging enough to drive with an automatic. It is preferred to get a diesel vehicle as 70% of the cars in Ireland are diesel. The roads are narrow...get a "small" car!! Over all it was a positive experience and I will use Enterprise again when in Dublin.
Cons: Transfer from the airport to the car lot is confusing. Make sure to clarify how to get transported to the car lot.
