Great car, mixed review on customer service
Pros: The brand new car I got from Budget & the drop-off procedure was great. Would highly recommend based on these two variables. In fact, the agent who checked me in upon returning my car was the very gentleman whose trainer from 4 days earlier was so very poor a communicator! He, fortunately did not learn this behavior from her.
Cons: The pickup procedure would have gone more smoothly had the woman who assisted me been more communicative. I understand she was training a new guy behind the counter, but each time she abruptly left my paperwork to go assist him, she never acknowledged the interruption! I travel a lot for work & have always found patience & kindness are my defaults when dealing with the ups & downs of travel - it doesn't always fix the problem, but it makes the entire experience more bearable. However, her inability or unwillingness to say a simple, Pardon me," before assisting her trainee began to really get under my skin as it added more & more time to my entire pickup experience. (I was only mildly irritated, but the rather lengthy line of customers waiting behind me for pickup was definitely more than annoyed but the time my transaction was completed.) To cap things off, her directions to my car were the complete opposite of where it was actually parked. Neither of these things are deal breakers, but kept me from giving strong marks across the board.
