Pros: I liked the fact that it the vehicle was very clean and comfortable and came fully equipped.
The rate was reasonable - even the rate to replace the gas, which is often exorbitant.
Cons: I EXPRESSLY chose Firefly because their listing said IN TERMINAL.
They are NOT in the terminal.
This meant I had the drag my 86 year old mother all over the airport and shuttle area to get our rental car.
Also, they were short on staff meaning I literally waited at least 35 minutes to complete my transaction. The fact that my vehicle (which had been out for an oil change) had to be added back into service mad it even longer. The poor folks in line behind me probably waited 45 minutes....that's just crazy wrong!

Could not rent a car!
Cons: Our flight was delayed and by the time we went to rent, Firefly was closed but we were not notified that Firefly would close at 11:30 pm. Yes, we were shunted to Thrifty, who did rent us a comparable car at a comparable price, but if it weren't for a really nice and knowledgeable shuttle driver, we would not have known to go there (to Thrifty) instead.

The car was not similar at ALL!
Pros: It was a fast rental process.
Cons: The total of my rental was $148.55 including the insurance but I found a separate charge of $45 on my credit card from the insurance company.
The car was not similar to a dodge avenger at all!

Cons: The employee did not clearly explain policies about gas and insurance requirements and seem to be attempting to encourage us to spend additional money on additional features that were not necessary.

Pros: the price
Cons: First car smelled horrible, second car was dirty but I was running late and didn't want to go for a third. Airport shuttle took over 30 minutes because "they weren't busy so didn't want to run more shuttles" although competitor shuttles (hertz national etc) were running frequently. Staff were not at all helpful. I tried to contact customer service and they didn't really do anything.
Would never use them again.

Big Bang for the buck
Pros: Car had 30K miles on it, but drove well and, because of the value, allowed us to upsize it.
Cons: Could have been a tad cleaner.

Cons: I wasn't informed that they would be placing a $200 hold on my credit card. The booking said the rental location was "in-terminal" and it is definitely not. The staff were unprofessional and it took an incredibly long time to process my information.

Ups and downs
Pros: Car was nice enough
Cons: 1) listed as 'in terminal' but had to take a five minute shuttle ride. Not sure if this is a Kayak mis-classification or if Firefly is misrepresenting.
2) shuttle was infrequent and/or slow. Watched at least four Hertz shuttles go by before the Firefly shuttle showed up.
3) There was literally no one at the rental counter when we got there, and no one showed up for a good 3+ minutes. Seriously?
4) Upon returning the car I was told I had to go back inside to close out my order. Not a good customer experience.
Just kinda wacky. The most important part (the car) was fine, but the other fringe stuff makes me not want to use them again....

Pros: Had no issues with the car or customer service at pickup/dropoff...but --
Cons: it took an hour (ONE HOUR!) to be picked up by a shuttle at the airport. That's just ridiculous.
Pros: We were helped at the kiosk is so much faster.

Hertz at Philadelphia International Airport is ran
Pros: The car ran.
Cons: Basically everything. The $50 i agreed to online and commited to during pickup for a single day of rental almost turned into $130 at drop off. Car took forever to pickup because they overbooked rentals so I almost was left without a vehicle. The windshield wipers were terrible which didn't facilitate the 3 hour trip through the rain. The brakes were equally terrible. I dropped off my family at Hertz in the airport before going to fill up the gas tank but meanwhile an employee checked the car in and charged me $10 per gallon (local gas prices = $2 per gallon) while I had asked to revert the charges so I could make a quick trip to a gas station considering I showed up almost 2 hours early for the return. The answer I got was "it's too late, already done". I asked for the manager who agreed to give me a one time "discount" on the gas and charged me only 200% of the local prices rather than 500%.....yay. The manager asked me to do a phone survey which I agreed to but he used MY phone to dial the number and then proceeded to ask me questions and do the phone survey HIMSELF. In fact, when he asked me how likely i was to ever recommend Hertz on a 0 to 9 scale I answered 3 and I watches him press the number 9 on the krypad. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Pros: Wayman offered a new service in which he drove me directly from the Hertz location to my gate, at no additional charge.
Cons: The communication could have been better re: what I needed to clean or remove and what I could leave behind, to expedite my leave-taking process.

Pros: The car was in decent shape -- clean and ran well.
Cons: Shuttle from the airport took 20-25 minutes to arrive. Driver was rude. Service was rough at the lot. Car had 40k miles. Gas policy is outrageous.

Cons: Waited 15 minutes for shuttle, caught a ride with Avis bus
Directed to a parking place all the way across the lot to get my car, and the space was empty. Had to walk all the way back across to office to get assigned another car.
Neither of the above would have been bad if it hadnt been 100 am and after dealing with a plane delay.

Cons: PHL representative was very stingy with the meter for gas. charged me 25 unnecessarily for "not returning on full" when the indicator was halfway on the full line. not to mention this was how much gas i received in the car in LGA when i picked it up.

Pros: The rental process was so easy and after talking with me the agent actually upgraded my rental at no extra cost. The pick up and drop off areas were very clean and my car was brand new. Highly recommend them.
Cons: I made the purchase on Kayak using the parameters in the app and booked online. Once they had the shuttle take me to the store, the price doubled, though they could clearly see the price booked from kayak, they refused to honor it, saying the problem was with kayak. After protesting, I eventually had to leave because I was short on time. Weeks later, after filing a complaint on their website, kicking a storm on Twitter, my issue remains unresolved. Never again.

Pros: The person at the desk. He was nice, everything thing else about your rotten company should be thrown out.
Cons: Waste of my time and I went to Alamo and gladly gave them my money. What a nice and accommodating company. Easy to work with and inexpensive. They did just what they advertised. Your company is tacky dusty and deceptive. You know how this goes with, now I'm going to tell 5 people who will tell 5 people and..... By the end of the week about 1000 people with if they don't already know how terrible your company is and to NEVER use you.

Pros: The Lady at the counter was a sweetheart and made the rental process clear and understandable. The shuttle drivers were courteous and friendly and kept the buses clean.
Cons: The car was clean but it looked as though it was done quickly and it was not done carefully. Streaks on windows and rearview mirror.

Cons: My Chrysler 200 had a stain on the driver's seat and the interior smelled. The first car offered was a Nissan that someone had sprayed the gages on the dash with something that had dried and couldn't come off, making them unreadable. The woman at the counter gave me an attitude when she couldn't understand my email address. Never again National Car Rental!
