Cons:

Made a reservation on kayak but there were no cars available when we arrived to pick up the car. Did not get a car! Waste of time and money I will not use kayak for car reservations

I was driven 42 miles to retrieve the rental only to be told I could not use a debit card because I have an out-of-state drivers license. I had proof of insurance, plenty of funds to pay for the rental but was denied. I was told by the associate that he attempted to contact me the day before to advise of company policy but the only info they were provided was Kayak’s contact info. Everything scheduled that was dependent on my participation had to be cancelled. Absolutely horrible experience!

When we picked up the car in Brunswick, we found out that there was no drop box in New Bern Airport NC accessible after 10 PM. Since we had plan to return the car after that time, that forced us to change our travel plans. I really think that these type of restrictions should clearly be stated out at the time of booking so the client knows and can reorganise ahead of time. Very friendly and helpfull personnel in Brunswick.

I used Kayak to rent a car & when I got to Budget they didn’t have anything available. Nothing.. Nobody from Budget called me to let me know before I drove out there. The desk clerk was on her personal phone when I arrived & seemed annoyed that she had to end her call to let me know they didn’t have any cars.
