Excellent location right next to shopping on Michigan Ave. Many great restaurants are walking distance. Nice view in the heart of downtown. Great affordable rates. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Our 2 year old daughter was giving hugs to the front desk associates when we would leave. Highly recommended!!!
No pool. Breakfast was not included and breakfast buffet was 14.99 per person.
Great, spacious hotel room. Very clean.
The TV did not work.
The room was great! Much bigger than we expected, and had a nice sitting room and desk area in addition to the (very comfortable!) bed. Neat rooftop lounge, great place to go grab a drink and enjoy the view. Staff was very friendly, and you absolutely can't beat the location.
My only complaint is that there were a lot of issues with the elevators being broken the last couple days. Usually at least one was functional, but with a lot of traffic flowing up to the rooftop bar that wasn't quite enough, and it's not fun taking the stairs to the higher floors!
The bed was comfortable
This hotel is in serious need of remodeling! There is signage (28th floor near the elevator) with blended jagged edges. The filers in the room need to be cleaned. The bathtubs have caulking with gaping holes everywhere and the carpet needs cleaning. There are layers of cobwebs all over the windows and in the business area of the room.
We had the best time in Chicago and that was made all the better because of MileNorth Hotel. The people were so welcoming and warm. They have a great cafe serving Intelligentsia Coffee. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. This hotel is a well kept secret because they excel and exceed expectations on so many levels!
Nothing. It was all perfect.
The overall Of the room & the view was spectacular.. Definitely will be coming back soon.
Everyone was remarkably nice, very accomadating. Super helpful after I accidentally scheduled our reservation for the wrong day. They made sure we got settled in okay and we felt very relaxed. I also had my service dog with me and everyone was very friendly with him and made sure all our standards were met. Very friendly staff. After traveling across country by car, Mile North was the most affordable for what we got. Way better than anything else we paid for! Chicago is a lovely city and the hotel was in a perfect location for our visit.
I didn't like that I had to leave the amazingly comfy bed and get back on the road after only one day in Chicago.
The atmosphere within the hotel was very inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! I booked my room the day of due to my flight being cancelled. In addition to my flight being cancelled, my luggage left without me on a different flight and I was stranded without toiletries. Hotel staff made sure I had everything I needed!
Like the spacious suite, bedding comfort, lobby area, customer service and location of hotel
Bathroom was small, elevator was slow, WiFi was poor
Everything was great except the thin walls. At some points our neighbors talked so loud it sounded like they were inside our room
Everything about this hotel was awesome. Spacious rooms, clean, friendly service, and everything was a visual feast. Couldn't believe the price, either. Thanks.
The location can't be beat. Close enough to Michigan Avenue for easy access to shopping, restaurants, etc., but 1/2 a block away so that it's a little bit quieter. Hotel wifi was pretty fast.
We booked a Tower City View King Suite, but it was not available when we checked in so we were downgraded to a Tower Queen Suite. 1 of 2 elevators was out of service for 2 days! (which makes it quite a chore to get to the room on the 28th floor) Forgot something? Too bad, because I'm not waiting 10 minutes to wait for an elevator going up and 10 minutes for an elevator going down. Room was unbearable stuffy and slightly noisy. I usually sleep like a baby, but I tossed and turned every night for 4 nights.
Good location....close to Michigan Ave. The hotel charges $4.95 per day for hotel services at the end of your stay, supposedly for "free" wi-fi (which you can get outside the hotel too). This is not mentioned upfront nor is it mentioned by Kayak. The question is, would the hotel have charged me this extra if I had booked directly with them and not gone thru Kayak????
Rooftop bar, location, nice staff, great pillows
Rooms seem old inspite of attempts to renovate, esp bathroom, and quality of room not that great for $, bed was pretty hard, didn't know about super expensive parking rate until we got to hotel
Good location and staff was decent. We didn't have a chance to go to the lounge they advertise.
A couple things - (1) don't stay here if you want a good nights sleep. You can hear literally everything outside your door and hear every door on your floor slam shut. (2) you will be charged a $6.95 hotel service charge at the end of your stay. Apparently this is to cover the costs of "free" wi-fi and the fitness center plus a donation to a local hospital. Ridiculous. All in all, very average hotel and I probably wouldn't stay here again.
