Room was spacious and comfortable. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Great location and surprisingly very quiet! Would definitely stay here again!
The only way to see Chicago. Location was great although no downtown view. Rooms were filled with space, luxury and history. I could not ask for more. I would definitely return
The location was excellent.
Toilet ran all night, mold in the shower, rooms exceptionally small, no convenient place for computer.
Perfectly central location
We had a fantastic stay at the silversmith hotel. With the affordability of the room coupled with its luxury and proximity to the park, can't beat this deal. Very friendly staff as well.
Location was central - close to the Art Institute, Michigan Avenue, Millennium Park, public transportation. Beds are extremely comfortable. Elevators use keycard to access, providing a nice level of security.
Not a bustling part of town at night. Most restaurants and bars are a cab ride away. Street construction limited space to park your car to unload/load. No views due to tall building all most sides. Workout room is nice and modern, but has limited cardio and weight lifting equipment - no cycles or weight machines. What they do have is very nice and overlooks the Wabash St. You can actually look directly at the "L" train (and people can look directly at you working out.
Loved the proximity to State Street shopping and also only few blocks from Millenium park. Surprisingly quiet rooms given you're in the heart of the city. Clean and comfortable- will definitely be back.
No city views from our room on 6th floor... Not a high rise hotel with sweeping city views like some others. Still, really liked this historic hotel and its location made up for lack of views. Parking is expensive ($50+ for overnight)... But most downtown hotels in Chicago are this way.
This hotel is beyond amazing. It doesn't scream luxury from the street, but the moment you step inside, you're surrounded by quiet and beauty. The room was beautifully designed with art deco, and the bathroom was large. The best surprises were the bathrobes in the closet, the refrigerator, and the individual Keurig coffee maker, all in the room. The restaurant was cozy and comfortable, and the food was great. I'd highly recommend this hotel. I can't wait to come back myself!
Service in the restaurant is a little slow; however, if you let them know you're in a hurry, then they accommodate you well.
Modern decor and great customer service! The staff was very attentive and professional as they helped me store/freeze my breastmilk. They even arranged for a secluded pumping location after I had checked out and no longer had access to my room! Very friendly and helpful in general.
Very noisy outside from the elevated train, but my room was on the other side of the hotel and I didn't hear the train at all. Room was narrow and small, but had all the expected amenities (except floor space to stretch). View was close up wall of neighbor building.
The staff were amazing! Loved the rooms, super spacious with huge ceilings and the most comfy bed!!
Professional and courteous.
I didn't actually stay there. They had over-booked. On the plus side, they arranged a stay nearby at a nice hotel and paid my cab fare.
