The staff was very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed the coffee and hot chocolate bar in the morning. Like the new decor too. Had changed alot since our last stay there. We really like the location in downtown. Easy access to our destinations. We will be back.
From the front desk to the bar to the curb side assistance, everyone was wonderful. I need to sign up for rewards. Whenever I have a chance I stay at a kimpton property- more so in seattle and San Diego, but Chicago just ensured my appreciation for everything Kimptom. Thank you.
This hotel was amazing! From the staff, the cleanliness and the location you couldnt ask for anything better! The hotel was beautifully decorated. The hotel is in walking distance to many attractions including the metra station, daily plaza, michigan and state street! I will definitely be returning and telling others about the great stay i had!!
The remodel makes the front desk readily accessible when you walk in. When the rooms are ready they are very willing to allow you to check in early! We also enjoyed the happy hour, the staff assisting with the event were respectful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and will definitely stay again!
There was a loud group staying two doors down that kept us up most of the night- when we finally called the front desk took care of it promptly, just shows that we needed to say something sooner!
Hotel was very close to CTA station from O'Hare. Short walk to Millennium Park. Short walks to many areas and CTAs to get almost anywhere else. Room was small but clean and nice. Had a very romantic/boutique feel. Close to theaters, if you plan a show.
Coffee only in lobby for morning. Room felt dusty. 312 Restaurant seemed close to empty almost every night and not too many sit down restaurant options within close walking distance.
They had the best comfy beds! The rooms were pretty.
The bathroom was extremely small!
There was no running water, the only consideration they gave guests was a memo slipped under the door. Did not even mention it during check out. Morning was super loud with the cleaning staff. Pretty shabby reception, guest service and experience. -Mark
The rooms were very nice, and very cute!
There was some confusion with the reservation. Unfortunately, the hotel was sold out so they couldn't rectify the mistake. Parking was convenient but expensive.
I just lived this hotel. It was a holiday weekend so all hotels were very expensive. We chose this one because of the location and price. It was very "hip". The Ron was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The staff was also quite a joy. I would highly recommend this hotel!
- Very friendly staff! - Very clean - Unique
- Unique - Very noisy - Small room
Transported back to the 1920s, but in a good way! This hotel was renovated beautifully with a modern twist on the 1920s era. As I walked through the halls, I felt like I was walking past the state rooms on the Titanic. Beautiful artwork, chandeliers, staircases, and furniture, all with modern colors and beautiful finishing touches. The beds were very comfortable and the room full of amenities and special touches. Location is perfect, within walking distance of restaurants and theaters, including the House of Blues, of which we were in town for a concert. Fresh fruit and build your own trail mix offered in the lobby for breakfast and a Starbucks café on the way out the door made our morning complete. A wedding was taking place our first night there, and it is the perfect venue for such an event. We would totally come back!
Parking was expensive.
Very accommodating. I made a mistake when booking and they were able to fix at no charge. Free happy hour between 5 and 6pm. Free bike rental. Great style.
Nothing. That was the worst weekend of my life.
I did not like that our room was oversold by your services. You tried to call us just a few hours before we got there. Of course I was driving and could not pick up the phone. When we presented to the hotel frontdesk, the staff was incredibly rude. No way we could discuss the situation. It was difficult to reach booking.com services on the phone, and once I reached them eventually, they were not helpful at all. We wanted to spend a magical weekend in Chicago, and this weekend ended like the worst one of my life. Because of that, you made us shorten our weekend. We went back home on the same day, and only enjoyed one afternoon in Chicago instead of a weekend. Very very very disappointing weekend, and you can be sure I will never go through your website again to book a hotel room. Ever.
I liked the lobby but that was all I got to see
When I arrived to Allegro Chicago I was told I was moved hotels because they had a "glitch" in their system and that th e room I booked was already taken. The hotel I got moved to was 30 miles on the other side of Chicago. Then they tell me to call booking.com to figure things out, when it was clearly their fault and none of bookings at all, but would hotel allegro take the blame.? No, no they wouldn't, luckily for me booking. Com and Linda the woman I talked to care about their customers unlike hotel allegro and got me a more expensive room at the Hilton Chicago and reimbursed me the difference. So no I was not pleased at all with my 3 minute stay at Allegro Chicago.
Very fast check in. King bed was actually very comfortable. Location to attractions downtown. Safe area.
Parking ($57 a night). We called for parking for Friday evening to Saturday mid-morning, and it was 57/night. Instead we found a parking ramp on Franklin and Lake St. (approx. 1.5 blocks NW of the hotel) for $12 dollars for weekend up to 24 hours. We did that and it actually was. French doors for the bathroom did not close fully. This was due to the new tile floor. No Bible in the room. Good luck waiting for elevators around typical check in time, mornings, and during/right after the wine hour on weekdays. Just take the stairs if you are going down.
