Modern boutique hotel Vik Chile is a meld of glass and metal in bucolic Millahue Valley, two hours south of Santiago. A Japanese-inspired criss-cross of walkways over a reflecting pool leads to the entrance of this wavy-roofed stay; inside, themed suites are individually designed by Chilean and international artists and a sultry restaurant serves authentic South American fare paired with wines from the estate’s vineyards. Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout ensure you never miss a second of the dramatic landscape: expanses of the owners’ vineyards and the Andes beyond. Head into the great outdoors for horseback riding, hiking and cycling; or unwind in the wine-infused holistic spa. Cheers to a chilled-out Chilean getaway.

Pros: Amazing architecture, five stars comfort and service. Unforgettable experience to stay in a high level hotel inside a vineyard!
Cons: You could give us at least a bottle of your wine as a gift. At Hotel Real- Santa Rita vineyard- I have got one...
Pros: Amazing hotel in a stunning location. We couldn’t fault the service. We took advantage of the spa which had great massage services. The pool was still quite warm even though it was April.
Cons: It can get quite expensive when you start purchasing add ons (eg winery tour, horseback riding) but that’s what you get for such a luxurious hotel!

Cons: I couldn't stay longer!
Pros: Hacienda Los Lingues, allowed us the opportunity to experience some history and culture while holiday in Chile. The place is a monument to times gone by and a place to relax and enjoy the neighbouring wine region. The food was good, the service excellent but not overbearing.
Pros: Historic location.
Pros: The staff was great!
Cons: I would have liked to seen the grounds kept up more. It would have also been awesome to see some of the old buildings kept up better as well.
Pros: The hacienda and surrounding property is truly beautiful as is its location, slightly off the beaten track. Antonio and all the staff were very welcoming, making us feel much wanted and valued guests.
Pros: Athmosphere of 317 year old hazienda full of antiques and memories of past times
Cons: It is obvious that property doesn’t generate sufficient cash to keep it in a good shape. And the service could be better. No information about the history of hazienda. We were guided through the property only under request.
Pros: Location and the history
Cons: Getting run down. Seems that the 2010 earthquake must have really set them back. Understaffed to maintain the once magnificent grounds Unfortunately, it has fallen far from being listed in book "1000 Places to Visit before you Die" and when was a Relais&Chateau hotel.

Pros: Property was absolutely gorgeous! We loved the fire, the breakfast, the bed, and especially the outdoor living!
Cons: The only thing that was tricky about this property was getting to it. We came after dark and had trouble getting someone to let us in the gate. Also our GPS did not seem to be able to find it, so if the sign said not been on the road we probably wouldn’t have.
Pros: Very beautiful property and garden. Comfortable rooms and common area. Great breakfast. Great location to explore the surrounding vineyards. Staff is very helpful and accommodating.
Pros: Nice house, beautiful location in the nature, close to a river. Very nice people taking care of the property.
Cons: No easy to arrive
Pros: The setting is marvellous, very parklike. It requires a car to get to.
Pros: The shower was great and the river view was beautiful
Cons: The staff made you feel very uncomfortable, watching you whilst you ate breakfast and were not there to open the gate at checkin. Breakfast was always an hour late (they stayed from 8-10am but was only ready after 9) It was not stated that there are no nearby shops or restaurants nor that lunch nor dinner are available at the property... The wifi didn’t work on our last day and our room wasn’t made either. It was very remote unless you have a rental car and probably not worth it. Rather stay at an actual wine farm with tastings, wine and good food and friendly staff.
Pros: Everything!! The house and its surroundings are beautiful. Victor and Katherine were really hepful. The breakfast was amazing.

Pros: Hospitality of the hosts, good food.
Pros: A high quality retreat.
Pros: The grounds & flowers were exceptional.
Cons: Nothing everything was good.
Pros: The location of the property is in the middle of the country side. I recommend to come before sunset as it will be difficult to find the way at night. Also it’s beutiful to watch the sunset sitting next to the pool with a glass of wine and freshly baked bread with tomato salsa from the garden. Dinner was amazing, everything tasted great and was done from local products by the owner of the house. The property has a big land but it’s all well maintained and taken care of. The lodges for visitors and nicely decorated and spacious with private balconies overlooking the garden which is full of fruits and berries. Breakfast was delicious as well, especially the eggs as they are very fresh. The owners are very friendly and you wish to stay longer and not to go anywhere else.
Cons: That we needed to leave

Pros: The staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms were a bit disappointing (especially the bathrooms could use a renovation). It is more of a bed & breakfast, not a boutique hotel.
Pros: Like a small oasis of greenery, calm, and comfort in a busy city. Everything was lovely from the pitcher of lemonade at our arrival to the room, grounds and breakfast. The staff and the owner went out of their way to help us both for our stay at the hotel and for difficulties communicating with business at our home. Highly recommend..
Pros: B/F great and staff very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Location is superb, friendly staff and facilities were more than expected
Pros: We really enjoyed the tour of the vineyards and the story of the evolution of the vineyards ! Fascinating tale and we learned a ton about the nuances of growing grapes . We also got great travel tips for the rest of our trip in Chile and visited an epic surf spot at Puenta Lobos thanks to Will who besides giving a fantastic tour was a fly fishing guide and excellent surfer ! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Will and his A+ staff! Thank you. Doug. San Clemente ,Calif USA
Pros: Great easy to find property in the foothills of the Andes - a really nice pool and hiking trail on-site (we went birdwatching and saw a lot of species) plus your just a short drive to higher peaks. Food on-site was high quality and a good value, and we really like their house wines.
Pros: Beautiful setting. Very quiet. Staff was wonderful.
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom was very bad. We were very surprised that we had to pay $15/hour to use the hot tub as we thought this was part of the facility and was no charge. The dinner was very overpriced with one choice each night! Chicken curry for $30 in Chile! We had wonderful dinners all over Chile for much less in upscale restaurants.

Pros: Room was comfortable, good bed and bathroom linins, comfortable pillows. Everything was clean and in good condition.
Cons: Location - the hotel is some distance from downtown.
Pros: Once the evening did set in it was quiet, however it is on a busy road, Not a really great walking area if you want to stroll rather than drive
Cons: The hotel needs better seating & privacy areas with updated comfortable furniture, & for the location a pool, lounge area would be a great asset
Pros: The hotel is located in a VERY quiet place. Ideal to have a good rest. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast is great.
Cons: The first night we had to request the hot water to be turned on.

Pros: Is a beautiful place to stay. A little bit tricky to find. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. You feel like being at home
Cons: A small sign on the main road will be very helpful. The road to get there is narrow and difficult to find
Pros: Nice bed
Cons: Everything else really - terrible communication and staff, awful location, feels like a glorified Airbnb - nothing boutique or hotel about it
Pros: This a big old country house in one of Chile's prime wine counties that has been turned into a B&B. We absolutely loved this place. Our room was spacious and really comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean. The decorations and the vibe of the place were wonderful. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Señora Magdalena, who showed us to our room and explained every detail of how the small hotel works. She was also in charge of serving breakfast to us, and made accommodations to align with our schedule. Breakfast was very complete and plentiful, and it included eggs made to order on the spot. The house has a beautiful backyard with a swimming pool, which we unfortunately didn't get time to use. Overall a great value for your money. We highly recommend this place.
Cons: Getting there was a bit tricky, but that's mostly because there were some works on the highway at the time of our visit. Other than that, out stay was nearly perfect.
Pros: Wow...what a gem! Beautiful, large rooms within wine country. Great courtyard with a nice pool. Views of gorgeous and delicious grapes! The staff was excellent. They provided a very good breakfast with eggs cooked perfectly. Tasty fresh fruit from the property as well. Close to many vineyards. Quiet and tranquil...great star gazing. Excellent property!
Cons: Nothing...it was wonderful!
Pros: Very classy space in the Chilean country side
Pros: Its a wonderful place with very helpful hosts. The property is pretty luxorious, very nice design and couzy. All the facilities were very nice, as we happened to be the only visitors, then we had the whole big house just for ourselves.

There is a charming wine bar restaurant off of their barrel room, which has good food and friendly staff. Likewise, the breakfast room is cute and well stocked with meats, cheeses, toast, jams, fruit, and beverages. If you have the time, it's also well worth a visit to the main restaurant 1km up the road. That overlooks a polo field and vineyard vines. Highly recommend the sandwiches for lunch!

Pros: Charming and beautiful. The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was an exceptional experience in every way
Pros: Decor and style. Breakfast was good. Edwin was friendly to us and spoke good English.

Cons: The pool was a bit cold in the season
Pros: We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my wife and our baby. We enjoyed the meal, the horses and the wine tour that Christian recommended us. Christian is an excellent host always worried about our needs and available to respond to our concerns. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to rest and enjoy days in the middle of nature. Nice to find this wonderfull hotel just 2 hours far away from Santiago. Hope we will visit this hotel again in the future.

Cons: We had just travelled 12000 km from England and arrived at Rancho Villa Alegre at 2pm on 31 March to find the gate locked. No reply received to both phone numbers given. Neighbour thought they were away. After 3 hours of trying we had to find some where else, when very tired. The booking had been confirmed via Booking.com a few days earlier. We still have not received any explanation or apology. Do not risk booking here - you will be let down!!!
