We liked the location for seeing chateaux, the garden restaurant, the beautifully decorated bedroom, the wonderful bathroom and the comfortable pilows and bed. The food was wonderful, although the breakfast buffet was more limited that in the other hotels we stayed in. Unfortunately, something happened with our reservation.I had the booking.com confirmation I received for the night of Sept.1st, but the Auberge du Centre had a booking confirmation for that night and the night before when we were still in Roissy and attending a wedding. The woman at the desk was very upset about this and she spent at least twenty minutes talking to me about it.There was little I could do but explain my end of the reservation(in French, I might add) and feel more and more upset as she went on.I felt sorry that a mistake had happened and for her loss of income. This problem took the joy out of what should have been a very pleasant experience.I never received any confirmation other than for Sept.1st for this hotel from you.
Very pleasent service. Room very nicely decorated, elegant and stylish, but not too heavy, creating a cosy atmosphere. Quiet. Excellent restaurant, aperitif offered by the hotel in a comfortable common space/bar.
Excellent food. Pleasant grounds. Comparatively expensive. Fixed menu only on evening of our visit.
Clean, wooden floors, good food deals for children. Helpful staff and a place to store bicycles
Reasonable price, clean, Long way from Blois, no other restaurants in the area without driving
We have stayed at several Campaniles over the years, and have generaly been happy with it, we enjoy the restaurants, but think the room need some improvment.
The setting was ok Bedrooms were only basic. Needed a lot of upgrades. Hotel was quite old. Not value for mone.
The hotel was good value for money. I wouldn't want to stay for any great length of time but it was good for an overnight stop.
Very good location, if you travel by car.
Our room was on the ground floor and the only way to get fresh air was to open a door to the car park, which left us feeling vulnerable. A noisy coach party arrived at 11:30 pm which woke us up.
Good for one night stay on the way to final destination. Quiet environment. Close to highway. Friendly and helpful staff Old facilities, need some improvement, especially the bathroom. No air conditioning. A bit far from the city center of Blois.
Far from gorgeous but well facilitated for family with small children. Friendly staffs. Casual restaurant. Easy free parking. No elevator. No mini bar (but a vending machine near lobby).
I liked the price and the location. The bathroom carrelage was really dirty, I told them about it then I thought they would clean it next day. They did not.Rooms were a litle too hot,no fans or air conditioning.
Very very good price of the hotel, and the service is good. The staff is very friendly. we arrived late at night at 10pm and the guy was still waiting for us. compare with what i paid there is nothing i should complain about this hotel. It is definatly worth the money!!
the friendly and helpful manager (Gil) and his staff, and the privacy I always had the lack of a bath and a fridge, but these are very minor points
Quiet Lack of restaurant; only pizzeria close by.
It's all it should be for the money you pay
Standard room at decent price. Room & shower weren't too clean.
Very good and excellent cuisine. none
Very attractive buildings set in pleasant countryside close to Cheverny. Our room (in the Vestry annexe) was new and very well appointed and had air conditioning. Restaurant was excellent, though with no choice of menu. Good wines. Attentive service. Price was at the high end for this hotel.
We wanted to be in a central location to visit a variety of chateaus and cathedrals and this was convenient and had free parking. Our room was quite distance from the chateau in a converted farm outbuilding. Very cramped and very poor ventilation. Entry drive in very poor shape.
A very pleasant and convenient base to explore the Loire valley. Carrying luggage up a spiral staircase to the top floor, limited choice evening meal.
Friendly staff, nice location and good food
The grounds were lovley but the rooms were small Rooms were very basic
Welcoming and helpful staff; peaceful surroundings, pool
The dinner was high quality (fixed price menus available at 30, 40 euros). Quiet rural location, near several major chateaux. Large bedroom. A bit expensive for its quality. A bit old fashioned in decor/style of rooms. (But all functioned ok). Free wifi only offered in common parts, and at restricted times, although nearby bedrooms could get just the signal. No /ac (although not needed on our visit).
The surroundings were very pleasant and easy to walk around. The hotel has easy access to Blois
Very well sited for the Loire Chateaux. Good family run hotel with excellent restaurant and service. Would have been nice to have a shower screen on the bath. Not too warm when we were there in September, but in summer months the rooms lacking aircon might be an issue.
A lovely atmosphere, created by the location and the excellent staff. The location was ideal for visiting several chateau. The immediate location, set among fields, with a pond near the main entrance, was a delight.
The hotel is very pretty and quiet location. Restaurant was also good. Room was nice, clean and comfortable.
A very pleasant environment and an excellent location from which to explore the Loire Valley; friendly staff Unimaginative breakfast, limited choice.
Excellent staff, great resturant, good breakfast
We loved this hotel, clean, modern, friendly. Near chambord so not around the hotel but it was quiet and really nice.
Very nice people. A bit difficult speaking English, but enough to get by. The hotel was very modern, and one of the nicest we stayed in during our trip!
Surprisingly chic inside the hotel. Outside it looked pretty ordinary and uninspiring. We didn't eat in the hotel but this is the major attraction. Good location for the Chateau at Chambord and Blois. Would return if we are ever in that location again.
Friendliness of staff no
Very good standard of accomodation, great atmosphere and excellent restaurant.
Location - near Chambord; Quietness of the hotel. Excellent breakfast.
The hotel is excellent, the staff is friendly, the rooms are very nice and the food is fantastic
great food for fair price at * rated michelin restauranr maybe only room 2, but combined heat/cooling system makes (even shut down) enoying noices. confort not in relation to excellence of rating of restaurant
staff welcoming..rooms light and clean...location good for what we wanted We enjoyed our stay but found the lack of tea making facilities in rooms not good for us. The food was lovely but too much and too late for us. There was no access to English news....everything in French...the access to internet poor in the rooms. Not complaints observations.
staff very attentive location on industrial park
The hotel is basic but the room was clean. Less than 10 minutes drive from the center of Blois. It was a little difficult to find in an industrial estate. A GPS would have been useful, but beware because the geographical coordinates are incorrect!
No restaurant for evening meal
exelent price, free internet, free parking, big shoping cnter very close, very closed to all maun chatou in the erea we stayd 4 nights all was perfect
It was ok, but very rundown looking, needs repairs, our shower handle was broken, carpets were stained and no elevator. For people traveling with lots of luggage, they don;t want to lug all that stuff up stairs. had a hard time getting on the internet, needs to be more detailed explanation. Also it said it was going to send the password to a mobile phone, but we are from the US and don't have phones that work in Europe so we could NOT receive the text message with the password. Luckily the reception person, let us use hers.
