We had been riding our motorbike in the rain all day, so the owner checked us in and immediately showed us the drying room where we could dry all our wet clothing and motorcycle gear. Very helpful guy.
The hotel is located in a nice town. However, during our stay in the beginning of September, almost everything was closed. The hotel is nice, the stuff is nice, the rooms are clean. There is a privet parking. I've been in 4 hotels in Italy during my vocation (all the same price and 1 even cheaper) and this one was the least pleasant. The rooms are small with very (!) old furniture. The bathroom is TINY! The breakfast is OK but not more than that... After reading the reviews, I was expecting more and was very disappointed.
Very nice refurbished rooms. A good price-value ratio for dinner.
Our room was comfortable and clean with a good shower/bathroom. Staff were very friendly and managed the bar next door as well. Evening meals are excellent value but have to be selected from a choice of two menus and booked earlier in the day. Located a couple of minutes walk from shops, bus-stop and restaurants, so excellent base for a few days in the Dolomites.
We recommend this hotel. We had a nice, big room with a balcony and a good view. Breakfast was good. Dinner was included which was four courses: salad, soup, entree and dessert. We stayed two nights; the salad, soup and dessert were good both nights, the entree was good one night, not too good the other. But overall a good deal, and we were very happy to get the meal after a full day in the Dolomites. The hotel is modestly hard to find so have your maps and directions ready. We found that 30 km in the Dolomites easily took an hour to drive, so if you know which area you prefer, try to stay in a hotel that is convenient to your desired activities. If Rocca Pietore suites your plans, this is a good hotel.
lovely peaceful location good bedrooms we'd booked half-board, were the only ones eating on a Saturday evening in late June - could it be that others knew that the waiter had trined at Faulty Towers?
I booked this hotel as part of a 13 stop, European road trip. This is one of the more difficult hotels to review, as we arrived late after a long day's driving and my experiences maybe tainted a bit. The hotel is situated in a beautiful, mountainous location which would be a great base for a walking holiday. As this was the most expensive hotel we booked on our trip, I had hoped for something special. But the rate may be a fair price for what looked like a expensive area. I was disappointed that although I requested a twin room we were given a double. We also had difficulty finding the hotel as it is not in Rocca Pietore itself.
Obliging and friendly staff at Reception, good food and prompt service, excellent location and great for outdoors pursuits. Wonderful for families with children. The hotel wing where our room was located had not elevator - difficult to bring luggages around.
Great location opposite Marmolada cableway. Within 40 min on skies, you are in Sella Ronda area. Thursday night torch walk was excellent experience in breath taking scenery, if you are there don't miss it. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, food is very good. Very handy is that in the hotel complex there are: grocery shop, two sport shops, souvenir shop and ski service/rent shop. Just remark that the internet in the lobby is little bit slow. And it would be nice to have Wi-Fi in the room.
Location, swimming pool, jacusi, mountain bike. The entrence to the room was from outside of the hotel, the TV was very small, the remote control dosn't work. The room was very simple. The breakfast time was till 9:00 AM only to early.
The best thing is the amplassament in a spectacular area That the room hadn't balcony and we asked for a smoking reason.
proximity to ski lift no
Large rooms . Comfortable beds .Quiet . The hotel mainly for tourists in winter. Nice but in a remote location. Part of the hotel needs renovation. In the evening, it is difficult to have a cup of tea. There is no jakuzzi i 4 bedrooms room .
Restaurant/Bar Staff were excellent - very friendly and attentive. Rooms very clean and in good condition.
The attitude of hotel staff made up for any small glitches. If you're coffee lover you better take a cup of tea for breakfast. But you can get a decent coffee in the bar downstairs.
Good service and good balance cost/service. Location is fare away but close to bigest lift in area. Personal hardly speaks English.
I liked the location and the use of the bikes available at the hotel. Breakfast was also good. The restaurant staff were unaware that we had breakfast included in the price and so there was no table resvered for us at breakfast- had to find a table, both mornings.
