Very different - and nice for one-two nights, as an old mansion with well restored building. Rooms are comfortable and large, breakfast buffet nice and the little old town has nice restaurants. A car is a must.
Wonderful place to stay. Very interesting hotel. And situated in an old non tourist town - so really worth going to. It was an adventure to go to this place and get off the beaten track. The staff also recommended to us a great restaurant to go to. We were very happy with everything about staying here.
Quiet clean appointed rooms, very helpful front of house staff, great realaxation hard to find!!
This is a very stylish hotel with some lovely features There is no restaurant actually at the hotel. There was an unconnected restaurant next door but we arrived too late to use it.
decent hotel, way off the tourist track, used it as a stopover going south room different from picture on website, no internet in room, overpriced for location off the beaten track
The style of the hotel - it is truly elegant, the building's architecture, the interior decoration and furniture are of really high level, there is nothing ersatz, over-the-top or vulgar about it. There is abundance of space - one deos not have the impression that every inch of space has been scrutinised by the accountants to see how much money they could make out of it. It is also quiet- it is a pleasure to walk along the corridors or sit in one of the many side recesses. The staff is friendly, polte and helpful. The gym left much to be desired. The machines were there - without instructions, which did not matter becasue most of them were not working at all.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful restaurant next door. Not easy to find
Lovely period property with lots of great features in a quite atmospheric hill town. Plenty of parking, spacious rooms with all mod cons and ample day rooms. Bar closed by 10pm, poor pillows - a thin piece of foam isn't good and let the side down, not to mention giving us sore necks.
