Pros: Excellent location Large very well equipped room
Pros: Location, personnel, rooms made the stay really comfortable.
Cons: In the deluxe room there are a separate shower room and a toilet. The entrances into them are not to next to each other and every time after toilet you have to make a long way through corridor and the room to the shower room in order to wash hands)) not a big deal, but a little bit annoying.
Pros: Everything was great. A pity they don't have a restaurant. But next to the hotel is a fantastic restaurant, very good, not to expansive
Cons: Paying for the parking 7.50. In front of the hotel I could have parked for free.
Pros: Nice room, décor. Breakfast food was very good. Coffee espresso machine was appreciated.
Cons: Breakfast area is far too small. Need to open up the space, more privacy is needed.
Pros: The toilet was separated from the bathroom!! Very comfortable bed and big room.

Htel Cosmos: the Antiquated Charm of Yesterday's Luxury Hotels. The Cosmos, overlooking the city, has 83 rooms. The majestic staircase, antique furnishings, large dining room opening out onto the deck and garden, billiard room and parlors all preserve its atmosphere.
Pros: Lovely place, we stopped only for one night but there is so much to do there, I could have stayed for a week! The outdoor pool is actually heated and really nice, the hammam as well, and the restaurant was very nice
Cons: Maybe the rooms need a bit of refurbishment, but it is minor it did not detract from the pleasure of our stay
Pros: Large historic hotel with huge stairs hall and big rooms. I felt like a century ago, travelling off the motorways, taking my time. Historic but confortable and clean.
Cons: the garden and surroundings could be a bit better maintained
Pros: We stopped at the hotel during a trip, and it looks alright with nice large rooms and clean and modern enough facilities. However, it's severely understaffed particularly in its restaurant department.
Cons: We decided to try the self styled "gastronomic" restaurant... We were quite disappointed - the personnel was obviously stretched thin to cover all tables (as if on a Friday night they didn't expect many customers?), they were courteous but forgetful and some could be heard arguing in front of customers... Even with that, we were expecting to receive better food than what we ordered. To me, it didn't raise above brasserie level in terms of idea, presentation or taste. The morning after, for breakfast, the situation was shambolic, again, with only one member of staff to register client room numbers and refill the buffet, with long lines, caused also by the fact that with all the space at disposal, the slowest point of service were the first ones to be accessed by the clients queueing to get their food. To justify the price, the managers should invest in more staff to assure the client's satisfaction. At the checkout, we were not the only ones complaining, and from what I see on trip advisor the situation has been similar for a few years now.
Pros: Great pool
Cons: Slow waiters in the restaurant.
Pros: Beautiful former glory building, very kind staff
Cons: the restaurant was way to expensive for the food quality and service. Breakfast could be better too, definitely frozen croissants and patisserie and bad coffee. And any service near the swimming pool would make sense, a drink at the water seemed impossible to organise.
Pros: Location was all important and free private parking. large quiet room as requested. Nice relaxing spa.
Pros: Beautiful old chic. Great pool and spa. Very helpful staff.
Cons: Restaurant service is a bit chaotic.
Pros: We come here already many times on the wat to the south. It's very comfortable and with the swimming pool it's a real bonus
Cons: The bar is very often closed. Just for a drink it's hard to get. The diner was not so good. Expensive but poor quality

Pros: clean and friendly staff.
Cons: Very loud between rooms, could everything from rooms above and beside. There was no door to bathroom from bedroom and the automatic turned on repeatedly during the night somebody walked upstairs.
Pros: The rooms where clean, the beds comfy. Price of the hotel is quiet expensive for what it is. The pool was charged eur 3 per person. The lady who welcomed us was nice and gave us some good ideas.
Pros: Rooms were good and a baby crib was delivered as requested. The family room was big enough for the 5 of us. The hotel is quiet and perfect for an overnighter to or from the South. Good value for money.

Pros: Well-fitted, clean, comfortable rooms; unusually quiet for a central location. Friendly & very helpful manager Laurent.

Cons: Can’t think of anything
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The dinner was very good. The staff was very helpfull.
Pros: While the place is dated it is immaculate and full of personality. It was the staff however that made this one of the most memorable experiences we've had. Over the top service and absolutely amazing dining. The fresh flowers and personal touches in the room were lovely and our welcome and goodbyes personable and sincere.
Cons: Honestly I wasn't sure I'd like it from the pictures, very dated and a bit strange, However it ended up being absolutely a joy to stay at because it was so clean. The shower was older but the waters of the spa town made it a pleasure and my hair feel amazing afterwards. Really no complaints for this kitschy hotel.
Pros: We were just passing through and stayer for 1 night. Most friendly hotel owner. We had diner there, really good service and nice food. Breakfast was great, lot of choice. Also kids friendly!
Pros: Atmosphere and everything about it, it was like a show

Located in Vittel, Hotel le Chalet Vitellius is a 4-minute drive from Thermes de Vittel and 5 minutes from Contrexeville Casino. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Cons: Despite advertising a restaurant and having read good reviews about the skills of the chef, when I enquired about the menu for dinner was told that the dining room was closed that night (Saturday) for a private event. We were not informed of this when we checked in. As we left to find somewhere to eat, we noticed 4 other guests having dinner! On Sunday, we enquired as to where the terrace and garden was so that we could sit out - we were told that as it was Sunday, these were closed! Now, you either offer these facilities or you don't. The towels in the room were very old and rough and could benefit from being replaced.
Pros: The breakfast was very covenient. We were served at our table. The location was really good. Close to the center of the town.
Cons: The bed rooms were not that big. But for a one night stay, it was good enough.
Pros: There was nobody available at the reception when we arrived around 6pm - our name with room key was left on the desk, along with 3 more similarly named for other guests. We only saw the owners at breakfast time. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was conveniently located to enable an easy walk to various restaurants.
Pros: The hospitality was great, as well by the reception clerk, as in the morning by the owner at the breakfast. He even spoke some Dutch, which in France is extremely rare.
Cons: It was way too hot on the room, even with the heating radiator closed and the window partially opened. Some shower gel would be great.
Pros: Great location near down town and restaurants - all in a few minutes walking distance. Great breakfast in an amazing breakfast room! Gladly lent a phone charger - since the plugs are different than in Germany - that was a serious problem averted!

Pros: A nice hotel to stay for a night. Quiet and peaceful.
Cons: The room was very warm.
Pros: Great and very good
Cons: Toilett and noise from neighboring rooms
Pros: Hotel was okay,
Cons: The town is like a eastern-europe country from the 90's. Expect very little action of side seeing.
Pros: The hotel looks like it was build as a very high end facility in the seventies and was never renovated. As a result the looks and feel are perfectly 'retro', we loved it!
Cons: There are no cooling options in the room (airco) while it can be quite hot in summers. Of course we knew up front so that's no problem, but it could be improved.

Pros: Good value for money. Restaurant connected to the hotel was nice enough, for price/quality. Friendlt owners.
Cons: Small dark rooms. Small beds
Pros: Very kind and helpful receptionist (despite our very late arrival).
Cons: The beds in both rooms we got are really uncomfortable and tiny (140 cm for a double...), rather worn-out interior. There was a persistent noise (like from an adjacent ventilator or motor) in one of the rooms.
Cons: Operators grumpy and not terribly helpful.
Pros: The croissant were very nice.
Pros: Location is great, the town is shut by 20.30 midweek so plan to dine early
Cons: The hotel is very dated throughout and rather run down, nothing worrying but some paint and tlc would make a huge difference to the place.
Pros: Happy with the hotel.
Cons: Mains shower in the room.
