Clean, free breakfast, located near university, safe, in-room Keurig, microwave and mini fridge Thin walls, cheap construction, garish color scheme, not enough parking, near train track
Decoration, price, nice staff, cleanliness Breakfast, no seating accommodation in the room available other than a chair, wobbly toilet
Comfortable, clean and at a good location. Free wifi. Cool looking rooms. Power points were at convenient locations in the room especially near the bed. Bathroom could use some upgrade.
All of the rooms and the common areas have been renovated in the last year. It was well done and everything is new and clean. The rooms have quite a bit of space. There are lots of pillows for the beds. The rooms are quiet. The cleaning staff did a nice job. There are double beds, not queens (even though there is room for queens). The beds were acceptably comfortable, though. A bit on the hard side for my taste, but ok. While we never ran out of hot water, it never really got hot. Warm would be a better description. They need to turn the temperature up on the water heater several degrees. They need more help refilling the breakfast items. On our first morning I tried to make waffles, out of waffle mix. So I had a bowl of cereal, out of skim milk. I went for some orange juice, they were out. Strike three. Not a big deal, but what is up with the elevators? They are freezing, with ice cold air blowing full blast out of the ceiling vents. I heard several people comment on this.
Breakfast area was very clean and stocked well. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. There was a cockroach in our room and front staff was on her cell phone at the desk. Had to ask for assistance to get her off of her cell.
Great location. Older hotel but it is kept clean. Some minor issues of wallpaper peeling from the wall in our room but overall it was a great stay for a game day weekend.
The inn was very pet friendly and had great green areas to walk the dogs. The outside of the hotel looks like an abandoned warehouse. There are back doors that can be opened with a room key, but we couldn't find one that was functional. The indoor pool was appealing but had a "No Swimming" sign on the gate.
Close to downtown! It is the nastiest hotel I have ever been to. I didn't know places like this were allowed to exist. Stay here if you don't mind bugs, filthy rooms, ceilings caving in, water leaks, incompetent staff, non-working room keys, and mold.
Cockroaches in multiple rooms. Cleaning staff would bang on the door at 8:30 in the morning and wouldn't come back after we told them we were still in the room. Overall an extremely discusting hotel. Wasn't great years ago, but wasn't close to this bad.
Nothing at all. This was the worst experience I have ever had. The first room had a whole on the entire wall, no cable, and all the hall ways were in full demolition. We were moved to a "suitable" room by another staff who could not believe we were on the construction hall, but this room had exposed drywall (dust on ground even) and was equally as bad. All amentities were full demolited and the entire place was definately out of safety code. We left and have a note signed by staff saying we did not stay there per conditions. I will be requesting a full refund.
