the friendleness of the staff and locals the food was nice ,it was homely but not gourmet or much variety
The staff was great. They were helpful and friendly. The food was good as well. Best wings I've had since coming over to Ireland from America. Our room, although clean, was old and tired. The room we were in could stand some updating, new carpet, bed spread, etc. The tub had a horrid gash in it. Windows needed cleaning on the inside.
Nice location in the middle of Killysbeg. Free Wi-fi in the room. Awful value. The bed spreads in the room were seriously worn and actually had small holes along the top sides. The room and furniture looked old. Be sure to get a room with a nice view. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a harbor view. Instead, when the curtains were pulled apart all we saw was a clear view through a window showing guests walking back and forth down a corridor in the hotel.
the toilet extract fan was very noisy during the night even though we had switched our room off
Downtown Killybegs location is excellent. Tour buses use this as an overnight stay and the bar/restaurant serves very good bar food...nothing fancy. No complaint, but it seems to be getting a little worn around the edges. We hear a new owner has taken over.....it needs sprucing up. I've stayed at the Tara Hotel across the street and will continue to do so.
The thing that I liked best was the day that I left. No smoking room requested, given a smoking room, one room no heat requested staff to help turn on heat for a disabled person, request ignored completely, had to request help again late on that evening with a heater offered for room, ridiculous in this day and age, cold breakfast given to room on first morning, no facilities offered by staff in hotel, staff moaning about delivering drinks to room.
The staff were friendly, food good, bar atmosphere excellent and location excellent.
Leisure suite including pool, sauna etc. Good breakfast. Excellent location
there was a very relaxed feeling, staff were very helpful to our needs. rooms were spacey and clean, over all would go back to bayview at a future date. no
The food and drink was very nice. The staff were also helpful. The man who served us our food in the bar was a delight.
Spacious room with balcony and great views. Breakfast was excellent as was hotel restaurant. Nothing
the thing i liked most was the staff they were excellent and very friendly and the hotel and food was fantastic
It was good and clean and where I wanted to stay in the harbour
location and proximity to Sliebh Laoig cliffs. Food and service could be recommended to anyone visiting the locality There was a noise from some type of cooling machienry during the full night which was probably something to do with very nearby fish factory
Staff was very kind, very good breakfast.
execellent value for money
View over the harbor . Had to complain twice to keep the heating on.
Excellent staff, very friendly. Nice comfortable room, clean, good view of harbour. Value for money. Killybegs in november is not a tourist hotspot
The views were spectacular, staff friendly, hotel spotless and the dining mouthwatering None
Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location, overlooking the harbour was lovely. It may have been noisy during the day, but at night it was quiet and I had undisturbed sleep. Good breakfast. There is no free internet connecton as advertised: they charge 10 euros a night which is, frankly, antedeluvian. In any case, I couldn't get a connecton in my room, so took my computer to the hotel down the road where there is free wifi throughout.
friendly family run b+b
Bunbeg house is located in a beautiful location. Very remote and quite. The room sizes are good. Bunbeg House is a guest house only and should not be advertised as a hotel. As a guest house it was over priced.
Nice breakfast, friendly staff, good location to explore Donegal The bed cover was a bit dirty.
My wife and I were very pleased about the location as it was very pretty. The rooms were quite spacious. Lounge and bar area was very pleasent. It felt a bit like a hostel than a hotel/B&B, and seemed quite dated - We had some issues with the room (Room 11), maybe could use some rennovation.
The friendly welcome by Jean, being shown around, a room with a view of the river/harbour,and a full Irish breakfast on the following day. No.
We were made to feel instantly at home when we arrived, and offered a hot drink. The location is right at the tip of the small harbour and is in a very special location,it is ideally situated for a touring base. Both food and bar facilities were excellent, bedrooms were large and there were lounge facilities. We enjoyed an excellent full Irish breakfast each day in the very spacious dining area.We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to anyone and indeed we look forward to a return visit at an early opportunity.
Lovely location for a quiet break close to some lovely beaches god how cooked breakfast
peace and tranquility.
Very helpful staff/owners. Stunning location.
The staff were friendly and the place was set in a nice part of Bunbeg with great views
It was certainly close to town ! Maybe a little too close. It was not a 'value add.' In other words, not what I expected for the cost, especially in comparison to other similarly priced B and B's. This is not a 'home' B and B, but more like a hotel. It was not as clean as it should be.
Great hosts; comfortable bed in spacious room; wonderful breakfast. Also appreciated local knowledge & map of regional highlights. Definitely recommend. No
Well situated for walking and sightseeing. Beautiful location with good views. The hotel was comfortable, atmospheric and relaxing, the staff friendly and service excellent. Ideal for a weekend break
Good accomodation, good food, good hospitality no
Wine prices exhorbident. Could have been a lot lower and still generated a good mark up.
Quiet location, large comfortable room, friendly staff, good dinner
loved the old original feel of this country manor type house. full of family memorabilia and lots of character. lovely designed garden, if weather good! food was excellent and rooms in annexe conversion were large, comfy and had private balcony that you could sit out in overlooking garden. would love to stay in original house next time but only 4 or 5 bedrooms there.
I thought for the price charged of 180 euro per night the hotel was very bad value. The room was not aired and I needed to dust if before I could unpack. Overall not good value for money
Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Very friendly owners made our stay extra special. Gardens are beautiful and relaxing.
the room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Staff & food were excellent. One of the best meals I have experienced. /
House was a beautiful and very old fashioned with high ceilings. Staff were very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Very good staff. James was a wealth of information. Very well-kept historic hotel. No. The room was surprisingly quiet and had a great view of the bay.
Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff in great surroundings. Room was everything we expected, being a good size. There was great entertainment in the hotel bar and the breakfast served in the morning was excellent, a proper cooked Irish breakfast. I have nothing negative to say about the hotel, the staff or the service provided.
