10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the 'top 10' comfy beds ... I have ever slept in !! Like sleeping in a cloud ! Just off the main road and super quiet countryside. I was working ... but I'd go there 'as a destination' ... I would love to stay and linger .. read the history in the breakfast room ! Speaking of breakfast ... it was soooo good - kept me going till dinner ! Very, very, very occasionally, they see Northern Lights .... I kept my curtains open in hopeful anticipation / just in case !!! I was there in off season ... do take on board that there are no nearby restaurants open on a Monday night during winter ! However, I can highly recommend the chicken fillet burger at Apache just down the road :-) or bring a 'room picnic' ??
Cons: The internet speed .... this isn't a criticism of the hotel ..... welcome to west of Ireland ! Apparently there is a 5 year plan ... they're just not sure if it has started yet !!!!! Even hot spotting to my phone was woefully slow ! If you want / need fast internet .... stay in Dublin !!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A warm welcome, very friendly staff. Amazing views from room. Comfy bed, slept like a log. Good traditional full Irish breakfast. Excellent location. Loved all the old pictures and stories on the wall, showing the history of the area. Read some negative reviews. Maybe these people, should in future not look for a traditional Irish B and B with charisma and find one of the lifeless plastic modern hotels.
Cons: Liked it all. Would of liked more powerful shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great host
