Pros: Overall good. Sauna needs proper regular cleaning as there was strong smell of damp
Pros: The hotel was perfect, the hotel overall was very nicely laid out, from the bar with the open fire, to the luxurious swimming pool and steam-room to the spacious and cosy room. It was just as described, the views were stunning, the staff were lovely and very welcoming, highly recommended!
Cons: My only complaint is that we didnt stay for longer! No complaints what-so-ever
Pros: Good base for central and west cumbria. Comfortable, clean and overall most convenient.
Cons: Users of swimming pool, draped in towels walking through accommodation areas.
Pros: lovely part of the lake district with beautiful views and very friendly staff, great for family breaks
Pros: swimming pool was a nice size for a small hotel. Hot tub also nice addition. Good size lounge bar with fireplace. Very cosy and friendly. Big outisde decked area with view. Very handy parking outside bedroom.
Cons: cleanliness wasn't terrible but bit laid back. e.g. High chair was cleaned but arrived dirty, microwave full of bits of food from previous guest, no pillow cases. might have been short staffed during our stay maybe.
Pros: The concept of a quality apartment is a good one. Staff were pleasant and worked hard to try to make amends and rectify the faults.
Cons: The quality of the establishment was not to the standard described on the website. Poor maintenance of the suite - E.G. radiator and telephone not working, some advertised furniture missing, two light bulbs not functioning, kitchen equipment missing or dirty.
Pros: Beautiful lodge, beautiful food, beautiful part of the world! Very up- market whilst warm and welcoming. Excellent experience!
Pros: Location and views were absolutely gorgeous. restaurant on site very convenient.
Cons: advertised as having a spa, and booked specifically for this purpose. however no spa or swimming pool. seemed to be under construction.
Pros: An independent and easy access to the Lakes and friendly hotel staff
Cons: Not a very well stocked bar.
Pros: The friendlyness of the staff. The warm atmosphere, the scenery. The evening meal was perfect. Compliments to the chef...
Cons: It was quiet pricey. We were in the attic room without a view just a small window facing the back of the kitchen. for £120 we expected to have at least a view.. We were there for our Silver anniversary although we did not mention this to the staff.
