The Front of House Staff were really friendly and helpful
Near beach. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Bathroom small
Location very close to beach shops and resturants
The owner is friendly and helpful, very conveniently located for beach and town centre, the Hotel has a car park which in a must this town! The decor is bright and modern adding to the friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended-I stayed an extra night.
Ideally situated in Les Sables for beach and countryside. In the middle of the town for shopping. Double bed was very uncomfortable.
location was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. did not have chance to try out the breakfast in beautiful dining room.Would recommend. Access to private car park was down an extremely narrow road and space was very tight.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, advising on nearby restaurants, weather forecasts etc.
Staff were very helpful. Location is very good for town and beech.
This hotel is ideally situated in the town centre with private car parking. It is also only a very short walk to the beach. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Receptionist very capable and friendly. Beautiful dining area Nothing at al
view on the port, right on the street with all the restaurants lack of electricity socket near the small desk, had to sit on the bed with laptop on my lap in order to stay hooked to electricity. at night- it gets noisy from the restaurants below, loud music till after 1 am
frendly staff & location n/a
Port view No check-in until 6pm. Close to very noisy bar at night.
myself and my partner enjoyed a two nite stay in the Admiral on the last 2 days of our holidays. The staff were fantastic, very friendful and willing to help at any time. Very clean, private parking and great value for money. It is next to the port which is a lovely area and is ony a 10 minute walk to the centre ville. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
some concern about mix of hotel with social housing appartments. La
The folks who ran it were very nice, helpful and accomodating I did not like the facts: 1. Our room did not have a proper shower. 2. The plug in the bathroom wash hand basin did not keep the water in. 3. There were no coffee making facilities in the room. 4. There was no bar in the hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and good breakfast
Clean and comfortable.Convenient for the marina area. Good Breakfast. Looks a bit grim when you arrive. No restaurant but nice bistros very close.
Friendly and efficient staff, large clean rooms.
Only stayed for one night but found extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Balcony . Ideal for short break. If staying for week or more then having to take boat across to main beach and restaurants could be frustrating and expensive.
Nothing special. Usual 2 stars hotel. Far enough from the beach and city center. Lunch for extra pay. No laundry at the hotel, electric iron on request. Poor view from the room.
The services and staff were excellent. The hotel was ideally situated in that it was convenient for easy access by foot to the marina and into Sable d'Lonne and it was nice and quiet, away from all the noise of the activity in the marine. Our room No. 102 was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and would love to stay again should we be in the area.
Convenient for the old quarter of La Chaume, with cheap & frequent water taxi transfers available to main town & beaches. Choice of restaurants within walking distance at Port Olona & La Chaume. Taxi route from station via unappealing area & outside appearance of hotel prompted negative thoughts. However, all well once inside. Pedestrian route much better.
The location was fabulous overlooking the port and nestling amongst many wonderful moderately priced seafood restaurants. Beach and shops very close and beach stunning with great waves.
Location on the harbour is wonderful. Plenty of restaurants in immediate vicinity, close to the beach as well. Nearest supermarket is 10min walk away in the town centre. Parking near the hotel to load/unload luggage is scarce, especially in the evening.
Clean, efficient, friendly Drab decor
nothing, could not wait to find alternative accommodation not suitable for guests using wheelchair dispite the fact that they say the hotel is accessible
Thought the location appeared to be a good location for the work I was doing. But it was even better on arrival to find a good selection of places to eat nearby in the evening which made for a very enjoyable stay. Looking a little dated in decor.
The view of the port The Manager did not seem very helpfull at all. Had better service at the previous year at another hotel in Le Sables. Only booked it as it was the only hotel with a family room left. I am not surprised.
peace and quite
Happy staff, pool area, quiet but central location and map. None to speak of.
Attractiveness of our room, the gardens and the indoor lounge. Breakfasts were good value compared to other hotels used.
the room was lovely very clean owners were very friendly and helpful the town and people were very appproachable lots going on during the day places to eat etc but pm very guiet lovely place to rest ,relax.
Very good standard accomodation, and excellent hosts Bed a little hard
Pleasant staff, good sea view from private balcony, nice little pool, clean room, enjoyable meal in the restaurant. Ideal spot for breaking a long car journey. No
Location excellent. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Staff friendly and helpful.
Very close to beach. Quiet. Excellent restaurant Street parking only.
Clean room, very helpful reception staff. Despite claiming it was open the Restaurant was closed for 2 of our 4 night stay. However, the night we used the restaurant the staff were poor, the choice was extremely limited, the wine was poor and expensive and the food was so bad, my wife had to send it back for the staff to cut her meat for her. We didn't use it again. No lounge facilites.
Very friendy staff, allways willing to help, good comfort/price, clean and comfortable rooms. Quiet Hotel.
Good service and food in the restaurant. Staff invariably pleasant and helpful. This hotel is becoming a regular stop-off of ours.
Good position, nice clean modern hotel, spacious room, free parking around area Was unable to book room with sea view without taking half board
good clean hotel, nice staff would benefit from updating. reflective of the price reminded me of an old fashioned seaside hoteel pillows - hard and uncomfortable
Location. Very Quiet. Big rooms tastefully furnished. Safe parking. Trusting Staff. Warning: a car is needed as you are in the middle of no where.
Fantastic building, need some investment to get back to its origin, Rooms very basic and service non existing, No lift, stiff stairs, Food at the restaurant fantastic, deserves to be a Michelin Restaurant but again waiters and staff are not at that level.
Beautiful grounds, quiet, good location for our requirements. Elegant dining room and bedroom No help offered with cases even though to get to our bedroom we had four flights of stairs. (the chatuea had no lift) No tea or coffee making facilities in room. The information via email was misleading regarding the number of evenings the chateau restaurant was open.
nice surroundings bad wifi connection
Beautiful building and grounds, excellent restaurant. Too expensive
It was more than we expected!
The food was formidable! The bed caused me severe backache
Tranquil venue, interesting buildings and a chance to relax. Excellent Gourmet dinners Could have supplied a more varied breakfast, with cereals. Also a hotel wanting to attract international visitors should have at least one TV channel in English. This is typical of France, whilst other countries have satellite TV with channels in English, Spanish, Italian, German, etc.; does not cost much but has high added value.
Charming old chateau in 17 ha of parkland including swimming pool and tennis courts. Well appointed dining room provides a good range of menus.
The owner was there to welcome us and give us a full history of the Chateau which was very nice. The grounds were excellent and was a 'Bill Oddie' paradise. Cuisine was to a very high standard. Rooms were a little small for the price charged.
The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel accepts dogs which is one reason it suited my needs and its a pleasant walk from town. Only that the decor bedspreads and curtains are getting just a little dated now and would benefit from a change but very clean and smelt nice.
Clean, tidy hotel well located with pleasant, helpful staff
sorry, my french!! non!
Reasonable price and included breakfast. Difficult to find by signposts from centre of town. Very noisy from about 5am especially on a hot night with all the windows open.
Easy to locate, friendly reception. Could not have a glass of wine or a beer without availing of restaurant.
Staff were very helpfull and pleasent.Sheets and towels were clean Did not like anything very much decor was dark and depressing Very much in need of updating.
fantastic location. stunning building with excellent facilities. very professional staff. great pool and grounds.
Nice and quiet, good food.
Its situation, and the profesional manner of staff. Restaurent was also excellent. Nothing worth commenting on.
Loved the modern decor in the old building. Food was probably the best we tasted our whole holiday and in general that standard was high. Relaxing setting and pool. Level of staff attention very disapointing for the cost - we were kept waiting every time in reception, in restaurant etc. Though they were good when they did turn up!
Great surroundings Poor room facilities i.e no tea or coffee available,
Lovely setting and chataeu picturesque. Pool and surrounding area especially nice. Orchard rooms in annexe suited us as a family well. Good breads/pastries and coffee for breakfast. Reception area indistinct and check in and out process a bit vague
It was one of the most beautiful hotels that we have ever stayed at. The dinner was excellent as were the surroundings. Nothing.
the design, the surrounding scenery, the cuisine
Fabulous location, gourmet food complete guest comfort a very enjoyable stay.
Secure parking The wc was so small that it was difficult to close the door whilst using it. The artexed wall above the bath/shower had mould on it.
stay out of hotel everthing crap
Suited my purposes Nothing
Very pleasant staff, good clean room, and very nice breakfast. Bed mattress was just a little too hard.
The bed No tea or coffe -making facilities in the room
The staff were very helpful and accommodating The room had quite an odour of stale urine and dried urine was on the toilet floor. Also the music played during breakfast was far too loud and inappropriate, although the staff, when asked if it could be turned off, did reduce the volume.
rooms poor, very small and basic.
Good swimming pool and childrens play area. Rooms a bit run down and in need of modernising.
The swimming pool was great. The kids loved it.
Hassle-free, relatively quite area. Cleaning ladies were friendly and understanding...family room for four including two teenage boy's means late rising and slow getting out of their way to clean. The room was quite cramped so probably more suitable for families with young children. Perhaps this is an area Hotels could provide more detail about.
excellent locatin close to harbour area. friendly staff and when we had a problem with the sheets being dirty on our bed, the staff arranged clean bed linen straight away no complaints
Quiet, clean Bland, no flair
It was located in the town within walking distance of the waterfront, shops and restaurants The hotel was simply awful. Room was grubby and over the road so was very noisy. we booked for two nights but left after one.
the hotel was centrally positioned and the staff were superb perfectly satisfied on all counts.
Not much. Room smelt, was very cold, bathroom was revolting with very poor lighting and not that clean either. Towels were threadbare.
Very friendly and relaxed welcome. It felt like an individually run hotel, not a chain - full of French character. Excellent restaurant - dinner and brakfast.
The proprietress was a good professionel and pleasant hostess The towels were too hard
Its a very relaxing hotel. It feels like a home from home.
Friendliness of the owner and the general ambience
Room, location, breakfast, gated secure parking locked at night especially cleanliness all excellent. More 3 star than two. We would certainly stay here again. Entrance to some rooms direct from road around corner of main hotel albeit controlled with security number. Around 10 Mtr walk. Bathroom rather small but fully kitted out with all requirements and shower size acceptable.
Room too small for two. Towels very hard.
We had a balcony but unfortunately there was nothing to sit on. Breakfast was good. The decor of the actual bedrooms was quite dated. The bedroom was quite small. The light in the bathroom was on a timer which was a nuisance if you were having a shower washing your hair as the light went out.
The warm welcome and excellent service. The Hotel is situated near the beach making visits for watersports easy. No
It was quiet and agreable. The breakfast is good and copious. It was a shame that one could not get an evening meal or small snack in the hotel especially after a long drive. The lift is very small, so am I thank goodness.
Beautiful reception, ease of parking, so quiet, excellent cleanliness. The only thing I did not like was when booking in at reception the lady checked how much we had paid for the room before assigning us the room. She did this outloud so it was a bit off putting. Not a complaint, did not affect our enjoyment.
Excellent location. Shops within walking distance. Well equipped room with good decor. No problems
Very welcme at reception, helpful expalining breakfast times. Escorted to room and informed how to change heating, and turn on television. Got the bath I requested which was excellent. No bad points
