Very friendly and attentive service, Nice, fresh rooms with interesting design details
Courtesy & helpful staff/ proprietors. Easy proximity to railway station for travel to Cinque Terra. Quiet, clean & comfortable room. Good breakfast. Value for money. The safe was not bolted down (able to be picked up & carried a way).
Spent three nights in August, can't wait to go back. Everything was extremely clean and well managed. The staff was very helpful with a variety of reservations. The rooms were had every possible amenity including wi-fi and movies. Overall it was an unforgeable experience and I recommend it to anybody going to Cinque Terre.
The rooms were fine, the staff very helpful when we needed information. There are two train stations in Sestri Levante and we got off at the wrong one and had to take a cab. It's up a very steep hill and away from places to eat, etc. If you have a car, no problem. From the reviews, I was expecting a wonderful dinner, however, the chef was away on an emergency so no dinners and it was a downhill long walk to eat. Cinque Terra was our destination and we would have liked to have been closer.
The helpfullness of the owners about places to visit in the area. They reccommended some excellent places and nothing was to much trouble for them. The made us feel really welcome and the hotel was good value for the money paid. No
Barbara and Marcello treated us like one of the family. They went above and beyond for us. We would go back to visit in a heart beat.
The location was excellent with easy access to the Cinque Terra as well as Portofino and other resort areas.
the location of the hotel is good for a visit to cinque terre. the hotel is located in front of the a main street and close to the train station riva trigoso. So a lot of noise when the window was open, no air condition just a fan.
VERY friendly staff. Very clean and nice hotel. close to good food and nice beaches.
Tourist information provided, mountain bike renting. Restaurant not open at midday.
The hotel is beautifully restored, still kept ethically to the original style of building, however, with a modern touch. Really nice rooms with beautiful bathrooms! We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lovely Mediterranean. We chose to dine at the hotel 3 nights of our stay. We where here served a three-course dinner consisting of classic Italian food which was well-prepared by the chef. Everyday we experienced both the hotel and the rooms as being clean and well-kept. A small welcoming hotel which deserves a “+” in association with its 3 stars.
The decoration, the ambiance, the cleanliness
A very comfortable hotel, where the staff were exteremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious well appointed and very comfortable. Being only a street away from the railway line, the train noise through the noight was really bad!
Helpful staff. Good value breakfast. Rooms good size. Free bikes for visiting the town. Free wifi. Parking was cheap but has doubled in price recently. Position not as envisaged - thought was on the beach. Was quite expensive (but thius was high season).
Helpful staff and convenient restaurant across road
Very pleasant staff and good food
Staff was very pleasant and helpful, cheerfully helping us with any problems or questions. The secure parking area was easy to use and inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area. (5 Euros per day). Hotel was located half way between Portofino and Cinque Terre making both an easy day trip. Cinque Terre by train and Portofino buy car (note: Driving to Portofino by car should be considered an extreme sport and not for the faint of heart)
Nothing Staff were not that friendly and seemed to be looking for ways to charge extras if they could get away with it. Inefficient in bill checkout proceedure.
superb kitchen/chef at excellent price for value. room was huge, redone and had magnificent balcony/view. staff helped with complicated directions and internet. extraordinary location with a private park overlooking ligurian sea. liked it all.
Views from top of the hotel plus the setting
Fantastic Location. Good breakfast
Nice castle hotel in a charming seaside town with easy access to Cinqueterre and Portofino area.Perfect views nice people delicious buffet breakfast.Everything luxurious and genuine. We loved it and would go back again !
the hotel itself, cleanliness of the room, additional facilities like the private beach, courtesy and efficiency of the personnel, the beautiful location, the park around the hotel, the view from the hotel
Beautiful hotel with exceptionally pretty grounds. Nice staff. Wonderful location No complaints
The building was very beautiful While staff were friendly we had to ask them for information e.g. where breakfast was served and at what time. some basic written info in the room would have been helpful
It was absolutely beautiful, very clean, wonderful breakfast, great restaurant and bar, and everyone was very accomodating. We hope to go back. No, it was perfect!
The views. The lack of common areas to relax. When the weather was bad there was no where to go except your room.
everything no problems
Friendly staff at reception, great location the breakfast staff were not very helpful, coffee was brought when we had almost finished eating.
It's convenient for tourist as there's car park. Hotel staff is very warm. None
It's not like me to leave a bad review. This hotel is in a good location for Chiavari but question why you want to be in Chiavari anyway. Nice to visit and shop for a day but stay somewhere else. The room here are very unispiring. Rooms dull and small. Town dead at night. Not a great place.
LARGE BALCONY COMFORTABLE ROOM. FREE INTERNET. COFFEE COLD FIRST THREE BREAKFASTS THEN WHOLE BREAKFAST AREA IMPROVED
Great location in a pretty and vibrant town Dining room is dated and in need refurbishment.
The suite we stayed in was ideal for a family. L'Albergo e favoloso
Friendly and helpful staff, the hotell was clean and nice, the location of the hotel was great There was no air conditioning. I would have preferred freshly baked bakery products on the breakfast.
Staff were very helpful with toursim tips and we arrived quite early and they let us go into our room before check in time.Breakfast was great
The location was great. The amenities were good. Great to have air-conditioning. We got many bites from bed bugs.
Very helpful staff, nice music in breakfast time, a nice sunny terrace, nice neighbors.
Good location, just out of busy section of town but close enough to walk, beautiful rooms with balcony overlooking the sea, great selection for breakfast, outdoor jacuzzi was fantastic for relaxing in the evening Free wifi internet and free parking was a bonus. No shower screen and shower head was hand-held which meant water all through the bathroom when showering....
The staff was very nice, the breakfest was very rich and tasty. the hotel has a very pretty design, it looks a bit like a palace. it's located not far from the center of beautiful Rappalo. the Jacuzzi didn't work, the bed was falling apart, the shits weren't clean. you could hear alot of noises from the main road. the flow water in the shower was very poor.
Pleasant atmosphere of a family run hotel with tradition and experience over the years - very appreciated. Beautiful surroundings, great location.
Friendly and efficient staff Air conditioning in room was marginal.
Hotel in good location. Not on the see, but not far. Really quite place. Staff is friendly. breakfast is ok Room is not cozy
We liked the quiet surrounding, location, the service.
friendly, unobtrusive staff no swimming pool!
Suites had no Wi-Fi in spite of claim otherwise. Poor value for money overall.
Charm, privacy, interior and location, almost everything
Great location. Specious rooms with nice balcony. Nice outdoor terrasse - good breakfast.
People at the reception were incredibly nice and friendly. Our room was really clean and comfortable. The hotel also benefits of an amazing location, in a quiet residential area, just in between the sea front and the main shopping street. Buffet breakfast was great!
the hotel is very close to the beach and Cinque Terra by train .
Close to the beach, close to shops, overall nice building, staff very kind absolutely. Noise of not isolated water pipes in the room. Could not sleep when people in adiacent rooms used bathroom facilities.
The hotel was luxurious, the staff excellent and the food was top class. The food at the Nettuno ,owned by the same family, was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
great location right next to the beach, place was filled with antiques and had lots of character. Despite very central location it was a haven of tranquility. Bathroom was dated. Overall a little expensive for the standard delivered.
Somewhat pricey but an outstanding location, and great and helpfull staff
Nice setting, beautiful furniture, quiet, good size rooms, close to nice restaurents, close to the beach Quality of breakfast inferior compared to hotel status and price
Rooms were large and comfortable, very clean. Right across the road from beach and in the heart of shopping and sites. 10min walk to railway. Front rooms that fronted the street were noisy, very noisy till very late at night. Changed to room at back of hotel and all was better.
Hotel staff very friendly and happy to give out useful information of the area. Clean rooms. no
The size and appearance of the room and the friendliness of the staff The busyness of the road outside
Noise, proximity of the railway
the hotel is close to the chiavari train station (5min on foot) and is close to the unpaid free beach (7 min). Hotel restaurant is really amazing! you should definetly have dinner there atleast once! seafood ofcourse! staff are very welcoming and tried their best to advice us on what to do. they know more though of paid beaches, so you should reseach yourself on where the closest unpaid beach is (right next to the port just a pass away from the hotel). staff also adviced us on friday market around the corner! and you can get ferry tickets right at the reception. hotel has free wifi, but unfortunately we did not have a notebook, and the hotel does not offer an internet corner. but the staff allowed us to check our emails on their computer which was very nice of them!
Breakfast room renovation during our stay, thus ultra modest facilities in cafe nearby
location and price in comparison to others advertised on the web no complaints,
The rooms were clean, modern and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were larger than most European Hotel rooms. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was perfect for starting the morning out. The noise from the train station.
Good Money&comfort balance
Very friendly staff Loud airco kept us up all night! Failing warm watersupply was a big downer!
The front desk staff was the best that we encountered during a month long visit to Italy. They were knowledgeable ,and pleasant and really set the tone of hospitality. The hotel is small but the rooms were not cramped and though the train station is convenienttly nearby the rooms were soundproof. The beach and the old city were near and we liked the location very much. The breakfast was good and we would choose Ferrari again. We asked for the most accessible rooms because we were worried about the lack of an elevator. The stairs proved to be easy for us seniors--they are not steep and there is a landing midway so they posed no problem.
Everything. Parking, location, pool on the roof top, the city Nothing critical
Great location right across from the ocean. Very nice facility.
The rooftop pool, close proximity to beach, kind staff, convenient parking, great breakfast.
Location in town. For a Superior Double Room, it was extremely small. Also, I found broken glass on the floor of the room & it sounded like a tap was running continually from the room above, which was a nuisance through the night as I'm a light sleeper.
The Grande Albergo is clean and comfortable and merits its 4 star rating. The staff are very helpful and the roof top pool area is a lovely facility. Some complain about the opening hours but I think they have guest safety in mind - being on the roof you do burn more quickly. Its location is perfect and its in Sestri one of the most enchanting places on the coast.
Location at beach and middle of center and close to train station. Hotel accomodations, Internet, parking. Price relative high.
Clean, comfortable, convenient, good facilities.
Roof top pool. Position of hotel. No free towels for pool use. Did not like charge for using Hotel Beach
It was available Location, Cost, Restaurant Food.
The village of Cavi isn't so intersting, but it's very close to Sestri Levante
Staff were friendly and helpful unfortunately as there was a low occupancy there was a problem getting hot water. It would have been nice to have fresh fruit for breakfast.
The Hotel was right across the road from the beach very handy, is this place a beautiful seaside town? No its a good stop over if your travelling to France as I did, the facilities were good and the staff were very helpful. You must book a car park and the parking itself is a nightmare.
It was not too far from the beach. Cost of the hotel was reasonable. Nice staff. No everything was pretty straight ahead.
Good location and good communication No WiFi, they were out of codes that were needed. Very narrow parkinggarage. Some staff did not speak english.
Playa and playa and good start for the Cinq Terre park as well as the Porto Fino Coast
Near to the beach. No parking places.
View Driveway to the hotel was very steep and curvy. Suggest leaving car at bottom of hill and taking lift to the hotel.
Excellent views and a superb resturaunt with views across the bay. good pool. Rooms a bit noisy with flushing water from other rooms.
The views from the hotel are stunning. The food was excellent, though quite expensive, though not much more than restaurants in town. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We felt hotel was above our expectations.
Very friendly staff.
The location is execellent. view is breathtaking, situated near the centre of Sestri Levante. The staff is very kind and helpfull. The rooms are very small and noisy.
The hotel and views are just beautiful. The staff was very helpful and spoke very good English. As in most hotels in europe, using our eledtrical devices are never easy. I think either additional adapters should be provided or more outlets??
Hotel is located in a beautiful lush setting with views of the Mediterranean from certain areas (restaurant, bar and pool area, some restaurants) and within easy walking distance of beaches and the shops. Other rooms have good views of the surrounding hillsides. not a big issue but people should be aware rooms are on the small side
I have nothing but raves about this hotel, its accommodating staff, the beauty of its location and the fabulous food and rooms - not one has a bad view. I would say there is nothing I didn't like about the hotel. People who go there should know , because it is high on a hill you have to take an elevator down to the beach - that doesn't mean the beach is across the street from the elevator. It involves a walk through town about 6 blocks and crossing a major street.
Service and location Room is very small and overpriced, at least, for the Easter period. Internet (5 Euro for 40 min) is practically inaccessible.
The view from the restaurant was superb, the pool staff (especially attentive, helpful and eager to communicate) and pool facility was excellent. Perhaps I would specify a room with view on next visit.
