Pros: I loved the location on top of the mountain, crisp air, wonderful views, little stream gurgling past. Great hiking location, in the winter probably great for skiing. We loved the food in the evening too. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Offering a garden with BBQ facilities and a terrace, Kaiserau has rooms with views of the mountains. Located in Collalbo, it comes with free WiFi and free parking. Each room here will provide you with a satellite TV. The private bathroom comes with a shower. A bar, a restaurant and a pizzeria are available on site. Kaiserau is 25 km from the Seiser Alm cable car. Bolzano / Bozen can be reached in 25 minutes by car. The Ritten Guest Card is included in the rates. It includes free access to local public transport and museums, and discounts and benefits in the area.
Pros: The Gasthof is 2 minute walk from Collalbo train station, the Zimmer (with balcony) and bathrooms are spacious and clean. There is a pizza place and bar below. The breakfast is ample, varied and typical for the area, fresh local bread and buns, excellent cold cuts, eggs any way u want them, yoghurt, fresh fruit etc. An amiable Macedonian couple are looking after the cooking and service, both are keen to please their guests.
Cons: The beds, or more specific the mattresses, are substandard, bent in the middle, non-supportive, a real pain to sleep on. We requested a change of room but unfortunately had to stay on due to a fully booked place. The bar and pizza joint below stay open late, a bother for light sleepers.
Pros: The staff is extremly polite, I would highly recommend it.

Pros: The host is very nice and flexibile. When we went hiking she made the breakfast early just for us so we could go earlier. Great breakfast!
Pros: The owner was very helpful and kind.
Cons: Some fresh fruit at breakfast and juice
Pros: It had a beautiful location, with a wonderful view towards the Dolomites from my room.
Cons: Absolutly wonderfull
Cons: Everything was really good. And the tour we had down to the caretakers residence and church was the cream of the top.
Pros: We had just come through the Dolomites road so it was an amazing surprise to be able to have the view over that entire range just outside our door. The owners are super friendly, their dog is awesome, and the breakfast is yummy. The only downside? We had to leave this paradise the next day to go back to work! If you stay there, definitely also check out the amazing neighbouring restaurant at the top of the hill.
Pros: Friendly and very helpful host. Clean room. Good location with lovely restaurant a 10 minute walk. Beautiful walk from house on the Freud trail. Rittencard Card provided by host was great with free public transport, cablecars and museums (including the great museum in Bolzano with Otzi the iceman). Easy parking. This was a great experience staying on a farm in a quiet rural area.
Pros: Lovely to be walking distance to town but on a farm with meadows and animals.
Cons: GPS had trouble finding location.probably needed driving directions from Bahnhofstrasse. This would have saved us much time. Lesson- don’t rely on GPS!
