The family run hotel is very welcoming and it is situated just opposite the spectacular Marmolada mountain. It is situated in a rather desolate spot with little to do in the evening. Also, the hotel has no lift.
breakfast, big nice room, views noise from other rooms
Roberta herself! She was warm, courteous & helpful. No
Friendly, basic accommodation. Great views of the mountains.
The Hotel was in such a beautful setting, and it was near the cable car station. Roberta and her family made my friend and I welcome and feel as though we were part of her family. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble for Roberta. The breakfast was plentiful and it was the best breakfast we encountered on our travel through Italy. Would love to return there for the skiing season.
Noise from the corridor. In Italy is very difficult to have such a bad coffee. After breakfast we went to a bar the other side of the street for an honest cup of coffee.
I liked the location and the size of the rooms. I didn't like the breakfast that was included in my reservation: very poor. Furniture of the rooms and bathrooms need renovation.
I thought the hotel was fine, the staff were freindly and the food reasonable. The meal deal was good. The hotel itself is looking a little bit jaded but the location is suberb. It was just as we expected.
Excellent, from breakfast to every other aspect. Fair price.
Personnel staff was excellent, food good and too much :-) Swimming pool is quite old and to wear swimming hat is not comfortable. Missing free wi-fi access to Internet.
the staff was very polite, the food (dinner) was good and we liked the breakfast. We stayed there only for one night, so we can˙t say anythin else.
The willingness of the staff to go out of their way to be of service and their smiling faces. A fan (ventilator) in the room ( a very small double occupancy room) would have been more than welcome as the weather was a bit hot for a mountain resort (and a lakeside location). Also, the breakfast buffet could feature a wider choice of items, especially in the cold meats area and eggs should be available, either scrambled or boiled.
nice wellcome, worm place
the services, the surroundings.
Very comfortable and nice place to stay pool water was not warm enough
Parking. There was limited parking which proved difficult when sharing an apartment with another couple who also had a car.
Everything was perfect : the hotel staff - very friendly , the hotel - great , location - in the heart of Dolomites at the start of Pordoi Pass and The Surroundings - well , the surrounings takes yours breath away for a long time.
The location of the hotel was great. Beautiful view in the mountains from our room. You can discover dolomites easily, all the villages are very near in Arabba The room has everything you need if you want to cook your own meal. The stuff was very helpful. The parking was free under the hotel. Nothing, everything was perfect! Keep up the good work!
There was a nice atmosphere and they were wery helpfull. They even spoke english all of them.
Excellent location. Very good facilities.
friendly atmosphere, very helpful stuff
nice big comfortable apartment, plenty of storage space, secure garage, well thought out layout leisure centre only open 4 till 8pm
wonderful staff. Clean modern apartments with nice health suite.Village very quiet if that's what you're looking for. Limited restaurant options. Always go to proper restaurants rather than the bar options as the difference not always obvious.
The Hotel is in a very good place to explore the Dolomites. Very safe property and friendly without being intrusive. The Hotel itself is quite a long way from the town we understood it to be in.
the rooms are large and well furnished. we had great view of the mountains from the windows and balcony. The Ristorante-Pizzeria near by gives the hotel guests 10% discount
very nice hotel they have a nice Puzzaria near thr hotel
The hotel has been recently nenewed, has large room and a modern and well designed wellness section (without pool). Internet connection is free, staff has been friendly and helpful. The location is poor, in a rather dark and closed section of the valley; the lake is about 1 km away and is not visible from the hotel. The window of our room was located above a camping, not the best view for a mountain hotel.
The room was so clean and the lines smelled so fresh and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly Would have been nice to have a restaurant within the hotel, but, they did have a bar and there was a restaurant right across the street, so it wasn't too inconveniencing.
Beautiful, well-kept hotel. Very helpful staff. Great restaraunt recommendations.
Very friendly staff - family run hotel. Very nice wellness facility. Although only breakfast available, only few steps from a pizzeria, where you can have a simple buit a good meal (not only pizza) for a special (discount) price. The location is a little bit outside of the centre. But with a car no problem. Probably also bus available (did not check).
The room was spacious and the down quilts were luxurious. A good pizza/pasta restaurant next to the hotel. A bit far from cross-country skiing centres, but near enough from several of them.
The area around the hotel Not enough opportunity for eatting
the stuff was great: helpful and very nice. the room was very clean and decor of the hotel is nice little bit pricey
lovely peaceful location good bedrooms we'd booked half-board, were the only ones eating on a Saturday evening in late June - could it be that others knew that the waiter had trined at Faulty Towers?
We recommend this hotel. We had a nice, big room with a balcony and a good view. Breakfast was good. Dinner was included which was four courses: salad, soup, entree and dessert. We stayed two nights; the salad, soup and dessert were good both nights, the entree was good one night, not too good the other. But overall a good deal, and we were very happy to get the meal after a full day in the Dolomites. The hotel is modestly hard to find so have your maps and directions ready. We found that 30 km in the Dolomites easily took an hour to drive, so if you know which area you prefer, try to stay in a hotel that is convenient to your desired activities. If Rocca Pietore suites your plans, this is a good hotel.
I booked this hotel as part of a 13 stop, European road trip. This is one of the more difficult hotels to review, as we arrived late after a long day's driving and my experiences maybe tainted a bit. The hotel is situated in a beautiful, mountainous location which would be a great base for a walking holiday. As this was the most expensive hotel we booked on our trip, I had hoped for something special. But the rate may be a fair price for what looked like a expensive area. I was disappointed that although I requested a twin room we were given a double. We also had difficulty finding the hotel as it is not in Rocca Pietore itself.
