Location was ideal with walking distance for shopping / Pubs / Restaurants
Recepton staff very friendly and efficient. The fact that there was three floors with no lift was disappointing. The decor in the reception and bar area was inviting but the stairs leading to the rooms was badly worn and took from the feel of the place.
great location, went for a girlie week-end, bar, disco under one roof so didn't have to move to far and good bar food. Staff couldn't do enough for you.
Staff were some of the nicest I have come across-nothings too much trouble. Sometimes residents can be unruly.
beds were amazing so comfy
comfort and location no
The location on the main st., That they had a late night music bar. Didnt like the receptionist, she had no interest in the people she was dealing with. Didnt like the size of the rooms, they have done up hotel but in doing that have made the rooms tiny.
Staff very amazing great location I loved everything about my stay
The staff are very friendly and the hotel has a really homely feeling
Friendly staff location comfortable good value for money N/A
Our stay was very short - hours in fact! We had an early flight to catch and didn't get to the hotel until late in the evening. The room was very comfortable & clean.
The hotel is welcoming and comfortable - the food is good and the staff in the restaurant and eveywhere in the hotel are very pleasant and helpful
The staff and the facilities were excellent. Really relaxed and professional athmosphere Although not a complaint, from talking to other guests at the wedding, they did get the wedding room rate of €69 for their room, while I was charged €79 for both the rooms I booked. Also, my son did not want breakfast the following morning, but his partner did, and because he went into the breakfast room with her, he was charged €13 for a cup of tea he had .
Staff were very polite and friendly . Room clean and functional. The food whilst served in the bar is quite good.
Comfortable rooms, good value for money.
Stayed at this hotel on the 6th of feb for 1 nite with children interconnecting rooms were great great size also wold definitely recommend . I would highly recommend the hotel if you are just passing through and dont plan on doing anything else for an evening there. Just 1 thing I did not like was it is on the main motorway so nothing to do around the hotel whatsoever which was boring for the kids.
When we arrived there was some sort of party going on and the receptionist at the time, although clearly busy was very nice. Everything she said however seemed to have been recited and practiced which was a bit robotic and off putting but still, she made clear where everything was should we need it and told us how to get to our room. She set a good first impression. The room was clean and tidy as well as the corridors to the room. The TV kept being blocked by a sky digital message about it being inactive and press a button to stop it powering off which blocked a fair portion of the screen, it really wasnt that big of an issue but something worth noting. The shower also leaked a bit but again nothing major. Really the only 2 faults we had with the room. The restaurant only had a set menu which annoyed us a fair bit and the waiter was rather distant and almost rude in how he handled us. The receptionists the next morning were awful, took our key and basically shooed us out the door, no asking was our stay ok, or thanks for coming or anything. Just took the card and continued other things. Barely even looked at us!
Decor, the cleanliness was excellent as was the location of the hotel.Staff were friendly and efficient.
Staff very friendly, hotel well positioned on the banks of the river. Hotel convenient for meetings in the north as well as Dublin.
Modern decor, sumptuous room, with great facilities. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. The breakfast choice could have been a little better.A bit of an over reliance on meaty cooked breakfast products.
Good location pleasant staff. Attention to detail lacking. Heating not on in room.
Clean modern hotel situated in the heart of Drogheda. The staff are all extremely helpful and the complementary parking is a bonus.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Not enough staff on at breakfast time leading to delays in being seated even though lots of tables not cleaned off
The food menu was very appealing and presented really well. Our room was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The location is excellent too.
Front-desk staff was very helpful. Rooms and dining areas are modern and stylish. Although the hotel is located on a river, there are no tables available for outdoor dining with a view of the river.
Friendliness of staff Good outdoor seating ( loved by smokers) Lovely large and clean bedroom Good atmosphere Breakfast not top rate, porridge ,fried eggs ,poached eggs sadly missing
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The spa and pool area is very clean and a bonus to our stay. The 1st sign on the main road is very misleading and being on a busy main road could possibly cause an accident.
The bedroom was quiet & comfortable and very reasonable priced. Bar food (burger) was good and not overpriced. Well staffed with pleasant people.
Convenience to the event I was attending in the Drogheda area. I did not get a decent nights sleep for the two nights, due to noise from other guests.
We were so disppointed that we have no tea or coffee and biscuits.
the friendly staff well laid out groungs and hotel.mr mc namara`s greeting showed that it was e family buisness.
great location, facilities were fantastic, rooms were spacious and well looked after smell of cigarette and cigar smoke in many of the hallways, no bar staff on when we needed them during the day
It was relaxing and peaceful with beautiful surroundings The bedroom toilets could have done with some bleach around the rim of the toilet - it did not appear that it had been done for years. On the surface the whole room was clean apart from the toilet pan 'rim'
Spacious rooms, lovely large lawn area for the dog to romp around on. Just a little bit pricy.
We stay at the Boyne Valley hotel regularly when using Dublin airport...we love the convenience, hotel grounds and amenities. The only disappointment we have is we would like breakfast available at 6 or 6:30 rather than 7. Even just access to cereal, tea and bread would be great for those of us catching early flights.
Peaceful and tranquil surroundings Dull/Poor lighting in dining room
staff, facilities such as the restaurant on site and the nice ensuite location, quite a walk from trainstation
Food was excellent and staff were most hepful
I like the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff in the hotel Didn't like being able hear the music in the bar from my room
The person behind the desk was cheerful and very helpful. He made us feel very welcome.
This hotel is a real gem. The staff are friendly and courteous the restaurant is excellent and location of hotel near the shops. Television in rooms too small only 14 inch and choice of channels limited and no film channels.
Both staff and hotel itself were exceptional, the family atmophere and homely feeling made it a very enjoyable stay which is lacking in the majority of hotels. There was nothing there that i could complain about
The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. The room was extremely small, I had to climb over the bed to get to the other side.
friendly staff food good and service owner parked car
I Could find nothing to complain about nice homely hotel everything perfect staff pleasant and helpful
The manor was exceptionally clean and beautiful. It was in a great location for tourists visiting Ireland.
Friendly - helpful - great for a short stay in that area -
This home is of superior standard. It is immaculately presented and the facilities are excellent. The hosts are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast service can't be surpassed. Rooms are well appointed and very quiet. It is perfectly located a few minutes walk from the centre of town and is ideal for travelling to sites like Newgrange& Knowth. Can't recommend it highly enough. No
Very friendly hosts; good breakfast; clean and quiet accommodations.
Friendly and helpful host doubles as concierge and makes sure guests don't miss any local attractions and activities...including some not in any tourist brochures. Very quiet, comfortable room. Excellent home-made breakfasts in lovely dining room.
Quiet location easy walking distance to Navan town centre. Friendly reception from owners. Good (Thai) restaurant found on their recommendation. Navan town centre seemed scruffy. Lots of litter which is not my normal experience of Ireland.
Lovely spot. Pat was a gracious and frindly host The bathroom was too small
Friendliness of the owners together with attention to detail which included a high standard of cleanliness No
We had a wonderful time and were made to feel very welcomed, the rooms were clean, would recommend this place to friends
I was greeted by a very warm and approachable host who went out of his way to meet my every need. The room was well presented and very clean. The breakfast was lovely and I especially liked the home made jams! I would stay at this B&B again without any hesitation. 10/10 across the board.
Only 2 km from the World heritage site for Newgrange and Knowth. The cleaning crew were very friendly and helpful. Beds are like rocks...very uncomfortable.
Everything, ambiance & friendliness of everybody & not forgetting the Irish music night
Clean, queat hotel with good bar food and breakfast
Very Helpful staff, when i told them the shower did not work in my room they waived the charge on my breakfast
the staff were all extremly helpful and very very nice people.the rooms were lovely big and spacious and excellent value. no everything was fantastic
Decent location, close to Newgrange In 15 days of travel over Ireland / N.Ireland, this was hands-down the most uncomfortable bed we slept on. It was not just hard but warped, and the pillows were like bricks -- and so big you'd have to have a giraffe-neck to be comfortable. I actually got up in the middle of the night to pull a sweater from my luggage to use as a pillow. Staff was kinda meh. Look guys, if you're gonna run an "inn" it's not gonna be full of locals, so knock it off with the know-it-all, "ugh stupid foreigners" vibe.
Breakfast was nice, a supermarket is just across the street from the inn so very convenient if you need something for lunch or dinner, prime location for when you are visiting the Brú na Boinne Prehistoric sites Practically no heating while it was freezing -5°c outside, reception was not open when we arrived within the alloted timeperiod for check-in, check- out was done by the cleaning lady, they tried to overcharge us for breakfast, bathroom wasn't the cleanest I've ever seen, but not the dirtiest I've seen either
Good value, easy to find, cheap breakfast, late check-in Water pressure on shower was low, TV reception quality not great. But these were only minor inconveniences.
The restaurant was excellent very good steak. Friendly staff a good pint in the bar, breakfast not bad. Could ask how you like your eggs. Yes! Room was freezing when I got back from my night out also no hot water in shower and when I turned on hot tap water just spluttered out, so no shower before I left, In fairness the young girl did offer to move me to another room. When I told her at breakfast, but I was ready to go when I went up to get my bag the heat was on, this was at 9-15.because of the problem with hot water I was not charged for breakfast. That young girl is to be commended for thinking on her feet.
Kindness of personnel, good breakfast, not expensive an located in a good position. The best way to start our trip in Ireland.
Great location, friendly staff, good restaurant
Windsor Lodge is a beautiful solid brick building. Decor is traditional if a little dated but it has a clssy look and feel. Staff were lovely, homely and polite. I thought that in a four star accommodation I would get a better breakfast. I never take full Irish but I like lots of fruit, and good bread. I am sure thet somebody could supply good breads, jams, muffins etc, That would satisfy me.
The bed and the bathroom
The welcome and attention to detail were outstanding. The room was very well equipped and comfortable, We only stayed one night but when we return to this area we will definitely use this B&B again.
the staff were extremley helpful and courteous, the rooms were spacious and modern, the food was excellent and the loaction was brilliant.
friendly and helpful staff n/a
The fact that was closer in type top a hotel than B&B. Plenty parking. Good breakfast Not really - all was good.
Clean and modern, close to town centre they ran out of sausages for breakfast!
Very clean and quiet location
It was like a hotel.. Fab place None
We only stayed one night, but found it excellent for our needs. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was as good as you would expect in a five star hotel.
First impression was one of cleanliness, efficiency and friendliness. Room was immaculate, and good size. Food was excellent and service great. Only issue we had were people in the corridor during the night talking loudly and making noise.
The wonderful beds and quiet room My only suggestion is to include some of the good local whole grain breads in your breakfast menu.
Friendliness of staff and standard of food Standard of room, Large crack in plaster and pillows very uncomfortable
It was central in town with parking facilities. Cosy, comfortable, the staff were friendly. Great breakfast. I enjoyed my stay there.
very friendly staff, great bar, lovely rooms
Goo food and ell pesentd comfortable room. Very noisy late night music.
the wedding reception was very good...and room was very clean other guest accompaning me was disappointed at how far away the gym and leisure facilities were
The waiter/ waitress were very friendly and had a smile on their faces which does not cost a whole lot but makes a difference when you are staying away.
Very good location and the food and hotel entertainment were excellent. Twin room was a bit small.
The hotel was very clean and had a nice layout Breakfast was very good with a good variety of food to choose from Our room was beside the air conditioning unit and the noise was terrible was unable to get any sleep. Although complained to a member of staff got little or no satisfaction Said she would pass my complaint onto the manager, I have yet to hear from the management.
Good location, friendly staff, room service breakfast a must, late bar essential. Car park very tight for space
The residents bar was closed when we arrived back at the hotel, to the extent that we couldn't get a glass of water. Disappointing.
This was without doubt the best B & B I have stayed in, and I would recommend it to anyone so nice we stayed 1 extra night as we were less than 30mins to airport. The room was very comfortable , very quiet, squeaky clean with lovely toiletries & hospitality tray, had great night sleep. You know, I cannot recall a single thing I didnt like! Just simply wonderful and relaxing. Highly recommended
Good breakfast and a personal touch e.g. booking dinner for us at a nearby restaurant
Staff very friendly, and everything else was fine.
Since it was a B&B, the owners were very nice and helpful. Made a delicious full Irish breakfast. It was a little pricey but since it was the weekend of the RollingStones concert I believe they probably priced accordingly.
the breakfast was good but not cooked to order. Bacon was obviously cooked before hand so a bit hard. They left a complimentary drink in our room as it was my husbands 60th. the price.it was very over priced for just being a room in someone's house.very small and no bath, almost same price as 4* hotel in same area.wanted to just stay one night (booked 2)as musty smell and were told we would be charged for it.so had to stay.would not recommend because of the price. If you paid a lot less it would be more value for money.
Nice breakfast room, good breakfast, beautiful gardens. You definitely need a car and your own international mobile phone. Also our credit card did not work on their machine although we had no trouble with it before or after.
Had a wonerderful visit, Brenda the host was very friendly & helpful and made me feel very welcome. The whole premisies was very clean & modern and graden was full of flowers and was beautiful to look out at while having breakfast in the conservatory breakfast room.. My room was well appointed and had everything I required even the extra with the kit kats I enjoyed with my decaf coffee . Had a choice from a 10 option breakfast menu, had Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs it was perfect and Green Tea all served with a bread basket & Juice, just perfect. No complaints, the place was perfect from start to finish, hope to return soon.
Overall and throughout our stay at this bed & breakfast the service was superb and I couldn't fault it in any way at all. Both myself and my partner would reccommend it to all and sundry. Well done orley house
Orley House was perfect from start to finish. Orley House provides a first class friendly & professional service. The room was newly decorated and had everything we required the quailty of the bed linen and the bed was very comfortable and room was warm. We booked room only but on arrival we ordered dinner which was delicious and also had breakfast which was yummy real quailty food served. We had a very comfortable stay and we really enjoyed our dinner & breakfast. I have booked my parents in for Easter Week as I know they will have a wonderful stay, young & old will enjoy the hospitality and helpful & friendly service we received at Orley House. Orley House is in a perfect location for sightseeing or a visit to the spa/golf/beach We enjoyed everything, you would have a problem if you had a complaint . Everything was perfect, 100% well done Orley House.
Breakfast was nice and garden looked wonderful I knocked over vase under towel rack in bathroom - I think its possibly a bit dangerous where it is in very small space - I didn't break vase but I think it would be quite easy for that to happen.
Nice country location, good size rooms and comfortable beds, decent staple food but not much imagination. The remote for the TV was very quirky, so much so we didnt use it. Nice tea and coffee. Good place if you are into fox hunting. Some of the accomodation away from main house so no chance I could put high heels on Valentine's night, the bar /dining room area was always crouded and no enough space to sit down and have coffee. Worst was when I had fever and the receptionist said they dont have paracetamol or thermometer for guests on health and safety grounds.... It didn't feel right to be treated like 3-year old or mentally retarded, I just needed help there and then but did not get it and spent the night without sleep. They did offer a doctor, but we would hardly would had got one on Sunday night....
Excellent rooms, very good breakfast, helpful staff None that I kniw of
It was near to where my business trip was and the contact person from our importer
We were given an up grade to a two bed cottage which was very nice. From all the information we received we believed the restaurant to be open but strangely it only opens during the week & not at weekends. A number of clients were disappointed with this. This meant we had to travel 5 miles to find another nice restaurant.
The friendlinest of staff, quality of food and comfort of hotel. No
Relaxed surroundings great location for exploring beaches yet very close to Dublin
Superb rooms for the second time already! Good bar-meal and breakfast.
The rooms are very well finished. I especially liked the comfortable bed.
Quiet and Very comfortable
The entire experience at The Waterside was wonderful. Michael, our morning chef, was extrordinary. Food in pup was great, people lovely. Upon our arrival we had been travelling fr 20 some hours. The receptionist was short, and not very friendly at all. No welcoming conversation, or friendly chat. This was our first Ireland experience and first Irish greeting. We were taken aback. As the time progressed, Michael was the one who made the next few days a true Irish welcome.
Room cold on arrival The radiator should have been switched on. Once this was done the room quickly warmed up.
The food No complaints really, televisions could do with ypdating but otherwise all ok
staff friendly food good rooms very clean late bar very good will stay their again
breakfast having to eat evening meal in a crowded, noisy bar
Staff were very good The bedding was too heavy and because of that alone i would not stay at the Ardboyne again nor recommend it. The question below about guest reviews needs a 'don't know' - i didn't look at any.
The bar food was really excellent ! The hotel has insufficient non smoking rooms (only 4 out of 29 rooms. I had to take the best smoking room they had which was reasonably odour free.
Lovely big hotel. Room was huge and very clean. Plenty of parking. Good bathroom. A little expensive.
The staff were very friendly, helpful & efficient. The ambience & comfort in the bar & foyer and the bedroom was cosy & comfortable. no
The price and the friendly service Difficult to find especiall at night, as there was no sinage at main road and entrance
The location & The Staff.
